Delicious and wonderful experience at Jerk Pit! The oxtail was amazing, flavorful, and big!! The customer service here was also very great. I accidentally dropped my beef patty on the floor and they immediately replaced it with a new one. Overall the food here perfectly satisfied my cravings. Super tasty food and amazing customer service ☺️

The oxtails and the beef Patties are amazing! My first time trying it with coco bread and it was amazing. Came here a big while ago and forgot to review, but this place is a must! The owner was so nice and sweet as well, excellent customer service. Their wings are nice and juicy too🤤 I didn’t even take a pocture of my food cause i was too busy eating it lol. Best oart is They have fresh juices that the owner makes, they’re amazing!!! Hands down one of the best fresh juices Ive had in a while. I recommend the fruit punch for sure, she sells out really fast. The beet juice is amazing as well!!! They also had some desserts but i didn’t grab any (i regret it now 😭) Need to come here again!

My wife and I were craving for some Jamaican food. We google to see what was near us and if there were any located around that were open. We came across Jerk Pit and it was roughly 8:40pm and closing time is 9:00pm. We still decided to call and try our luck. I believe it was the owner but I’m not 100%. Still took our order and was extremely nice. 10/10 Customer Service. Gave us a courtesy call letting us know the food was done while we were on the way, the pictures describe it all. Food was really good & fresh!!!! Couldn’t believe we were able to still get an order in. Thank you Jerk Pit - we will be coming back.

I stumbled across the place while here in Tampa. I’m always skeptical of trying West Indian food outside of the NYC area. But I was in town and figured I’d give it a shot. I spoke with the young lady that takes the orders and I asked what’s their best dish. She said Oxtails 1st and then their Jerk Chicken 2nd. I explained that I loved oxtail and that I’m very picky about where I try it. She assured me that it was a can’t miss. I ordered it and it was VERY good, nice size portion. I spent about $32 for the a tray of Oxtail with white rice and a Modelo. I highly recommend this place. I can’t wait to go back and try their Jerk Chicken

Don’t walk to Jerk Pit, run! This place catered for our work party last night and everything was amazingly good. The jerk pork was moist and delicious, and cooked to perfection. The curried goat was the star of the show. Cooked with the perfect amount of spice and so tender. The mac & cheese was equally impressive. Everyone loved the food! Several people even took plates to go because they couldn’t get enough. A huge hit all around and definitely recommend! West Tampa Costco has found a new catering spot for our future events.

The host, who surprisingly didn’t even realize he was the owner, was so friendly and welcoming. I also ordered a fresh passion fruit juice that was bursting with flavor. I live in Wesley chapel and we definitely don't mind the travel to this authentic tasty Jamaican cuisine. Been here a few times and they definitely don't miss... From the brown stew chicken to the curry and the beef patties everything is tender, tasty well seasoned and fresh. Zero complaints... It's so good! You don't mind eating it in an uncomfortable position in the car LOL. Mr. Marvin was very polite and welcoming and made the experience feel like you were dining with a family friend. Customer service goes a long way, especially in these times. We will definitely continue to come back and if you're thinking about going to jerk Hut, No shade BUT This is where you need to be instead

I have never been disappointed with the food from Jerk Pit! Their oxtail and jerk pork are my two personal favorites. My son enjoys their jerk pork and curry chicken. They also have a delicious assortment of desserts.

Marvin is such a gentleman! He provided excellent service.. I tried the Peanut Punch, Sorrel and the Carrot Juice, all home made.. I must say is the best I’ve ever had. I ordered Oxtails, cabbage, rice and beans, Mac and cheese with plantains.. My soul jumped when I tasted it.. the best.. I most definitely will come back! Jerk Pit can have my money any day!!!

Yeah Mon’‼️🇯🇲 This was my first time eating at Jerk Pit, and it came highly recommended by an employee visiting from another office in our building. To be honest, I was skeptical. Many Caribbean restaurants I have tried tend to be overpriced with food that is underwhelming at best. 🫤 I even mentioned this to the young lady at the counter as I completed my order. She paused, looked at me with confidence, and simply said, “You’ll be back.” She was right. The food was outstanding. 🤩Flavorful, well seasoned, and deeply satisfying. As other reviews have mentioned, the portions are very generous. I am playing bachelor for a couple of weeks while my family is out of town, and I bought two plates that I split into multiple meals. They lasted me nearly a week. Nearly, because the food was so good I almost finished one plate in a single sitting, which would have been pure gluttony. Jokes aside, I was genuinely impressed. I want to commend Jerk Pit for their cuisine, portion size, and pricing. I would not call it expensive. I would call it moderate and fair for the quality and quantity. A quick note that Sundays are dinner pricing, but it is worth it. I highly recommend this place to anyone who enjoys Caribbean cuisine, especially Jamaican food. I ordered the curry chicken roti and the Jamaican jerk barbecue ribs, and both were home runs. The curry chicken was tender, the roti dough was excellent, the stewed cabbage was well done, and the rice and peas were very good. What impressed me most was how well the rice reheated. Many places fall apart on day two, but this rice and peas tasted just as good, if not better, with a subtle smokiness coming through more clearly the next day. The jerk barbecue ribs were seasoned perfectly with the right balance of heat and sweetness. If I had one critique, it would be that plantains are not offered as an option. I love plantains and would gladly choose them over stewed cabbage. (They do offer plantains as a side option but purchased separately, not included with the meals). I also ordered a side of their fried dumplings. My goodness. My grandmother would have been proud. If you remember the movie Ratatouille, there is a moment when the critic takes a bite and is transported back to childhood comfort and warmth. That is exactly what those dumplings did for me. They took me back to sitting at my grandmother’s knees as her baking and cooking assistant, tasting food fresh from the kitchen. Thank you, Jerk Pit, for a truly pleasant culinary experience. As Sherry said, I will be back. And I promise you, if you go once, you will be back too.😋

I came to this establishment yesterday because I had read the reviews and wanted to try there oxtails I went in wasn’t greeted the guy at the register seemed to not want to be bothered, I told him I wanted a oxtail dinner and he said it was $32 I asked was that for a large he said “yes” so I asked okay can I get a regular size this man said “ we don’t have regular” I was like okay let me do the large he stated it would be $35 and some change like huhhhh that’s almost $40 when the place I go to originally has regular and large and their large is $26 I am appalled that people are paying that for one plate smh besides the price his attitude wasn’t to my liking I ended up walking out and going where I normally go and was definitely satisfied this was a sign for me to never switch up and stick to what I know.
