The guy who took our order and Ring us up was so nice very friendly and very fast. The food was all hot and fresh and tasted great.
I went today for an order and the service was amazingggg (food was pretty good too) Sweet young lady named Katherine was very helpful and kind and you don't always see that in fast food. Bill Miller needs more young ones like her, she was working very hard and I've noticed she's always there when we go and on top of her game!
Lunch was great today! Ms. Gonzales was super nice and made sure my order was correct and fresh!
The young lady at the window with glasses is always a delight. Positive energy makes the day better. Some of the other employees are a hit or miss.
Fried chicken was very good. Granddaughter loves the chicken strips and brownies.
I usually don’t like sandwiches, and never care for fries. But my husband persuaded me to try the Poor Boy sandwich with fries here. They were tasty! I am glade that I tried it. I will be happy to eat them again!
I want to commend Maria Gonzales and her whole crew for their quick and efficient service during the busy lunch rush today!! Best Bill Millers location I’ve been to in a while.
Love the chicken. Love the breakfast tacos. Sorry the prices have gone up but so have other places. Wish they had military discounts. Most time tea is good have had a few that I had to dump out when I got home or away from the restaurant. Place in Converse shows it's age when comparing to new places but still capable of serving the same food and experience. Employees are great, friendly, curtious and knowledgeable.
We did the drive-thru a few weeks ago and got the Cowboy Breakfast of Biscuit with sausage gravy, and bacon and several Potato, Egg and bacon breakfast Tacos. Food was well seasoned, hot and tasted good. Would definitely recommend and will certainly return again.

I had a fantastic experience with April tonight. She was an absolute Earth Angel. I had a terribly stressful afternoon with family issues. God does answer prayers. He sent an Angel to work the window at Bill Miller's BBQ tonight. I absolutely appreciate April's kindness and outstanding customer service. I love the food and my heart is filled with warmth. Our Universal City location is so much appreciated.
I went in to the restaurant in Universal City today and while there, one person was all over the place getting things done during a busy time. She was working the line taking orders then went and threw a bunch of fish in the fryer before she came back in time to get our drinks. All this and then went and cleaned a table before we could even sit down. This person was the manager Maria Gonzales or Ms G she definitely makes sure the customer is taken care of. Thank you Ms G. Also the code fish was great.
Good place to go with a group after church. We pushed several tables together for 16 people. We had good food and fellowship.
2 consecutive mornings picked up brisket and potatoes taco. Amazing. Tea always on point. Staff outstanding. Staff works together like a well oiled machine.
The service was amazing and the food was ok. The tables were a bit dirty and needed a deep cleaning in the bathroom maybe an update. But overall the staff makes me want to come back.

I love coming to this location. Everyone works hard, they're friendly, and my food is always good. Getting to see Tunisia is the cherry on top! She always makes a point to ask how I am and takes a moment to make small talk while waiting for my food to arrive or the transaction to clear. She's a treasure!
This is a great place. My daughter just loves the Rancher plate. Double brisket, double Mac n cheese, fries and a large sweet Tea. Gotta grab some bean and cheese tacos with the salsa. So yummy 😋
This is one of my favorite locations!! Staff is super nice. I could tell they are managed well and well taken care of because they looked genuinely happy. Food was super good and the place looked clean, bathroom too.
Recently, I stopped by Bill Miller's after a long day of work and had the most pleasant experience at the drive- through. The lady who took my order and gave me my food was so nice, I wish I had gotten her name. She hoped I had a blessed day, and she was so sunny and cheerful when she said it, I knew she meant it. Additionally, the food was delicious, and my order was promptly provided. I always love going to Bill Miller's. They are always friendly, and the food is comfort after a long day. Thank you!

