Clutch is an amazing place with incredible food! I ordered the L.A. Street Dog and the Veggie Burrito. The L.A. Street Dog was absolutely delicious—the sausage was one of the best I've ever had. The burrito was rich and fresh, and the food felt like it was made with the love you'd get from your mom or grandma. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
Super fun Mexican food place in Venice. The food was really solid … loved the chips and guac, and the chicken burrito was in point. Salsa was spicy and well flavored. Great vibe. Yum!
Every time I come here it’s a great vibe , great food and great service . 10 out of 10 the drinks are always on point. Accommodating if anything is distasteful. Definitely one of my go to spots in Venice
Nine dollar spicy margaritas, $11 OG taco plate, jalapeño buttermilk biscuits.. makes this place an oasis in dLDowntown, VB. Great food. Not pricey. Definitely will come back. And it's not only the food, but weirdly enough.. the Feng shui of this place is ideal. Great music too. And I want to thank Oscar, the owner! Very personable! He asked us to move for a party of 6, which we gladly did - no problem. Oscar gave me a free spicy margarita for it. Which I gladly accepted.. yum!
This place has the best food I've had in southern California so far. Their Mexican food is amazing. All sauces are house made and taste incredible. The owner is also incredibly nice and welcoming. If you are in Venice for any reason, eat here.
Never disappoints. Fresh food, delicious flavors, cold beer, fresh margaritas and good service + a nice outdoor seating area in the back. Don’t miss out on the happy hour- but honestly so well priced that it’s always worth visiting Clutch!
The drink selection was decent, good ciders. Michilada was ok. The calamari was delightfully prepared without being over breaded, it was nicely seasoned and paired with a tangy butter lemon sauce and there were several peppers too that added a nice flavor with little to no spice. The Bananarama dessert it light, creamy and full of flavor. Looking forward to coming back to try more items off the menu because everything we ordered and tried was worth reordering and all the other food that came out looked and smelled amazing!
Great place for ceviche! We stopped by on our way to The Venice West for a concert. We wanted a quick bite before getting there. The fish 🐠 ceviche was wonderful. We also had the shrimp ceviche and the house salad. It hit the spot. You can also order Margaritas, and other drinks.
Holy Hanna. Go here now. The Tri tip sandwich, according to Big Sir was a 10/10. I managed to steal a bite. It was better than any BBQ place we've been too. I had the avocado toast. Yes, yes I know. BUT this version elevates the standby to new heights. And its beautiful too. Great place, great prices, friendly staff. And some cute dogs nearby too.
Some of the best BBQ I've had in LA. They used to have a "barbacoa plate" which was amazing but I don't see it on the menu anymore. I recommend the "Clutch sample platter" for 2-3 people. Everything is super good. Highlights are the wings, ribs, and collard greens with bacon. Very good sweet BBQ sauces. Only complaint is it took 20 min for the food to come out and it wasn't even busy.
We ordered and shared the Triloin Steak and the Sampler (combination of a lot of different meats and biscuit and salad) we DID NOT regret going at all- price was decent for the amount of food - meat was very delicious and - the bBq sauce we like better than the other one but were overall very pleased with the overall experience - I’d give a 4.5 , since not possible I’ll give a 5star since in comparison and for the locality it’s really nice ! Very cool ambience, as well.
We came late and they were almost closing but they were very kind to us. They speak Spanish and the food was amazing. We just ordered beans and cheese burritos and they were super good!
The workers very nice and let me substitute the options on my bowl with their pulled pork (weekend special) The bowl was perfect of healthy and filling. I would love to come back to try their bbq and sandwiches

Incredible spot. I’d describe it as “mexican smokehouse”. Everything I had was delicious. Smoked wings were perfect, as were tri tip tacos. Not necessarily cheap (although what is, anymore) but very good and very worthwhile. Will be returning.
We loved everything we had. Pulled pork, tritip, chips n salsa and especially the smoked chicken wings. The absolute best anywhere along with two amazing bbq sauces. Orange zest and classic red with a nice pepper spice. Plus great place to watch a game inside or out.
What a hidden gem! My husband and I were driving around super hungry and we happened to park our car across the street from the place. It didn't look promising but we were down for anything at that point. WHAT A SURPRISE! We had the BEST breakfast burritos here. Even the chips were great. I know it wasn't the hunger speaking because I enjoyed the last bite just as much as I did the first. We will be back!
The best Moscow mule! Not too sweet, not too sour, with raw ginger added 👌

Great small Mexican restaurant that also has some excellent BBQ options. We got the tri-tip sandwich, two steak tacos, and the shredded brisket. All were pretty good, but the shredded brisket was excellent. I would definitely go back for that. The only issue was the beans were a little cold
The Nachos with pulled pork were delicious, and both the Baja tacos and the quesadilla with stake were very tasty. The churros were very enjoyable, filled with warm chocolate and crunchy on the outside. Also, the staff was friendly and welcoming.

I think this place has potential. First, the food. The BBQ tri-tip was done perfectly and tasty. However, their BBQ sauces (at least the ones I received) are all too sweet, which is not a good complement to the tri-tip. The vegetables side also had some sort of sweet glaze, which wasn’t good. The collard greens are underdone and lack seasoning or taste — so those need some work. The barbacoa taco also was lacking in taste, too bland. So, overall the food was hit and miss, but has the right foundations to be great, with a little work. The atmosphere itself, I could see being great on a nice warm sunny day. Totally open, would have a good vibe. On a cold, grey LA day, however, the everything-open situation was downright cold and not at all comfortable (at lease close all the wide open windows in the dining room! On a grey day a fireplace of some sort would really liven things up in there). So, potential for the BBQ is there. Everything else needs work, except the ordering, service, and drinks were great.

We were visiting LA for the first time and decided to try Clutch since it was close to our Airbnb. The food itself was good, but the service completely ruined the experience. The cashier was noticeably rude and dismissive toward us, while smiling and being friendly with other (white/light-skinned) customers. Even when we tried to say thank you on our way out, he ignored us and wouldn’t even make eye contact—despite standing there with no one else in line. It was disappointing and left us feeling unwelcome.
