I highly recommend this restaurant! Food was delicious, reasonably priced! Pizza was delicious- perfect bread texture, and spaghetti was full of flavor. Great service and family friendly!
My husband took me on a date here and we enjoyed their delicious homemade pasta and fresh oven pizza! The flavors were so delicious and you could tell everything was made from scratch. Service was great and they were very kind and sociable. Will definitely be back! It’s a perfect spot for a date night and also a great place for friends and family.
Absolutely wonderful pizza! The food is incredibly delicious — truly tastes like in Italy. Fresh ingredients, perfect dough, and rich authentic flavor in every bite. Cozy atmosphere and friendly service make the experience even better. Highly recommend!
Food was absolutely AMAZING!! The server was equally as wonderful! It was our first time in and it most definitely will not be our last.
Really lovely spot. Our food was spectacular and the service was just as excellent. Very authentic and I will be back for more. Gnocchi bolognese and linguini with clams was exquisite too.
It was nice and quiet here, there is a large mural painted on the wall that adds to the appeal of the decor. My host was very polite and attentive. The wings are amazing! Big and flavorful. The pizza was very good, very fresh, and they have a genuine wood fire oven, I had the margherita style. I would return, I like the traditional way they make their dishes.
I was a little skeptical when we arrived, odd location but if I lived in the neighborhood I’d walk there everyday for a meal! It’s so good. We had the fried dough appetizer, a salad with chicken( chicken was cooked perfect), 2 pizzas and a gnocchi with pesto. I like they they allow substitutes! We will be making it a once a week stop for dinner for sure! Ps the owner is the everything and service is great!
Great neighborhood Italian with best brick oven pizza for miles. Value wine selection presented perfectly. Very attentive staff with excellent menu and great execution.
Atmosphere was remodeled, looks way better inside than the current pictures, the outside of the restaurant did not hinder the experience. Pictures of the food are attached except for the meatballs. All was excellent!! The sauce especially, very light unlike other pizza sauces. Overall 10/10 highly recommend!! Don't let the photos fool you the pizzas are huge, could not finish all the food :)
Such a great experience! The pizza was amazing, and Paul was so friendly and attentive. We’ll definitely be back!

Had the Garlic bread with cheese and the gnocchi bolognese, it was amazing!! The bolognese was so good I couldn’t stop eating it even though I was full!!
We had a wonderful dinner at Viva Napoli! The food was absolutely delicious. My husband ordered a brick oven pizza and thought it was even better than some of the pizza we’ve had in Tampa. My son and I enjoyed the baked penne—the sauce was incredible. We also tried the fried pizza appetizer, which came with a unique and tasty combination of dipping sauces. Prices were very reasonable. Overall, a great dining experience!
Truly one of the best and most authentic pizza spots in Tampa. This is the closest thing in the area that I have found to the tastes and styles of Italy. The truffle pizza is to die for as are the Calabrian wings, and the cozy atmosphere creates a lovely space to enjoy delicious food and time with friends. The wine list is diverse and reasonably priced, and don’t forget dessert. One of my favorite spots!
This restaurant is a true hidden gem. Everything was wonderful. The food was authentic. Most definitely the BEST Tiramisu I have ever had, bar none. My husband and I were also pleasantly surprised by the quiet atmosphere (no yelling, no loud TVs). Smooth jazz music playing. If you want excellent food and exceptional service…and a quiet “date night”, this is definitely worth a try. I think you’ll return over and over. I know we will.
We had the Bolognese, Shrimp Diavola, and their five cheese brick-oven pizza — everything was outstanding! The pasta was rich and flavorful, the shrimp had the perfect kick of spice, and the pizzas were cooked to perfection with that classic wood-fired flavor. We ended with the tiramisu, which was light, and absolutely delicious. Excellent food, warm service, and a true taste of Italy. Highly recommend Viva Napoli! 🇮🇹🍝🍕
We had an amazing meal at Viva Napoli. The food and service were absolutely amazing. We can’t get over how delicious the gnocchi and ravioli are. The bread (which is the same dough as the pizza) was so soft and fluffy that we’ll be back soon for a round of pizzas.

We had a lovely meal! Excellent food, cozy setting and friendly, attentive service. The owner was very kind and welcoming to our son who devoured his plate of spaghetti and meatballs! The bombalino gelato was a stand out dessert.

A True Hidden Gem in South Tampa! This restaurant is an absolute must-visit! From the moment you walk in, the intimate atmosphere sets the perfect tone for a fantastic dining experience. The drinks are expertly crafted, the food is beyond delicious, and the desserts are the perfect sweet ending to the meal. The homemade pasta is a standout—fresh, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Every dish is clearly made with care and high-quality ingredients. On top of that, the service is warm and welcoming, making you feel right at home. Truly a hidden gem of South Tampa!! Highly recommend!

We enjoyed all of our meal and would go again if in the area. For those who live nearby should become regulars! We were there on a Saturday night of Labor Day weekend. It was not busy at all. The food is quite good and they just probably need better advertising and word of mouth. I would like to know more about the chef because the entrees were quite tasty. The pizza was good. We had a margarita pizza, a tortufo pizza, mussels, chicken marsala, chicken piccata, and rigatoni with sausage and pistachio cream sauce. All very good. And a misto salad for veggies.
Surprised with this hidden gem. The food was good. The only recommendation is to work on the pizza techniques. The crust edge should be airy with air pockets for a litte crunch and less like a bread stick. I would return again when I am back in town.

Pretty good food. Terrible location. The chicken Parm was mostly good but had quite a bit of gristle. My wife got a pizza that was good, although one side of it was burnt...like solid black. The part that wasn't burned had a decent chew on the crust and delicious toppings. We didn't feel safe here at all. And the parking lot is in disarray. The stones around the sign were all over the place. This spot has potential, but unless they change substantially, we won't be back. The toilet in the bathroom was also disgusting.

EDIT/SUMMARY: The pizza is flavorful. The crust needs work. This is more of a pizza joint than anything else. Look, I understand you are people trying to do business as a restaurant, an Italian restaurant at that, which there is a lot of competition around you in the Tampa area, but unless you step it up in all areas - atmosphere, lighting, food, service - your customer base will not grow and you’ll stay in last place. Pizza crust should not be undercooked and soggy. Meatballs should be homemade (I highly question you stating they are homemade), service shouldn’t be rushed, lights shouldn’t be blazing bright, you should have some classic Italian music lightly playing instead of silence and the walls echoing with customer conversations, the olive oil should be PREMIUM and not Publix brand that has gone rancid, you should have balsamic to go with the olive oil and fresh minced garlic; there is just so many things that can improve and I wish bad on nobody, but competition can either grow you or devour you and right now the competition around you is much more satisfying to go to.

Very disappointing visit, wanted to try this new rest. With wife and two grown kids to see if we had a go to rest. So close to home. We all favor good authentic italian food when able to dine out. Sorry to say but Casa Stefano in ybor blows Viva Napoli away. Began by wanting to charge extra for Bread at the beginning of meal, then portions were smaller for price. For a Friday 6:30 res. There was 1 other table with 2 ppl. Present. NOT GOOD. I’m thinking that rest. Won’t stay open, we’ll see but I doubt it. GOOD LUCK OWNERS, you’ll need it
