A typical Valtellina restaurant, perhaps the best in Teglio. Beautiful and welcoming decor. Excellent appetizers with a mixed platter and sciatt, first courses with pizzicheri, pappardelle with venison ragù and tagliolini with mushrooms, and second courses of polenta with mushrooms and/or venison stew. Generous and delicious portions. Everything is cooked to perfection. (I recommend booking by phone as there isn't a lot of seating.) The price is more than reasonable for the service they provide. I will definitely be back.

Typical Teglio restaurant recommended by locals. A charming, traditional mountain restaurant. The staff is helpful and welcoming. Menus range from €30 to €40. We chose the Valtellina menu for €30, which included: appetizer, pizzoccheri, and dessert, plus water, coffee, and cover charge. A more than fair price, especially considering the food was truly delicious. The pizzoccheri are, of course, the signature dish and are well worth it. Be careful, though, as the portions are quite generous. If you have any leftovers, you can take them home. We'll definitely be back.

Delicious pizzoccheri and sciatt!! We read the rave reviews before coming and we were not disappointed with our experience. We will definitely come back. We shared the Valtellinese menu and the polenta with brasato and mushrooms and it was more than enough food for 2 people.

This restaurant deserves all 5 stars. The top stars aren't awarded because the restaurant is prestigious or expensive. The top stars are earned if the culinary experience is worth it, and that's the case. The restaurant is located in Teglio's central square. It has a small outdoor terrace, which I think is only accessible during the summer, and about twenty seats inside in an L-shaped room. The ambiance is mountain-like, with a large stone wall on one side, but it retains a certain elegance overall. You're greeted warmly. The service is fast. The highlight is the food. You can choose from a set menu, choosing from four options (all based on local ingredients), or à la carte. Sciat, cured meats, pizzoccheri. All delicious. To finish, we had a tiramisu. Good. The price is competitive, but the portions are generous. There are no surprises here. See photo of the receipt. 2 different shared appetizers, 2 first courses (pizzoccheri), 1 water, 1/4 wine, 1 tiramisu, 2 coffees, total €56. I think the only places that are cheaper are fast food restaurants, or don't eat at all. Parking might be a bit difficult during peak season because, being in the central square, there aren't many places to sit. You might need to walk a bit... Recommended, definitely worth a try. Reservations are required to avoid wasting time, as there aren't many seats. Excellent restaurant in Teglio, the home of pizzoccheri, a member of the Pizzocchero Academy, synonymous with quality and the use of original, top-quality ingredients. The pizzoccheri are undoubtedly among the best I've ever eaten, tasty and well-seasoned... In short, highly recommended! A Quadrio (Nebbiolo and Merlot) and a box of Sciatt go perfectly with them! Highly recommended.

Continuing my quest to sample the best pizzoccheri and sciat in Valtellina, today I stopped by La Galeda. The pizzoccheri are truly delicious, and the sciat is delicious. Generous portions and polite staff, along with a very reasonable price, make you want to return. The location is a shame; it's a bit dated but very well-maintained. From the outside, it almost looks like a normal bar overlooking the square. If you're passing through, this is a must-stop.

Nice atmosphere, friendly staff, but service was a bit lacking during our dinner. The food was overrated. We expected a lot from the reviews, but the pizzoccheri were terribly oily, with the bottom of the plate covered in oil, huge pieces of burnt rounds of sage, and the pizzoccheri all mushy and stuck together like a cake. I don't know if this is the typical recipe, but I didn't particularly like it. The dessert cake was very dry, and I didn't particularly enjoy that either. Generous portions.

We called to reserve a table for two. When we arrived, we were seated at a corner table facing the wall, with shelves full of plates and other items to the side. When we asked for a different table (it was available right next door), we were told it was reserved. The question was... but we had also reserved, right? What's the difference? Also, a note about the very unwelcoming and at times indifferent staff. The food was truly excellent, but we won't be returning, alas.

We booked for five and were greeted without even a smile. After two bottles of wine and a few appetizers to share, the pizzoccheri arrived at 1:34 PM. Surprisingly, at 1:48 PM, the waitress showed up at our table, rudely demanding we vacate the table. We were told we would have to leave at 1:45 PM. After arguing at the counter about the appropriate procedures, the waitress informed us that some tables, evidently those reserved for tourists, have two sittings, while friends and locals can sit at their tables without eating. The food was truly delicious, and the service was beyond compare!

I can't complain about the food, but the service was terrible. We were a group, and when we made our reservation, we weren't told there was a double seating. While we were eating, we were told we'd have to leave within 10 minutes. When we asked why, considering that several tables had finished, we were told they were regulars... a real shame.
