Inky’s Italian Foods is such a staple in Toledo. It’s an old school Italian eatery with so much history and character. The food is consistently great, and the atmosphere takes you back. I would definitely recommend.
Was introduced to Inky's last year by my sister in law. This has become a must have every time we are up in the area. Good food, reasonably priced, and friendly staff!
Very friendly service. Every pizza place has it's fans who claim it's the best pizza in the world. Inky's pizza however was delicious to the utmost degree. Unlike most places I've eaten the cheese was insanely and properly seasoned. So tasty. The sauce (me not really being able to eat a lot of red sauce) was delicious a real treat compared to the usual sauce on pizza nowadays. The crust was baked perfectly and even all the way through. It was cut into strips instead of triangles making each slice the perfect size. It makes the proportions perfect. I would recommend this pizza to anyone looking for something new and delicious!
The food here is amazing. I love the red sauce. Service was fantastic. We will definitely be back 😀.
I was in town on a work trip and was brought here by a local. It's a great, old-school Italian place with lots of character. I haven't had a veal parm in forever, and theirs hit the spot. Good stuff!
Inkys was always a special place from my childhood. My Dad worked nearby at Dana and went there every Friday for lunch. We went there as a family whenever we got to pickup Dad from work. Tonight's visit brought back great memories. Food was excellent, as was the service! Big portions and great desserts too! Inkys is old school! Give it a try, you'll thank me later.
The Italian food is great - HUGE portions, always plenty to take home, it's been around forever and a Toledo favorite for good reason! The pizza is delicious, crust is almost like pie crust. But they do close early some nights, by 7:30 so kitchen closes early, fyi.
it was AMAZING, like beyond good. their sauces were better than any sauce I've ever had and the meatballs were melt in your mouth and full of flavor. The ravioli pasta tasted handmade and they were stuffed full! Food was omg good, chefs kiss!
Great local place. Food was awesome, as was the service. I was told the pizza was really good, but wasnt in the mood. I will tell you the eggplant parmesan was to die for. Portions are large and fairly inexpensive. Don't miss dessert, you will regret it. White chocolate raspberry cheesecake for the win!
We happened upon this restaurant before a concert. I am so glad we did. We were seated by the owner and he was so nice and talkative regarding the history of this place. The dinners come with a simple side salad and bread. The chicken Alfredo was delicious, well flavored, and the chicken was not dry. My husband had the “small” spaghetti. The portions are very generous. The environment is cozy, not super spacious. They also serve desserts but were stuffed. So glad we picked this place.
We made the trek from Dallas, Texas, to Toledo, Ohio, for a family gathering, and Inky's Pizza turned out to be the highlight of our visit! Having seen Dave Portnoy's review, we were excited to try it out. The wait for our pizza was a bit longer than expected, but the experience was well worth it, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Lisa O. Lisa was an absolute gem!!! Her warmth and kindness made us feel right at home. She went above and beyond, surprising us with free T-shirts and a fresh salad on the house. When she overheard my mom mentioning a craving for taco pizza, Lisa didn’t hesitate to whip one up for us, completely free of charge! The pizzas were phenomenal literally perfectly cooked, and easily some of the best we’ve ever had. The taco pizza was a standout, and the whole family couldn’t stop raving about it. Inky’s isn’t just about great food; it’s about the heart and soul they put into making every customer feel special. We’ll absolutely be back next time we’re in Toledo. Thank you, Lisa, for making our visit unforgettable!
Old school Italian. Huge, yummy portions. In the pics the smaller is the "bowl" of pasta with a meatball and the other is 1/2 pasta1/2 lasagna with meatsauce and meatball dinner. I had water and hubby ordered a Yingling. Total was $33 and change. $40 out the door with tip. I will say the sauce was mildly seasoned with red pepper flakes. I really liked it, but I know some do not. Our server was friendly and service was quick. I will be back here again when I come thru Toledo.
Inky's Pizza in Toledo is a legendary spot that has been serving up mouthwatering pizzas for over 60 years. The portions are perfect, packed with flavor, and the pizza crust is delightfully crispy .This place takes immense pride in its heritage, pouring love for the country and food into every dish Whether you're a long-time fan or a first-time visitor, Inky's Pizza offers an unforgettable dining experience that celebrates tradition and taste Don't miss out on this Toledo treasure!
I've been eating at Inky's since childhood and thankfully, somehow, in 20+ years they haven't changed. The staff are very welcoming, kind, and knowledgeable about the menu. To date I haven't had an allergic reaction to their food. I highly recommend their pizza but my go to nearly every time is the eggplant parmesan and their salad with red wine and vinegar. Highly recommended!
I'm being very generous when I give this restaurant 4 stars. 3 starts might be a little harsh. First off I really liked the building, old school, casual diner. Our server said she was new but was very friendly, attentive. Cheese bread and marinara sauce was really good. It was wait for the dinner. This is the disappointing part, our pizza was not hot at all and had a slight doughy taste. As long as I waited it should have been fresh and hot. The spaghetti was ok. The best part was the lasagna, very surprised. It was covered in delicious sauce and cheese. My only other complaint is the server never removed any dirty dishes from table during the meal. It stared to take up real estate. The prices seemed reasonable. At some point in time I will give it another try.
Pizzas are not the same as they used to be in the 90s they were cut in strips and they were thick and heavy now they're like regular Pizza the ingredients will not hold up to being cut into thick strips anymore totally different been eating there since I was a little kid in the 70s with my parents
Very overpriced, boring and bland Italian food. The salad was the absolute worst I have ever had in my nearly 60 years of eating out and going to restaurants. Cheap lettuce, with a small amount of diced tomatoes and that's it? The lasagna had little to no meat or cheese in it and the one meatball on the spaghetti had less flavor than SpaghettiOs. All of these cheap and flavorless portions where camouflaged under a ton of canned spaghetti sauce. Will not be coming here anymore.
Our waitress came over out of breath and didn't even say hello. Our garlic bread was mushy and flavorless. Lasagna and spaghetti tasted like it was old. The lasagna noodles were mush. The sauce tastes like chef boyardee. The waitress apologized and discounted our meal. Offered us a pizza or something and we kindly declined. We paid for the bread, salad and sodas. We will not be back.
