Excited for the new Torrance store! Grand opening 4/19/24, and soft opening now (4/14) with limited hours. This is the most popular dumpling chain in Taiwan, more stores than DTF. It’s not the sit down DTF with one hour wait, but it’s designed as a quick in and out lunch or dinner place with delicious dumplings, noodles, and highly recommended pork chops. We got the #8 combo plus beef noodle soup (soup snd noodles packed separately for to-go orders) and a couple of appetizers, the price is not cheap but reasonable in today’s standards. Service was prompt and friendly. The seating areas are clean.

Been hyped to check this resto out since it’s the first time we’ve heard about it and now they’ve marketed very well that they are opening a new branch near us! Though looking like a fast food setting the food are very much made as you order, which is great, cause potstickers and dumplings should be eaten quite fresh. We ordered their main one’s which are the fried potstickers, Dumplings (with 3 diff flavors, 4 pieces each), and their drunken noodle (best way I can describe it since it’s not a soup noodle). Tastes were great and the different flavors offered (outside of the classic ones) were very great choices, there were kimchi and corn on the other. All tasted great alone and with sauce! It’s quite heavy too despite the appearances. Will definitely go back again to try their other stuff!

Great place for lunch or dinner. Lots of combo options. Udon Noodle bowls are very large, definitely enough for two people to share or one hungry person. Good boba tea selection as well. It’s awesome that it is in a large shopping center with plenty of free parking. Highly recommend as food is great, service is knowledgeable, and affordable for a family.

We got the signature dumplings, Taiwanese beef noodle soup, kimchi & pork dumplings, and a fried pork chop, plus an oolong milk tea. Everything was great! Very flavorful without being overly salty. Authentic taste, quality items. We'll return to try the signature potstickers and the Bafang noodles.

The food is fantastic! Fresh, flavorful, reasonably priced, and ready to go in about 12 minutes. We discovered Bafang while on the way to another restaurant and decided to try it. The restaurant seating is similar to most fast-food restaurants. It was sparklingly clean, smelled delicious, and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We had steamed dumplings, dried noodles, and soup with an assortment of sauces. The price was very reasonable. We all enjoyed it immensely. I recommend Bafang to everyone of my friends who may be in the area!

After a few weeks awaiting Bafang to open Me & my family came to check out their dumplings and noodles. The restaurant is spacious, easy to pick out yummy selections from their menu. Such a variety of dumplings we ended up getting their 4 flavor pack which came with pork and corn, pork and kimchee, pork and leek, & chicken and leek. We also got their Pork chop and noodle combo which came with their lemon black tea which was quite refreshing. Everything tastes really good in Taiwanese style dumplings here at Bafang Dumpling. You can get. your own black vinegar, soy sauce, and garlic sauces for dipping at the sauce bar. You can also order their signature dumplings in frozen bags to take home. The restaurant is clean, organized, & good service. I'll be back to check out more items on the menu.

Decided to give it a try since it's new. Easy menu on display. Ordered the combo. Staff is friendly. Restaurant is nice, bright and clean with plenty of seating. Food came in about 5min. Packaging is the same whether you dine-in or take-out. Some condiments by the side (chilli sauce, garlic sauce etc). Overall, nothing to shout about. Just ok if you want some variety from the other asian offerings around the area. Perhaps their beef noodle or pork chop might be nicer. Will try again

Good food and very accessible prices. The dumplins are very good and one of my son's favorite. Enough parking spaces and very friendly staff. Enjoy your visit!

I tried the fried pork and noodles. It was good but not great. Pork was a little slimy. I’m not sure the style of Taiwanese food and the preparation. For me I didn’t like it because I would of liked more of a crisp to it. The boba could have been better in taste- bland, but then again it is not a place of specialized boba drinks. I’ve tasted different types of corn chowder and this one was not my favorite. It had a strong chicken stock taste to it. Service was fast and staff was friendly. I appreciated that. Thank you

Pretty good Taiwanese chain place for dumplings and potstickers. Their combos give you a lot of choices and variety for potstickers, dumplings, and noodles. Their corn chowder and hot and sour soup is very soothing and homely. the potstickers and dumplings are very good and the garlic, soy and other sauces are easy to grab and access. The service is a tad bit slow and you bus your own table.

Open and bright restaurant. Staff are friendly and efficient. New menu item me minced pork rice with pork chop. Might want to let them know to drizzle the minced pork over the rice instead of pork chop.

This is the Del Amo Village, Torrance outlet of the Taiwanese chain restaurant Ba Fang Dumplings. It’s diagonally across from the Starbucks shop near by. It’s a limited menu dumpling and noodle shop that is run like a fast food restaurant. Dumplings are quite good and the Ba Fang Special Noodles which is similar to Dan Dan noodles was just average. I think it would be best to stick with the dumplings and potstickers and perhaps the spicy beef soup noodles. Personally I think these dumplings are too expensive at about $1 per dumpling. Also their simple noodles at $7 for a tiny bow is over priced. However they also offer boba tea drinks at $5 each. You can buy frozen dumplings to cook at home as well. They have a sauce station where you can pick up garlic sauce, chili sauce, vinegar, and soy sauce for your dumplings.

