Stopped here for dinner as it was close to our airbnb. Place is small (think one big table and 2 smaller ones) but it was very welcoming and it felt comfortable. We really loved the katsu curry, katsudon was just alright. The out of menu sesame chesecake was delicious. We had a good time and spent about 20€ each (apperizer, main course, dessert, water) The anime opening music was a fun touch.
The meal was beyond expectations — so good!
Amazing idea and concept for quality Japanese food, the owners very friendly and the dishes we tried were very good and delicious. A Japanese flavor in Turin
My wife and I wanted some Japanese food and we came across this place. The couple inside were very accommodating by explaining the menu in English for us. We ordered a range of dishes all very lovely but the one that stood out for the was Okonomiyaki. We had originally ordered it and while we were waiting the cook asked us if we wanted to try an alternative version with pork and fried eggs. They showed us a picture on their phone and this was the best dish we had. We felt very welcome and the service was great!
I tried chicken donburi, very delicious. Reasonable price and very fast service
Great authentic Japanese food, served as it would on a festival in Japan. The design and atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired, but if the flavor is what matters, Matsurika di Tokyo is one of the very few authentic Japanese restaurants in Turin.
I had takeout a few days ago and I swear I can't stop thinking about the food. I went on a classic Gyoza + Karaage, got some rice and edamame. I loved how delicate the food was, as well as easy to digest. I look forward to more of it :)
Friendly local with typical Japanese dishes. Very friendly and helpful staff. The food was very good.
Amazing food , authentic Japanese restaurant
One week ago, I tried for the first time a new typical restaurant in che inner city and it was an amazing experience . but the most wonderful thing was the food, the menu was rich of choices! I really recommend " Matsurika di Tokyo" and I' ll certainly come back for other dinners!
Good Place with very friendly staff ! Helped us a lot with our choices . Good music vibes and nice chef ... she even got us spoons . I Recommend for all Japanese food Lovers !! And not that expensive compared to other places around. Authentic to say the least. Miso soup was fantastic, as was the salad.
Went there for lunch at 12:30, however we only got served at 13:10. We thought the wait was too long. We do understand there was only one person in the kitchen. Other than that the food was amazing. We took the burgers and onigiri and they were really good. Great quality food. The matcha is also really good and affordable.

We went dinner with a couple of friends to celebrate the birthday of one of them. The dishes were okay but we wait ONE HOUR AND A HALF for it. We arrived at 20:45 and ate the main course around 23:00 The infuriating thing was when 30 minutes after ordering, they brought 4 gyozas for 7 people. If it hadn't been for the birthday boy wanting to eat there, I would have walked out. Also too expensive for Japanese street food. They evidently took too many orders to satisfactorily serve the people dining in the restaurant at that moment. The delicious food completely ruined by the bad experience.

To start we must declare that the iced Macha late ordered from the normal menu was excellent. The personnel of the restaurant were also enthusiastic and nice to us. That being said, the lunch special ordered via Too Good To Go was disappointing insipid hospital food but with no nutritional balance. The pricing was also incomprehensible. We bought an offer that should have consisted of a €12 menu value but looking later at the menu what we got had a list price of €28 if they were full size servings. Our favorite theory is that our leftovers were discounted because they contained no protein and perhaps only 2-3 grams of vegetable matter, total. It was substantially 2 containers of carbohydrate. Okonomiyaki: Kansai style, not Hiroshima (Tokyo) style. The structure and density of the pancake was more like a Chinese scallion pancake. There was no discernible dashi, pancetta, shrimp or yam. Cabage or other vegetable matter was extremely hard to find. One positive thing is that the condiments were imported and flavorful. Steamed rice: Mushy. Seemed overcooked/boiled. Curry: Not as thick as normal Japanese curry roux makes something like this and very little flavor. Watery. 6 small pieces of potato and 3 tiny pieces of carrot. (Oh, Potato = Carbohydrate) The fact that this is supposed to be leftovers was also confusing because our nice servers were busy frying pancakes for us and the other people waiting for their 2 Good 2 Go. Perhaps too many were sold? ------ After reading the reply from the restaurant we are very disappointed and will never return. Our comment was about the quality and authenticity of the food provided, not about the system of payment. If, in this case, hot water was added to the curry to make it hot, that makes no sense given that most people have facilities at home or in their office to increase the temperature of their take away. If it was added to increase volume, well, there's another word for that. So, what seems to be being said in the reply is that the food service promotion and marketing app which is designed with the objective of combatting food waste (2030 17 Sustainable Development Goals) and decreased food service 'shrinkage', is a useless, unworthy, red headed stepchild and orders via this channel are inconsequential. Please read your agreement.
The staff were kind but the food is awful. Not japanese food at all..the yakiniku don was salty and had too much sauce. The rice was floating in the sauce. The karaage don had also a lot of teriyaki sauce, it tasted too sweet. The gyoza soy sauce spilled over because the paper plate had small holes on the angles. It was really terrible. I dont understand where the 4.7 stars are coming from, I expected it to be delicious but it was not. It doesn't even deserve 1 star that I give (gave 1 cause I can't give 0), it's a 0 for me.
Long wait in an empty restaurant. The food was the worst I have eaten in Italy, both in price/quantity and quality. It is a small container with rice and sauce that looks and tastes like it was bought ready-made at the supermarket and heated up in the microwave. The ladies of the restaurant were kind.
