Hospitality That Makes the Difference!!! From the moment we arrived at Minerals Hotel, we felt embraced by warm, impeccable service. But the true highlight of our stay was meeting Michael, the extraordinary manager of Kite Restaurant. Michael doesn’t just manage a restaurant — he curates experiences. He graciously organized a spontaneous marshmallow-roasting evening for us at Frosted Cantina. He personally brought out heaters to keep us warm in the crisp winter air, creating the coziest fireside setting imaginable. we returned to Kite Restaurant, where Michael recommended the Cowboy Steak with au poivre sauce. It was perfectly cooked, rich, peppery sauce with depth and balance, beautifully presented! Michael came to greet us again, sharing more stories and making us feel like honored guests rather than visitors. That personal touch elevates dining into something unforgettable.!!! We love this place !!!
Well, the restaurant was awesome, but the star of the evening was the manager Michael. He made sure that all of our concerns were addressed. He was able to elevate our experience to a higher level. Will be back soon. Excellent stake and drinks. Good time at the fire place. Must do….
Barbara was our server . She was terrific- extremely helpful and cheerful. She really made our dining experience so special! We’re very grateful to her-
Barbara was our sever and Sam was our bartender. Both ladies were amazing and went above and beyond! Food, drinks and service were all amazing!
Thank you Dorotea for an amazing customer service experience and making sure we were satisfied and well taken care of. Also, thank you Jason for being serving us and making us amazing drinks. We definitely love how well you took care of us. FYI, we did had bad experience the night before and Dorotea and Jason listen to our concerns and make sure we were fully satisfied. We will make sure to continue to return. Food is amazing.
We had an amazing experience thanks to Joandee, our server! He was friendly, professional, and incredibly attentive! His menu recommendations were spot on, and his genuine care for our experience really stood out. The food was great, but Joandee’s service made the night unforgettable. We’ll definitely be back, and I hope he’s our server again!
I had a great meal and the waiter was very helpful. The music was a nice touch too with live performance of acoustic set for Saturday night dinner. The reviews had me on the fence but it was a relaxing end to a relaxing retreat at the mineral springs resort.
My family and I had the most delicious dinner. Our server was Natalia and her service was fantastic. Our food was also amazing. Just overall a perfect dinner experience to finish our night at this resort. This restaurant topped our expectations! Thank you
My husband and I stopped by here and so glad we did ! We went Saturday night and sat at the bar - such an amazing time and the bartender (sorry forgot his name) was so attentive and recommended the scallops which I’m glad he did they were excellent. Very friendly casual atmosphere- hope to be back soon.
We had a wonderful breakfast at Kites Restaurant! The food was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The classic breakfast plate with eggs, crispy bacon, and golden potatoes was perfectly cooked and satisfying. The pancakes were fluffy and light, topped with powdered sugar and served with butter and syrup—absolutely delicious! The avocado eggs Benedict was another highlight, with perfectly poached eggs and creamy hollandaise sauce over fresh avocado and toasted English muffins. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting—perfect for a relaxing start to the day. Definitely a great spot for both traditional breakfast lovers and those looking for something a little more special. Highly recommend trying breakfast here—you won’t be disappointed! 🥞🍳🥓☕
Hello to all my gluten free /Celiac friends today. Me and my husband visited this very nice hotel. I have seen a lot of reviews about gluten-free in this restaurant and let me tell you all about it. For lunch I had the veggie bowl which was gluten free on the menu and I want to give a shout out to Dennis for helping me with that and not get sick and not get any reaction. For breakfast I want to give a shout out to Conner for helping me take a very simple yet delicious breakfast. There are so many gluten-free options that had ham and bacon but unfortunately I don't have any of those. So I just had two scrambled eggs with a fruit and the coffee was really good. And for dinner shout out to Olivia, making me pick the most delicious flat iron steak and I substituted the sweet potato fries. The mashed potato and it was delicious. So if you have a gluten allergy, please let them know. They are very well familiar with it and enjoy dinner.
Kites Restaurant truly exceeded all expectations! Nana our server and the manager Dorotea From the moment we walked in, the service was nothing short of exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic dining experience. Every detail was handled with care, and their professionalism was impressive. The food was incredible, and the atmosphere made it even more enjoyable. I can't wait to revisit and enjoy another outstanding experience. Highly recommend Kites to anyone looking for top-notch service and an unforgettable meal!
Looked at reviews which most of them were bad but figured we would give it a shot and see how it really was. We went for lunch our first day and decided to play it safe with burgers. After the first bite we couldn’t get past the burnt taste. It was a decent size but too burnt. We only ate half of it. Stayed away for dinner figuring it would be the same stuff and just as bad. The only reason I’m giving three stars is because of the breakfast. It wasn’t the greatest but it was ok. Great service but the food is terrible.
I have to say that we were expecting more from this restaurant being part of a nice hotel/resort. We didn’t check the reviews and that was mistake number 1 on us. The halibut was prepared nicely and tasted good but came out cold. The rack of lamb again was tasty but undercooked. The truffle fries also were cold. In the end we were disappointed with the execution of the food but we had a good time anyway because Dan was a good server. A resort restaurant like this really needs to step up its game.
Had the Eggs Benedict. Not good. Eggs were over done, almost hard boiled. Strong vinegar taste. English muffin tastes stale and chewy. Hash browns were prefab diced and possibly deep fried.
