Really good sushi. The rolls aren't too heavy on the rice, which is actually perfectly prepared and delicous. They are mostly fish, which is really fresh tasting. Nigiri is also fantastic. Really loved it.
Had a big order that I was late picking up, but they had it all ready for me and the man at the door helped me to the car with the bags. Very friendly people that work there, and the food was AMAZING. My picky kid loved everything! You can tell it was fresh fish and freshly made sushi and appetizers. No pictures, but we got a ton off the menu so I can say everything was very good and they have GOOD prices too! Big pieces of sashimi as well
We went on Christmas day. Drove around to several restaurants that claimed to be open online, but were not, when we got there. Edo Japan saved the day when they were actually open, as stated online. They had some many options to choose from. Everything sounded so good. I stuck with what I knew, which was the vegetable fried rice and vegetable lo mein. My husband ordered spicy chicken and vegetables and sushi. His sushi came out after his meal. He was hoping to have it before. Everything was fantastic. My husband's meal came with soup and salad. Both were excellent. My only complaint was with my husband's sushi coming out after his meal, and on the menu, several sushi wraps came with spicy mayo sauce. My husband ordered the sushi that said spice sauce, not mayo. When the sushi came, it had spicy mayo on it. The waitress said spicy sauce is spicy mayo. It should have said spicy mayo and not sauce. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this restaurant. They give you a ton of food for the price.
This was our first time going here. I was surprised to find out they had more locations around Houston. There is a lot to choose from even the drink menu is long and varied. The appetizer selection is full of great options of fried and sushi options. We decided to get the appetizer sampler that had the fried options with shrimp tempura 🍤 crab Rangoons, fried spring rolls, and fried tofu. It came with two sauces, one sweet and one savory. Everything on the plate was delicious, especially after finding that right combination of sweet or savory. I got the lunch special sushi 🍣 that came with three different sushi options and a soup or salad. I went with the soup, and for sushi, I got the spicy tuna roll, eel and avocado 🥑, and the salmon roll. Sherry Ann went with the Philly roll. It was a lot of food, maybe too much food. I enjoyed the eel and the salmon. The tuna was ok, but the others were far better. Our server Bagus was great checking on us answering all our questions and making sure we had a great experience. This was great service, great food, and the restaurant itself was nicely decorated and clean, and they even have a bar if thats your style. I would definitely recommend this place, and I'm already looking forward to coming back.
It is our first time to order in this restaurant via online on uber eats, and we are surprised their food is really great. cost is worth the food. not too expensive, not too cheap it is just right. we ordered bunch, texas roll, maki, takoyaki, tempura and calamari - all are good tasting and good packaging. We definitely order more oftenly. Arigato Edo Japan! hope you can add fish and squid fillet on your menu..
Very nice clean place. The food tasted fresh with good flavor. I had a side salad with Edo's house dressing, Creamy ragoon, and a spicy crunch roll (I think). It was not very spicy, probably as much as spicy mayo is spicy. Our server was friendly and courteous. We were served edamame like you would be served chips and salsa at a Mexican food restaurant. Everything look new and up to date. The bathroom mirror even had a digital clock with thermometer inside it. Really great place for sushi and hibachi.
Ok so normally I don't like seafood but their eel sushi was so good! All their food was very delicious. Plus to be honest the price is pretty good. The desert came out on a lovely plate decorated nicely I loved it. Plus the waiters were amazing. They knew when to refill drinks and always checked up on us. Definitely my #1 Japanese restaurant.
Amazing... Everything is just awesome (Writing the review as its being eaten) Appetizer & Main Course Edamme + Akuma Roll + Steak & Lobster Hibachi + Miso & Mushroom soup Desert: Tortar & Nada Edamme was tasty The Miso suprised the heck out of me The Mushroom had a great mild spice The lobster was perfect I always do medium rare steak and this was one of my favorites Deserts were pretty awesome Fried Chocklate Cake & Fried Cheese Cake with an Icecream Sunday The staff was frendly and made sure to check on us. Definitly recommending this place
Service was slow, they weren't very busy, but the server seemed uninterested in serving us, not coming back to check on us. Otherwise, the food was good, the serving sizes were good relative to the price, and it was just like you'd expect it.
I had lunch here a couple times and their prices are pretty good. I took my food to go. I got both salmon and shrimp hibachi with a side salad, 4 rolls total: spicy salmon, spicy tuna and yellowtail. I enjoyed the large cut veggies in the rice that were cooed enough for a nice crunch, the salmon was pretty good(my fave fish!), so I had to see if they would deliever. It was pretty good to my surprise. There was eel sauce in the dish which went well with it. The shrimp was good but the rice didn't come with sauce, so it was drier. I added soy sauce and it was fine. The sushi was ok, I don't like how the spicy looks like minced fish w/red crunchies in it though, the spicy tuna isn't red like salmon so I'm confused what's in the 2 that make each spicy. The salad was as usual but their soy sauce salad dressing is terrible. It's chunky and it separates and not meant to go on salad. Gross. I'd go again and get soup and reg. rolls.
Honestly didn't know what to expect coming into this establishment. I'm from NY, and sushi 🍣 is a huge deal for some, if your looking to just have a nice time and enjoy some good food, this is definitely a nice place. The waiters were nice, did seem to be in a hurry to get other things done, but still nice and attentive. Definitely recommend for anyone craving hibachi or sushi items. Definitely going back to try out the rest of the menu.
Let me start with what was good. The crab rangoon were great. Service was good as well. However, this sushi place is not for me. I struggled to find a special roll that wasn't tempura or cooked. I prefer raw sushi. And even after I asked if the fuqua roll was cooked and was informed it was raw, I was served a deep fried roll with cooked fish inside. They took it off my ticket. The samurai roll was my other pick and it was just too much cream cheese and tempura. The shu mai were also only ok.
I was hesitant after seeing reviews over service. My waitress was amazing! Christ's made sure I had everything I needed. The food was less than impressive. The presentation looked like a plate of nachos and the wasabi sauce was a concerning color. Restaurant has a lot of potential but cutting corners. Y'all can do better. Stay authentic!!
Most of the food had fantastic flavor except the sour steak. I took my meal to go and when I got home a short 7-minute drive and started with the fried rice and it was great then I started on the steak but was so sour and bad I threw it away. That really sucked!
The server there is so disrespectful and lacks customer service skills. He kept rushing my whole table to pay when we’re still there wanting to enjoy ourselves and take our time. It was not busy. It was not packed, there was no reason for his bad behavior and to tell one of my church members to tell him everything they were wanting at one time instead of having him back and forth is so rude & ugly I will NEVER go back or spend another dime in that place. Then they automatically charge you a tip when they come out with your total & if they hadn’t I would’ve gave him $0. He didn’t deserve the tip he added onto my total & then still trying to have me sign a receipt to give him more towards a tip is ridiculous. He made everyone so uncomfortable that I ended up having to finish my food elsewhere because I did not want to be there anymore. Never again. Work on your customer service skills.
