The Ancient Space Cats

What can I say... it's one of those places that's neither good nor bad, ideal if you're passing through the area, but nothing more. The management has changed, but the current menu is very basic, too old-fashioned... (80s, I'd say...) I expected a little more choice in meat dishes and side dishes. It took me a while to decide what to order, since I didn't want pizza. The seafood spaghetti was fine... the portions were generous... but nothing that adds anything new or puts a personal touch on the dishes... so I can only say "I'll be back". The place was practically empty, which is very strange for a restaurant on the weekend. The service could be better... a little inattentive... I must have asked for cutlery three times between courses because if you take them away, I don't eat with my hands... it should be automatic to bring them back to the table. And it was ONLY us. Just enough for the kitchen, I hope the pizzeria keeps them afloat for a long time... because we can't make it with the rest.

This restaurant-bar is a prime example of how appearances can be deceiving! The location and ambiance are basic, perhaps borderline so... but the quality of the food, in my case the fish, is excellent. The price is not to be underestimated; it's very reasonable, and raises the restaurant's overall rating. Excellent value for money!

The location is unpretentious and 1980s-esque, as is the cuisine, which is disappointing and unpretentious. Luckily, it's cheap and the service is fast...very fast.
