Our waiter Doug was awesome! Very attentive to my Gluten Intolerant Mother-in-Law, very knowledgeable of the dishes and which to recommend. We had fun and he was a laugh! The food was also great!! My jambalaya was less spicy to a perfect level after requesting less spice. The portions are very generous, non of us finished our plates. Drink refills were always full, filled before requesting! We would all recommend eating here on your Universal trip!!
The food here is absolutely delicious! Our server, Chelsea, is incredible! She’s phenomenal and did an amazing job training another server. She showed her the ropes and made sure everything was running smoothly. I highly recommend this restaurant, and I hope you get to experience Chelsea as your server.
We stopped by this last weekend while on our Universal vacation. We were seated right away with our Landry's card and greeted by the restaurant manager. The food was better and faster than I expected. I had the Alabama Pasta and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Both were delicious. Theming in the restaurant is great. It was very clean and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Our waiter, PJ, was amazing. Very attentive, quick, friendly and conversational. He even played a round of Forrest Gump trivia with our table and our neighbors. Highly recommend. We will definitely return on our next visit to the area.
Huge shoutout to Chelsea at Bubba Gump—hands down the best server I’ve ever had. From the second I sat down, she was on it: friendly, quick, and somehow made the whole meal feel like a little event instead of just dinner. She knew the menu inside and out, checked in at the perfect times, and kept everything moving without ever feeling rushed. I had the jambalaya, and it was fantastic—hot, flavorful, and exactly what I needed—but honestly, Chelsea’s service was the real highlight of the night. If you end up at Bubba Gump, do yourself a favor and ask for her. She made the whole experience memorable.
We had an amazing experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. today. Sean was our server. Amazing sense of humor and very attentive. Paid attention to details. Our food was incredibly delicious. Portions are perfect.
Great atmosphere, friendly service, and yummy food! Adrien, our gastronomy guide, was attentive and fun! The blackened shrimp app with garlic bread was savory and surprisingly spicy. The ribs were fall-off-the-bone tender with a sweet and tangy sauce.
Our waitress did movie trivia with the tables and I like the blue/red table service. Blue if all good and Red if you need something. I did have a crab shell in my stuffed shrimp which happens. A little bland on the dishes. The chips and queso and shrimp cocktail were my favorites.
Don’t let the line scare you. If you are a Laundry Club member you can make a reservation online through their app and then whe the host asks you to come inside you can skip the regular line and go next to the laundry select line indicated on the floor sticker and head to VIP seating. Even without signing up for the club the tables turn pretty quickly so wait it out. The memorabilia throughout the restaurant with the movie theming is an immersive experience. If you are lucky enough to be able to request Doug as your server you are in for a treat. He’s a Forrest Gump expert not to mention has been here for 14 years. He is witty, fun, helpful especially when accommodating our family of 5 after a long day at the park. Doug is “the guy” who will take care of you and make sure everything goes off without a hitch while attending to whatever you might need. So go see “the guy” Doug when you stop by. Get his autograph, give him a high five, shake his hand, just let him know you “heard” about him and how “fabulous” he is. That being said for a restaurant to have an employee for 14 years means they are doing something right. Now the food! Oh my goodness the food is made fresh to order and out of this world. The crab and shrimp boil is an amazingly filling, and fun to devour not to mention messy entree. Not the first time we’ve ordered it so that means it’s worth it. Every time it’s worth it. The choice of Cajun or garlic? Well why choose ask for both flavors and you will be in for an explosion of flavor treat. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co. Universal Studios also offers either your laundry points or annual pass holder discount. We all love perks. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co Universal City Walk has a great menu. I know I’ve practically convinced you of the boil but don’t pass up some of the other items. Of course some fried pickles to start is always a fan favorite and is enough to share. It’s big tin plate filled with fried pickles and comes with some ranch for dipping. Start there. Also grab yourself a Jenny’s blonde ale like I did and enjoy a crisp cold beer on draft that is exclusive to Bubba’s and pairs well with all of the seafood. I opted for the Lt. Dan drunken shrimp and it was delicious. The shrimp were grilled and Smokey and the andouille sausage had the right kick not to mention the polenta was cooked perfectly. I mean I don’t make polenta but I loved a little comfort food when the rain storm kicked up outside. Kids meals. Let’s talk kids. Bubba Gump Shrimp Co Universal City Walk knows kids as they should. The kids meals come on an adorable paper boat and have a variety of options. From pizza to tenders there is something for every kid. Forrest Gump is an endearing movie that creates a warmth for family and acceptance and hospitality. Our Server Doug embodied all of that. The hospitality extended was great extension of the bubba Gump culture and spirit. So don’t double think it. Step on in and be in for a treat. Go see “the guy” Doug and he will take care of you. Everyone needs “a guy” the one they can depend on and Doug will make sure you have a dining experience that will be one of the most memorable of your vacation. Tell him I sent you. Carrie and Kourtney were great servers, bubbly, fast, and offered great suggestions. The food was delicious. Prices were reasonable, especially for the alcohol drinks!
