Food is phenomenal, not only is it fresh but it is also filling. Definitely recommend for any lunch break or healthy dinner.
The food is amazing.
Local spot on the corner that has a GIANT menu inspired by Mediterranean food but also tacos and burritos. Idk what's going on but it tastes good and there's a lot to choose from.
The best people ever the best food best everything literally. The best
nice place, great variety of food. can eat in / take out / deliver. pretty fast prep, well staffed.
Amazing staff, extremely clean. Guidelines in order. Huge variety of food, all kinds for everyone. I'll highly recommend a visit. They deliver as well
it was good! late night delivery. ordered falafel sandwich. fresh and good sized. i would eat here again.
The first time I ever had Bushwick Pita Palace I was on a first date in a warehouse with some dude and a really friendly cat and he (the dude not the cat) had giant vegan platters of hummus, beans, rice, and burritos delivered and totally stole my heart but then moved to california 3 days later and the worst part was that he didn't tell me the name of the place he ordered from so I spent 4 months just wondering where this glorious food came from and I finally found out
Ordered lunch for my coworkers. Large portions great food. They are all picky eaters and they loved it. Would go back again.
The vegan fajitas platter is the best out there. Cheap food, vegan and meat options and open late.
Great value, diverse menu, 9/10 things I’ve tried were amazing. The only thing I don’t like is their soups, but everything else is a serious bang for buck
Amazing food, lots of food. Worth every buck. Cheap eats, that's are made to order, kind staff and classic food done right. Great local spot!
This place is the best .. everything is tasty and fresh .. friendly staff too. High regards
Freshly made tasty Mediterranean food not matter if it’s 1pm or 1am & good prices ! They have great burritos as well!
I love eating here! Everything can be made vegan all the way to the sour cream on your chicken burrito. This place knows what they're doing.
best place in the world for late night food. they have halal options too
Got delivery it came super quick and was delicious. Veggie platter rice was very good as was eggplant mousaka and a deluxe veggie burger and fries was also on point. And the prices are really fair. $9 for a vegan cheeseburger and fries is excellent. I'll be ordering again for sure
By far the best Mexican Restaurant I’ve been to (I hardly see a Mexican restaurant and go inside but it was the only thing available besides pizza at the time) - I hardly have tacos from a Mexican restaurant because I am sooo picky but I decided to try it and it was so delicious I was upset I had already ordered wings because I wanted more tacos. When I went the name wasn’t “Brooklyn Pita Place” so I’m not sure if that is the old name but looking at the pictures it’s definitely the same restaurant. I loved the food so much, it’s the day after I had the food and I’m googling the restaurant to see exactly where it was so I can go there again. PS the staff were very friendly and warm. Will be there again soon.
The value of food here is amazing. The flavor and portions are well worth the trip. Usually we order shawarma and nachos. They don't last very long because it's so yummy.
2 delicious, large spicy Arizona tacos for $10. Will be back.
Amazing food and amazing service. They have something for everyone and I mean everyone. Great customer service and decent prices for the portions. Did I mention they're open until 1 am?
great place. great food. especially for those who want vegan options. the type of place you go to because they make you feel like a regular! shout out to Ameer for memorising my order!
Wonderful customer service with catering for our corporate lunch. Food was generous, delicious and a treat for the whole staff. Manager will work within your budget. Thank you!
Great place to grab a yummy bite after hours!!!!! Super laid back, cool staff.. . Beautiful mural with their name-"Bushwick Pita Palace"- in red, gold, and black... their badass Wall of Stickers is interesting to gaze at too while you're munching on your tacos. :^)
I've been eating Shwarma everywhere. This is the place where you can go wrong...the portions, the salads a lot of varieties, and they very accommodated when it comes to portions also very fresh cannot deny it.
one of the best spots in the neighborhood especially for vegans who want good wholesome options. vegan quesadilla is my 'go to' and lasts me like 2 meals.
I have been eating here for years. This is the best food in the neighborhood. It's an interesting mixture of Mexican and Mediterranean food. They also make a damn good burger.
Place very clean, excellent customer service. Food was delicious. I'm visiting with my cousin and we needed a place to sit and eat. Will definitely come again.