We stayed at the Minerals Hotel and visited Kites Restaurant for both a dinner as well as their breakfast buffet. Dinner: Not sure if it is all the time, but we were there on a Saturday night and they had live music. Honestly, it was incredibly loud to the point that it was unpleasant. The band was fine, but volume was just MUCH louder than it needed to be in a restaurant the size it was. I shouldn't need to shout over our small 2 person table to speak to someone sitting across from me. We had the calamari appetizer. The calamari was tasty, but a bit overdone/rubbery. The banana peppers being fried as well was a pleasant/fun surprise. I ordered scallops and linguini - the scallops were a tad overdone but not bad. They looked like they had a beautiful sear but it was a bit soggy instead of the crust you would expect looking at it. The linguini was described to have a butternut squash sauce - I honestly forgot that was the flavor until I looked at the menu again. It was also described to have pancetta - what was on my plate looked and tasted more like pre-cooked microwaveable bacon that you find in boxes on the shelves. My husband ordered a flat iron steak with chimchuri, described to have caramelized brussel sprouts. The chimchuri sauce was kinda weak (but not entirely bad), but the brussel sprouts were basically boiled in both looks and taste. We were celebrating our anniversary and honestly it was a bit lackluster for the price point. The meal did not want us to return to this for dinner in the future. Again, it wasn't *bad*, just didn't feel our meals were as the menu described nor at a price point that reflected that. Breakfast buffet: pretty good actually. Nice selection of eggs, omelette station, breads, etc. Delicious yogurt parfait.
I recently visited Kites and had a mixed experience. The ambiance and decor were quite inviting, creating a pleasant dining atmosphere. However, I found the prices to be quite steep for the quality and portion sizes of the food. While the service was friendly and attentive, the overall value for money left something to be desired. If you're looking for a special occasion spot and don't mind splurging, Kites might be worth a visit, but be prepared for a higher bill than expected.
The service and atomosphere was good played calming music and service was really well, Although those were great for the amount of money you are paying for food you don’t get a lot of quantity or quality. All together it was $42 dollars for slices of pizza that tasted decent but tasted bland, The wings are the better meal to order but for paying $19 for wings you get 6 wings that taste decently well i recommend getting the buffalo wings.
Kite Restaurant has a wonderful vibe—it’s cozy and a great spot to grab a drink while enjoying live music during dinner. The atmosphere and view are definite highlights, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. However, the food was disappointing. I tried the Cheeseburger with lettuce wraps, which had way too much lettuce and was served cold. The burger itself could have been cooked better and seasoned more thoroughly. We also tried the Flat Iron Steak, but unfortunately, it was also cold, and the chimichurri sauce lacked flavor. The Brussels sprouts were almost raw and completely flavorless, which was a letdown. If you’re looking for a place to relax with drinks and live music, Kite is worth visiting, but I wouldn’t recommend it for the food. Hopefully, they can improve their menu to match the great atmosphere.
The food here was disappointing. My family and I ordered five different dishes — from chicken parm to pot roast, short ribs, and salmon — and none of us finished our meals. Each plate went back nearly 40% uneaten. The only things we genuinely enjoyed were the complimentary bread and the buffalo wings, which ended up being better than the actual entrées. Overall, it was a letdown and not a great experience.
Went for Thanksgiving diner. 5 of us had the $60 a head turkey diner. All came out cold and small portion for the cost. The waitress was very accommodating , would not recommend or return . No excuses for cold food.
Went for Thanksgiving. Food came out cold and small portion for $50. Sent back, still was cold. Would never return. No excuse for cold food. Invited friends and family which were totally disappointed.
Breakfast was kinda included ($40 per day credit) so we went there 3 times, 2 Breakfast and 1 dinner. 1st breakfast would have been fine, except it took so long to get that i had to box it because I was now late for my spa appointment. 2nd breakfast, my daughter received the driest pancakes, said they were terrible. A man sitting across from us returned his because they were under cooked. I asked for poached eggs, they came in a bowl of water with no spoon to get them out, had to do it with my fork and of course they both broke into the bowl. A slotted spoon in the kitchen, or a spoon delivered with the eggs, 2 very easy solutions. If only wait staff was around to get me a spoon. A few other minor issues, I won't bother with. Dinner, Chimichurri skirt steak. Over cooked meat and the chimichurri sauce seemed like it was cooked into a ugly green mush. The Brussel sprouts were hard, barely cooked. I ordered French onion soup. It was pale blonde in color and very bland. The dominant flavor was worcertishire sauce. Sweet potato fries came with no sauce for dipping. There was a list of teas, of course they didn't have the one I asked for. All of these things on there own are small and normal I would just note and get past, but 3 disappointing visits is not acceptable
I wasn’t too sure about the negative reviews, until I tried it myself. We had scallop and wings for starters. Scallops were ok, but the paired sauce was terrible. Wings was the first nightmare. Meat is oily and smells bad, teriyaki sauce was toooooooo salty to feel the real taste. For main entrees, my wife had ribs and I ordered steak. Ribs were not proper cooked. It tasted terrible, especially with the thick, salty, sour sauce. Steak was the 2nd nightmare. Not properly cooked, and paired with some sauce and I can hardly smell. :( terrible experience but waiter was friendly enough to cover a small part of this experience. Impo, they really have to fire the chef……..
Needs work. First we ordered fountain drinks and there was a problem with the drinks. It tasted off and the server was apologetic saying it wasn’t working. I ordered a watermelon margarita and it was good. The kids pizza was terrible (very doughy) and the food came out cold. I ordered the cod and it was rubbery and bland (see photo) I had to season with salt and pepper. My friend ordered the stuffed shrimp and it was cold and she felt the food was a little undercooked. Her daughter wanted a plain cheeseburger burger but she got a burger with everything including the cooked onions. We removed everything ourselves and the server gave her a new bun (bottom part only). I was told that they are changing the menu and hopefully it will be better. Good luck!
