Back after a good 4 years... following a visit to the adjacent Castello di Soncino. Everything, as always, was excellent and homemade... Exquisite casoncelli and ribs with cabbage. The welcome was always top-notch, and prices, although slightly increased as they all have been since Covid, were truly low. Truly like home. Signora Franca and her sister Anna make their guests happy. We stumbled upon this old-fashioned trattoria by chance, thanks to the Google reviews. And we had a great time. The welcome was like family. The food was even better. Delicious homemade ravioli. Excellent old-fashioned lasagna. Excellent roasted porchetta. Fresh garden salad. Homemade plum tart. All in a typical trattoria setting. The price was right. With a little wine and a limoncello... Just over €20 per person. What more could you ask for? We'll definitely be back for a nice picnic.

We found it by chance. Trattoria Cooperativa is nestled in the green countryside of Soncino. A simple place with outdoor seating, welcoming, and friendly staff. They serve traditional local dishes, excellently prepared and reasonably priced. We ordered two first courses, two second courses, two side dishes, water, wine, and two coffees, and spent €44. Highly recommended, and we'll definitely be back!

Nov 25: We tried to go on a Sunday, February 2, 2025, while visiting Soncino, but no table was available. On our way back from Verona, we finally made a reservation in the morning. The tables were antique-style, the restaurant was unobtrusive, but the welcome was excellent. During the week, there was a fixed menu, but "casoncelli" pasta was also available. A generous portion of pasta with sausage and garlic/oil ragù, stewed rabbit, meatballs, and roast potatoes and cooked herbs as a side. Everything was good and reasonably priced. We'll be back, but we'll book ahead.

We had lunch for two: cozy place, well-kept, fast service and very friendly staff. Reservations are recommended. Located about 3 km from the village of Soncino and about 19 km from the city of Crema. We recommend the casoncelli with cooked ham, the roast rabbit (from their own breeding), the polenta and the pear jam tart. Home cooking, right portions and good prices. Recommended!!!

We were visiting Soncino and were looking for somewhere to eat; all the restaurants in town were closed. A few minutes outside the center, we found Trattoria Cooperativa, which was open. They offer a set menu for €15.00, good, home-style food, and they welcome you like family. I ordered spaghetti with meat sauce, grilled chicken breast with salad, and the crostata for dessert, which was very good. I would definitely return.

I stopped in for coffee on a Saturday morning. The place is very small, and it feels like stepping back in time in this family-run trattoria, isolated from the rest of the world. Reading the menu, the dishes are typical of the area and hard to find elsewhere. The owners are kind and helpful. UPD: Lunch on a Saturday at midday. Good quality, super fast service, and friendly staff. Recommended for a home-cooked meal.

This restaurant, located 3 km from Soncino, was where we hoped to find authentic, home-style flavors. The place is very basic, with outdoor seating. The homemade food is very standard: a simple appetizer of mixed cured meats with artichokes and giardiniera (pickled vegetables). Casoncelli pasta is quite good but lacks character. The lasagna, which was definitely reheated, seemed to have a long shelf life, and the presentation was appalling. The vitello tonnato was slathered sparingly with sauce. It was all accompanied by half a liter of house wine and a liter of water, followed by two coffees and a liqueur. The bill, €50 (for two people), seemed excessive for the quality and location, in my opinion. The service was friendly, but I wouldn't return.
