Delicious breakfast burritos and great service! We’re always greeted when we come in :)
Great food and atmosphere. I've been eating here for years and it's always good. One of my favorites.
I absolutely love this place. Their breakfast burritos are my favorite and the same wonderful people have been running it for years. We come every sunday and they know my family and just make the whole experience really great!
This place exceeded my expectations. The meat had a little more gristle than I like, but the flavor was amazing. Definitely coming out of my way for a round 2 and many more to come.
Always delicious! Owner is very pleasant and goes out of his way to make you feel like family. Highly recommend for any meal of the day!
Excellent Gordita! We're previewing the Temecula/Murrieta area to move to and stopped here for a quick bite. It wasn't as quick as my husband wanted, but once we got our hands on it, we could see why! Gooood food!
Had a taco salad and it was really good. Was less than 10$ u can definitely split this, big portion of meat.
Hands down the best potato and egg breakfast burrito have yet to find a breakfast burrito that's this good, make sure you ask for hot sauce and the burrito.

Just listening to an old PHIL HENDRIE Podcast on KFI 640 from YEARS ago and there was an advert for THE GREEN BURRITO that was promoting a EVERYTHING BURRITO for ONLY $2.49! I was thinking "damn" that is a deal! Lol. I am guessing they are a little more expensive now hey? I live in Jacksonville, Florida...but if I get out your way...
I absolutely love this place. I work nearby so I visit The Great Burrito 3-4 days a week for lunch. I’ve been following the ketogenic diet for awhile so I always order the same taco salad with ground beef, no beans and no shell. The staff is super friendly and even start getting my order ready right when they see me enter. The salad is so good. I love their ground beef and wish I could replicate it at home. Fantastic place to eat and super kind staff...this place will continue to be my go to lunch spot.
Pleasantly surprised. We've lived in the area for decades and finally decided to try The Great Burrito. I had the vegetable burrito with chicken and my son had the #6 plate. He ate EVERYTHIBG. The plate was beautiful. My burrito was delicious. Though I might add that if you don't like onions...better mention it to them because there were plenty. Good thing I LOVE onions! I recommend this place. It even has a salsa bar with three types of salsas and home pickled carrots!
My wife and I always go to the great burrito for breakfast. Employees are great. They treat customers with respect and they are always helpful. The food is great. We have not tried everything on the menu because we usually get breakfast burritos and coffee. All the food looks great. We have to try everything else. Thank you for giving great service.
Still the best veggie burrito in town, with actual veggies not just pico and lettuce ! Also the green salsa is bomb on the breakfast burritos, still delicious as ever! Been coming here for years and will continue to support the legacy the owner recently left behind, may he rest in peace. My condolences to the family, thank you for keeping his dream alive- your hard work does not go unnoticed.

Food is solid for the price. The workers are friendly and service is decently quick. A good option for Mexican food in the in area. I would recommend. Would be good if they had some healthy options though.
I'm giving it a 4 only because CA Mexican restaurants don't serve real green chile. Otherwise this a very good place to eat. With excellent customer service. Large portions.
Have gone for many years, food at this location has always been good. I enjoy the mini chicken super nachos the best!
Ordered Carneasada burrito with no Rice, no Beans, no potato, I asked that. Yeah, I 'm a meatlover). It seemed like it was like a special order. So.., as in the picture, it's not big, and after it, i was still hungry for $14 :( Atmosphere, staff, and everything pretty cut and cool! Good luck and ✌️

