Being from Texas, I haven't found but one other Mexican spot (that was in San Diego) that was anywhere close to authentic and as tasty. The guys are always super friendly and food always comes out fresh and fast. 100% recommend the pozole.
We really like their food. You get what you ask for, without the taste being "masked" with a lot of condiments. The food, is not bland or insipid. It's just very tasty, al natural. I personally prefer knowing what the meat tastes like and then having the condiments to enhance its flavor. It makes for a complete experience for your palate. The caballeros working there are always very polite. The decor and ambiance might be simple, but who cares? It's not about where you eat, but what you eat. Oh, and the prices will not scare away your appetite. The only thing missing there, is you:)
I eat at El Patron often. I live nearby. The food and service are very good. They have a very large selection of dishes, and the prices are reasonable. I meet friends here because we can carry on a conversation without raising our voices. I sometimes eat here alone, and bring something to read, because they are never in a hurry to rush me out the door. I feel at home here.
I grew up here and wanted to go to my childhood favorites Murillos or Vasquez's they were both closed (Easter ). We came here instead. I will keep coming back. The food was FABULOUS. The service was great.. If you have a chance go get some GOOD food. If I could 10 star 🌟 I would..
Great food . Always quality and friendly service. Love to support my local businesses. Pastor wet burrito is so good. Very affordable and owners/staff are great . Just want to add another great meal from El patron. Truly a staple of Vacaville
Good service. Friendly and welcoming staff. Generous portions. Good authentic flavors. I had a taco salad and a taco w/ al pastor, son had a chimichanga and wife had an enchilada plate. All were very good. Inexpensive too. Will likely return.
Very friendly, food tastes great, and it takes no time for it to be made. Nearly all, if not all of the staff can speak both Spanish and English. Their service is top notch, they have a variety of salsas, that I believe are all made there. Highly recommend, it is the best Mexican restaurant I have ever eaten at.
This is our go to Mexican place. Unbelievably low prices combined with good ingredients. They also have many vegetarian options, which is what we like. My favorite is the vegetarian tacos. These are somewhat rare even in San Francisco. Service is excellent, quick and friendly.
They are open early and close late. A good place when u craving a good taco. My favorite taco place in town. It’s always fresh. The two guys working there are super nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!
Great early dinner with the fam. Street tacos de carnitas were delicious! Recommend asking for the pineapple salsa for the chips.
That $10 super burrito is insane! I couldn't eat over half of it! Holy moly! And the flavor of the chorizo is so amazing! 🔥 food! Just so yum!!!! Oh and the poblano had some zing! Yummy!
Authentic Mexican cuisine served here in a clean and friendly atmosphere. Lots of locals here enjoy daily meals. My wife and I had a wonderful, very tasty meal here today.
We have been stopping here on our way to Bodega Bay for over 10 years. We also stop on our way back from Bodega Bay! It is the best Mexican food I have had and at reasonable prices. They are fast and friendly. And the enchilada sauce is to die for!!
This place is THE most underrated Mexican Food spot in town. every single time I order from here, it seems better than the last! I love this restaurant, and any time I feel like I want some delicious street tacos or a wet burrito to comfort me, the guys here do it the best!
Good food. Saved me from standing in line at the Wetzel Pretzel truck on the 4th of July.
Love coming here. And since turning Vegan last year I still get there Veggie burritos without cheese or sour cream and add the sauce in top so that It's still nice and juicy with lots of flavor! Been coming here for years (:
Favorite local mexican food. Authentic and sooooo flavorful! Totally recommended! Some of our favorite dishes are the pastor tacos, carnitas plate, and carne asada burrito. They also have the jarritos (fruit flavored sodas) which are pretty good.
Great Mexican food. Love the wet burrito, shrimp tacos & chili relano
Loved this place and will definitely go again. We gave the man our orders to go and stood drinking our drinks I had an horchata and he said they don't do refills but since he wanted to see us again he refilled my vip. Not that I needed a refill to go back. The owner was friendly, the chimchangas were a good price as they were pretty big and absolutely divine. I can't wait to go back again
I ordered 4 carne asada tacos. They were priced under $3 a piece and came with chips. Food came quickly and was tasty.
Amazing food for a fair price. The people were also very nice. I would definitely come back. Got the carne asada super burrito. Super filling. Very fresh. Not much of atmosphere but I was there to eat not look at stuff on the wall.
This place is amazing! I come from a family of executive chefs and this place is legit. We moved to Vacaville from Sacramento and needed to find a good spot. We went to a half dozen of the top rated Vacaville Mexican restaurants on yelp and this place not only has the best quality but also the best price! Highly recommend the carnitas super burrito and the carne asada fries. Helpful tip: The hard taco is made for Americanized appeal....lettuce and cheese....soft taco is more authentic....cilantro and onion. We have been here a dozen times and have never had a bad experience!
This place is awesome they have a music video TV to show the music video of the song that's playing. The food is great especially the carne asada fries and the mandarin jaritos (this is the best mix). The service oooooooh, it can be about like a 10 min at least I guess. The atmosphere it just looks like a Mexican restaurant.
My family and I were downtown and craving Mexican food, and we were supposed to go to Los Reyes, but something was telling us to try this spot instead. So we went, and honestly, it wasn't bad at all. The food was delicious and fresh, and the price was decent. Of course, it's not as fancy looking at Los Reyes restaurant, but never judge a book by its cover. I will be coming here again.
I have had their Posole to go now, three times, and after the third time, all being very consistent and great flavor, I wanted to share and make a post. To Go Posole cones with all the fixins (shredded cabbage, onions, chili, lime ) and then you fix your bowl to your liking. Their side chili is definitely a nice add if you like spice and flavor, paired today with Jamica and it was a great lunch, yet again. Price was good, good was great, so if you are in the area and wanting a good bowl of Posole, stop in a give em a try. They have a full menu of many, choices but I can only speak for their posole at the present time. Nice little restaurant, clean, homie feel, friendly staff, fresh food. So next time you around downtown stop and give them a try, until next time, stay safe an Bon Appetite..........
This food was delicious. Everything had so much flavor and it was fresh when it got to our table. The people working were welcoming, while cleaning and checking in on us. The prices were great. We got different food items and everything was on point.
Prices are very fair and the food is very bery good. Real authentic mexican food. Service is great too
A great place for a quick bite. The street tacos are excellent. Homemade salsa bar and free chips.
Nice price. The wet burrito was actually very nice and juicy on the inside good chunks of meat flavorful.
This place is delicious! The pastor is soooo good! The salsa selection is a little small, but everything is quality. Will definitely come back
Fantastic breakfast burritos and open early to get them when you want them. Friendly service and the best fresh red salsa I've ever had
The place was pretty lit. You get a burrito this size with some chips for cheap.
Delicious food, friendly staff, quick service, and clean, spacious restaurant.
One of my favorite burrito spots for quality, size and price. Love stopping here when driving west to the bay.