Let's face it; you are not coming here for a fancy dining experience. I will say that the staff is friendly, the portions are generous, and the prices are really decent. The food is flavorful and very fresh. I would definitely go for chicken instead of lamb next time. I was not aware that the lamb was "gyro" style when I ordered it. The chicken shawarma looked much nicer. The hot sauce is delightfully spicy, and the babaghanouj is so delish. Yummm. I will be back.
I love love love this p(a)lace. Best gyros ever cuz they use lamb steak not ground meat. Everything is good & affordable (well it was during my last visit in 2017). One of the things I miss about NYC is remembering this place is open late and popping in for some fire ass food. I'll be back in September. Pulling up.
I have catered twice from this location and have always had a phenomenal experience. The owner is mindful of cost, party size, and always adds a little extra to the mix. Highly recommend the catering services. Quality of food will not disappoint!
Their food is of superior quality
Friendly service staff and tasty/filling lunch options. I would highly recommend, it’s a great place to hang with friends.
Vegan chicken burrito has been my go to order for literally 10 years. I love this place
Had the falafel pita, hummus plate, and baklava. All delicious. Best baklava I ever had and I actively seek out baklava. Hummus and pita incredible too. Generous portions, good prices. Guy up front was very nice and cute hehe
My go-to for great late-night vegan food, with an extensive menu. Welcoming atmosphere and everyone is super friendly. I love the vegan burritos, they are super delicious.
Being generous with my overall rating coz they have a wide variety of different foods including cool vegan options. Had vegan chicken tacos that were pretty good. The tables were dirty but they offered free Arabic tea which is nice, was delicious (I'da preferred it wasn't sweetened but open to try it how it's usually made)
This place is just unbelievable! I've eaten in and out of this place for I don't know how many times in the last year. These guys should be No.1 on every single food delivery service. Period! Always above and beyond! Soo much food for your money. Always set up nicely. This is by far has to be one of the best Mediterranean/middle eastern places in all of NYC.
Good Food, this was like Chipotle with an Eastern twist on it, very good. So many things to choose from. Next time I visit New York I will definitely stop back in.
Great place for food prices are good.
Drunk, High or just hungry!? Come in! Bushwick Pita Palace has been treating me good. Whenever I come stumbling in from a night out. It's always open for me. Nachos, Tacos, Shawarmas, Wings to even Fish Burritos. They have it... The prices are very reasonable and the portions are pretty big. They are open late nights and they do deliver. Once you walk in you will notice all the signs and stickers on the back wall. It's like they are encouraging to add to this and make yourself known. I've put a couple of stickers on the wall and it seems like more and more is added every time. If you live in the area, like I do. You definitely know this place.
Steak burrito was good, but they charge extra for green peppers/onions, which is insane.
Excellent burritos. I love the spinach. I never really dabbled in the middle easteen selection but poeple seem to order it. A Montrose staple. I would not travel to eat here but if you are passing by, or drinking at duck duck it is an excellent choice.
This is one of the best pita 🥙 places that I have ever find in NYC . Fresh ingredients and very taste preparation! The staff is really cool and nice. Totally recommend.
The delicious smells of spices and meat surround you upon entering. You can't really see clear through the windows, but once you're on the other side of the door, freshly cooked meats are displayed for choosing as well as toppings. This place doesn't seem to know what it is... Pitas? Mexican? Falafels? Burritos? Coffee? Nice counter guy followed by a gruff server. The decor is plain and most of your focus will be needed to search through the VAST menu. Despite having too many choices (yes, that can be overwhelming) if you're hungry this is a great place to stop in. Typical deli prices.
Good value and good portions. The menu is a bit hard to navigate but has some interesting options with both Spanish and middle eastern influences. It’s very hot inside during the summer so I don’t recommend sitting in at all. I recommend the schwarma burrito, it is both interesting and flavorful.
The burrito I had was pretty good. Could have used a little more spices or hot sauce (of which they had available on the table) as it was a bit on the bland side. It was also a very large burrito as well which was very filling. They were welcoming, friendly, and quick with making their food. I would definitely visit again for a quick eat.
Food was pretty good! I only wish they asked you what you want in your salad like other halal places instead of putting everything on there. The vegan chicken itself was good but there was a lot of moisture in the salad and the bottom was like a soup. Chicken over rice was PACKED full with rice, salad, chicken, hummus, and tzatziki.