Note - they have reopened after being closed for a couple of months. They have added a salsa bar which is amazing - anyplace with a salsa bar makes me more likely to frequent it. As of now, there is no online ordering. Maybe they will bring that back soon? Edited to add: They have changed their online menu back to how it was. The prices have gone up, but that's how it is these days. I like to order from here online so that it's ready when I arrive (if I don't, I have had to wait a long time for my food). They have changed their online menu so that I am not able to order the items I used to. So I have not been back. Please bring back the 10oz menu and allow more than one modification on items. I like to add peppers/onions to the quesadilla and minus sour cream and now I have to choose between one or the other.
We've been going to the Old Green Burrito now names The Great Burritos since 1997. Their breakfast Burritos are still really good. It was our kids favorite place during their TVHS high school years. They could buy a breakfast burrito for like 2 bucks back then. They still make very good breakfast Burritos 🌯 and is a great option vs Albertos, Del taco, or Jilbertos. Does anyone remember the Green Burrito challenge back in the day?
If you miss the classic "The Green Burrito" restaurants of yesteryear (prior to the Carl's Jr. buyout), then this is the place for you. This appears to be one of the original Green Burritos, that somehow survived the merger of the corporate restaurants. The decor is the same, the menu is very similar, even the logo is similar. The food was very good but a little pricey. The restaurant was clean and the service was good.
Not authentic food for sure but staff is very nice, i wish they made some changes to their menu,

This place used to be the bomb now the quality and the portions are considerably smaller for the price. Albertos will give you twice the amount of food for cheaper.
All meat from beef to chicken was over cooked, chicken taco was inedible. For $10-12 dollars per plate for fast food, we can go to a real Mexican restaurant and sit down. This is a knockoff "Green Burrito" and it needs major attention to detail on food quality, cook time, and taste. Throwing cheese and enchilada sauce on everything does not make it good food.
The asada choice was very thin meat but was cooked well. The asada plate I got was just as pictured on their wall coming with a grilled jalapeño, grilled green onions, refried beans, rice, pico de gallo salsa, guacamole and a bunch of tortillas. All the food items were pleasant from beginning to end. All the salsas are great. However, the nearly $15 price tag for this meal is a sure disappointment indeed. What I would improve is their bathroom layout it looks unkept. The meat used is the thinnest meat that I know of so do not use this anymore. The teenager cashier took my receipt and did not bother handing it to me. Dont do that. Also cashier should repeat the order to avoid issues later. Also there was no music or TVs playing. Its dead silent from beginning to end. All I heard was the teenager fumbling with some Spanish words with a customer. Sadly I later overheard an older couple asking for pico de gallo to go with their breakfast burritos and the teen boy told them it will be an additional 80¢. So the lady told her old man to go back to their car and get some coins. I could not believe how awkward that went. The image of the restaurant was this kid. I mean I could have thought he was 14 years old.
I know I've been away for several years and I've gained some age so my memory me not be what it was 12 years ago, but since when did Machaca turn into grisly ground beef. I gave it two stars because the burrito was quite large, well over a pound, but I wanted Machaca, you know, the slow cooked shredded beef with peppers, onions and tomatoes, not plain bland grisly ground beef. Not what my palate was in search of.
I paid $10 for a carne asada burrito and 85% of it was beans and rice, 5% tortilla and 5% meat. They're Not Mexican food maybe tex-mex at best. Never again I should have drove the extra 5 minutes to veros, albertos, jilberto...
Got a breakfast burrito & a carne asada burrito, was $15 for both. The breakfast burrito was extremely disappointing. Tortilla barely cooked, 90% beans, with a small amount of eggs in the middle. No meat, no potato, maybe some cheese but I couldn't tell because there were so many beans.
Did not get what I ordered and the food wasn't as it seemed in the pics. Also food was warmish more coldish. But besides ago that the enchiladas were alright! 2 stars it is...
Ordered a breakfast burrito that was supposed to be bacon and egg, and they made something which was totally NOT bacon, but something else. Didn't taste all that great either. Definitely NOT a breakfast burrito.
Tonight's beans looked amd taste like can beans. The lady did not have good customer service. Only gave it a 2 star for the Horchata.
They don't tell you that there is an extra charge to use a card, which I think is immoral. Decent food, but not the best bang for the buck. Might just want to stick to Chiptole.
Went for lunch with the guys. They ordered tortas. I ordered a carnitas burrito. I was overcharged. $12.30 for a burrito and medium soda. The guys didn't like the tortas. They came with french fries that were cold. My burrito didn't have much meat. Filled with beans and rice. The salsa was bad. Provably not go back.