I went through the drive through. First of all the prices have gone up drastically. I couldn't believe it when they gave me the total. The poor boy sandwiches had a lot of fat, and the meat was so charred and tough. The pound of brisket was a bunch of scraps (crumbles). No slices of brisket. It will be a while before I go to Bill Millers again.
Picked up an order in the drive-thru. Drive through to extremely way too long. Once you receive their food and verified, who is missing a few things, but we figured it out. We were able to enjoy some Bill Miller's barbecue.
Staff and atmosphere are great, my order was ordered online for pick-up and done within 15 minutes of the initial order. Sweet tea was great, I ordered brisket plate and the wife ordered the sausage and was disappointed because mission bbq does it better. Don't get me wrong it was good, but kind of a let down because of how wide spread these restaurants are in the San Antonio area.
Well, it is Bill Miller's! I had fried chicken. My wife had their chicken sandwich. She said it was real good and brought half of it home. Their fried chicken is always good! Only issue: I asked for coleslaw instead of fries. Well, I got fries. However, they quickly corrected that, and I had coleslaw. The staff was friendly and in a good mood! They were cleaning up to close, and everyone seemed to be in a good mood. All in all, we had a good meal, and the $$ were right considering the high prices everywhere. Will eat here again.
The food was on point. The chicken was very good and fries cooked right. Little lack in attention. Took a little long to get acknowledged and waited on, though 5 people saw me. Out of pickles and onions at the cold bar. Not that big of a deal. They tended to it immediately,,,after being brought to their attention.
They were very accommodating for my service animal. But my chopped beef sandwich could have been sucked up with a straw it was so runny it wouldn't even stay on the bread. Probably just an off day. But I will tell you the staff is absolutely amazing and very nice.

Too many tables uncleaned no where to sit because dirty tables. Floor not sweeped quick pick up cleaning not done n ladies bathroom needs to be checked n swept every 2 Hours your teenager worker are not moving
When I placed my order I was told they were out of pancakes, so I changed my order. Then it took 17 minutes to get my food. As I waited for my food I noticed several customers come and go, even ordering after me , finishing their meal, and departing. Then I observed an order of pancakes brought out to a customer that also arrived after me. My food was delicious, as usual and the atmosphere was pleasant.
It's hit and miss with Bill Millers. I always order a ( marble ) brisket taco... Some days, brisket is little tough to chew pieces... other times it's delicious and soft.

What can i say, i love love bill miller's. The only issue i have is that this location always get your order wrong or your always missing something. Double check your orders.
Average experience, long wait in drive thru, breakfast tacos were handled a bit roughly. Everything was accounted for, napkins were provided. Cashier in window had decent personality and made smooth transaction. Overall this location is good at providing consistency with good service. Will continue provide my patronage. Try the pies you won't regret it.
The brisket sandwich I had contained a lot of fat that should have been trimmed off.
Y'all really need to work on your drive through problems. You obviously have a speaker problem as you can't get the order straight. We constantly have to repeat ourselves. Then we're told it'll be 15 minutes wait. No problem. We finally got our order around 30 minutes later. When you tell someone to park out front and there is NO parking left out front to wait, and NONE designated for drive through, it becomes a joke watching the people bring out orders to people when they have NO clue who they're looking for. Watched a guy spend 5 minutes walking all over trying to give out an order. He must have asked the same people more than once if it was their order, going back in and coming back out just to ask the same people. Here's a couple suggestions for you; write down the color of the car, or maybe what kind of car. Here's an even better one; how about ask for a NAME for the order. Wow, problem solved! I understand you get busy, but be a problem solver, not part of the problem. The lady next to us said she wouldn't be back because of the fiasco. As a footnote, we ordered 8 carne guisada and got three bean and cheese instead of all carne guisada. Not sure how that one can get messed up. Nowhere did bean and cheese ever get mentioned by us. I spent a premium price for tacos i didnt get. No hot sauce or bbq sauce either. Thanks so much. I wont ever order a brisket taco again after that fat filled one you gave me on another order. The dog was happy with it though.
What's the deal with location on SEVERAL different occasions, completely not seasoning their food? I've been to this location 5+ times, always forgetting stuff, not seasoning fries or chicken, or just downright not getting the order right when I tell it to you. I get it's dinner rush, but if you want to make $14 an hour, get the damn stuff down. This is becoming an issue.
Not the best bill miller experience. Wont let you use condiments if you buy a few burritos and a drink. Feels hostile against people who are starting over or switching careers.
I have a short lunch because I come in from the military base nearby. No matter what day of the week I come in here, I have to wait a minimum of ten minutes on the dine in line. It seems that they're more concerned about the drive through customers.. Managers and everyone, walk past us like we don't even exist.