Tasty 😋 Tacos reasonably priced and free chips & salsa ! Vacaville Hidden 💎 gem !
My favorite go to Taqueria when I want a real style Mexican burrito. Reasonable And great real Mexican food. The best in Vacaville
This is my all-time favorite place to eat! I live across the country now and the last time I visited Vacaville, I brought back 2 Shrimp Super Burritos in a cooler (with the tortilla on the side so it wasn’t soggy). I haven’t had El Patron in over a year now… I would sell my soul for a burrito.

El Patron Mexican Food in Vacaville is a great spot for anyone craving authentic and delicious Mexican cuisine. We visited the restaurant on a slow Sunday afternoon and were pleased with our experience. The menu at El Patron offers a variety of Mexican dishes, from tacos and burritos to enchiladas and fajitas. We ordered the chicken fajitas plate, chicken tostada plate, and bean and cheese burritos. The portions were generous, and the food was flavorful and well-prepared. The chicken fajitas were served sizzling hot with a side of rice, beans, and tortillas. The chicken was juicy and tender, and the peppers and onions were cooked to perfection. The tostada plate was equally delicious, with crispy tostadas topped with beans, chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, and sour cream. The bean and cheese burritos were simple yet satisfying, with a generous amount of beans and cheese wrapped in a soft flour tortilla. We also appreciated the complimentary chips and salsa that were served with our meal. The ambiance at El Patron is casual and inviting, with colorful decorations and friendly staff. The restaurant is family-owned and operated, and the owners take pride in providing their customers with a warm and welcoming dining experience. Overall, El Patron Mexican Food in Vacaville is a great spot for anyone looking for delicious and authentic Mexican cuisine. The food is well-prepared, the portions are generous, and the service is friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend it to anyone in the area looking for a great Mexican restaurant.
Great Burritos and tacos. Did an add-on to my Super Burritos with their delicious shrimp. Great service and friendly staff.

Great Burritos and tacos. Did an add-on to my Super Burritos with their delicious shrimp. Great service and friendly staff.
They gave me cheese enchiladas when I asked for chicken enchiladas. The steak tacos were really good, but the chicken taco was really greasy and the tortilla was completely soaked. I used to work down the street and would come here all the time, but it's just okay now. Go to Tacos Jalisco instead if you are in Vacaville!
Food very bland. Taste like all they did was throw in Pico de Gallo with rice and beans and meat. If you never had authentic, maybe it's good, but food lacks the luster of authenticity. Seems the further North, the more disappointment in Mexican restaurants there is. If taste really doesn't matter, it's just okay. Good restaurants of any kind are so few to come by these days. I'll stick with home cook.
Decent Mexican food in a below average environment. The place is not very well kept and not very clean. You're paying quite a bit for the portions you get as well. The staff were nice and accommodating. I'll give it some time before going back.
Ordered their chili rellenos — the filler sauce has a noticeable kick to it. If you’re a softie when it comes to spicy, you may not enjoy these. Also ordered their large horchata. Good meal, exactly as expected. Food was great. Service was even better.
It was my first time here, and I was not too impressed, to say the least. Great food for the price and meal. It was very nosy and kinda not clean. The food was hot and you could tell it was made to order. The line was moving pretty fast, considering the people dashing in and out. I was told by my friend that this restaurant has been here quite some time. We ordered breakfast trays. I am very confused about the wall decor as well as the TV programming that seems to be idling on 80's songs 🎵 Over all 3 out of 5 stars 💜💜💜🖤🖤 because the food was delicious and very filling.

Wasn't even just "ok". Definitely better Mexican places out there. Should have known being the only one in there at lunch. Salsa was very ordinary, and bland and flautas were dry. Can definitely make better street tacs at home, or go to El Molcajete in Fairfield. Will probably won't go back, just tried it on a whim.
Nothing worse then a taco made with boiled chicken. Now it makes total sense whey the place was empty on Friday. I won’t bother to try anything else if they mess up on a taco. Boooo

Got the lengua tacos and they didn’t have any flavor the only thing i enjoyed was the beans if you’re coming here just for the beans you won’t be disappointed. Also they only had two versions of salsas and one was water.
