Pranzo a 5 stelle piene! La location è molto elegante, e seppure arredata in moro classico, mette in una condizione l di agio. Il servizio veramente impeccabile e fatto da professionisti, l'altezza del posto. Ultimo, ma non per importanza, il cibo stra buono in tutto, pane compreso, sia per realizzazione che per materia prima. Il prezzo è in linea con l'alta qualità offerta.
Pranzo di lavoro con colleghi... Che piacevole sorpresa. Il menù propone dei piatti unici (terra, mare e vegetariano) molto interessanti ad un prezzo giusto. Io ho degustato il piatto unico mare.... Avrei. Solo preferito un gusto più deciso alle orecchiette. Ad ogni modo consigliato.
Un pranzo molto soddisfacente che ha appagato il gusto ma anche gli occhi. Ambiente molto curato e accogliente così come il gentilissimo personale. Cibi cucinati con sapienza rispettando la materia prima e ben accostati anche nelle proposte di piatto unico a pranzo in settimana a 19 euro. Livello alto di cucina che può essere gustata senza spese folli . Esperienza da ripetere senza dubbio.
Ventuno anni fa' io e mia moglie facemmo qui il nostro pranzo di nozze.... Da allora sempre e solo sorprese positive e miglioramenti ulteriori, e oggi si inserisce a pieno titolo fra i migliori tre ristoranti della provincia di Varese. Qualità e servizio da ristorante stellato. Sempre gentilissimo e preparatissimo il titolare Luca, che gestisce la sala. Prezzo proporzionato alla qualità eccelsa delle pietanze e al servizio impeccabile. Una sicurezza!
Eleganza, cortesia e stile. Queste tre parole bastino a riassumere la piacevole esperienza goduta assieme alla mia famiglia nella giornata di ieri. Siamo stati piacevolmente stupito dagli interni del locale arredato con cura e classe. Un lusso mai fine a se stesso che fa emergere una cura dei particolari e dei dettagli che non lascia indifferenti. Le pietanze servite con un aspetto raffinato e piacevole hanno confermato la nostra scelta. Si segnala infine la presenza di un ampio parcheggio dedicato esclusivamente alla clientela.
Locale davvero meraviglioso!! Curato in ogni dettaglio, dal servizio al tavolo con camerieri molto attenti in tutto. Pulizia e ordine impeccabili. Unica cosa ...piccolo il parcheggio auto. Prezzi in linea con un ristorante che nel 2020 è stato premiato con stella Michelin. Cibo davvero sopraffino, carne e salumi di ottima qualità. Lo consiglio vivamente. E spero di tornarci ovviamente 😊
Recensione al Ristorante Al Vecchio Convento, Viale Luigi Borri, 348, 21100 Varese VA, Italia Elegante e...Perfetto ! Il ristorante è ubicato su una strada di forte passaggio, su una statale che porta a Varese, il prezzo medio è di circa 35 €. Il parcheggio è privato, abbastanza ampio, quindi non vi sono difficoltà nel trovare posto. Il ristorante ha una sala principale all'interno, che è stata mantenuta in uno stile rustico molto curato, una zona esterna molto gradevole e ampia, e un altra sala in uno stile molto elegante. Riscontra un carattere molto signorile ed elegante, curato nel minimo dettaglio, con la presenza di alcuni oggetti che arricchiscono il tutto, come la presenza di un vecchio registratore di cassa e un pianoforte a coda, oltre a dettagli rustici di gran gusto. La clientela, essendo un ristorante di questo tipo, è abbastanza omogenea, prediletto soprattutto da famiglie, da coppie o da chi ricerca l'ottima cucina mantenendo il giusto prezzo, oltre alla ricerca della tranquillità in un ambiente signorile. L'accoglienza è molto calorosa, il gestore è molto cordiale, estremamente preparato soprattutto sulla parte viniocola, professionale e cerca immediatamente di far sentire a proprio agio i clienti. Il personale è molto disponibile, professionale, elegante e cordiale, soprattutto molto attento alle necessità. La cosa che piu' ho gradito in questo, è la presenza di una persona diversamente abile che si occupa dei tavoli, perfettamente integrata che rende unico questo locale, è la perla nera che fa comprendere come una persona di questo tipo possa avere un plus rispetto agli altri, dandogli piena fiducia. Il Menu è cartaceo, in stile gran ristorante, ben strutturato tra le pietanze del ristorante, con una discreta varietà di piatti offerti, non troppo elaborati ma ben