So the food is good and they also deliver BUT they have menus that are out dated. So I though it was one price and I was charged about $5 extra PER ORDER. Invest and get new menus
Good food. The only problem is that time after time the deliveries are late or never come at all. At first I thought it was seamless but it appears the place can not keep up with the pace
Order was wrong, taco was ok at best and counter person barely payed attention to me while I told him my order. Only reason they got 3 stars is because I didnt try the middle eastern food which is half the menu...
I like the food: philly steak sandwich and cheesburger & fries. Gonna try the arabic bbq and gyro next time. Only downside is that the food took a lot of time to prepare since they got overwhelmed with orders. The place is ok for a quick bite but might get you smelling like food when you leave. So better have your order ready for pickup. Price and value for money is great. Cashier is very nice.
I've never tried the mediterranean food, but the Mexican food is some of the best in the neighborhood. Good late night grub at a reasonable price. The tacos are essential, and if you're looking for a meal that will leave you gloriously listless, add nachos.
Delicious platters however the beef was a dog chew that took a lot of effort maybe if I were a lion or hyena it would’ve went down easier. Nevertheless it was pretty delicious for the price
Convenience, on Bushwick Ave, food taste (shish kabob sandwich) - could be a little better, service ok, I ordered can of diet pepsi, regular was placed in my bag without prior approval. I'm gonna try the food cart that I saw nearby
I saw this place earlier and decided it would be perfect for my late dinner. It took them about 20 minutes to make my food. I was the only person there btw. The cashier was nice and indulged me for what I asked was not common. The food itself was dull. I eat a lot at Mediterranean restaurants and this might have been the worst. I didn't finish my dish although I was pretty hungry.
Ordered Chicken Shawarma, most of it looks like Salad Shawarma. The guy just made the shawarma out of left over chicken and filled with Salad instead.
Entering the restaurant really got my hopes up. It has the right smell for a middle eastern restaurant. The lamb shawarma meat is pretty good, not amazing, but solid. The chicken shawarma is about as bland as I have tasted. Where this restaurant truly disappoints is in how they fill the pita for the shawarma. It may be the worst approach to filling a shawarma I've ever seen, and I've been to literally hundreds of shawarma places. The way they fill it, you end up with all the salad at the bottom, the meat at the top, and the sauce (which is pretty good sauce) at really only two spots. So most bites are either all meat or all salad, and either way too much sauce or not nearly enough sauce. Thoroughly ruins the shawarma eating experience. Who wants to end the shawarma with all salad???
Service is not good. If you feel like wasting alot of time, or you have a lot of time to kill then this is your spot. DO NOT ORDER THEIR SPANISH FOOD! Go to Los Arcos instead , it's on the same block.
Expensive Mediterranean food spent $45 for two plates and all the meat was hard as a rock, rice tasted bad, salad was bad and random. Stake pita. I waited like 20 minutes to take my order and 40 minutes to get my order
Food is great. The main manager is super cool. But the service of the young guy at the order counter is terrible and makes me not want to come back after years of patronage. His attitude is awful as he doesn't answer questions correctly and acts like he's bothered that I want to spend my money with him. Messed up my order with that attitude twice!
You can get better halal at any street cart. Ordered the lamb shish kebab sandwich and was only told ten minutes later and after they made me a chicken sandwich that they didn't actually have lamb in the restaurant and their menu was inaccurate. Cucumbers in sandwich were a bit old and sour, pita bread fell apart and couldn't hold the sandwich. Food took too long to prepare, items were overpriced. Friend's burrito was also only so-so.
I’ll start off by saying the place has great food and taste , but the workers are very out of place they have an attitude to make food . They get mad that customers come in and order food . Especially the guys who work on the grills . Cashier just does his job . The people who work on the grill have an attitude every time someone orders something as if they don’t like what they do . I wouldn’t have people like that in my establishment working for me it would bring your business to the floor . I recommend you guys get people who are willing to work in that establishment. Also they don’t pay attention when creating your food they just throw things on a plate . I FOUND A HAIR IN MY TACO. I was extremely upset because of that I would no longer come to this establishment. The people who work on the grill are very sloppy they don’t maintain cleanliness sometimes the lettuce is inside a dressing sometimes the beans are inside The hummus . Simple things like this would make you no longer come to a establishment . They made my burger and only put it on one grill but before they use to put it on both grills . So it wasn’t cooked right . Sorry to say but you guys lost a customer . Hopefully you take my comment into consideration.
