Surprised with the chefs table. Thomas was a great waiter. Recommendations were great. Sirloin steak and Short Rib pasta were incredible. Cookies for dessert!

Had such a good time. Taylor took care of me! She recommended the tiramisu for dessert made by Sal aaannnd it was delicious! One of the best tiramisus I’ve ever had! 10/10 service and food!

I rarely give a perfect review. From the wait time to be sat for the reservation being minimal to the service from the wait staff to the ultimate measure of food that was absolutely devine! I started with a pear cocktail from the menu. Onto the double pork chop. I would describe this as the best pork chop I have ever had- ever!!!! My pallet has been watering to go again and it was so good I cannot eat pork chops at home or other restaurants for fear I will be disappointed. Amazing find- being quite a connoisseur of restaurants it took me way too long to try this gem in Tampa’s Hyde park vicinity! Only issue I have is that I cannot seem to get another reservation- it’s always booked so plan ahead for this must visit!

The atmosphere at On Swann is truly phenomenal, creating an inviting and lively environment. It’s one of my favorite spots to unwind. Al, the bartender, is exceptional—attentive, friendly, and always ready with great recommendations that enhance the experience. I definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a memorable outing, offering healthy options alongside indulgent treats 😂😭, and a mix of fun choices. The food is excellent, and the ambiance perfectly complements a great time. Overall, it’s a place I highly suggest for its vibrant atmosphere and great service.

I recently went to On Swann for a Saturday brunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday, and honestly, it was a delight. The vibe is relaxed but chic. The cocktails were amazing. Also loved the light bites, especially the hummus dip platter, which was perfect for sharing. Then I went with the chef’s choice omelet, and it did not disappoint. Side note we were a group and they were are to divide the check out amount us.

From start to finish - we can truly say that this was one of the best meal experiences we've ever had! Went for a anniversary lunch, and from the food items selected to the exquisite service provided by our waitress (Malorie...Gracías!), we couldn't had asked for a better day & memory!

10/10! I had the Burger with pimento cheese and the Short Rib ragu gemelli. Hal gave amazing service, the vibe was great, and food came fast. A perfect dining experience!

This place is amazing! Awesome service, fantastic drinks and the food is outrageous. Can’t wait to try it again !

Update Dec 2024: I took someone out to lunch here. I enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. The food was excellent. The restaurant was full, with a wait and so loud that I could barely hear to hold a conversation. More noise abatement would be helpful. I will return, but not at peak lunch time. First time here. Excellent Chicken Sandwich. I wish they had a non-spicy version, but the spice was not too bad. The slaw on it was a nice touch. The bacon green beans were worth the $3 up charge from the fries. I appreciate that these did not have garlic on them and had lots of bacon flavor & bits. Tables next to me ordered salads, and the pimento cheese, which looked good. I plan to return to try these and their bread pudding. This place is worth the price given the food quality, presentation, taste, ambiance and welcoming service - at least for lunch.

One of Tampa's consistently good restaurants, On Swann never fails to deliver!After multiple visits here, it's time to post a review. The food is top-notch, and my servers have been wonderful and helpful. On the last visit, despite having a reservation on a week night, I had to wait 30 minutes past my reservation time for a table. I was warned as such when we checked in, but I was given neither an apology nor an offer by the restaurant for my inconvenience. That's the only reason it got docked a star on service (no issues with our server). Management: you run an awesome restaurant, but when you cause your guests to wait longer than they should, at least offer a drink or appetizer to get them in good graces. It's an easy and relatively cheap show of good faith, and if that's too much, at least send the manager to apologize. Otherwise, a fantastic meal, as usual. Tonight, I went with the pork chop topped with a berry-mustard glaze, cheesy grits and asparagus (all 5's!), and blueberry and strawberry cobbler for dessert (3.5-4 - not enough fruit). Everything was delicious, although I'd probably go with a different dessert next time. If I could give the entire rating of 4.5, I would - knocked slightly by the wait and lackluster dessert. Otherwise, I highly recommend visiting!

Service is excellent Atmosphere is great and welcoming! Food is phenomenal! If you want the best empanadas in Tampa - go here. It’s the best! Ordered a bunch of food for two people and it was amazing. The lamb meatballs were delicious. Burrata was on point and the hot chicken was good! I honestly don’t mind eating only apps for dinner here! So many options and all So good! Really had no room for the Steak Frites but we ate it anyways!