struturati. I prezzi per le singole pietanze, sono a mio avviso sotto alla media rispetto a locali simili. La cucina è toscaneggiante, fine e raffinata, la materia prima è di ottima qualità, i piatti ben serviti, impiattati a regola d'arte senza lesinare troppo sulle quantità. La presentazione è ordinata, artistica, gradevole e curata, la temperatura dei piatti e delle pietanze viene rispettata soprattutto scaldando i piatti, mentre il livello della cucina è davvero notevole. La cosa che piu' ho apprezzato è l'ambiente e l'atmosfera che si resira. Abbiamo preso vari piatti consigliati, notando da subito la pulizia nella presentazione e la ricercatezza artistica, mista a tecniche di preparazione di alto livello, passando dalla Cbt alle cotture dirette, dagli antipasti al dolce. E' stato un susseguirsi di pietanze ben bilanciate, con attenzione agli abbinamenti, mai azzardati, ben servite, dai gusti delicati Il locale presenta un'ottima cantina vini tra i quali farsi consigliare dal gestore, persona estremamente ferrata in materia. Se proprio volessi fare una critica costruttiva, che è piu' un consiglio, la volterei alla ricercatezza nei piatti, nel proporre almeno un piatto caratteristico e unico di questo locale che magari cambi a seconda della stagione, che faccia comprendere la qualità e la ricercatezza di questa cucina. Il servizio è "Caldo", attento e cortese mentre i tempi d'attesa sono un po piu' lunghi nella media, dovuti dal fatto che questo locale sovverte l'idea del tempo, insomma...non si corre ! La pulizia del locale in genere è molto curata, mentre l'atmosfera è molto raffinata, coinvolgente e seducente, accompagnando i clienti in un vortice di emozioni intense, che lo invogliano a tornare. Il mio voto è ovviamente 5/5 perchè ha il perfetto connubio tra cucina, atmosfera e servizio, soprattutto per il coraggio dimostrato dal gestore nel far lavorare persone diversamente abili che rendono l'atmosfera ancora piu' accogliente. A wonderful place in Varese where you can immerse yourself in Tuscan delicacies. We sampled some dishes prepared with great skill and impeccable care. The restaurant is beautifully decorated with period furniture, and nothing is left to chance. The customer service and willingness to accommodate their needs are also excellent. I will definitely be back.

The menu is well-curated, with excellent options for those seeking gluten-free or lactose-free dishes—a highly appreciated rarity. The dishes were elegantly presented, with attention to detail. A perfect choice for a special evening in Varese. We'll definitely be back!

A restaurant in the Bizzozero area worth considering, with ample private parking right in front of the entrance. Post-ceremony lunches, including weddings, are often held here. There are several rooms, the most classic, which also serves as a standard restaurant, is nevertheless very elegant. Service is smooth and fast, nothing to complain about. The waiters here are truly worthy, they really go the extra mile. Well-prepared, tasty, and enjoyable dishes. You might expect a higher bill for this location, but it's very fair.
Delicious and excellent service! A week ago, on the recommendation of a friend, we booked a family lunch at the Al Vecchio Convento restaurant in Varese, a Michelin-starred restaurant in 2023. Upon arrival, we entered this elegant, classically decorated restaurant, were warmly welcomed, and were immediately shown to our table. They brought us the menu and we ordered: - "Round chestnut" pumpkin tart with Tuscan pecorino cream and black truffle - Pumpkin tortelli with poured butter, amaretti crumble, and pecorino shavings - Grilled Argentine Black Angus beef with fried artichoke - T-bone Florentine steak from Chianina PGI Sorana beef, aged for 21 days Dessert: - Chocolate delight (soft dark chocolate and berries) - Madagascar vanilla crème brulee All the dishes were simply exceptional, delicious, and served with refined, meticulous attention to detail. Homemade pasta. The service was impeccable, with very kind and helpful waiters. The place was clean and very tidy. Ample private parking was available. We will definitely be back to try other dishes. Thank you for the delicious lunch. We highly recommend it!