Our experience at Bubba Gump was fantastic!!! Our servers were Alex and Mars, and let me tell you, they were stars! My husband and I had spent all day at Universal Studios on Monday, so you can imagine how hungry we got. When we arrived we quickly got taken care of! My husband has food intolerances and Alex was so kind to make sure his drink was made with his accommodations. We all learned that we are from the same Midwest city, small world! The sign that you flip over to signal to the servers you needed something was always carefully watched! Mars and Alex were super attentive to see what we needed (even when we forgot to flip the sign back over😅). It was as if the second I flipped it they were standing at the end of our table asking how they can help us! They were both super caring, friendly, and helpful, and they deserve the recognition for their fantastic service! Thank you 2 for making the beginning of my husband and I’s honeymoon wonderful🩷 P.S- food was wonderful, we started with the hushpuppies… BEST hushpuppies I’ve ever had. We decided to share the seafood boil and both the Cajun and garlic seasoning was so good. The atmosphere and decor is so cool and has a lot of character to it! We were recommended by our family and we definitely will be returning the next time we visit😊
There are Forrest Gump themed decorations every where. Absolutely enjoyable as a fan of the movie. Service was great. The server was fun and easy to talk to. He even gave us a round of Forrest Gump Trivia. Super fun. Food was amazing. Strongly recommend the Jenny’s salmon and shrimp. We had a blast.
Yasmin was AWESOME! Me and my mom came for a early dinner for a break before one of the last shows at Universal and had the best time here! We were both celebrating and we both got a yummy dessert! Wonderful service and a fun place to sit. I got the Shrimp Scampi and my mom got the New Orleans shrimp. If you’re going to spend money on dinner at the parks may as well come to a great spot would totally recommend.
Having travelled from the UK to Florida we had never been to a Bubba Gump before. There was a 20 minute wait but our phone number was taken and message sent when the table was ready, food was incredibly delicious and service from Melanie was friendly and made us laugh. Thank you for a wonderful first experience! (Also - there is a shrimp on the Bloody Mary cocktail!)
Many people will say Bubba Gump is a tourist trap restaurant. I say those people have never really tried it. The food.. top notch! The service.. top notch! I would still enjoy going here even if it had nothing to do with the movie. Our waiter did a great job recommending an entree and drink! This may sound like a weird drink but you have to try the blackberry frozen margarita! Wow!! I will definitely be getting another one of these when I come back! For anyone wondering, the first picture is the bourbon st mahi mahi and shrimp. The other picture is Forrest's seafood feast.

Jessy was extremely kind, attentive, and careful when guiding us through safe menu options for our son, who has a milk allergy — this level of care truly makes a difference for families. The portions are generous, the food arrived quickly, and everything was absolutely delicious. An excellent experience from start to finish. We had an amazing experience at Bubba Gump, and a huge part of that was our server, Tracey! The restaurant was incredibly busy, yet she never missed a beat. She was attentive, friendly, and made sure everything we needed was taken care of without us ever feeling rushed or forgotten. What really made the experience stand out was how engaging she was; she even did Forrest Gump trivia with our table, which was such a fun and memorable touch. It’s clear she genuinely enjoys what she does, and that energy made our visit even better. Excellent service, great attitude, and a fun personality, Tracey truly went above and beyond. We went to the restaurant for dinner and were served by Marcus, in a wonderful atmosphere. The food was perfect, and the service was even better. Marcus is friendly, made us feel at home, and was very kind. We will definitely come back many more times just because of the service — we were truly impressed.
