Every time I eat at this place they treat me like family. They always know my order and don't even have to ask me what I want. Hands down the best Mexican food in all of Central New York!

The food is always fresh and incredible, the portions are huge and a super burrito could feed 2 people. Love the people, very friendly staff and the meats are my favorite part, the chicken, pork, steak all soaking in the juices tender waiting to be taken out and chopped.

I was very excited to try out the new location and I was not disappointed! The building is very nice and clean (renovation was done beautifully!) I had the taco salad, which was enough for two meals, as well as chips and cheese. Prices are fair and the food is DELICIOUS. Sat out on the patio on a warm evening with some wine slushees and enjoyed a great dinner. Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back and try something else!

We ordered catering for a holiday party from here and everything about our experience was incredible. From the initial phone call with Lisa when she patiently answered my million questions, took the order and emailed the invoice, I knew we made the right choice. The food was delivered at the time we planned by three people who carried it into our house and happily offered to set up the pans with sternos. They were quick, professional and friendly. The food was incredible. We ordered half pans of carnitas and chicken with peppers and onions, yellow rice and black beans. Tortillas, tortilla chips, pico, queso and guac completed our order. Several guests couldn’t make it due to being sick (tis the season) so we had a lot of leftovers which I am enjoying as I write this. The food was a huge hit with our friends and already on the list for next year’s annual party. 100% recommend ordering from this incredibly professional, kind and talented local business. You will not regret it!!

Ponchito's is just down the road from my office. Love to walk over for lunch. I usually get the burrito in a box. They put it together while you wait. I've had it with steak or fried pork. Both are delicious. Service is friendly and quick. Prices reasonable.

Me and my daughter enjoyed Ponchitos! Always wanted to try it and glad I did. I ordered the shrimp burrito And smothered steak nachos. My daughter had the ground beef queso and we definitely enjoyed it. the price was just amazing. Def will be trying again!

Well, our first visit won't be our last. Have been meaning to try Ponchitos for a long time. Oh my. Massive burritos. Fresh made right in front you. I had beef and my wife had steak. Huge is the word. Delicious. Place is clean. Staff is friendly.

I have only been to the one near GM Circle. If the other sites are half as good they would be fantastic. My favorite are the Super Burritos custom made to order. Watch carefully and maybe you'll see the secret to how they get so much inside.

12/22/2021 I ordered 2 ground beef tacos, 1 ground beef burrito, and an iced tea. It was delivered quickly from the Fayette Street location and the food was EXCELLENT!! The 2 tacos were so stuffed, I ate them with a fork. I was so full after those that I ended up saving the burrito for dinner tonight!! Can't wait to dig into it later!!!!

This is the first time I have been back to Panchito's since they were down in the Valley a few years ago. Their burritos are as good as I remember if not better. Its nice to know that their commitment to quality has not changed even with their growth. By far the best burrito in Syracuse.

This new location is amazing! So glad to see a restaurant on the Westside. The food is DELICIOUS- I got the burrito box... The bar inside is definitely an added plus. I go to this place very frequently! The food and service is beyond awesome! The place is kept very clean and I cannot emphasize the size of the portions for the value, if you leave there hungry its your own fault!

First, Ponchito's is always great. Miss Lisa is a saint. She allowed me to take and enjoy my meal when dealing with technical difficulties from my bank not allowing my payment to go through. She took the chump change (about $15 ) in cash I had and sent me on my way. It was only about half the payment for my meal. She didn't know I was rushing a bit that day and it was my lunch I almost wasn't able to have that she made possible. I thank you Lisa and I will be back to get another great meal, pay for it entirely lol and tip.

Excellent food. Due to them being so busy a first timer can be intimidated because the menu is on the wall behind the counter but the staff was great and food was amazing. Seemed pricey but what dosent these days.

They have some of the best birra tacos in Syracuse, but they're only served on Tuesdays currently. Burritos are really good as well. The regular burritos are huge, the super are enormous. This is going to sound weird but their wings are also very good.

Excellent tacos! HUGE plate of loaded nachos (with good guacamole)! Our server was pleasant, knowledgeable and patient. A strawberry wine slushy was a nice plus! Absolutely enormous burritos made right in front of you with fresh, delicious ingredients. The chicken, the steak, the chicharron, you can’t go wrong. Let’s talk about the service. The person making your burrito may or may not have a hangover and either won or lost money on a game last night, but these are people who love burritos and love making them. And it comes through. All that is to say that Ponchito’s is exactly what you want out of a ln authentic burrito place.

This place never fails. I love the people who work there. They’re cool, hard working, and I just love giving my business to them. I’ve heard about how good their birrias were, so I finally made my way down on a Tuesday to get them, and they exceeded all expectations. This is the best Mexican in Syracuse.

One of the best Taqueria’s in upstate New York. On Tuesdays they do Birria Tacos with steak or shrimp. A little bit more expensive than a chain restaurant like chipolte, but so worth it. Ask about their secret paper menu too! I’ve eaten here once a week for lunch since moving upstate!

