Excellent food! Hard to find a good restaurant in Boise that doesn't cut corners and that actually makes everything (or almost everything) in-house. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Service was also great!

Prices for dinner were a bit on the high side, and food was good but not fantastic. The desserts however were Amazing and relatively cheap. Ambiance was nice too. Would go back time and again just for dessert!

A dear friend of mine took me to this restaurant. She ordered a few of her favorite Basque items. We ordered the Croquetas, the grilled peppers, and Paella with the homemade chorizo. I loved every bit of it. Very delicious. I would say my favorite was the peppers. I could eat those all day! The restaurant is in the heart of downtown Boise, in an old building. It gives it an old world feel with tons of charm!

The food was excellent, the service was on time and the waitress was friendly and helpful. We tried the BLT, the chorizo sandwich, and the crispy fish sandwich. All of them were very tasty. I recommend them all.

Solid basque and Spanish food with a short (but good) wine and cocktail list. Portions were super generous. We sat upstairs which was quiet and spacious. Loved the Basque cheesecake!

This was the best dinner food we had during our week-long stay in Boise! We ordered a filet mignon dinner and a lamb shank dinner—both were delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection and one of the best tasting ones I’ve had in a restaurant in a long time. Add to this a huge salad with homemade dressing and lots of toppings, along with some of the best croquettes I’ve had in this country, and this was a definite win for us. I would highly recommend it to others!

This isn't related to the restaurant. I had a traditional red beans dish from the past country and it was absolutely delicious. My husband had a filet mignon And it was delicious also. I would go there to it anytime, food is outstanding. Service is good too. I prefer the upstairs.

Went twice during Jaialdi season. We had apps and wine the first time, the croquettes were very similar to the ones I’ve had in Spain and the garlic shrimp was very good. The second time we went in for sangria when there was a live band and it was a really festive atmosphere.

Very good food! The Braised lamb shank was fall off the bone tender and the lamb chops had amazing flavor. Best restaurant lamb ever! The Manchego cheese sauce was unexpectedly delightful. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive, even during the busy Saturday evening of Jaialdi! I highly recommend you give this Basque favorite a try! Basquo approved for sure!

Went for their prix fixe Valentine's menu and it was perfect! Service was excellent and attentive, food was exceptional (as always). The red wine poached pear was divine and not too sweet, the crab cake was a real treat, salads were generous and delicious. Entrees (lamb shank and lobster paella) were fantastic. I'll always recommend this place for either the fancier upstairs option or the more low key downstairs space (the fries with squid ink aioli are ridiculous, I'm obsessed, husband loves the steak sandwich).

Love Basque food from northern Nevada so I tried this place when I was in town. Had the lamb chops which were very tasty. A little pricey for $45 and wished the portion was bigger. But very good flavor and cooked just right!

A great basque restaurant in the basque district downtown. They have except food I would especially recommend the patatas bravas for the table. Great place to have a meal and a drink though being downtown it is going to run you a little more but it's a fair price for the quality.

While in Boise for business, grabbed dinner at this location, Basque inspired food. Sat at the bar. I had the croquetas as a starter the. The Solomillo (filet) with vegetables. Overall had a positive experience and food was very good. Did not stay at the hotel.

Had dinner this weekend. Overall, good dinner good service We had an issue with the steaks being Cooked correctly. After cutting into the steaks, we just moved them around the table to best suit the individuals at the table. A good restaurant always checks on the meal and steaks within the first few minutes after delivering to the table not 10 minutes after arriving at the table Also, we had to ask for water twice.

We had a banquet here, food is served family style at the banquet. For me, that means they bring a large platter of food and you share it with your table mates by dishing a portion onto your plate, like you would with your family. The fries were a surprise, but good, green bean dish very good and the meat tender and tasty. Your experience could be different depending on the menu and what you might order. I believe the restaurant had a Basque background, so influenced by hard work tending to sheep in the country. Service was very good. I would go back with my family to try a meal, perhaps, different items, bit was very happy. This is the second time I have ate here and it was consistent to the previous experience.

It’s been a while since we ate here. This is an older historic restaurant and hotel that has been a staple for the Basque population. The inside is beautiful and had historic all around the inside. We had a poor experience with was a shame. A waiter that could have cared less if we were there or not. That was when this place was on an older management that is no longer there and that is a good thing. So guess we need to try then again.

Plenty of better food at other joints in boise. We had the soggy calamari and bland lamb shank.

I feel like I just wasted $110. Got the diner for "Taste of Boise" and both meals were just straight up bad. The steak was 30% gristle and it was pure grey on the inside. I ordered medium rare. My wife got the fish and was very disappointed. Food was bland and greasy. It felt like home cooking on a Tuesday night using dollar store ingredients. Even the desserts were poorly done and was nothing like a true gateau basque. Tasted like it was like a store brand freezer dessert. Considering how cold mine was it probably was frozen. The server was nice. But seriously, a $47 dollar 3 course should at least be decent. I never waste food but I couldn't eat the steak, it was making me sick. Just super disappointed. We typically don't treat ourselves to $50 meals so this hurts even more. Serious let down. Edit to answer the reply: Ive tried it in France, where my wife is from an my in-laws still live. Made in-house or not, it was very very cold, damn near frozen and missed the mark by a decent bit.