Ordered bbq chicken all dark and received a dried chicken breast. I get it. There's a wing on it but that doesn't make it all dark.
I’ve waited to write this review until I went to this location five separate times. Out of my five trips, I have had fresh tasting meat one time. I keep getting soggy (probably sausage from 72+ hours ago) meat and it’s quite frustrating. It’s edible but not worth $10 in my opinion. I’d take your business elsewhere if you’re hungry. Service is professional and friendly though. I would not recommend this location to others.
long wait in drive-through. food not impressive. prices have risen considerably. lid was not put on my cup properly, when handed to me spilled all over me. after several times of opening their window asked if I would like napkins. I had to ask for everything. Bought a whole pie, when I opened it was missing half the meringue on top and it wasn't on the lid. wonder what happened to it. poor quality.

Got there at @ 815 pm, they had closed dining area and food line one employee in order out area working drive thru and order out waited 15 minutes to long. Was told they were out of pies yet whole lemon pie sitting on back meat counter in front of us. Disappointed at management schedule, Understood they closed at 9 pm yet there was no food available at 815 pm.
I usually don't have any issues at this location but today my daughter in law got me a salad delight since I was working at the home we're supposed to move into soon. My chicken was delicious but my salad wasn't. Had very little cheese and bacon. But that wasn't the problem. Problem was the lettuce was brown in some areas and looked like it was left out in the sun. I picked out what was really bad. Maybe it was just an off day for them.
Drive thru staff was pretty rude (server1001) Told me the price, handed me my food, and closed the window after I said thank you. Pretty sure they should be the ones saying thank you but besides the price she didn’t say anything at all. The food was overall good but instead of fries I received mashed potatoes. Follow up- the manager contacted me and addressed the issue.
I ordered 2 pulled pork sandwiches and 2 cobblers. I waited 45 minutes and the person that took my order asked me if I had ordered pulled pork sandwiches . He went to the back and come back up with the order handed it to me. Never said he was sorry for the wait or explained why it took so long. The sandwiches were not pulled pork. I realize that it was a busy day but 45 minutes is to long to pick up 2 sandwiches.
Didn't have a problem with the food. The problem that I have is employee standards and practices. I went to the ladies room and an employee had exited the restroom ( single person bathroom) before me. I observed a meat thermometer on the toilet roll dispenser. I understand things happen but that to me is unsanitary. Even if you had it in your back pocket and took it out to relieve yourself that's just bad habit and practice to me. So yes eating there was off putting after that discovery and I would question other practices based on that find. I did notify an employee of the thermometer being left behind. I doubt there will be any change or consequences to this as the person I spoke with was the same person that left it behind.
Decent cheap food if too lazy to go to HEB with less than mediocre service what else should you expect.
I had to wait 15 minutes for one bucket of tea no ice. I work in the area, so I’m at this location frequently. This is the slowest Bill Miller I’ve ever been to. I used to work for them when I was in high school and at that time the standard was quality, fast service. This was anything but.
I gave 2 stars overall even tho everything else is 5 stars so yall are aware that your app says cart is empty when you go to check out. Can't order on the app. This location did nothing wrong. Hoping this reaches someone at the top to fix yalls app.
I have TRIED to give this location chance after chance but this is the last chance Today ordered the chicken strip combo,hash browns instead of fries. The gravy was half full. The hash browns were old and dry. Seriously! I know the employee that scooped them into the cup saw how they looked! Yet no one could say something. I will continue with bill Miller just not this location. The other times mistakes were made with the order,missing items and overcooked food. Seems management needs to train people or look over the food on the line.