The service was not bad, but it was not outstanding. I got the chicken corn dumplings and potstickers, which lacked flavor. Chicken and corn are not the best combo for potstickers and dumplings. The wonton soup was pretty decent, but the broth could’ve been more flavorful. The signature noodles had a nutty taste that I was not a big fan of, but others may like it. The soy wild mango boba was not distasteful. It lacked mango flavor and tasted like thick creamy soy milk with a drop of food coloring and sweetener. Overall, I would rate this experience a 5/10. I would not come back, but it was nice to try!

I visited Bafang Dumpling recently and was impressed by how well-organized and clean the place was. The service was friendly, which I definitely appreciated. Unfortunately, the food itself was underwhelming. In my opinion, the dumplings didn’t stand out and tasted similar to what you might find in the frozen aisle at a grocery store—which isn’t what I was hoping for from a dine-in experience. Of course, this is just my personal take, and others may feel differently. Overall, I’d give it a 6 out of 10 and, sadly, wouldn’t recommend it.

Brand new Taiwanese restaurant to Torrance as of April 2024. They serve the classic dumplings, pot stickers, pork chop, beef noodle soups, and dry noodles. What I love about this place is how reasonable the pricing is. It's a pretty big chain in Taiwan and I'm so happy they're expanding into the states. Quick and easy grub. More of a food court vibe than restaurant, but personally I'll get it to go. Def worth checking out without breaking the bank. You can get filled up for under $20!

The service is OK since you order your meal at the counter and find your own table. The real problem with this Torrance store is the cook. We had several meals at this place. Whenever the owner/main cooks are not in the kitchen, the noodle meals tends to be over-sweet. In anther words, the food quality is not consistent, especially for the price they charge you.

We came here because my friend wanted to try it since it was a new spot in town. There is not that many people there on a weekend for lunch time. We had a group of about 5 people, and we were pretty hungry, so we ordered one of each specialty noodles, and various pot stickers, as well as their chicken and pork chop. After kind of doing a taste around the world of their top items off the menu, their dishes are okay. It's not anything that stood out to me. I feel like they didn't have a best seller to wow the crowd kind of place. Its a self serve kind of place, as you order, pick up the order and eat your order. They don't really do TLC on their dining area since they don't serve to that area, its kind of like pick up after yourself model. I guess it just depends on the day you go, how clean it is, I went in the earlier phase so I think it was cleaner. I mean I wouldn't come back here again if given the option to unless a friend would want to. Just wasn't impressed and the amount of food for the price is slightly higher side. I was disappointed with the portion. Shared parking with other stuff in plaza, and they do have a bathroom.

There are few culinary journeys more humbling than the pursuit of authenticity along the commercial corridors of modern dining. On a recent sojourn through Torrance, California, I found myself drawn to Bafang Dumplings, lured by the promise of something more earnest than the perfunctory offerings of Panda Express, yet self-aware enough to understand that this was no back-alley gem of Taipei. With expectations tempered, I opted for the combo platter, pairing their signature potstickers with the kimchi & pork dumplings, hedging my bets on the establishment’s titular specialty. Here lies the irony—the potstickers, golden-crisp and balanced between toothsome chew and juicy interior, outshone the dumplings entirely. They were, dare I say, delicious, a rare commendation from my lips. The sear was well executed, the filling flavorful, a composition that spoke of care even within commercial confines. The dumplings, however, faltered. Laden with the same filling options, they lacked the textural drama of their pan-fried cousins. Instead, they emerged as underwhelming vessels—steamed parcels promising much but delivering little. And so, the dish that bore the restaurant’s name became its most notable shortcoming, a disappointment that resonated louder for the expectation it failed to meet. A selection of dipping sauces did their valiant best to prop up the experience. The brown garlic sauce—bold and unapologetic—stood out, while the chili sauce offered a warming balance, and even the classic soy found its place. The sesame oil, however, fell to the wayside, subdued in a cast of stronger personalities. To wash it all down, a sweet iced black lemon tea provided a welcome reprieve, its tannic base sharpened by citrus and softened by sugar—a delicate finale to a meal of contrasts. Would I return? Perhaps. The potstickers alone warrant a second glance. And given that the cashier informed me that the dumplings could be filled with the same signature blend, I might grant them one more opportunity to redeem their name. But let it be said plainly: a restaurant named for its dumplings ought never let the potstickers steal the show. Rating: 3.5/5 – A commercial echo of tradition, elevated by its potstickers but undermined by its namesake.

Went there for lunch the other day. Food was middling at best. While there are different flavors of dumplings they all tasted pretty much the same (I may just be a simple and unrefined consumer of dumplings). The service was slow and it took a long time to order and ultimately receive our food. I can chalk that up to being part of the lunch rush, but it still felt like a long wait for a basic order. The atmosphere is 100% American soulless strip mall. On the upside, the portions were quite generous and I felt like I received reasonable value for the price.

Great service, nice people. The food appears to be all frozen and reheated. the soup was warmed up but the potatoes were cold in the middle. The noodles and dumplings tasted great but gave us cramps, gas, and diarrhea.

The food was really bland and boring. We ordered dry old fashioned and signature style bafang noodles, first of all its not mentioned anywhere that it doesn't come with any protein option. Just plain noodles with no veggies, no protein in it. Paid over $40 for that tasteless food.
