We recently hosted a cocktail party at home and ordered catering from Himalayan Kitchen, Tracy, and the food was absolutely amazing. We had Shahi Ghost Mutton Biryani, Butter Chicken, and Apollo Fish, and every single dish was a hit. The flavors were rich, authentic, and perfectly balanced. The Shahi Ghost Mutton Biryani were cooked to perfection. Our guests couldn’t stop praising the food and kept asking where it was from. Highly recommend Himalayan Kitchen for parties, catering, or even a special family meal. They truly helped make our evening memorable!

We ordered Meghana chicken 65 biriyani and ghee roast goat biriyani. Both biriyani's tasted delicious and the quantity was perfect for 2 people. The Fish sizzler and chicken sizzler were amazing. It was worth the money spent.

I ordered the buttered chicken and garlic naan. One of my favorite dishes. The kitchen did an excellent job with it and did not disappoint. The food was good to eat right out the gate. Wasn’t too hot temp wise and of course, Indian food is packed with flavor. The restaurant isn’t too big, but enough to accompany you and your family for a lunch/dinner out. Price was fair and server was great. Come and try.

My wife and I visited Himalayan Kitchen in Tracy, California, and we were blown away. The restaurant was spotless, and we were lucky enough to be served by HARPREET, who delivered what was easily the best service I’ve ever had at an Indian restaurant—maybe any restaurant, period. The food came out fresh, fast, and absolutely delicious. We started with the Malai Tikka (I believe that’s what it was called)—marinated chicken with a creamy sauce and a delicious coleslaw on the side. The green chutney it came with paired perfectly with everything. Our second appetizer was the Garlic Chicken HK, and it was on a completely different level. Crispy chunks of moist, perfectly battered chicken packed with flavor, with little pieces of crispy garlic mixed in—honestly incredible in every way. For dinner, we ordered the Shahi Ghost Biryani. It was super flavorful, the goat was extremely tender, and the rice was cooked to perfection. The raita it came with might be one of the best I’ve ever had. Overall, this is hands-down one of the best Indian restaurants in Tracy. It’s clean, welcoming, reasonably priced, and serves incredibly fresh food. And the star of the entire experience was HARPREET. She is truly one of the best servers I’ve ever had. If I could give this place 10 stars, I would—unfortunately, I’m only allowed five!

As soon as we entered the resteraunt, the fresh aroma of indian cuisine consumed my thoughts. Everyone had a warm smile on their faces and made us feel welcome. Food blew out my expectations not even a single item in breakfast buffet disappointed me. We were served hot and fresh puri and dosa's on demand. Highly recommend it!

We went in for a late lunch while some tandoor items were not available, friendly staff helped with right menu for us. Gobi manchurian, chilli paneer, mix veg curry were finest here. Naans are freshly made, soft in mouth. I would rate high for friendly staff, best tandoor food with right spice levels.

Stopped by for dinner. Food was amazing. Service was excellent. We ordered the butter chicken, Mali kofta, and chalk paneer, with garlic naan and rice. We also ordered some raita to cool off any spice.. but the spice level was perfect!

Himalayan Kitchen is my family’s go-to spot when we are looking for a delicious meal and a cozy atmosphere. The food is always delicious and we especially love the goat ghee roast biriyani and Apollo fish. Additionally, the servers are always a delight and we have never had a bad experience. We totally recommend this spot if you are looking for something new!

I had a fantastic experience at Himalayan Kitchen Indian Cuisine in Tracy! From the moment we walked in the staff were friendly and helpful, and the space was clean and inviting. We ordered a variety of dishes including the butter chicken, Ambur chicken biryani and garlic naan — each dish was richly flavorful, and the portions were generous. The biryani especially stood out with its aromatic rice and juicy chicken. The spice levels were well balanced (you can definitely ask for it milder or hotter), and there were plenty of vegetarian options too. We also loved the mango lassi — a perfect way to round out the meal. What really stood out was the service: the server checked in to make sure everything was to our liking, and the food arrived promptly. Whether you’re looking for a casual dinner or a place to celebrate a special occasion, this place fits the bill. I’ll definitely be returning and would recommend Himalayan Kitchen to anyone in the area craving delicious Indian cuisine!

Had a weekend dinner in this Indian retaurant and I was pleasantly surprised. Food was good with respect to taste, presentation, price. Small improvement can be on the quantity but I can ignore that since all the dishes were really tasty. We tried green chicken, gobi 65, dahi kachuri chaat as appetiser and chettinad chicken and garlic naan as main. All were perfect. I surely recommend.

Great creamy chicken, a little sweet- great blend. Basmati rice- $4. Not just plain rice- has curry leaves and spices inside made it special. Mango lassi- creamy, thick sweet mango lassi. $4 Naan Butter- $1.49, great price and great bread, soft chewy. Not fluffy, but very delicious. The service is a little bit difficult due to the low number of servers and English barrier, with online menu, but waitress/host/bus girl was very kind and patient. Nice restaurant interior- great to sit and eat.

The food we catered from then was very delicious and not very spicy and at the same time good priced.Highly recommended! We had the most fun part .. indoor live pani poori stall .. that was a big hit … the staff and the Taste of Panipoori , the crunchy poori as well as the flavor of paani was excellent… Thanks to Himalayan kitchen for making this day a special and memorable event

The staff ( Likitha and Harpreet) was very professional and courteous. The food was delicious. Ordered chilli corn, butter paneer masala and methi muttor malai. Had to order mold for kids. Food was at right spice level and portion size is big. Methi malai could have more frwwh methi but taste was good. Honestly if food is 4.5 , the staff pushed it beyond 5 with their professional behavior and great customer service. Will visit again

We have been here 2x and each time the food was very tasty. A bit on the spicier side but those that can tolerate will enjoy it. Being a new business, they need to focus on authenticity to attract more customers from various backgrounds. For example; I inquired about the chicken and goat being halal and was told that it was over the phone however, upon arriving at the restaurant we wanted to authenticate that but there was no certificate displayed nor did they have one handy. People in my group of guests were hesitant to eat. It would be great to have something available for those needing that confirmation. On my first visit I asked for some of their tamarind chutney, but they said they ran out as it’s made fresh daily, so on my second visit when I asked for some again, they said they don’t have any. Some appetizer items were not available both times. I’m giving this long review because I see this restaurant has potential but they need to get a customers perspective of what is needed. Good Luck!

Ordered to go dinner, Malai kofta, Paneer butter masala, and Spicy Vij Paneer biryani. All tasted very good. Would ask for spicy malai kofta next time as it was a bit sweetish. I was told by the restaurant staff that the restaurant is a branch of Mountain View Himalayan kitchen, but I didn't feel Malai Kofta as great as the Mountain view one, but it was good. Next time, I will go for dining as the ambiance seems good.

I had a deeply concerning experience with the food quality and hygiene at your restaurant. I ordered veg curry and veg Hakka noodles for my child, and to our shock, while eating the noodles, I found a steel scrubber particle in my mouth. This is not only unhygienic but also a serious safety hazard, especially when the food was intended for a child. Such negligence could have caused choking or internal injury. This level of carelessness is completely unacceptable and raises major concerns about the cleanliness and food preparation practices at your establishment. I sincerely hope you investigate this matter seriously and take immediate corrective action to ensure this doesn’t happen to any other customer in the future.

I ordered a few dosas to go, and they gave me the wrong order with my order slip attached to it . I had to drive back again to pick up the correct one. The food quality was horrible .. every dosa was burnt and tasted terrible. The paneer dosa was spoiled. Sambar was missing from the order . Absolute waste of money.
