Great cake, price and overall experience. The rep at the counter was super helpful (even when the store was busy). The cake tasted awesome (one of my girlfriends who doesn't really eat had 2x pieces!!). The price was reasonable for the taste and design (got to pick from a variety of flavors). So happy to support a small biz!

I ordered a cake 🎂 for my sister in-law for her 80th birthday with gauva filling. It was good however the frosting was extremely sweet. I'm not sure if you can request "Little Sugar" or "No Sugar" I didn't see it it the option section. Guava is her favorite however decided to share most of it to her neighbors. Ordering online was so easy and fast however maybe have options for diabetes or people who don't like a lot of sugar. Valencia is Awesome 👌 Thank you ♥️

I see a few low ratings for Valencia, but truth of the matter is, Valencia isn't your modern day bakery...Valencia has been around for more than 30 Years. Their cakes have a very distinct taste, flavor, and texture. I can pick out a Valencia cake blindfolded. It's not for everyone, but I will say Valencia cakes are always very moist, always have a significant amount of filling (Pineapple is the best), and the Frosting is so incredibly creamy and delicious. Again, it's not for everyone, but if you grew up on Valencia Cakes like I have, then you know 👌

Just like I remember. I’m 45 years old. My parents would buy me Valencia for my birthday as a kid. The other day I thought to myself, it’s not my birthday but I’m buying myself a cake. I was 5yrs old again eating that Valencia cake. Crazy how the mind works. It’s the best cake out there.

The custom cakes are made very well. The customer service was great. The bakery sells ice cream as well. The baked goods were very tasty. We found them on google and decided t try them. A+ we will try to visit again.

The cake 🎂 was absolutely delicious. I asked for the cake to be moist with extra filling, and it was exactly the way I asked for it. I didn't have to travel to the bronx as they delivered it to the Brooklyn valencia store.

I got a Benito cake slice and I was pleasantly surprised with the unique taste, it's good! It tastes tropical, it's fresh, moist, and not so sweet and I love the colors! Usually, these kind of gimmicky collabs are a hit or miss but I do recommend this! Also, it's $7 a slice but it's a big and thick slice so it's worth it. I am impressed with the variety of baked goods and how well packaged everything is. Custom made whole cakes that are not only familiar, the quantity keeps up with quality. Extremely tasty cakes (specially the vanilla custard and red velvet!) and there is bread pudding too! Will be back for sure. Thank you 🙏 🍰🎂

Our cake was for our baby shower and Valencia DID NOT disappoint us!!!! 40 years of Valencia cakes and this was the best ever. My guests reminisced while enjoying our tasty Valencia treat and it was truly the best part of the night.

I placed an order easily on the Valencia website :) I ordered a traditional yellow cake with pineapple filling. I needed to change the color of the buttercream design and contacted chat support, and that interaction was seamless. The day of pick up I was literally in and out. I am a baker myself and usually disappointed by bakery cakes because they are often not fresh or lack any interesting flavor. But when my kid's birthday landed on Benito Bowl Sunday, he really wanted a Benito cake to celebrate so we did. And wow! Even with the super high demand they must have been under for that day, the cake was delicious, with light and fun flavor and perfect Nueva Yol style decoration. As we dug in our birthday kid asked if we could head back to Valencia for our next celebration.

Purchased a cake from here to celebrate a co worker’s bday. Outside of the cake was beautiful ! Only thing…. The cake wasn’t that moist and fluffy. Cake is very sweet but after you eat it, there’s like this brittle taste at the end. I’m not sure what it is. Type of cake Selected: Buttercream Type of filling Selected: Vanilla

So I found out what the other reviews were talking about regarding the taste of these pastries. They may bake them daily, but they are baking these cakes from synthetic cake mixes and synthetic frosting. I know this because I got 3 pre sliced cake squares from them which lists the ingredients which are artificial flavors, artificial colors, high fructose corn syrup, etc. I will try to attach pictures so people can zoom in and read all the ingredients. I decided to give these a taste anyway but unsurprisingly they tasted like chemicals. Even the strawberries tasted like they've been soaked in some type of chemical solution. This is not a real bakery. Stay away guys.

Went for my daughter’s pre-10th birthday. THANKS GOD this is not THE cake. To start that lady who was there 6/16 had a Terrible attitude. Can’t you at least smile? What a downer like it is not our fault you didn’t become a Hollywood actress, smiling is free and improves the overall appearance of the store and customer’s energy. Next time I rather go to either Los Angeles or Princesa. We did not get helium plain balloon because according to her they explode. She didn’t want to deal with that. We told this lady SPECIFICALLY not to give us Pineapple. My daughter happens to be allergic to Pineapple and coconuts. She said she gave us cream. Our horror when we cut the very first slice and this was pineapple. EXACTLY what we said we didn’t want. Some people ate but no the birthday girl. Thankfully we had ice cream. Customer service is everything and in this case was simply horrible.

Really bad experience filling frosting and presentation design was great BUT THE CAKE DOUGH WAS HARD,OLD, BURNED, a combo of all 3 NO MOISTURE TERRIBLE….when I called cake clerk girl semi shouted IMPOSSIBLE!!!…I went from Jersey city to Brooklyn for this cake on a Saturday…NOT FUN

Valencia bakery is a beautiful place. The pastries and cakes look amazing. I've heard so many wonderful things about this bakery, I had to try it. Usually I order cakes from bj's. It's nothing fancy but it's reliable and it always tastes good. I decided this time to try the local bakery. Upon picking up my cake it was beautiful. I knew my child would love it. We sang happy birthday and everyone was excited to get a taste. That's where the disappointment started. Not only did the cake taste old it was nasty. It's one thing to taste a old cake and still be able to taste the flavor. Not in this case. We ended up throwing the cake away and stopping by our old faithful for another cake. Some people love this bakery and swear by it. It just wasn't it for me and my family.

My parents wedding cake was from Valencia- they were married in 1968. My parents passed and my sister and I felt like honoring them with a 1/2 cake to share with the family. I purchased it yesterday, tasted today… it was AWFUL!! What happened!??? The cake was hard and dry and the frosting was NOT The real Valencia frosting. Valencia must be under new ownership and you can taste the CUT in Corners of baking, taste, and TRADITION. Valencia is GONE… please don’t waste your money.

The cake was extremely dry and I ordered it online a day in advance. I was told to text them pictures of the cake because they did have an issue at this Brooklyn location on the day I picked up my cake. The cake was so dry and hard it was very old. How can you charge a customer over $40 and not fix the issue? Management never called me back despite me calling 3 times and never rectified the situation either. Don’t go here, go to Princessa Bakery a few blocks up. They made me a phenomenal cake afterwards and it was cheaper and fresh.
