This is one of the local gems located in downtown Torrance. Local Kitchen is a very nice American diner that has very nice atmosphere. This is a perfect place to get drinks with friends and watch sport games there. They have great food and drinks menu there. The foods there are good but not amazing. However, the portion size is huge, and it can fit up to 2 -3 people. You can find much better foods near the same area in downtown Torrance. They do have amazing host and service there. Quick tips: There are street parking, but you might need to park your car from few blocks away during peak hours.
Nice place to bring friends and coworkers for dinner. Hot wings and buffalo sauce are amazing! Seems like an old pub with pleasant lighting and comfortable chaors.
Love it here. Great food with large portions, buy dinner once and we always have leftovers for lunch the next day. Staff are great and the service is always quick and accommodating. Living nearby, this is the first restaurant we always bring guests to when they come to visit
I love this hidden gem, right at the heart of Old Town Torrance! 🤩 The food is great and the portion is huge, we ended up getting a to-go box and it would feed us two more meals. 😋 The vibe of this place is so warm and inviting. The staff are all nice and chill. I really enjoy dining here with friends and my wife!
I think it’s called Downtown Torrance — honestly, I’m not super familiar with Torrance and I’ve had some very questionable experiences here in the past. But this spot? Five stars all the way, girl. From the moment I sat down, Daniel behind the bar set the tone — warm, attentive, and mixing cocktails that could hold their own anywhere in the South Bay. The food? Outstanding. Fresh, flavorful, and exactly the kind of plates you want when you’re settling in for a late lunch or easing into happy hour. Speaking of happy hour… 3–6 PM and absolutely worth the detour. Great pricing, generous pours, and that relaxed, grown-up vibe I look for when I’m out exploring the South Bay. Parking was way easier than I expected — there’s street parking AND a nearby lot that’s literally a two-second walk. No drama, no stress. If you’re anywhere in the South Bay, check this place out. As long as I’m still on the mainland (and that’s probably only until the end of February 2026 👀✈️🌺), I’ll be back for happy hour again and again. SipWatchTravel approved.
Great Resturant! The food was super tasty, and the service was amazing. The staff were really friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. You can tell they really care about their customers. Definitely coming back again soon!
Last minute birthday dinner for 2 on a weeknight resulted in a pleasant and warm dinner experience. Atmosphere: walking in I could already smell the warmth and nostalgia of having a home-like experience. The main dining room is reminiscent of a large living room with built-in bookshelves with various decor. Numerous TV with sports on the screens. I felt like I was sitting in my living room with a full bar in the distance. Food/ Drinks: Numerous options. Rotating local breweries on tap. Food was not mind-blowing to the palate but well- presented. The cup of tomato bisque was delicious and only $4-to my surprise. Service: Samantha was wonderful! She was attentive, warm, and efficient. She checked on us frequently to ensure all Our needs were met. She made our overall experience worth the drive over. Will be back with friends and family!
A friend and I stopped at Local Kitchen for the first time for an early dinner, and it was a great experience. Traffic around that area was not bad at all on a Tuesday and we parked for free in a garage. The interior has a trendy look and they give you BIG portions. Additionally, Samantha, our server was excellent and checked in on us several times to make sure all our needs were met. I ordered penne pasta with shrimp and marinara sauce. It was very flavorful with a good amount of shrimp and I ate it for 3 meals. I will definitely go back if I am ever in the area again. Thank you.
I dropped by for a bite, and I was thoroughly impressed. This was my first time eating at this restaurant, Daniel was my server and he was great from beginning to end. Gave me good feedback on customer favorites. I enjoyed the food, I was outside as I wanted a more quiet atmosphere. The staff was completely attentive, from the host who seated, to those who quickly brought out the food, keeping an eye out for any needs, and picking up plates. Really enjoyed my entire experience and would highly recommend going. Thanks Daniel, you represented the restaurant extremely well and again, the food was GREAT!
Local Kitchen is a gem! Lindsey provided exceptional service, making us feel welcomed and attended to throughout our visit. The food was a highlight— the wings were perfectly crispy and flavorful, the calamari was tender and well-seasoned, and the mozzarella sticks were gooey, cheesy perfection. The drinks were refreshing and beautifully presented, adding to the overall experience. The upbeat atmosphere created a lively, fun vibe that made our evening memorable. I’d absolutely come back again and recommend Local Kitchen to anyone looking for great food and a fantastic time!
OMG My new go to. Food is amazing. We had the sea bass and the cajun shrimp chicken paste and can't decide which is better. Both full of flavor. Portions are enormous. Great place

Hustling bustling popular spot in town among locals. Had chicken 🍗 and waffle 🧇 and both items were cooked to perfection with excellent taste and texture. Beer 🍺 I had a Smog City IPA and was very delish. Price was excellent. Highly recommended
Great dining experience in Downtown Torrance. If you are looking for tons of solid choices for food and alcohol, you can't go wrong here. You're bound to find a dish that appeals to you in their packed menu. Their beer menu is very respectable, including offerings from local Torrance breweries. The ambiance is also great with a relaxed, cozy vibe and plenty of TVs if you can't miss the big game.
American-style gastropub in Old Town Torrance. Nice decor, comfortable seating, very good service. The establishment serves a wide variety of foods and beverages. The food is very high quality, and the prices are reasonable. I had the lemon grilled chicken that came with mashed potatoes and an arugula salad. The meat was tender and expertly cooked. The lemon/butter sauce was delicate but at the same time savory. My wife had the Tuscan Sea Bass, which also came with mashed potatoes (which she substituted for brown rice) and an arugula salad. It was also delicate and savory. We had a side of fries because our friends suggested we should try them. And they didn't disappoint: crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and served at the perfect temperature. Highly recommended.
Absolutely amazing spot hidden in Old Town Torrance!!! The ambiance was coherent and rustic without being overbearing. Service was quick, helpful, and understanding! I highly recommend the calamari to start and any entree is going to make you full and happy. The entrees are pretty large and hearty so bring a empty stomach for sure if you're coming for dinner.

We had a party of 5 with a reservation. We got seated promptly. Drinks were ordered and brought immediately. Our party ordered the meatloaf stack, the sea bass plate, and tri tip sandwich. The food came out quickly. The plates were full. The meatloaf was on the drier side. But, when mixed with the mashed potatoes and the sauce it was better. The sea bass was tasty and the mashed potatoes were very good. The arugula salad was under whelming and probably should have been replaced with some veggies. The atmosphere was quite loud. It was very hard to carry on a conversation across the table with our guests. Would we go back...yes. Would I like to try some other dishes...yes
Large portions, but mostly pasta, while there wasn't much chicken or shrimp.we It tasted good. Best thing was the Big Bavarian Pretzel. It was delicious. The place was really loud, though. There was a Dodger playoff game on, so that makes sense. Maybe it's better when there aren't big games like that on. If not. Definitely not the place to treasure your senior parent like were did.

Have been here a couple times for food & drink and have been super happy with my experience. Foods great, beer selection is awesome, and service is great! Tonight we went for a couple cocktails, a Lavender Honeycomb and an "Elder” Old Fashioned, and man, I was disappointed. Both of these cocktails were straight sugar. The Lavender Honeycomb tasted of lemonade, vodka, and simple syrup, nothing more. I think they completely missed the mark. No gin flavor to be found. The Old Fashioned: whiskey, orange juice, slight elderberry, and simple syrup. I get taking a different approach to a classic cocktail but it just didn't hit for me. I had lots of orange pulp in my drink, which seems a bit sloppy, and bitters were nowhere to be found.