The best. Very clean and fresh food. I go here about 1x a week if I am in town. So delicious. I get the homemade burrito. They make it right in front of you and its just as good every time. All the ingredients are fresh. They also have an outdoor patio to sit and eat at. It is also reasonably priced considering the cost of everything going up. This place has managed to still offer a delicious meal with a healthy serving size. I get two meals from 1 entrée.

Everything is really tasty! Yeah, I said EVERYTHING is REALLY tasty! I've never been let down or unsatisfied ever. The meal prices are great and the meal portions are phenomenal! Most people can fill up to the point of needing to release the top button on their pants and still have some to take home for a later snack. It's truly satisfying!

Ponchito's is THE best place in town for Birria tacos. I've been told and have heard from many people that "oh this other place has the best birria's"; I've tried ALL of them. Mamacitas, Guadalajara, BirriaTacoQuesoSYR, etc., and they are all decent I'm not trying to diss anyone, they all have great food, but NO ONE even comes close to Ponchito's for Birria and everything else too. I'll admit I usually only go on Tuesday's for Birria, but I have had some other menu items like Quesadilla and Burrito as well, and they are also fantastic. But yeah, take my word for it, I've tried EVERY Birria place in and around Syracuse and Ponchito's does it the best and it's not even close.

My coworker saw me eating and said "that's gotta be a super burrito if I've ever seen one" no dude, this massive honk of a burrito is a regular. Definitely get the quack and jalapenos for great flavor. Pretty sure the toppings cost most, but it's worth it if you're going here.

A couple friends were telling me I needed to try Ponchitos for a long time, now I've been to both locations and the one that closed down. I've gotten the super burrito with ground beef, chicken and steak and I'd pay the extra for steak every time. It's the reason I've been so many times, the ground beef was a bit disappointing compared and the chicken was good but the steak is great. If you've been here and gotten something else or if you've never been, go and pay extra for it.

I've been wanting to try this style of tacos for a while now. Ive been looking for places but I had no luck. One of my friends told me about this and she took me to Ponchito's to finally try this. Well I have to say I wasnt disappointed. These are so delicious. The only thing I would say it's a tad bit on the spicy side for me. This is preference for me not a big spicy person wished they had a version that wasnt so spicy so I could enjoy the consume. Besides this. The tacos was worth the wait and now my favorite thing to order on Tuesdays. Definitely give this place a try.

We were very glad that we stopped in to try it out. First impression was very good fun art on the side of the building, a very clean interior. The staff was very friendly. We decided to try several smallplates. The honey, garlic ginger wings were unique and very tasty. We also had 3 small.chicken tacos, again very good. I loved the fresh guacamole with the tacos. We also got a small order of the Chicharrones, tasty pieces of fried pork. More than enough food for 3 people. We will be back soon.

I had to give them another try and i am glad i did! I don't know what you guys did differently with the Birria tacos but OMG SO GOOD! THEY WERE WELL SEASONED THIS TIME GRAT FLAVOR!! So glad i gave them a second try with the tacos!

Really good taco really satisfied my craving the new place is so much better then the one in the Valley fresh look and great vibes. I just really wish the soft shell taco was homemade it would have topped it right off with 5 stars.

I have been a Ponchito's fan for years. The burritos are very large and the Super burritos are HUGE! My favorites are the fish or shrimp tacos made to order with fresh pico, guac and toppings. You definitely get what you pay for. I've only finished a loaded super burrito twice in one sitting.

Tried here with my fiance the other night, I got 2 chicken tacos and he got a burrito. He said he asked for no tomatos and our were loaded with them. However the wine slushie is amazing, thanks for recommending we try it!

Went to get a ground beef taco without sour cream on July 31st. The employee cashed me out for my $4 taco. I gave him $10 and he gave me $4 back. Not only did he take a $2 tip from me he kept my $2 he didn't give me back in the cash drawer. The food is so good I will definitely go back but it's a crummy feeling when someone steals from you. Hidden gem. Moderately lit, spacious, large portions & decent prices. Place was clean, colorful& staff were cordial. You can eat in or take out. Parking available on the side of the building. Food was good & filling. I’d go again.

Have ordered from Ponchito's several times and the food is always awesome! Plenty to eat! My only concern is the last two times I've stopped there in the morning for a Breakfast Burrito...both times getting there at opening at 7:00am and waiting until 7:10am and the door still wasn't unlocked for business. First time, someone came out of the back door heading to the dumpster to throw trash out at 7:10am, yelling over "We'll be open in about 10-15 more minutes. The second time as I waited at the front door, someone opened the side door at 7:10am, tossed a trash bag outside the door and closed it immediately. Come on man...you've got to do better. If you say you're open at 7:00am, then open at 7:00am.

The food is very delicious. I went for a quick dinner and had chicken tacos with my friend. The staff that day seemed a bit unenthused but hey maybe they worked 8 hours before my arrival. There is ample seating and a variety of diverse customers came in while I ate. For Syracuse, it is good Mexican food. Good for like drop in. Not super fancy which is okay.