We had the absolute pleasure of being served by Brad at On Swann, and he completely redefined what exceptional service looks like. From the moment we sat down, he was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our dining experience outstanding. He not only recommended incredible dishes but also took the time to explain the ingredients, ensuring we knew exactly what to expect. Our food arrived promptly and perfectly prepared, and our drinks were never empty for even a second. Brad’s level of professionalism, enthusiasm, and attention to detail was beyond anything we’ve experienced—and we eat out a lot. In a world where great service seems to be disappearing, Brad restored our faith in humanity. He is, without a doubt, the best server we have ever had. If you’re dining at On Swann, ask for Brad—you won’t regret it!

One of our favorite restaurants that we go to, but it was our first time going to celebrate my wife’s birthday and they went above and beyond to make our experience nothing short of amazing. They left a card, had special menus and a surprise dessert. Like every visit, the food was outstanding! This review can’t express how pleased we are every time we go to On Swann but we hope everyone in the Tampa area has a chance to experience culinary greatness! Sorry photos include bites taken because we couldn’t contain our excitement to dig in!

Food was delicious! Atmosphere was very nice. You can easily have a nice dinner sitting at the bar or getting a table.

Visited recently while on vacay for my bday .. the whole experience was memorable .. my friend and I couldn't stop talking about how awesome the food and service was! My two dogs were able to sit on the patio, the staff brought them water also! Everyone who visited our table from the manager to the food runner to our waitress/server made the evening even better. They gave great input on the menu and brought us some extra touches like a palate cleanser and glasses of champagne! We had the lamb meatballs, carpaccio, cubanitos, kale salad and bread pudding and I think I'm still dreaming of that meal! A must visit if you're in Hyde Park Tampa area. Thank you to all who made our time so wonderful!

Great meat & cheese board! I highly recommend pairing that with the Coppertail Triple ale. The arrancini was delightful. Lamb meatballs are really fun. The short rib pasta was on fire. Go eat there!

My boyfriend and I decided to try out on swann for the first time last night and we left satisfied. The food was so delicious , our favorite plate was the mussels, they had so much flavor. Our server Amanda was so attentive and recommended us great options. Ron, the manager was so helpful and kind enough to help me celebrate my boyfriend’s promotion with a dessert he suggested with chocolate writing saying “congrats.” We cant wait to go back.

We came early to have drinks at the bar and wait for our reservation. We were sat immediately for our reservation check in time and it was a perfect transition from bar to table. :) Service was absolutely perfect. Food was beautiful AND tasty. Bartenders were knowledgeable and entertaining. Loved our seating and promp service and helpful walk through the menu for our first time. Thank you. (Highly suggest the saffron arabcini and the Mediterranean Egg dish)

Atmphosphere on a Thursday night was a very lively and it looked like the restaurant had a perfect flow! Hostesess were very nice and acommodating! Me and my behalf loved the Tuna Crudo… michelin star presentation and the flavors were so complex,rich, well balanced and rounded with slight sweet acidity! Steak Carpaccio was amazing !! Steak frites was exceptional! Server Natalia was amazing thru out service with very personable service and genuine care . Bryan was amazing in accommodating us as well ! Will come back !!’

Finally had a chance to check out On swann. Al and his boys at the bar were beyond spectacular. The food was amazing but the service hands down 10/10 . Me and my wife had an amazing time. We started with beef carpaccio and short ribs empanadas. For entrees we had the scallops and burger with truffle fries. The cocktails were very well hand crafted we love watching the bartender put up a show on making delicious cocktails for us. And the finally was the bread pudding with ice cream for dessert. the final touch of us wanting definitely come back again.

I really enjoy this restaurant! The staff is friendly, and they were very nice to my dogs while we ate on the patio. I had the short rib pasta, which was a bit salty but delicious, and I finished the entire dish. The meat was tender and the pasta was cooked perfectly. The downside is that the nearby parking garages are usually full, making it tough to find a spot.

Went for lunch. The wine list was nice. Ate at the bar and the Bartender was friendly and attentive. One doesn't want to get thirsty. I had the mussels and they were wonderful. I looked around at what others were having and I think the tomato soup and the very cheesy grilled cheese on sourdough looked good. They conveniently located across the street from the public parking structure. Will definitely return for dinner.

