We arrived a little late for lunch, but they seated us anyway. We ate a delicious braised beef with polenta and truly excellent porcini mushrooms in this cozy restaurant. For dessert, a mascarpone and chocolate tart. The service was excellent; the waitress who served us was very friendly and attentive, making us feel at ease without being intrusive.

A classic pizzeria and restaurant in the center of Valbondione, established decades ago. One of the few places in the area that's always open. At lunchtime, they offer a tourist menu at a more than reasonable price.

A pleasant surprise. I've always frequented a restaurant further down the valley, but this will become my go-to in the area. Given the favorable season, I had lunch featuring fresh porcini mushrooms, Angus tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, and taragna polenta. The portions and prices are worth a visit.

I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food. The tagliata with porcini mushrooms was tender and flavorful, the casoncelli were average but well-cooked, and the pizza bianca with porcini mushrooms definitely exceeded expectations, both in terms of the dough and cooking (thin and slightly crispy) and the quality of the ingredients. The dessert (profiteroles) was tasty and well-served. The atmosphere was a bit vintage, but pleasant and appropriate for the location. Service was fairly quick (compared to other reviews, I thought it was adequate for the number of customers, which were quite numerous), but a bit slow in timing the dishes coming out of the kitchen. As for the cooking of the meat... I wasn't asked anything, and coincidentally, it arrived cooked to perfection (for my personal taste). In short, recommended for dinner if you're in the area, even if just for a quick pizza!

First things first: the place isn't bad; in fact, it's quite welcoming. As for the food, I don't have much to say. Five of us ordered portions of mountain-style venison with polenta, which had quite a few flaws. First of all, there was a strong smell of badly decanted wine coming from the plates. Furthermore, the meat was clearly mixed with fresher and less fresh meat, tougher than any other venison stew I've ever had (we noticed the difference in meat by cutting the various pieces and observing the different levels of cooking); the accompanying polenta was absolutely nothing special. The sixth person in our party ordered a pizza, which he said was decent. The pizza cost €9, while our main course was €16 and was truly borderline edible. We also ordered a portion of porcini mushrooms and a portion of grilled vegetables as sides, and they were edible. You guys have your thoughts. FINAL TIP: check your bill because there might be some surprises, like an extra bottle of water you didn't consume 😉 (we pointed this out once we'd paid and checked the receipt, and we got our money back).

The food was truly awful. We waited two hours for food that they completely forgot to serve us, even having the nerve to serve other people. I wouldn't recommend this "restaurant" to anyone.

Terrible experience. 80 minutes between the appetizer and the main course. After eating the first course, the second course was sent back. Ask for the dessert menu and they mock you. Absolutely not recommended.