Interesting building, not so interesting food. Initially, I was attracted by the relative newness of this place and the prospect of tasty tacos. The end result was just lukewarm tacos that make me hesistant to order carnitas from just anywhere. I don’t think this place is bad by any means, but the food just doesn’t inspire me take out my wallet. Bonus points for having easy parking and a nice outdoor patio. Be warned though, drivers passing by might stare at you but they’re actually just staring at the restaurant 😂.

A great place to eat , Filling Portions, I ordered Burrito Supreme and Loaded nachos... Great Front end staff..as I was paying you can see area where dish washing area is .the female dishwasher who was on duty walked in backdoor was smoking out by parking lot came in didn't wash her hands and as I was paying for food the female dishwasher had gloves on and used her hands to scratch her butt under her pants... Then wiped on jeans... ( MIKE YOU NEED TO FIRE HER... )

brought my sis in law and son for lunch. no one even spoke to us as we walked in. they have paper menus set out on the table with all the wrong prices on them. the girl that was working was expressionless as we spoke to her about getting a drink. she was equally as expressionless as she took our orders. the food was pretty good but they really lack customer service. the food was not good enough to make me come back.

I came here, because I heard that the food was cheap, and that you get a lot of it. It is safe to say you get a lot of it! I was barely able to finish my burrito! It was like the size of a sub sandwich. I got the steak, and it was okay. I think next time I will try the chicken, but what I really want to go back for is breakfast. It was more expensive than I was expecting for a burrito though.

Decent food unfortunately this my 3rd time getting a chicken taco and the meat is cold and bland (unflavorful) definitely will stick to the beef. The ketchup is also a disappointment as it's not the jalapeno lime as the menu says.

Food was basic and "ok" but the service was so bad, I can not go back anytime soon. Very aggravating experience. The location is great and I was very excited to go and try it out but was so disappointed. I will give them time and wait till new staff comes in, because I really want this location to work. There is a beautiful mural on the side of this restaurant as well as nice artwork on the inside. While the portions are huge, the food was disappointing and completely lacked flavor. I ordered a taco salad and was surprised to have received it in a plastic container instead of a taco shell bowl. Maybe we came on a bad night and if they seem to turn things around I would give them another try. They have a large bar area and if I were to go back someday I’d give one of their wine slushees a try.

People have food allergies, I specifically ask for no peppers and onions yet they put SALSA ON IT, what comes in salsa PEPPERS AND ONIONS! So I bought a carnitas taco salad, 1 chicken taco soft, & 3 steak tacos. Nothing had flavor it was a total waste of money. I threw away the taco salad. I threw away the 1 chicken soft taco because the chicken was weird. I'm trying to eat the 2 steak tacos. Because I'm so hungry. I gave my mom 1 steak soft taco because I thought my taste Buds was off, but they weren't. she didn't like it either.

I love the food there but they are lacking any type of consistency in online ordering. I've ordered from a 3rd party delivery service and out of the 8 times in the last year I've ordered from Ponchitos its been cancelled 7 times! A phone call (my number is on the order ticket) from the restaurant as to why the order was cancelled would have been professional and courteous! There's a brand new restaurant in town I'll take my business to!

This place has gone way down hill, so sad!!!!! Prices are insane and are not consistent. The store vs online grub hub app. Price is Way more in the store. Also, Let's just put half a not ripe Avacadoe on loaded nachos and say it's quacamole. Make you pay extra for guacamole you are not getting, Pay for it for 3 things and only get it on one. Old Stale Nachos! What I let down. I do not recommend going here ever again.

I ordered a large burrito and said sour cream on the side this man said it's extra I said extra for what when it already comes on the burrito he said read the borad I said I been coming here for a while and never paid for sour cream on the side I also told the big guy I never seen him work there he said he been there for 17 years I don't think so I going to the one in Eastwood better ppl with customer service

Food was OK. They were extremely rude. Specially the guy working at the time. Didn’t put the guac on the side like I asked. they charged me for a regular sized burrito bowl when I got a smaller “kiddie” size. Could of just told me I’d get charged the same amount as a regular bowl... Crazy expensive for no reason.. the guys at w Seneca are muchhhhhhh nicer and more genuine.. higher quality and better portions over there too. I’ve never written a review for anything before but I couldn’t believe how rude this guy was. Rolled his eyes at me and everything... not cool man :/

The portion sizes are huge but that's the only good thing I can say about our food. We ordered 3 tacos. The meat tasted like high school taco meat and even that was better tasting then thier taco meat. It tasted mass produced and disgusting. My husband's taco salad had the same taste. The nacho cheese tasted like it cam from the huge cans from Walmart. The chips were stale. We won't be ordering from thier again. The salsa was greenish and disgusting looking so we didn't even try it.

My sister and I went there to pick up dinner tonight and it was awful. Great customer service, order was correct but the food was a whole other story. Plantains burnt to a crisp, beans taste like they were just poured from a can with nothing added. Lastly the Quesadilla was flavorless. So disappointing. Won't be back.