They served me rancid vegetables tonight. Sour and disgusting. I told the cook, who tried one slice of cucumber and agreed it was spoiled and dumped out the tray. No offer for a refund or remake mine or anything. Just like sorry dude hope you enjoy your overpriced $10 spoiled falafel sandwich. lol! Would absolutely recommend avoiding.
“Falafel sandwich” - more like falafel scramble… it was made in a matter of seconds and I waited upwards of 10 minutes to be checked out (mind you, I was the only one there) - got home expecting a nice sandwich and opened the bag to this nonsense.. only reason it’s not one star is because at least the scramble tastes good, and that I happen to be eating in on a plate with a fork, otherwise it would have been all over the floor.. y’all are better off going to Oasis in Williamsburg - cheaper, tastier, and comes in one piece!
Asked for chicken Shwarma and the counter attendant pulled old dry chicken hunks out of a drawer. He thought it was an online order and was clearly embarrassed when he handed me the burrito. Gross.
It's good food, that's for sure! But one of the guys spoiled my appetite by smoking right at the front door. It's disgusting. Goes everywhere, impossible to ignore
Beef shish kabob I got was dry, tough and basically inedible. I ordered at 11:30 am so maybe I got yesterday’s beef or something. Go with Zaatar instead.
The menus look good. 1 Star for that. Still , I’ll never eat there, saw roaches crawling around in a few different spots. You nasty fuckers!!!
This place stole my money! I ordered through DoorDash and paid$31. The very next day there's an in-store charge of $41.27 that I didn't make! Will be reporting them 🤬
The man at the counter called me a “fucking faggot” I complained about him not paying attention that my food was ready. I was the only one with an order pending and he was ducking behind the counter for several minutes when I requested my food. Not a gay friendly establishment
I ordered the chili and a hummus platter. The "chili" was honestly the worst chili I have ever had in my life. It looked and tasted like a minestrone soup with a few pieces of beef tossed in. The hummus was also thin and watery.
Im new to the area and I ordered a simple Chicken salad and a small soup. The chicken was dry and old I sent it back and they sent me the same salad back with the same old chicken. The soup was flavorless and gross. I don't recommend even giving it a chance.
I saw the lunch special poster chicken rice and beans, so i went inside and ask for this. The worker said no more, I said why? And he told me they sold too much! I asked the special is from 11-3pm and time is 2:30pm. And he still said no more. But at the same time he try to sale me the chicken, and I ask him how much? He told me $9 $10. The special was $7.... totally not a honest restaurant!
Ordered delivery and they never delivered. Refused to refund my money saying that they called me a bunch of times. I have 0 missed calls from them and the delivery instructions clearly state to ring the bell at the door. Definitely don’t recommend, will not order again. Taking money and not delivering is illegal.
I've been twice now and both times they failed to start making our food until we reminded them 15-20 minutes after ordering! The second visit we were the only customers there. Friends have told us to avoid them for this reason.
I have visited this restaurant 4 times (under 4 different hosts) for simple take-out orders, like falafel or shawarma .. but in all 4 times (without exaggerations) and without exceptions, the experiences were nightmares .. starting from being surprised about the overpriced items at the checkout, going through waiting over 30 minutes for such simple orders (until you remind the host about them) .. to end up finally with just either a bad smelling chicken shawarma, or even an unwell-cooked falafel, in a sandwich that is overfilled with salad, until it becomes hard to even see what you have originally ordered in the sandwich. This is not even close to the code of conduct, in addition to imposing consumer risks, which includes hygienic related ones.
food is TRASH. Quesadilla was dry. No cheese. Chicken was dry & the rice wasn’t even cooked all the way. Guy who worked the register was on the phone the whole time. Waste of money.
The first time I ordered from here it took a little long but the food was great. Tonight I ordered dinner for why whole family, and 2 hours later we are still waiting, they can't find their driver , and they stopped answering my calls. THEN i finally got them in the phone and they say they are having technical difficulties and never got my order!! (When i have a confirmation text stating that they accepted the order). Such a shame that they do not care, we would have loved to order from there often :(
I'm very disappointed I ask for tacos Al pastor the guy taking my order got confused. So just I made it easy. I order beef soft 🌮 In my opinion no good. Won't be ordering from here. again. They do have a good cheese burger special.