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here, and let me just say that it was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had! The place was clean and beautiful, and the people there, including the hosts, were so nice. The cocktails were AMAZING and the food.. wow!! We got the hamburger and the hot chicken :) Ron (the manager) was amazing and so kind. We recommend this place to ANYONE

Wife and I went for a date night and it was an all around great experience! Came for drinks and apps and everything we had was incredible! Especially loved the Cubanitos, empanadas and spicy margarita drink. Will be back!

We went for brunch at On Swann last Sunday. We booked our reservation in advance. The roadside parking was full, so we parked in the garage nearby. When we entered the restaurant, we were greeted at the register and seated at our table. We were greeted by our server Caroline with menus.After checking out the menu, we started our order with appetizers, which included Italian Doughnuts, Croissant, Truffle Fries and for drinks we ordered Sober Mule, Watermelon-Strawberry, and coffee. For brunch, we ordered Avocado Toast, Mushroom Toast, Chicken Sandwich, Gemelli Pasta and Smoked Salmon. Soon we got our order for appetizers and drinks. From the appetizers, Truffle Fries were well made, Italian Doughnuts were also a good start to the brunch. We soon got our order for brunch, too. The Chicken Sandwich was delicious, tasty with a well-made chicken patty. The Smoked Salmon was delicious and well-cooked to perfection. The Gemelli Pasta was excellent as well, although the first portion I received was slightly undercooked.I returned it and received a perfectly cooked version, which was equally delicious and well made. Sunday brunch at the restaurant was great, with excellent service and delicious food.

Great restaurant that’s been around a while in Hyde Park Village. Hyde Park has several places to eat, but I would say this is the spot for understated elegance and top-notch food. We went for lunch today and I had their famous kale salad with brussels sprouts and some grilled chicken. My friend was in the mood for a burger and a beer. It did not disappoint on either meal. Everything was prepared well and tasted wonderful. Service was great too. This is a lovely place to go on a date, celebrate a birthday, or just enjoy a nice evening out. I would say the clientele is more mature and it’s a quieter place than other establishments in Hyde Park Village.

I would recommend. The food was great, however I didn’t get the best ribeye cut, nor the right temperature. But the place was clean and service was the best.

While we were in Tampa for a soccer tournament, I made a reservation here for the whole family. The area is very upscale and perfect for a nice walk before or after dinner. Even though it was very crowded at 7 p.m., our table was ready and we were seated immediately without any wait. Service was fast and our server was excellent. Inside the restaurant, it was incredibly loud due to the crowd, so you need to raise your voice to have a conversation. The appetizers came out very quickly. I tried the Jaded Lens, a spicy cocktail, and my spouse had the Mi Alma, a sweet one; both were excellent. We ordered oysters and hot chicken for the table, and both were flavorful. I expected the sauce on the chicken to be a bit sweeter, though. The main courses took longer to arrive; they weren’t as fast as the appetizers. I think the kitchen might have been a bit overwhelmed. I had the salmon, which was very tasty and nicely cooked. However, the beluga lentils underneath didn’t really pair well with the fish. The kids ordered a burger and the roasted chicken. They really enjoyed the burger, but the chicken was undercooked and came out pink inside. We sent it back, and the manager came to our table to apologize. She offered us dessert or drinks on the house, which was very kind of her. These things can happen, and I completely understand. It’s an upscale casual restaurant, great for gatherings with friends. If you’re looking for a quieter dinner, I recommend sitting outside. We used valet parking, which costs $15 and is run by Hyde Park Village, not the restaurant itself. There’s also free garage parking in Hyde Park. Overall, we liked the place.

On Swann is a stylish and inviting restaurant located in the beautiful, upscale Hyde Park area of Tampa. I had heard great things about it, so my boyfriend and I decided to check it out. As usual, we started with a bottle of wine—but unfortunately, the selection was a bit underwhelming. We ordered the meatball appetizer, which was delicious and served in a charming little skillet. Oddly enough, it arrived before our wine did. For our entrees, I was expecting a truly standout experience, especially considering all the hype and the elegant ambiance. While the food was good, it just didn’t blow me away, and the service, although friendly, didn’t elevate the experience as much as I had hoped. Overall, On Swann is definitely a nice restaurant with a great vibe, but it wouldn’t be my top choice for a return visit. If you’re in the area, I actually recommend checking out their sister restaurant, Oak and Ola—it offers a more memorable dining experience in my opinion.

