Quiero poner cinco estrellas 🌟 a este estupendo lugar, por su comida, como tanto por la atención que recibimos por el dueño de este local. También especial nombramiento para su mujer y resto del equipo de cocina por su gran labor y cariño por la cocina. Nos hemos sentido, muy bien atendidos y recomendados y esto nos ha hecho sentir especialmente bien. Lo único que mejoraría, la acústica del local, ya que cuando están todas las mesas completas, cuesta un poco mantener una conversación sin tener que subir el tono de voz. Gracias por todo y esperamos volver pronto 🇪🇸

Se ha vuelto mi sitio favorito del Carmen. Desde su atención, excepcional, hacia tiempo que no me trataban tan bien. Es un gusto cuando te sientes invitado en la casa de alguien, sólo por el detalle de dirigirse a nosotros sacando el nombre de la reserva ya me ganaron. Adicional a ello, luego fueron super atentos. La comida espectacular, todo. No falló nada, lo mejor las gyozas, ufff de locos. Salimos a 50 euros por cabeza y pedimos: 4 platos+postre+vino

Celebramos el fin de año aquí. Cenamos muy bien, tuvimos un ambiente estupendo festivo y el dueño junto al resto del servicio fue súper amable y divertido (Noche Vieja). El precio fue alto pero dado el resultado mereció la pena.

Una maravillosa casualidad nos hizo entrar a cenar,la presentación de cada plato, los sabores, la atención, como la cocina es abierta en todo momento se ve la perfecta sincronización, y el buen ambiente de cada uno de las personas que hacen de cada plato un total disfrute. GRACIAS

Little place, amazing food. traditional valencian dishes but different and fused, actually often very positively surprised! We had the - tomato salad (ok) - shrimps (really nice) - eggplant (absolutely amazing) - duck dish (absolutely amazing) - pork belly (even better...than amazing) - desert plate..... everything was great, cream cheese, chocolate souffle, ... the Creme Catalana was just "ok" but only because everything else was so good. The servers (or owners?) really nice people, very friendly, etc

Our group of 8 friends ate here Saturday evening as recommended by another friend. The chef suggested he chose our food so we went with it and we’re not disappointed! The food was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The wine was gorgeous and people were great! We shared platters of crispy shrimp, rice pancake stuffed veg and cod platter. I had a tuna and shiitake main with seaweed… perfection! The meal was an ‘event’ !

Superb food and service in this delightful restaurant that serves a fusion of Spanish tapas with Asian influences. Be sure to book ahead as space is limited. A meal for 4 people of 6 tapas and drinks cost €120. Really worth it.

Lovely friendly restaurant in the El Carmen area with a cool, laidback atmosphere, great music. The food is stunning. The tuna was perfectly seared, and the sardines have a great balance of flavour as did the squid. We ate twice here so to try other dishes and eveything was exquisite. You must try a pudding, the ice cream is a burst of flavours and grandma's pudding is a total delight.

Delicious food and nice white wine. They have very creative and unique tapas. We got the Vietnamese spring rolls, aubergine and the tuna. All the dishes were outstanding! The owner is friendly and funny. The whole experience was great! I would highly recommend to go there if you're in Valencia.

What a delightful lunch! Delicious food with interesting, fresh flavours. The chipriones, the pastrami and the Vietnamese rolls were outstanding. Small but delicious wine list. Massive, tasty desserts were a great ending to a great meal. Best of all, generous, caring and friendly staff really make this a stand out in Valencia. Be sure to make a booking as it is not a large space and it is pretty popular.