Closed for an awful long time to not even bother to post it on their website nor update their current hours. Come on guys 😂 is this the Great Burrito? Or Never Open Burrito 😂🤣 Got there 40 min after their own website says they’re open and they’re closed. This isn’t the first review they’ve gotten from someone talking about their incorrect hours soooo either management doesn’t even care to try and update their website or their employees just straight up don’t want to work. Either way, not a great message to send to customers that you care about your own business 🤷🏽♀️
Look. Ive never really had bad experiences at mexican restaurants but this place was bad or i caught them with their pants down. I ordered a California burrito to-go, and inside the burrito instead of of carne asada it was just ground beef, fries, and pico de gallo. Are you kidding me? You could at least put the real thing in there. I also asked for a medium horchata drink and i got some out of their fountain. What did i get? Horchata flavored water. Get it together guys. I want you guys to succeed but you have to give the paying customer some good food at least!

the food was flavorless, beans from that tasted from a can in a breakfast burrito? And none of the Horchata is fresh it comes from a soda looking machine.
It was horrible. Nothing but deep fried garbage. Everything tasted like is was our of a can or frozen. Nothing "Great" about it. Change that name.9
We bought two carne asada burritos( no beans) Seems to be that We ordered a rice burritos with carne. They were to poor of beef and a lot, but I mean a lot of rice. The price, exactly the same as a regular carne asada burrito, anywhere. We also ordered shrimp tacos, two orders. A lot of col, 5 maruchan shrimp per taco and the same price that other regular taco. We when there for the first time and we won’t be there anymore. Service people great, but my food expectations very bad. Sorry...... Please charge what you offer but then, also give to the customers what we are paying for. Thanks
It was our first time going there. We ordered 4 dishes and we were very disappointed. The food was not worth the price. Portions were extra small and lacked flavor.
This place is currently not open. The hours say that it's open at 6am until 9pm and the website says they are open. I got here and it was locked up and closed. If you are open- please update your hours. It makes me. never want to return to a place when I go out of my way to go to a place and they are closed.
This place SUCKS. Ordered a carne asada burrito. The carne asada had been literally sprinkled lightly into the burrito like it had been blended. So much so that I could not even taste the carne asada . The burrito was also half the size of a normal burrito. It was basically a snack instead of a meal. No way will I return. AVOID THIS PLACE. TOTAL RIP OFF!!!
This placed went out of business this year
Portion was small, expensive and the meat not tender or juicy. At least she was polite when she bent me over. Will never be back.
Ordered 2 carneasada burrito. 90% of the burritos were full of beans. Refusing to give money back. Finally agreed to give money back on 1 burrito. Dont waste your time or money on this place.
CLOSED! Save yourself a visit this place is closed. Looks like another place is opening soon though, for now don't come.

Got the al pastor burrito with Chile verde sauce inside. The burrito was a little bit greasy. First bite was good. Till the next one and after that. The burrito ended up not good and I would not recommend getting the al pastor burrito. I cant say anything else. Just stay away from the al pastor not good quality meat.
Save your money. Worst mexican food in temecula. Ordered chili Verde burrito. Lots of beans and cheese maybe 10% pork, no green chili. Also ordered taco plate. Small, Cold, stale taco shells. Beef had no flavor. $10 for a burrito $11 for tacos They should be ashamed serving that quality.
I've had a better torta at del taco. Worst Mexican food I've ever had. Torta was a good amount of lettuce some tomatoes, a chili and a few little pieces of meat. Gf had a number 5, everything tasted like cheese with 0 flavor, kid got a sausage breakfast burrito even asked no salsa in it but it was 80% Pico other kids got Carne fries which were a little plate. They had no salsa bar and charged for there wasted down salsa Verde which was more like jalapino water, I've had better Mexican food in Nebraska which is sad. The joke of the night was how bad it was. Seriousally the torta at del taco is better.
They NEVER open on time!!! Do not show up expecting to get food at the stated time because you’ll be disappointed for sure. Good food good service overall but not opening on time is a drag.