I have a wheat allergy and specifically ordered tacos with soft corn shell, and was given flour tacos which I didn’t realize till mostly done with my meal.
The lamb sandwich was disgusting I never in my life had a meat that tough and hard ended up in the garbage ! You should try your own food before sell it to the public! And the chicken sandwich was actually a salad sandwich with 3 piece of chicken not worth the price whatsoever
I’ve been ordering from this place VERY often for the last month. First two weeks everything was ok, and these last two weeks there’s always something wrong with my order. Missing something, or they send you whatever they have for you to drink when they don’t have what you ordered, which is ridiculous. Call me and tell me what you have. I don’t drink Pepsi and they’ll send pepsi if I ask for a coke, which is unacceptable. Today, I received the entire wrong order after waiting 45 mins. I call and let them know how frustrated I am, because there’s always a damn issue. Last time my food came over an hour and a half late and COLD. After today I’m done with this place! I ordered at 11 cause it says they open at 11, for them to call me and say that very day they decided to try a new schedule and open at 12. The unprofessionalism and constant issues with my orders are at this point, insane. Let’s see how long they take to actually deliver my right order, and if it comes cold again. Over this place!
Absolutely disgusting. The fajitas tasted like they'd been scraped from the bottom of a dumpster. The lamb kebab had so much gristle I could barely chew it. The spinach pie was oversalted to the point of inedibility; I had to throw it out. I'll give them one star because the baba ghanoush was decent, but they didn't include any pita bread to eat it with. Will not order from again.
The food is mediocre and way overpriced. This is the worst service I have ever received. They consistently will take your order and not start until you ask them about it. THIS HAS HAPPENNED EVERY TIME I HAVE GONE HERE AT NIGHT. The last time this happened I pointed out my food wasn't started and the owner yelled at me for having an attitude and said he wanted to smack me. The workers then begain to taunt me by asking who i wanted to fire. Truly a horrible institution. Never go here.
These guys will rip you off, give your money to a better business. I ordered $25 worth of food from Bushwick Pita Palace via Seamless, and tipped $5 to my driver. The food did not arrive during the delivery window, so I called the restaurant. The cashier told me the driver was 2 minutes away and asked me to wait. After waiting for 20 minutes I called back, again he asked that I wait. Finally after an additional 15-20 minutes, 2 hours after I placed the order, I called asking for a refund. I was told that I'd receive the refund in the morning. Sure enough, the refund was never granted to me. Calling the restaurant they told me the food was taken by someone, and insinuated that I was being dishonest. I live in a small building, and my instructions were very clear to ring my doorbell. I've ordered food through Seamless many times and never had these issues. The restaurant refused to do anything to make it right, refunding me my $30 or giving me a credit for a future meal would have kept me from writing this post.
Placed an order, was told 30 min. After an hr I called to see where my order was, becuase I needed to take my lunch break. Man told me to wait another 2 min, that it was almost there. 20 minutes later I get my food cold!!!! After waiting for an hr and 20min, I would expect some delicious hot food. They have no respect for their customers. They even forgot the chili sauce I asked not to forget.
Edit::: since the owner finally replied after 2 years and wants to play dumb. Go on any food ordering app and search 243 Bushwick Ave. 2+ active businesses under the same address. You aren’t slick. This place is just illegal in general. Filed some complaints and inquiries on the location this week. They run 4 other restaurant names under the location of this store, however all the food gets made in the same place. Just check the address on Seamless.
Regrettably, I found the culinary experience lacking in flavor during my recent visit. Specifically, the chicken tacos, consisting of two soft corn tacos and one hardshell corn taco, were notably underwhelming. The inclusion of wet shredded chicken and black beans, inadequately drained, resulted in excessively soggy taco shells. Furthermore, the absence of any discernible seasoning, not even a hint of salt or pepper, contributed to a flavorless outcome. While I commend the commendable service, I am deeply disappointed by the lack of taste in the dishes. It would greatly enhance the dining experience if more attention were given to the flavor profile of the offerings. The food has no flavor