Today I went through the drive through and asked if it was to early to order a Salad. I was told Yes I could get one and was so happy - so imagine my surprise when I go to eat it on my lunch hour and see that it had to have been left over from yesterday. This place has really taken a dive over the last couple of years. Simple salad was provided with all burnt chicken pieces, breakfast tacos have also been overcooked (how's that possible?!) Service from staff is very unfriendly. More about get the customer out rather than take care of the customer and our brand. Disappointing.
Our food cost 65 three meat plate and the brisket was tough and so fatty after we said lean. Ribs also were pink seems not done I had to put in air fryer. Brisket seemed it wasn't cool as well. Was tough normally it just melts in the mouth. We chewed and chewed was awful experience.
The staff were rude as heck. Server was a smart gave us a hard time. A staff member cut in line in front of my wife so he could order his lunch. Few other things from staff members that just didn't seem professional. Not sure what was wrong with everyone that day. But won't be going there again.
We had our food delivered and we had stuff missing (a chicken strip and bbq sauce). Then, one of the chicken strip meals had a strip that looked like a nugget and literally 5 fries. This is terrible for the price I payed for our meals.

Then I was told to pull forward. But to where? I asked because this location parking at the front half is not big so I didn't not want to block traffic and the response was I don't know upfront. Then the kid that brought my food said "you had a number one with the extra crap"... um excuse me this is who Bill Millers wants to be working customer service. (That receipt said bell 1 E). Mind you my extra crap was a bean and cheese taco. When I pulled up there orginally no one was in front of me and one car orginally behind me yet multiple people recieved their orders before mine. But the flat out disrespectful attitudes from both employees was just sad. The manager should be embarrassed that this behavior is allowed. Your employees are a reflection of your leadership and if this is how you choose to run it that's just sad. Then when I tried to call it just rang and rang. I'm extremely disappointed in this company. My family has been going for generations and it seems like it's gone so down hill and now I will not be placing holiday orders as orginally planned and I will be referring friends and family somewhere else. I'm also missing items in my meal.
There is an absolute abundance of crickets in the store. Not outside. Only inside. And it's so off putting. Ordered online and just walked into cricket after cricket. I could understand if they were dying on the outside of the store. But they are only on the inside. Which leads me to believe they are in and around the food. So disgusting.
I've always been a picky eater but bill miller is a restaurant I've enjoyed my whole life. Here lately this location has had minor problem after problem from rude customer service, order mess ups and completely leaving meals out of the order. I wasn't going to write a review because we're all human and have a bad day and/or make a mistake. But now to here they are not being committed to the community and they have a standby tow truck for people going to the event held at Gather... Shame on you Bill Miller.
This is the worst Bill Millers I have ever gone to. The cashier Skyrenee s r was very rude and unprofessional. They forgot to bring me my food. My boyfriend ate his whole plate and went to the restroom and came back and got my food . My food wasn't hot and the chicken was dry and hard. Very unhappy with this customer service and all around customer service UPDATE: I WANTED TO ADD TOO THIS POST AND SAY THAT THE MANAGER DID CONTACT ME AND HE IS AWARE OF WHAT HAPPENED. HE WAS VERY APOLOGETIC ABOUT THE SERVICE I GOT AND VERY PROFESSIONAL. HE ALSO FIXED THE ISSUE I HAD THAT DAY. SO I JUST Wanted TO GIVE AN UPDATE ON THIS REVIEW .
Came here after church, and was disappointed. The lady who greeted us was extremely rude. The staff did not seem like they even wanted to be there. The floor was so sticky and disgusting. The food was so greasy and not worth the money.
I went in on Monday April 15th and the girls in the front were amazing. I saw Manager running around helping people, the only thing the really upset me was the girl on the chicken area, making chicken orders, was cussing loud and being really loud and shouting. I heard the manager get after her but when he left she went back to being herself..
I go to this location all the time since I work close by. I’ve brought this to management and multiple employees attention that their drive through does not pick up larger trucks. It becomes very inconvenient when you have to go up to the window and order then wait an extra 10-15 minutes for your food because my order wasn’t taken at the drive through menu. We all have time limits for lunch so Please fix this issue I can’t be the only one with this problem.