Overall a great experience at On Swann! One of the ladies in our group is gluten free and they had a separate menu for her and were very accommodating. Drinks were delicious and the apps were so yummy too! We were a bit unimpressed by the entrees but totally a great place for drinks and apps. Our waitress was fantastic!

The restaurant earns a solid 4-star rating. The food is a strong 4, though the burger I tried had a bun that wasn’t fresh. The atmosphere is decent but could be improved—it was too warm, and the seating area where we were wasn’t very comfortable. Service was adequate, but I had to flag down my server multiple times, as she didn’t proactively check if we needed anything. Probably would not go back.

Went to Sunday brunch here with some family and friends. Greeted and seated asap, and felt welcomed in the process. Water came out promptly and drink orders taken in the same manor. Our waiter had no problem making suggestions when asked and that is always appreciated in my book. Drinks and apps came out...they were delicious and had us all excited for our entrees. Once they arrived we kinda hit a flat note due to lack of seasoning...but they were good. Dessert was good also. I would visit again if in the area.

we went on a Saturday nite, 745 reservations. The place was packed and SOOOOO loud. There was also outdoor seating, which I thought about asking about in hopes it would be quieter, but it was too chaotic to turn around to find the hostess. We did have a FANTASTIC waitress. Despite the craziness all around, she had the most sincere and beautiful smile, she checked on us often and bc we were seated at a rather small table, brought a small side table for our bottle of wine and water so our table wouldn't be too crowded. We started with the baked oysters (meh), kale salad (the best!!) and tuna crudo (nothing special, like Publix sashimi with fancy sauce dots). We shared the thai shrimp (which was ok/we've learned to get Thai food at Thai places) and shared the Prime Ribeye (huge, with onion rings and mushrooms/ my partner likes medium and i prefer medium rare-we got the medium and he loved it). Our waitress was awesome from beginning to end, I wish I remembered her name.

Came to brunch a few weeks ago. Food was really good, enjoyed it but my only complaints were, food took forever to come out and our waitress was just ok. She would check in periodically but drinks were left empty for a bit too long for my liking. Once everything did come out it was really good. We did not have a reservation but were still seated so that is a huge plus. I will be back to enjoy meals at a later time. The inside was beautiful and I loved the ascetic. Definitely make a reservation before coming!

I recently visited On Swann for lunch shortly after they opened. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with plenty of natural light and lovely decor, creating a pleasant atmosphere. However, the chairs were placed very closely together, making it a bit uncomfortable to navigate through the restaurant. Our server, Carolyn, was good—kind, friendly, and attentive. For my meal, I had the black bean burger, which was good. We also tried the saffron arancini; my partner enjoyed it more than I did. The steak frites were a good, especially the fries, which were fantastic. Overall a good experience.

I had a high hope for this, made the reservation for our Xmas Eve dinner, a celebration for my husband, unfortunately the experience fell short of expectations. The bread pudding was the only part of the meal we truly enjoyed. We waited more than an hour for our steak and scallops, I can tell the dishes had been prepared but left sitting on the counter for too long. By the time they reached us, the quality reflected that.

My husband and I went here for lunch with our 8 month old child. We arrived at 11:30 am on a Wednesday, the hostess met us and immediately upon seeing our child said she could only seat us outside. Plenty of open tables available inside, normally not an issue but the temperature was in the 40s and unsuitable for a small child to be in for an extended period of time. Asked if inside was available and then were told I’m sorry we have nothing. No offer for a wait, nothing just we have nothing available?? When asked what the wait would be we were told sorry we just sat a bunch if people and have reservations. Never have I ever felt shamed to have my sweet baby girl with me and have the audacity to want to have a family lunch in public. She actually has been praised how quiet she is in public before. We will never again be patrons of this establishment and take our business elsewhere. Bar taco - only a block away - sat us immediately and were extremely friendly and had far better food. Do better On Swann!! Friendly goes a long way with us postpartum moms!
