I’ve been to True Texas BBQ more times than I can count, and every single I’m given amazing service and delicious food. On my most recent visit, I ordered the seasonal birria ramen for the first time and was greeted by Tanner. His customer service was so great I asked if he was the manager lol. It was top-notch and the birria ramen was a 10/10, as expected. I’ll definitely be back. Thank you, Tanner, for providing such a great experience and for making sure customers receive amazing food every time.

HEB was out of the beef so we had pulled pork nachos instead, ( we prefer pulled pork) and they were amazing! If you like pulled pork nachos HEB has good nachos and the sweet peach tea is great also.

So my wife and I are about to check out and Bryan our cashier, out of now where, says “hold on guys, I think we maybe able to bring your tab down a bit let me check to see if the promotion is still running”. Sure enough the promotion was still available and he helped us save a few dollars. The point is he DID NOT HAVE TO, but the fact that he went out of his way, speaks volumes about his kindness and willingness to help two complete strangers. Great sides and selection of meat. I ordered a meat plate and and a drink. The plate came with two nice sides but only one slice of brisket. It was a large slice but seemed fairly skimpy for a $20 lunch. Food quality was very good. Atmosphere is nice and clean. It’s in a grocery store so I didn’t expect much and it definitely exceeded my expectations.

Loaded potato was smaller than other bbq joints but still just as expensive. Food quality was good, nothing to write home about, but base line good. Was very clean and over staffed. Nice separation from the grocery store.

The turkey, mac n' cheese, and brisket were amazing. My family and I ordered the "family of 4 meal" and they didn't give us any plates. So we had to ask, and they forgot about the bread and we still payed because we didn't want to start a fight. But I liked how ALL the employees had a bonnet, (the clear ones) so there hair doesn't get in the food. And it actually come really quickly.

“Special (limited-time)” Brisket Ramen is nothing more than a Tapatio Birria microwave noodle bowl… the advertisement doesn’t mention that at all… They should do better, the rest of their food is really good and you get what you expect.

Good BBQ is hard to find. The only thing I did like was the okra. I didn’t like any of the meat I ordered. I ordered the pork sandwich, turkey, brisket and a few ribs to taste. The seasoning was overwhelming, way too much packed on. The ribs were full of fat, the sandwich was full of seasoning and a little dry. My husband said the turkey and brisket were ok. I will not be back unless I want okra. They do give you a good amount.

I ordered through the drive thru with NoahS. I pulled to the window smiled and said hello, Noah said nothing just grabbed my card for payment. When Noah handed me my card I said thank you, again smiling, Noah closed the window and turned away. I visit various HEB locations in the Frisco and Prosper area often ; and this is the very first time anyone has been so rude. The low rating is for the poor customer service.

Everything is awesome here (when it’s here), but they haven’t had the baked potato the last THREE times we’ve been. It’s inside HEB…how are there no potatoes??? Would be five stars otherwise.

I ordered delivery through the app they recommend on their website. Delivery itself was fine, but the food was disappointing overall. Several items were missing, and what did arrive felt like leftovers. The beans I ordered were mostly liquid with very few actual beans. The peach cobbler was overcooked and dry with just a couple of peach slices mixed in. I never even received the banana pudding I paid for. The meats were fine, nothing to rave about, and the potato salad was good if you like mustard-based recipes. I personally enjoyed it, but it’s definitely not for everyone. Between the missing items and the mediocre quality, this just wasn’t worth the price. I probably won’t be ordering from True Texas Barbecue again.

I purchase a baked potato and it was cold, when ask if they had a microwave to re-heat it, they said no, but didn't offer another way to heat it. The cheese wasn't even melted.

I’ve ordered from True Barbecue multiple times—delivery orders—and every single time, my food arrives with no barbecue sauce. I even put it clearly in the special notes: “Please don’t forget the barbecue sauce.” Each time I call, I speak with employees or a manager. I get an apology. I’m told it won’t happen again. I’m told it will be fixed. And then it happens again. This is a barbecue restaurant. How does barbecue leave the building with no barbecue sauce? Once or twice is a mistake. Six times is a pattern. I was told this might be a corporate issue. It’s not. Corporate isn’t packing the bags. The responsibility lies with the people in that restaurant. There’s clearly a breakdown in attention to detail and follow-through. The food itself is good—but consistently missing a core item makes the entire experience frustrating and disappointing. I really want this place to do better, but after six times, it’s hard to keep giving chances.

Worst Thanksgiving turkey I've ever had! I paid just over $70 even with the $5 coupon for a seasoned smoked 12 pound turkey to have for Thanksgiving 2025. It was presented and handed over to me in a very nice True Texas BBQ catering bag. Took it home and immediately took out carving knife to slice it up but I was having difficulty cutting because how hard the meat was. I took a sample bite and couldn't believe how dry it felt in my mouth and took about a minute to chew small enough to swallow, like chewing rubber off a tire! Even the seasoned turkey skin was like chewing a piece of that True Texas BBQ catering bag! The only way I could salvage this turkey for a more enjoyable meal I had to chop all the meat up and throw it in a prepared gumbo mix type soup and soften it up in a crock pot for about an hour!
