The tamales and Papusas are spot on! Absolutely Delicious! The ordering process was quick and easy! The staff were friendly and polite! The restaurant was clean and busy! We are definitely going back in the near future.

I absolutely ADORE La Carreta and their wonderful owner & staff members. I have been a loyal customer for about 10 years now. They have hands down the most delicious Salvadorean food, and in my opinion the best Latin food you can get in Thousand Oaks and surrounding areas. The pupusas Revueltas are my favorite, they have pork, beans and cheese deep fried in a perfect hand mashed thick corn tortilla. The curtido (pickled cabbage) and freshly made habanero salsas are absolutely delicious and a perfect balance to the warm pupusa. All of the staff and wonderful ladies that work here are so friendly and make every customer feel special and important. Most importantly, their prices are extremely reasonable for some of the best fresh and homemade food you can get. If you like delicious bold flavors you will love this place!!! They have something for everyone, not to mention the absolutely gorgeous artwork of some wonderful parts unique to El Salvador and beautiful music playing. We had helpful, friendly service. The sampler platter and barbecue chicken soup were all excellent. We liked the jalapeno and revuelta papusas. Food here is delicious. I always get plantains and a passion fruit drink for something sweet.

Authentic and incredibly tasty food!! You can tell it's handmade and they put a lot of love into it. The employees were so warm and welcoming to me, service was perfect. This restaurant is so charming and delicious and reasonably priced. You can tell they care about people by the way they've priced the kids menu. These small businesses are gems in our community.

Food is authentic Salvadoran and so delicious I come from Oxnard to this location because they have the best pupusas , the cortido is bomb and the spicy salsa 🔥 The pupusas are pricey I ordered 10 pupsas it was 45$ + 😏crazy but i was craving some delicious Salvadoran food it's far from my location but it never disappoints its just those prices 😬 it would be nice if they can offer deals like Mondays and Fridays 2$ pupusas deal or something that would be awesome! The customer service inside is not the best Ive dined in before made me wait 45 mins before they came and assisted me and 1 hour and 30 minutes before they served me my food . So now I just call ahead and order ahead of time and just do take out. But shout-out to the ladies in the back in the kitchen 💯👏🏻👏🏻thank you !!

Food is really good , service is good fast and friendly.. the only thing o see is that I always wait about 30 minutes to have my food ready and deliver to the table and if is busy it might take longer. Otherwise is very nice,clean and tasty.

Food was flavorful and tasty. Very authentic and prices were great. Will definitely be heading back to try other varieties of food.

I have been a customer for the past 15 years, but lately, the customer service has significantly declined. The staff has been rude and unprofessional. In particular, the short lady at the front was very rude when I politely informed her that my order was incorrect, she told me that next time I should order properly! On top of that, she appeared to be very sick—coughing into her hand and then touching various surfaces, including food, without washing her hands or using sanitizer. This is extremely concerning and unacceptable, especially in a food service environment.

great food, ok service noisy atmosphere, and why cant you bring food inside and eat it while you order food from here? i saw a family of 4 with kids walk in excited to eat but was soon met with a "no outside food" shout from an angry lady who was working the register. the family did say they wanted to order food as well But the lady insisted they take it out. i thought it was odd, why lose clients over this?

Dont get me wrong the food is real good , customer service is not it .. they definitely have preference on serving people and don’t go in order. If that’s not the case they need more employees because it does take a while to get food! even if you order take out

I called to place and order, when I went to pick it up, I was hungry so I told the lady I’ll eat here, she said your not allow to stay and seat because your order over the phone , your order is for to go, I was surprise how she answer me, so I told her I don’t want the food and I’m going to eat somewhere else where I’m allow to seat
