We came here because we saw other reviews mentioning that they can accommodate vegan guests here and accommodate they did. We felt very welcome and everything we tried was amazing. We had the fried peppers, the tempura Aubergine and the vegetable paella. The portions are huge and the flavors are indescribable. I would highly recommend coming here if you get the chance. If you order the tempura Aubergine as a vegan, it’s important to mention that you want it without the honey, otherwise that might be overlooked. But do order it since it is great.

Visiting from the states and wanted to try the famous Valencia paella - so happy we found Masusa! All of the food was amazing - we will definitely be going back before we leave. We had reservations at 6:30 for six and our table was set up and ready when we arrived. Service is phenomenal! They also make a wonderful Agua de Valencia! Euros appreciated, but they do take credit.

Love this place! It’s rare to find a place which serve paella for one and Masusa is the place to go. I had grilled octopus, so tasty and yummy. Also had a Valencia paella. The staffs are so friendly and the restaurant is super cosy. I came at 8.30pm on a Sunday and lucky me it wasn’t too crowded. Will definitely be back again to try other appetizers and the paella. Masusa is such a gem!!! Oh my lord, I can understand why Valencia is famous for paella now. I came pretty early, and Maria Jose and Kathy turned on the heater and offered me a lap blanket to be comfy. The area is super cute and perfect for some people-watching. I ordered the black rice paella (shrimp, calamari, monkfish in fish furnet in squid ink sauce) (17€ per person). I really appreciate how clear their menu is, especially with allergen warnings. They took their time to carefully prep my dish, and it came out amazing!! Savory, well balanced, excellent portions of seafood, crispy crunchy rice bits on the sides, and a creamy garlic aioli sauce on the side. Thanks Maria Jose and Kathy for being super friendly and attentive. My only recommendation is to bring more people, so you can try different paellas! Sooooo yummy, this is one of the best dishes I’ve had in my life.

This place came highly reviewed, so we decided to give it a try. They didn’t open till 6:30pm, but that was fine for us as we had just arrived in town and the timing worked for us. We didn’t have a reservation, but they had no problem accommodating us. In addition to their regular menu, they had a daily recommendation menu. We chose items from both menu, but went with the paella with duck, fois, and mushrooms from the daily recommendation. The portions were very generous and was more than enough food for two people. The paella was a bit on the salty side for my palate, but was delicious overall. Outdoor seating was a delight for late October.

Amazing food, great service. The spicy seafood paella had so much flavour - sweet, spicy and lots of seafood. The eggplant is a must. The best paella we’ve had in Spain by far! Definitely try to go early or make a reservation. We went at 7:35 and were one of the lucky few that walked in.

Took a gamble on this restaurant based purely on it's rating and it massively paid off. Easy to walk past but amazing food. Our Sardines starter was perfect and the Paella was off the scale. The best Valencian paella in Ruzafa! It was ready in just 25 minutes. The rice was juicy with a crispy socarrat, the meat tender, and the vegetables perfectly cooked. The place is very clean and the staff offer a personal, friendly touch. Definitely coming back!

The entire waiting staff were very attentive and clearly a professional staff of waiters. We were in Valencia region in vacation and we were looking for some good paella. We have had bad experiences before and Masusa was our last shot. But here, we just had the best food we could have. The food here was amazing. Our party of 5 was well taken care of by both the owner and one of her waistresses Katy. We ordered the paella valenciana and the paella bogavante. Both were extremely delicious and will gladly order more. I almost forgot about the sangrias. They were both tasty and potent. I have a high tolerance and the 2nd glass got to me. Overall, a great experience. Make sure you get reservations days ahead!

Una sorpresa mayúscula caminar por Ruzafa y toparte con un lugar tan exquisito como este, pedimos un par de entradas, sardinas fritas y boquerones que nos hemos devorado, no alcance ni a tomar una fotografía, además una paella de bogavante espectacular. Fuimos a cenar el sábado por la noche y salimos muy decepcionados con la experiencia. Desde el principio, la gerente del restaurante fue muy desagradable. No hizo ningún esfuerzo cuando veía que no entendíamos bien lo que decía (somos franceses). Daba la impresión de que el concepto del lugar era regañar a los clientes como si fuéramos niños simplemente por tomarnos el tiempo de decidir qué queríamos comer. Cuando pregunté si la paella de verduras era realmente sin pescado ni carne, me respondió con un tono claramente despreciativo: «Pues claro, son verduras, no hay carne». Como vegetariana, siempre prefiero asegurarme, sobre todo porque en España a veces el pescado se incluye en platos considerados “vegetarianos”. Al final nos lo tomamos con humor, pero después de leer otros comentarios, parece que no somos los unicos que han recibido este trato. Algo inaceptable en una profesión donde el contacto con el cliente es fundamental. Además, los platos no se pueden pedir de forma individual, lo cual es una pena. En cuanto a la comida, estaba buena, pero extremadamente salada, hasta el punto de tener sed toda la noche. Una experiencia globalmente decepcionante y un trato difícilmente aceptable.

La paella valenciana my costosa, no especifican si es para uno o dos, ya cuando te dan la cuenta es que sabes que te han cobrado dos. Ver precios y preguntar para cuantas personas es. La paella le faltaba el garrafón. La calidad precio no lo vale, esta rico pero para el precio mejor ir a otro lugar.
