This place is an absolute GEM. My favorite pizza is the margherita with fresh garlic. Also recently tried the carbonara and it was fantastic!! Love Bella Gente.

Excellent restaurant. Been there several times. Service and food is first class. Will be heading there this Sunday for my Mom's 94th birthday.

Food was delicious, portions were great wait staff were decent, seating space was decent, parking is a little rough on bloomfield but I'd definitely eat here again

Was catered to a small party of 25. Food was delicious!!! Wish they were closer to home as the pizza and chicken parmigiana was exceptionally good.

The pizza was exceptional. Fresh and tasty. The tiramisu was light, fluffy and absolutely a taste of heaven.

The four of us went for lunch. The food was amazingg!!! The portions are amazing!! We had the margherita pizza, rustica pizza, orechete pasta, chicken franchese. All of the food was amazing!! The flavors were true to the Italian core. We had Alex as our server and he was very attentive! Tirmasu was excellent! We will definitely be back.

This place has been here for thirty years, but is still as good as the day it opened. The pasta is amazing, the orichette w/ rabe and sausage is a favorite, but even the basic tomato that my mother always orders is expertly prepared. It's a BYOB pasta joint that's also served great artisanal pizza since before it was cool. Most dishes clock in below $15, and a family of four can get out of here for well below $100 counting tip and the bottle of wine they brought--I've frequently seen bills below $60 for four adults including appetizers. I've moved out of the area, but it's still a comforting throwback for whenever I visit. I wish South Jersey had places like this. I've had >$100 plates worse than a simple $13 Orichette here (LeCirque, I'm looking at you--Thank god I wasn't paying)

Food was delicious with large portions and the staff was friendly and attentive. Price was not bad either especially for the portion sizes! Pizza is delicious too!

This past weekend my new husband and I hosted our Rehearsal dinner here, and I couldn't be happier with the outcome!!! The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, professional, and attentive, the prices were extremely reasonable, and the private room was just perfect for our event. Our guests enjoyed the whole experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant for a private party OR for a nice dinner out!!! Love love love!

Great food and perfect spot to bring family and friends for dinner. Never had a bad experience with any of their dishes. There's typically seating available right away, which is perfect (and puzzling why this place isn't packed every night, but works great for me). Make sure you bring your own wine as this is a BYOB place.

My family and I really enjoyed this place today. Great service, great food, and ambience. My father actually went to the kitchen door to pay compliments to the chefs and the toddler with us, picky eater, enjoyed his entire meal. Highly recommend! BYOB, parking lot in the back, clean, friendly atmosphere - everything was wonderful!

I always look for a signature dinner when I'm on vacation. Bella Gente is absolutely our signature memory of this trip. The staff was attentive and thoughtful without being intrusive. The food was excellent. The portions were all Italian sized. My wife had the steak strip tagliatelle, a special, and it was melt in your mouth tender; and the chef adapted it to keto.

Delicious artisinal pizza and it is definitely worth trying the Penne ala Vodka! Pickup is fast and easy and the restaurant is cute inside.

Went in for a slice, but it's more of a sit down restaurant. Left with 2 delicious personal pizzas. The food was excellent.

Bella Gente is a small Italian restaurant on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair. We discovered it by accident. The restaurant has 2 sections, the restaurant and the pizzeria. We ate at the pizza section. My wife and I ordered a personal pizza which was more than adequate for both of us.The pizza was superb,some of the best I've had in years. We live about 17,18 miles from Bella Gente and we will be going back.

From very casual to very cosy and romantic depending upon which room you choose to sit in. Either way, you can expect to have excellent service, large portions and very good food. Have been there many, many times either for large parties or quaint dinner for two and never been disappointed.

We've been here many times, perhaps it was best when the old rispoli restaurant folks were around It's just not the same the past few years Not the pizzaaria, the dining room 😉

This place is a fixture. It has been here forever. The food is good. The environment desperately needs a renovation. It is old, tired and dingy.

As a an Inspector General of Federal Government the food not too bad service could be better

Unfortunately, this place has steadily gone downhill in the last year! They used to have one of the best pizza makers in town. Light, crispy crust with fresh and tasty toppings. NOW... a soggy, doughy, greasy mess is how it's best described. The worst thing they did was get rid of the older gentleman who made their pizza's, the guy on their menus. What a shame!!! Sorry, Bella Gente but you've lost another customer who frequently eats out.

ordered delivery and it took 3 hours. they told us it would be there in 1 hour but it was not. called twice and was assured t would be there soon but it took 3 hours. not impressed. would not order again.

I have ordered from them before and their pizza is delicious. It is very expensive for the small size they offer and I ordered four pies this evening and it was ice cold and one pie had slices without any sauce on them at all. We have ordered prior to tonight and the food has been delicious but this is unacceptable.

I will never eat at this establishment again. We've been going to Belle Gente for years, and loved it. Then, tonight, they lost our business. 1) they jacked up their prices. A lot. 2) they listed shrimp scampi on linguine, but served shrimp scampi on vegetables--and then insisted that the only way to get pasta was as a side, at 5 bucks. 3) (and this is the killer) we ate, AND ordered take-out, and tipped the terribly mediocre waiter 15 % on the food we ate in the restaurant (but excluded the amount for the take-out). He had the temerity to challenge me on the tip amount--in front of my guest, and with the manager in earshot. We eat out a lot. I mean, a lot. I have never been so angry at a restaurant.

The most obnoxious waiter actually had the nerve to confront the tip left for him in front of a friend being treated, when he was given more than 15% of the in-dining order....where do waiters have the nerve to do this?? If I wasn't with a guest I would have told him off, and the management. New menus and obnoxious service...diner's beware