Today's excellent lunch never disappoints, served impeccably in a consistently elegant setting. As always, we chose the battuta (a typical savoury dish) for our appetizer, because, having frequented this restaurant for years, it remains the restaurant's flagship. Today, too, it was incredibly fresh, tasty, and extremely refined. For the first course, we had pappardelle with wild boar ragù in white wine with pecorino cheese, while for the second course (because the portions here are generous) we shared a Black Angus with fried Maremma artichokes: everything was masterful, and we can only give the chef another A+. The dining room staff were extremely friendly. The wine selection was excellent. It remains our favorite restaurant.
Every year, it's a tradition with friends to choose a special place for our Christmas Eve dinner, and this year was truly special. Excellent food with balanced flavors. If you are in Varese, stay here over night and enjoy a fabulous dinner! Send email to Stefano, co-owner and chef, and you will be well taken care of! They have three guest rooms, well priced and clean, but I will focus on my restaurant experience. The dining room is elegant, not stuffy, they have a great wine list, and lots of tempting food choices. I started with a glass of Friuli white and then had a half bottle of Le Difese, from the same winery that makes the insanely expensive Sassicaia. The first bottle was subtly corked, my waiter agreed, and the second one was amazing. On the food side I had a delicate asparagus flan (from white asparagus), then amazing house-made Tortelloni, carbonara style (tasteful, perhaps slightly too salty), and a to-die for Canadian Bison, served rare (by design and request) and so soft that it was like eating beef tartar. It was accompanied by a few well-chosen vegetables (one piece each of grilled fennel, zucchini, melanzani, potato), Irish sea salt, olive oil, and pepper — powerful simplicity that, somehow, the real Italian chefs get right, but most US Italian chefs don't.

Location dall'aspetto elegante, con due sale distinte. Possibilità di optare per menù proposti dallo chef o scegliere à la carte. Quest'ultima la nostra scelta: tartare di manzo con rosso d'uovo come antipasto, pappardelle integrali al cinghiale (davvero buone) come primo e come secondo filetto di manzo bavarese con carciofo (avrei apprezzato di più qualche altro contorno - in compenso la carne era morbidissima e cotta al punto giusto) e veli di manzo con insalata di carciofi; per concludere uno sfizioso goloso (semifreddo al cioccolato con crema al caramello, passion fruit e crumble alle nocciole) molto apprezzato e una scelta di formaggi. Nel complesso, per quanto mi riguarda, buona materia prima e prezzi proporzionati a quest'ultima (direi un po' sopra la media). Personale cordiale, anche se non proprio attento al dettaglio: vino versato una sola volta dal personale della sala, idem l'acqua, piatti terminati lasciati sul tavolo per troppo tempo e all'uscita, giacche consegnate come vengono consegnate in un guardaroba di un cinema (in certe location usualmente si aiuta il cliente nell'indossare il capo). Da ultimo, ma che sarebbe stato da inserire all'inizio, all'arrivo siamo stati accolti da una rissa scoppiata da degli avventori di un matrimonio: fatto che non dovrebbe capitare, nemmeno quando si alza un po' il gomito e che tuttalpiù andava risolta immediatamente dai gestori per evitare figuracce al locale.

2 stelle è tanto. Se spendi oltre 100 euro a testa ti aspetti tutt'altro nel piatto. (Non parlo di dosi ma di qualità). I commenti qui sono di chi sa cucinare? Mi viene il dubbio. Se invece qui si parla del pranzo di lavoro e spendi solo 30 euro, beh passino le 3 stelle.