I had a very unpleasant service yesterday 4/17/2022 at 6:17 pm my order number was: 233. After I had ordered the young man that was taking my order asked if I would like a whole pie for half price. I was like Wow ok I’m guessing they are closing early due to the Easter holiday. I pulled up and I asked the girl “I would like 2 pies, 1 lemon meringue, and 1 pecan pie.” And she told me the total. I asked her “Aren’t the pies half priced?” She said no they are discounted. So, I asked for the manager because the young man taking my order said half price and I wanted to know the price and get it cleared up with the manager. And I asked her “Can I speak to the manager?”. She didn’t completely closed the window to her drive through. Than I heard in a loud obnoxiously “UGH!, Oh my God!!” and a young man with the aqua shirt approached the window “Can I help you?” I immediately asked him about the pies, that I was being quoted two different prices and he said “No, they are discounted.” By than I would have just left it alone. But I knew it was him that obnoxiously said “UGH!, Oh my God!” Because it sounded the same as when he was talking. I mean seriously I told him I heard it. And frankly that is not a way to be acting as a manager. If he cannot do his job according on speaking to customers on a daily basis then he idk why he is a manager. But even if the pies where discounted I would had paid that. Because I told the girl in drive through I go ahead and take them and let me speak to your manager. I still wasn’t charged for the pies, and plus I ordered 3 teas and I was only charged for two. We hardly come here, and we love Bill Millers, my husband works on base and was working 13 hours of Clinicals this weekend. We wanted to end the day with BBQ and instead we got a sour taste of an experienced. I hope no one else goes through this.
Worked all day was STARVING ordered the chicken salad didn’t know I would receive chicken uncooked feet.. I will give BM a break. I actually call the manager to inform them of this less than stellar salad. She was apologetic over the phone I had to let her see what was served I drive the chicken feet back to its rightful owner. I did receive replacement meal however; I couldn’t get the image out of my head.
One of the worst food experiences I have ever had. Under cooked food. Staff are absolutely terrible. You could hunt and cook your own food faster than they can make it. It's called fast food not slow food.

