I've been enjoying the food here for over 65 years,true story. It's a take out place so sometimes we eat at the park nearby. They serve menudo plus their regular menu on the weekends. My folks introduced me to this place when I was a kid. If you love authentic Mexican food, this is the place to get it 👍🏻

Great food at reasonable prices! Service is fast & friendly. My all time go to for masa for tamales. Been a customer for well over 20 yrs, no longer in the area but stop by every opportunity & drive the distance for ojas & masa for my Christmas tamales! Excellent family owned business serving the community & beyond! Thank you Irene for so many years of good food & service!

The food is great and the community loves it. Wake up and grab a pot to go get fresh menudo and tamales. The burritos are an absolute… chile verde/ rojo, carnitas, asada, chicharron, bean and cheese, chile relleno, and so much more; tacos, enchiladas, super fries, taquitos. It’s fast service and a great mom and pop establishment to visit every month. Once you eat there once, you want to go back.❤️

Ordered a chile relleno burrito. I liked the fact that it was not greasy. Lacked a little bit of flavor, salt, which is okay. Still good. Be prepared to wait in line for at least 15 minutes or so if its busy. Well worth it. Seems like its family owned. Very lovely people.

Their tamales were very good before lots of meat with a lot of sauce. I haven't been there for a while and the tamales don't have a lot of meat and are very dry. I guess I have to find another tamale place.

This place is a little gem for authentic homestyle Mexican food. A bit pricey for burritos, B n C is $6.50.

It was my first time and I ordered 3 burritos, nachos, and 3 orders of taquitos . they only gave me on 3 (very small) salsas. I asked for 4 more and the woman only gave me one. So i just let it be. I wish they weren't so stingy because the burrito and taquitos were bland. The burritos had more beans than meat.Very disappointed.

We have been coming to Vargas for years. We're talking over 30 years. Their food is still delicious in taste. But my gosh, seeing how they weigh the meat (like carnitas) before they put it in a burrito is kind of shocking. We go to a lot of Mexican food places and watch them make the food, and I have never seen a place measure carnitas or any other meat before they put it in a burrito. And if you get a chili verde or chili colorado burrito here, it is literally almost all beans. We watched the lady make our chili colorado burrito the other day. She put a layer of beans, and when she put in the chili colorado, it was the smallest amount on top of the beans. Same with the chili verde burrito. They hardly put any meat at all. When we got home and ate both burritos, like I said it was all beans. Once in a while we got a piece of meat, but hardly any. We were really disappointed. This has been going on for a while now there. We almost don't want to get their burritos anymore.

Went to buy burritos today and the bean and cheese were very thin mostly tortilla and it was very disappointing. I guess they don't make bean and cheese like they used to sorry guys never again will I be returning.

I went there thinking I'd be able to get a burrito for breakfast. Only to find out they open at 10am. I wish they were open earlier . They'd make a lot more money if they open at least at 8am.

They are stingy with the portions and act like it's a problem when you ask to put more... the young lady that worked their was so nice and made the burritos good !! She was pregnant last I seen her and never came bck!!!! Food doesn't taste the same it gets worse as each time I go now !! My last time I'll ever go back!!
