We stopped for for cocktails after a birthday dinner. The vibe was amazing, it was cozy and good for conversing with my group. The drinks were amazing! Definitely cannot wait to go back and will bring more friends with me. Great place to bring your “out of town” visitors to enjoy a nice night out. PS - get the cookies!!

Love this place! What a great find! Grant was excellent and very very knowledgeable on food and drinks. Just happened on 1922 from a Google search and knew we had to try it. Was fortunate to go on steak night, they were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The green beans and potatoes were delicious. The laid-back atmosphere was great, and loved the music, the friendless, and hospitality! I am looking forward to becoming a regular, trying the rest of the food and trying the specialty drinks.

1922 Libation is an absolute gem! Tucked inside what was once the original high school building, this cozy and elegant bar completely transforms the moment you step inside. The ambiance is sophisticated yet inviting perfect for a romantic date night or a special evening out. What really sets this place apart is the staff. The mixologists are top-notch, taking the time to ask thoughtful questions that help craft a truly personalized cocktail experience. You can tell they genuinely care about delivering something exceptional. If you're looking for a unique spot with character, class, and cocktails that go beyond the ordinary, 1922 Libation is it. Highly recommended!

We had a great time at 1922. The people were so great and the food and drinks were on point. Don't forget to ask about the speakeasy when you are there. Awesome cocktails await!

1922 is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had. The wine list is impeccable, the cocktails are crafted with real care, and every dish was layered, memorable, and beautifully presented. On top of that, the space itself is stunning—intimate, lively, and effortlessly cool. It’s rare to find a place that nails every detail like this. I came for dinner and ended up staying for hours—glass after glass of incredible wine, cocktails I’m still thinking about, and food that turned the evening into something special. Having lived in New York, London, and Tokyo, I’ve experienced some of the best hospitality and dining in the world—and this is the closest I’ve felt to that same magic. A perfect night. I’ll be back again and again.

Fun cocktail bar with air of exclusivity. We loved their blackberry bourbon lemonade and fleur de violet. Looking forward to exploring their second room. We walked to this place after dinner at ploughman's. Definitely worth visiting along with the other businesses in old Taylor high. They have booth, table, and bar seating. They share a large free parking lot.

It’s a great concept! The venue is pretty warm, great choices of drinks and food. The owner treats you amazing and explains everything on the menu. We ordered the fig old fashioned and the lobo loco mezcal drink. They were both amazing specially the the old fashioned, it had such an amazing Smokey flavor. I can’t wait to try more of the drinks and the food!!

We visited 1922 Libations & Bites today for the first time and were really impressed! I ordered the Fleur de Violet and my husband had the Rye Fashion—both cocktails were beautifully crafted and full of flavor. The atmosphere is stylish yet comfortable, and the attention to detail really stands out. One of the highlights is their hidden speakeasy tucked behind a bookcase, which opens in the evenings—such a fun and unique touch that makes the space feel special.

What a HIDDEN GEM! Owner is there, present and you can absolutely tell loves his restaurant and wants you to as well. Talked and learned about him and his journey. The place is quite small and quaint, but wait there's a twist! A "hidden speak-easy" what a great touch! Menu fresh, and defines his wanting to be current and seasonal. Home run! Oh, and good cocktails to boot. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I really hope this place makes it, what a treat to have this caliber of amazing atmosphere, food, and service in a small town. I am SPOILED living in Taylor, TX.

This place is a must stop place in Taylor. Located in the Old Taylor high a converted school that houses shops and bars and even an arcade. But this place takes the cake! The drinks are specialty crafted with intention and I have never had drinks like this outside a big city. The owners are alcohol connoisseurs and know their stuff. They just updated their food menu as well and I’m never disappointed in anything I order, although my favorite is the BLT with the sous vide egg. Weekends check out their speakeasy behind the bookshelf. Such a great atmosphere and swanky lounge. I can’t say enough about this place

We drive nearly an hour to come here every couple of months. That should tell you all you need to know. I'd give 6 stars if I could. Drinks are delicious, classic, and unique. Do not miss the smoked old fashioned. Food is equally amazing. Great sharing options and mains. Portions are just right, not huge. Just go in knowing that you will not get your food quickly; it just isn't that kind of place (kitchen is tiny, give em a break). Don't show up starving and you'll be fine. I promise the food is worth any wait. The owner has been there every single time I visit. Dude works so hard. Truly passionate about what he does, and his enthusiasm for serving great stuff is clear in every conversation as he chats with everyone who comes in. This is not a stuffy or pretentious place, come as you are and have an amazing time. Lots of regulars come back again and again, just like we do. Looking forward to our next visit!

A hidden gem in Taylor. We always have a great time. It’s also a plus that it is kid-friendly. Since it is located in a school with an arcade and ice cream shop, I would definitely expect kids to be there. We have been in the speakeasy (which isn’t kid friendly) but is AMAZING. Definitely something that Taylor needed. The speakeasy side is very intimate, soft playing music, dim lights…. Something you would find in Austin.

What an incredible addition to Old Taylor High. Grant is such an amazing owner and bartender extraordinaire. All the drinks are beautifully curated and made to perfection. The atmosphere is cozy and warm with great service. Go give them a try, you won't regret it! Further update: the food specials are always amazing as well. We came in NYE and had quail and mussels. The sauce combinations and curation of the food was wonderful and added to the experience. This is a can't miss place.

We had a rather odd experience. The place itself is charming. The speakeasy is very cool. We were excited to try the margarita as we heard they were a finalist in best margarita in Austin. Hands down best margarita I have ever had. I had the spicy pineapple margarita, my friends each had a house margarita and blood orange habanero margarita. The owner was very nice and you can definitely tell he takes pride in creating the drinks and food. As everything we ate was Devine. We had Caprese salad, pretzel and goat cheese, steak sliders and baseball sirloin skewer. The evening took a turn when a woman came in with her children. The toddler was screeching uncontrollably and the other kids were running up and down the hall screaming. We soon realized it was the owners family. I’m guessing Wednesdays are slow because a group of friends and their children arrived. It got even louder with kids. We quickly closed our tabs along with other patrons as it felt like we overstayed our welcome. Our table left a note saying how disappointed we were with how things ended. When we reached our cars and started to pull out the owners wife busted out of the school doors waving the note, hollering at us and chased the cars down screaming. I’m still in shock. We definitely won’t be back and have warned our friends.