At the drive through I felt rudeness but I said no maybe youve had a long 9 hour shift with a non verbal autistic 18 year old big male. I’m sitting down to eat at 9pm and the chops I got (6of them) every single one hard. In tears cause I obviously didn’t have time to make dinner she told me to have a blessed day I really thought she meant it. I know I’m wrong. She was judging. Last few times we've been here we've had to pull up and "wait". Each time we wait and wait and finally go on to check on our order and it's just sitting there getting cold. Three times in a row. Next time will be the last time.
We have been going here for the longest time, because my husband is addicted to the coffee! The service, as far as attitude has always been great, no complaints there! This morning I ordered 6 tacos, along with a few drinks and came home with a lot more. Never questioned the price, because I understand inflation has affected everyone. Initially, I thought all the tacos in the box, were bean and cheese, but I was wrong, I admit that. Now, however I realized I was charged for 6 tacos, that I never ordered, and nobody wanted. They are always so rushed at the drive through, and you can barely understand what they are saying. Again, inflation has affected everyone, I dont mind paying for what I order, but I should be able to trust that I'm not charged for things I did not order!!!
I ordered the most simple meal available after a long days work to enjoy. Was not anything close to the experience I expected or hoped for. I order a wild bill and 1 piece chicken breast and asked for extra sauce and butter. I left a generous tip to the window attendant and still had to wait over 15min for not even my complete order. I am baffled and disappointed as I only wanted a proper warm meal after a long and hot day at work. Thank you for the meal but also very disappointed and doubtful I’d ever want another experience like this in my life.
Where is the meat on my sandwich? I paid 8.00$ for a chopped bbq sandwich, I didn’t pay 8.00$ for a bun, onions and pickle! Like this is ridiculous! And almost every bill Miller’s in town does this so don’t feel bad. It used to be a favorite but not anymore. That’s sad for Texas bbq. I will give every bill Miller’s I’ve tried in San Antonio a 1/10. Very sad
The service at this place has really been going downhill. I ordered 2 #4's. When I got to my kid's school I noticed they gave me 2 #2's. I call and tell them about the mix up and they acted as if they don't care. They tell me to bring back the order and they'll change it. Well what is my child suppose to eat or lunch if I bring it back? Smh. I'd give zero stars if I could. You just lost a weekly customer. 👎🏽
Our car broke down in front of this location at night and even after speaking to the manager and being assured it was okay to leave our vehicle parked there overnight and have it towed to a shop in the morning we returned to find our vehicle gone. They had it towed anyway and it cost us over 300 dollars to get it back, absolute robbery. Worst experience I’ve ever had and they were absolutely no help and had no concern for our situation.
You can be waiting in line and the workers will walk right past you without acknowledgement. I'm guessing half of them didn't get raised right because even a simple nod of "I'll be right with you" will do.
Customers here are great people because of the community , but the staff here is the worst staff. They are not nice at all, rude loud, and obnoxious. They made us feel extremely unwelcome 12/23/26 at 9:30AM, Dined in.
I placed an order for two Brisket Baker Specials and was told by the cashier that the potatoes were being made fresh, so it would be about a 9–10 minute wait. I pulled up to the front as instructed, but after 30 minutes of waiting, I noticed at least eight other customers going in and leaving with their food. When I went inside to check on my order, the staff seemed confused and unconcerned, more focused on closing than resolving the issue. Eventually, someone told me that my order had been given to another customer by mistake. When I asked how much longer it would take to get my food, I was told they would have to start over. At that point, I asked for a refund. The manager’s response was dismissive and lacked any real empathy or accountability. The apology I received felt dry and insincere — not at all what I’d expect from someone in a leadership position. This experience was extremely disappointing, and it reflects poorly on your service standards and management training
This was the worse experience I ever had. I ended up leaving before getting my food. The lady who took our order spoke with attitude and rolled her eyes when we spoke to her. I was taken back at first and thought if we continued to speak nice to her, should would switch up the attitude. She did not. After hearing the way she rudely asked my mom “what do you want” we left immediately. I wouldn’t let people I know speak to me or treat me that way. I went in for a service I was going to pay for, and that was how I was treated. I will never be going back to this location ever again.
eat here if you want the manager to chase you down in the parking lot after you just ate with your group of 4 . He could have simply came out and said “hey fellas are yall planning on parking here after you finish eating? would you mind going to another parking lot because we need the space” even though the parking lot can hold at least 50 cars and there were about 6 there i don’t hear this conversation and left my truck and they towed it 2 hours and 332$ later we got the truck back. is this how you treat weekly customers??? won’t be eating there again
We eat at this location at least once a month sometimes every week. It’s our meeting location to play golf at Randolph. Sign says customer parking and employee parking only. Well we are a customer. Upon loading up and pulling out a manager bolted out the back door and told us “you can’t park here” I told him we were customers and he said he doesn’t care. One of my friends was in the very back of this huge lot that was empty and he left his truck. Mind you we do this every week and no one has ever said a word and the one guy who did was a complete jerk about it. The sign says customers and employees only. We were a customer. Now we have a 500 towing bill and a two hour delay in my day. If you want horrible management and a chance they will tow you I’d suggest going somewhere else. We will not be giving bill miller out weekly business any longer.
The food at this location is subpar…they could do better. My chicken was partially burned…the onions were DISGUSTING! They did not make them correctly. They were barely stocked…we had trouble finding little containers for sauce and lids! To make matters worse the restaurant was filthy..like the counters where you order were covered in a dirty water film. I was surprised by that because Bill Miller usually does a great job at cleaning. Also, the restrooms are a joke…I barely sat down and I hurt myself on the toilet paper holder…what idiot decided it was a good idea to put them so close? Bill Miller, obviously someone does not know how to work inventory here. Also, I like conversations and fun at work, but not giggling and being loud and acting like no one else is dining…Please act professional…these associates are hurting your business.
