The atmosphere is pleasant, the food is delicious, and it's a perfect place for snacks, a leisurely lunch, or dinner. We especially want to highlight the work of Carlos, the owner, who clearly puts love and dedication into every detail of the restaurant. We also want to give a special mention to Tatiana, our trusted waitress, who always provides excellent service: attentive, friendly, professional, and with a constant smile.
The experience was fabulous. The food was top-notch, everything delicious and beautifully presented. The service was impeccable, especially from the owner, Carlos, who is always incredibly attentive and treats people wonderfully. It's clear he's a true professional, as is the entire team. Food, service, and above all, cleanliness: everything was perfect. Without a doubt, a highly recommended place.
Everything was excellent, and the service went out of its way to help us, even though the place was packed. If I had to find a fault, the desserts were good, but not outstanding... the savory dishes were much better.
This place is amazing. I loved it. Everything on the menu was great, but the braised pork cheek was especially delicious. And for dessert, I highly recommend the cheesecake with brownie. It's insanely good. Incredible. Friendly service, great atmosphere, and good value for the price. Highly recommended.
Recommended! Recommended! Absolutely recommended! Great food. We ordered artichokes, pork rinds, and cuchifrito, and for dessert, cheesecake with brownie. For my taste (personal opinion), the artichokes and pork rinds completely overpowered the cuchifrito. The team was totally coordinated, very attentive, and very polite. So, all in all, a 10. I hope we can come back.
This morning we changed our routine a bit and instead of going to Cuchifrito on Calle París, we went to the one on Av. Irlanda. And as always, we started by nibbling on some tapas from the bar (impossible to resist, it's such a vice!). For our main courses, we ordered two absolute successes: A suckling pig salad with apple, fresh, juicy, and with that sweet-salty contrast that's addictive. And breaded mushrooms with two sauces, one creamy and the other with a touch of zest that we loved. But the best came with the desserts… The French toast with vanilla ice cream: creamy, with that hint of cinnamon, and the ice cream… one of the best we've ever tried, intense and of incredible quality. The cheesecake… okay, it's not your typical baked cheesecake, but it's sooooo delicious and creamy, the kind you want to have spoonful after spoonful of. Conclusion: Cuchifrito never fails, whether in Paris or Ireland ❤️
Today we indulged in lunch at @restauranteelcuchifrito, part of the @grupolunajamaica, in the upscale area of Toledo. We came here because we needed a good hug from our brother @carlostordesillas and because of a menu that would fill our bellies, which is what really captivated us. We entered a very spacious restaurant, designed to welcome diners who are finishing their work week and coming to enjoy a gastronomic feast worthy of Michelin stars. Daniel, Jorge, and Carlos appeared and welcomed us like family, seating us at a table we could easily call the "Ralero Table," in a bright and exquisitely arranged dining room. Mayde, attentive and very friendly, served us, taking our order for drinks to quench our thirst: local red wine, soft drinks, and a 0.0% fat toast. Jorge took our order from a wide selection of menus and a la carte options we know very well. -Smoked Iberian pork jowl with croutons and a drizzle of extra virgin olive oil. Manchego-style ratatouille with Iberian ham and free-range egg. Smoked salmon tartare with avocado, sweet spring onion, toasted sesame seeds, and teriyaki sauce. Iberian ham croquettes with tomato jam and shoestring potatoes. Lamb chops with homemade fries. Roast suckling pig, cooked in our traditional style. Iberian pork cheeks braised in red wine. We need some love and sweet dishes to finish our feast. Rice pudding with toasted sugar. Vanilla ice cream on a homemade waffle. Vanilla ice cream with a cookie "turulo" (a type of wafer roll). Whole milk curd with strawberry syrup. We had coffee with milk and black coffee while being treated, courtesy of the house, to digestifs in almost liter-sized glasses. This family's restaurants never disappoint; they're dedicated to their passion for Iberian pork. They've been immersed in it since childhood and their artistry shines through in the dishes they present. The quality of the ingredients they use is exceptional. We left with our bellies very satisfied after a plate of braised pork cheeks that we won't soon forget (cash only). €22/person. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back.
Excellent service from very friendly and efficient staff... combined with delicious, high-quality traditional dishes (Castilian soup, suckling pig, punch, etc.). The location and terrace are lovely, offering exceptional views and tranquility. The set menu is €15, or €25 with suckling pig—very good and juicy. Highly recommended.
A very pleasant place with quality products and exquisite service. The owner was very friendly. We tried the tortilla with candied artichokes, salad with tuna belly, anchovies, and venison... And for dessert, zucchini tart and cheese flan. We didn't leave even a crumb! It's worth getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city center to be amazed.
Had my birthday here. A table outside late at night. Food was different, real Spanish gastronomy.
Very good food and service
One of the best in town
We received excellent service from both waiters who served us. A tapa to start, while we waited for our food... Oriental salad... a mix of sweet and citrus flavors with crispy-coated meat chunks, olives, orange... It was only natural that we would order croquettes, since we knew they were highly recommended. They were plentiful. They tasted good, but perhaps not very creamy. They were served on a bed of straw potatoes. To finish, we had some grilled octopus with perfectly cooked potato parmentier. To drink, water. Overall, the food was good, the service was good... But perhaps they should ask if we want bread or not; they serve it and charge you for it, obviously. The prices aren't bad, but perhaps a little high for some items. I haven't been there in years, and I was pleased to know that the flavor and quality of the product remains intact.
Pk
I've been several times and everything was great, but this last time, while the service was still exceptional, the portions haven't changed in years, and the prices, especially for the wine, are very high compared to the competition. I went to try new things, but it wasn't possible, although everything else was good.
There were two of us. We decided to order some mini sandwiches. The waiter, who was very nice, was about to confirm what they had when, suddenly, we heard the manager speaking loudly and dismissively, calling out to all the customers, saying, "Let's see that table that's only going to be occupied for some 'fleas' (small, fried eggs)!" with contempt. Immediately after hearing this, we asked for the bill for the bottle of water we had already ordered with our dinner. The manager approached us and asked if it was "because of the 'fleas'." I told him not to worry, and his response was, "No, I'm not worried." It seems that for him, a table is only considered worthy if you order half the menu. So, given the situation, we asked for the bill and left. We paid for what we drank and left his place the way he likes it: with fewer customers bothering him. It's a shame because we've been there several times and nothing like this has ever happened before. A word of advice for the manager: good manners don't take up much space... but they're very noticeable when they're lacking. We won't be back, and those 'fleas' certainly deserve better. The respect that one feels here.