We were in Valencia in May 2021 on our Spain Tour. Walking around with no idea where to have lunch and to try the best dishes, we were a lil bit annoyed and very hungry. We sat in 3 different restaurants, but they all seemed to us to be some tourist traps. We kept walking through the tiny streets and saw the small cosy restaurant - nothing special from the outside. But once we tryed the food - Woww! First the foie gras creme brulee was out of this world! Than we tryed the Oktopus 🐙 , the salmon and the Cochinita Pibil - everything was so tasty, with fresh ingridients. We let ourselves to be guided by the hosts according to our preferences (fish, meat, vegg) For dessert they recommended us the Blue Chees Icecream, which is a must. ( with some orujo on the house - made our walk in the park great 😀 )

This was my first time back at Refugio since 2019. The food here never disappoints. This may be our favorite restaurant in Valencia. Tonight we had the croquetas de pato y manzana, ceviche (not pictured), rollitos vietnamitas, cochinita pibil, y pionono relleno de mousse de chocolate y dulce de leche. Every bite was delicious.

Crossed this restaurant by chance and had a fantastic time. The waiter and all of the staff where just super friendly and welcoming. The food itself was very very good, and the presentations was an eye catcher! We can especially recommend the duck ans the gazpacho. 100 points for this little piece of heaven.

Restaurante con un menú variado, sofisticado y muy bien preparado. Con un servicio muy eficiente, prácticamente sin espera, y un precio acorde con lo que se recibe. Para repetir, sin duda.

Un buen sitio para probar comida variada y diferente. Los dueños me parecieron encantadores, y nos permitieron en general disfrutar de una velada agradable entre colegas. Ubicación bastante céntrica, por lo que es ideal para empezar una noche de fiesta.

Muy rico todos los platos , pedimos tartar de salmón ( rico) , ceviche de rape con maíz frito y plátano maduro ( rico) Gyozas de ternera con cerdo y salsa nikiri ( brutales para pedirte 90) Rollito vietnamita (rico) Tataki de magret de pato con setas ( muy rico). Precios acorde a la calidad de los productos no me pareció caro . Bebida el vino de la casa rico también . De postre la torrija estaba muy rica ! La atención muy buena , el ambiente agradable , rapidez en servir los platos volvería sin dudas ! Recomendable sitio . Éxitos !!!

We followed a local recommendation for tapas and were not disappointed. The place was difficult to find, and it doesn’t open before 8:30 PM. Despite the restaurant’s simple setting, the food was absolutely delightful, and we indulged in a feast accompanied by the finest wine. A true hidden gem, it's off the beaten tourist track and not overcrowded, making it all the more enjoyable—an experience I highly recommend. To top it off, we were served a "Dark Misteln" for the twisted soul at the end… right up my alley 👻. It was kind of expensive for 4 people Euro 165.- but worth it. Service was very warm and we felt like home.

WoW the food was great ! Very small restaurant. It's a very cosy but fancy atmosphere. As soon as you arrive they offer an amazing service. They I loved my pork. The flavors were there. We also had the salmon plate which was good but not amazing. Definitely take the potato and mango appetizer !

Really wanted to love it, had been recommended it. The dishes we had were really delicious - the cod with parmesan sauce genuinely one of the nicest dishes I've ever eaten in a restaurant. But they recommend 3-4 dishes between two people. We had 5, and were still so hungry that we went and got a kebab and chips next door on the way home. And we paid over 100 euros (with 2 beers) to leave properly hungry still. They need to do side dishes (carbohydrates) or at least bread, not just the fancy tiny plates

Si no fuera por las raciones pequeña y los precios altísimo, le pondría dos estrella. Hemos pedido una cesta de pan y nos han dado un pan de la semana pasada. Hemos pedido que nos lo cambiara y han dicho que no tenían más. 7 lonchas de pavos pequeñitas sabías mas a salsa teriaki que a carne (17 euro) La milanesa, eran trocitos de carne del Mercadona rebozado (17 euro). Las gyozas (15 euro) y las croquetas bien. La mesa a lado de la nuestra habían pedido la berenjena que está en la carta (13 euro) y no era nada más que UNA berenjena asada partida por el medio (HE FLIPADO) Yo os aconsejaría, o duplicar la raciones o bajar de un 50% los precios. En fin, si no queréis salir de ahí con hambre, os tenéis que gastar por lo menos 45 euro por cabeza.