Wow, wow and wow!!! We have been in Orlando for just under 2 weeks now, and we did some research before we left home, about recommended places to eat. Some of these places have really failed to deliver, but Bubba Gump, definitely isn't one of them. Adrian, our server was brilliant from the get go. Really bubbly, attentive and passionate about what she was doing, she was really engaging with us. We ordered 2 mains which were absolutely fantastic! Fresh, beautifully cooked and really pleasant on the eye, they were a delight to eat. Our side of onion rings were light and definitely not stodgy. Likewise, our dessert of strawberry shortcake was sensational. Overall 10/10. Please open in England (north-east please).
First time coming! Keila was our server she was great! She was knowledgeable and gave great suggestions. She made the experience so fun by calling us family and saying stop Forrest stop when we would flip our sign. Overall great time and delicious food!
Christina was a great server! Very attentive, informative and super sweet. Fun to do the trivia!! Although got a few wrong. Haha Loved having this experience, it was our first time (my husband and i) and we would definitely come back! We had the shrimp and crab leg boil - so good!! 😋
The location was great, I got to pretend I was at Disney without actually visiting. The atmosphere was nice families were enjoying themselves and even the staff enjoyed (at least we think) their job. Marcus was running around serving up amazing lobster rolls and fries like he makes those Boba pearls himself. We didn't wait at all it was almost like Forest Gump was cooking in the kitchen. I enjoyed my time there and would definitely come back again and recommend Marcus as your wait staff. Although they really need to stock up on more Boba pearls! They should offer chocolates with your bill like olive garden or cute boxes of chocolates in the gift shop too.
Cute restaurant and the food was pretty good, also came out super fast. Loved all the Forrest Gump memorabilia around the restaurant. Our waiter was great and attentive. A little pricey but you should expect that at a theme park.
The service was absolutely awesome!! My daughter and I sat at the VIP Landry's table. And they truly made us feel like VIP's Thanks Bubba Gump staff for making us feel welcomed and enjoying in some laughter with us. The food & drinks were amazing! 😋We will definitely be back.😉😊
Had a wonderful experience when we visited about a month ago. Our favorite restaurant at the citywalk, went there twice during our visit. The food was delicious and fresh. The standout was the shrimp bucket, we had the flavors mixed and just the garlic butter, and both times they were delicious. The strawberry shortcake was an awesome dessert too, recommended by our server Taylor. She served us both times and provided wonderful services. We enjoyed chatting with her and she was very considerate to make sure we had room for desserts after our dinner before placing the order them. She also impressed us with her cup stacking, very cool👌
We stopped at Bubba Gump Shrimp during my birthday trip to Universal, and Carrie and Mikaela went above and beyond to make it special. They surprised me with a birthday dessert I wasn’t expecting, which truly made my day and made me feel younger than I am! As a former food service manager, I really appreciate excellent service, and these two delivered top notch. I never once had to look for them—they were always attentive and made sure everything was perfect. I highly recommend asking for Carrie and Mikaela when you visit!
We come here every year and the experience has been brilliant! Forest Gump is one of our favourites films and Bubba Gumps certainly immerses you in that world. This time around we had Chelsea as our server, she was superb, really friendly and tested our knowledge on the movie! She also persuaded me to have a side shot of an orange liquor with my cocktail. The food was really tasty and came out really quick. If you’re going I recommend that Florida staple, the key lime pie!
Just like other Bubba Gump locations, this one is big and has plenty of seating, so we didn’t really have to wait this time. The food is solid overall, but I’d recommend improving the shrimp roll—it would be so much better if the bread was toasted with a bit more butter. That way it wouldn’t get soggy once the shrimp salad goes in.
Melanie was our server she was amazing! Helped us choose the best food and was always there when we needed anything. Honestly such an awesome meal I highly recommend eating here. From start to finish was superb!!
We visited this restaurant two times, 2024 and 2025. This time we brought some friends and Davida was our server and she was amazing! She was friendly, caring and efficient. Food was delicious and came out fresh and hot. We had such a great time. 100% recommend 👌
Seafood? 10 Ribeye? also 10 fries? a bit more crunchy would be nice but 8/10 Our server Melanie was so nice! She made sure we well-fed and happy with our order, and very attentive even though the restaurant is packed. Would come again!
