The maximum score is far too low. I'm virtually unknown to anyone and treated as if I've been a regular customer. Anyone who passes by Vergiate and needs a caffè corretto (a strong espresso) with a smile, a kind word, and the courtesy common among longtime friends, even if it's their only time, will find it time well spent. The snacks for beer and/or aperitivo are plentiful, fresh, and varied, and can be enjoyed standing or sitting down. Try it first, rather than read on.

A centrally located bar, impossible not to stop by! The staff is always smiling and friendly, as is the owner! The pistachio brioches and the creamy, rich espresso are excellent! In the afternoon, they also offer a small buffet for those who want to enjoy a relaxing post-work break in great company! A must-visit!

A classic village square bar, neither praise nor infamy. The Vergiate square it overlooks isn't particularly charming, and the traffic that passes through it takes away any pleasure from looking in.

I've been to this bar two or three times. The owner is very nice, but unfortunately I can't say the same about the staff. Today, I walked in and found two sales assistants at the bar. Even though they were standing right there at the counter waiting, they kept talking to each other as if no one was there, and without even a nod of greeting. I should point out that I'm almost 1.90 m tall, so well above the counter! The thing that bothered me most was that then the regulars arrived, they were immediately greeted and served before me, who had been waiting for a few minutes for a damn coffee. I should point out that the counter was free, so there was no way they could be confused with anyone who had arrived before or after.
