Great place. My 15 year old nephew's favorite place to eat. We come several times a week. The staff know us well. Lucas' tradition is to play "Rock, Paper, Scissors" with our waiter or waitress on every visit. He normally wins. But not always. Love this place.
I had some doubts before visiting this restaurant, but I gave it a try and enjoy this very good food and service. Plenty of parking, great flavor, and best of all, a very good price. I recommend it.
Adam was great from the moment we walked in. He greeted us right away and was friendly and welcoming without being over the top. Even though it was busy, he stayed organized and kept things running smoothly. He gave us a clear wait time and made sure everyone was taken care of. It really set a good tone for the night. Solid service and a great first impression.
I came in there about an hour or two ago on a date and I just wanted to come on here and compliment the host Adam he was very attentive and made sure we got sat exactly where we wanted and fast he checked up on us more than the server did which we were very appreciative of he made our experience very good! We come here quite a bit and hope to see him again soon!
This ramen spot absolutely exceeded my expectations! The broth was rich and full of flavor, the noodles were perfectly cooked, and every topping tasted fresh and intentional. You can tell they really care about the quality of their food. But what truly made the experience stand out was Adam. From the moment we walked in, he made us feel welcome and taken care of. He was friendly, attentive, and genuinely enthusiastic about the menu. He gave great recommendations and checked in at just the right times without being overbearing. It’s rare to find someone who elevates the whole dining experience just by their attitude and professionalism, but Adam definitely does.
Sublime sustenance, succinct service, serene setting. Savory soups stewed superbly. Servings sliced, seared, and sous-vide to sweet satisfaction. So suffer no substitutes and seek supreme sushi at Hokkaido. Still, So many superfluous syllables strategically spent to supplant a sole sound - simply said, it's SPLENDID. Also shout out to Miguel, fantastic server.
One must record, with the utmost propriety, the exemplary service rendered by our server, Miguel. From the moment of our arrival, he conducted himself with a composure and attentiveness befitting the finest establishments of the realm. His manner was splendid in its restraint, yet warm in its consideration; indeed, every request was anticipated with a grace that can only be described as splentastic. The timing of each course, the quiet assurance with which recommendations were offered, and the unfailing courtesy displayed throughout the evening combined to create an experience of the highest order. In short, Miguel’s service was nothing less than splenderific, and it would be most remiss of this reviewer not to commend him most heartily for elevating the entire dining occasion to something quite exceptional.
We stopped by this restaurant for a quick lunch during our trip, and it turned out to be a very satisfying choice for our family. We ordered ramen noodles, a sushi roll, and chashu don. The food was enjoyable overall. The ramen wasn’t fully authentic, but it was still decent and absolutely acceptable for the price point. The sushi roll and chashu don were flavorful and well prepared. The restaurant has a cozy, welcoming atmosphere, making it a comfortable place to relax and recharge during our day. One detail that really stood out was the restroom. It was thoughtfully stocked with a variety of personal care items, allowing guests to freshen up before leaving. That level of attention to customer comfort left a very positive impression. Overall, a solid spot for a casual meal while traveling—good food, fair prices, and considerate service.
Pleasantly surprised going to a ramen restaurant for the first time. Spicy beef ramen with FIRE heat was tasty. Gyoza (pan fried chicken dumplings) was a light appetizer. Came during a busy time with all the tables full but service was still great. Easy to go bowl for what we didn’t finish.
This was a fantastic sushi spot. I ordered the firework roll and hamachi heaven roll, and both were phenomenal. I also had the seaweed salad and edamame, also delicious! The price was pretty average. The wait-staff was top-notch. This is the sushi spot you want to stop at if at all possible while in Waco. Now I have been here twice and I can confirm, this place is fantastic. We tried ramen and tempura cheese this time and both were wonderful! The cheecake was so unique with a salty sweet vibe going on. We even had our waitress try it with us (she hadn't tried it yet). Again, this place has awesome food and great wait-staff. Don't miss this place.
A well liked local eatery for sushi with some ramem options. Casual environment. A shout out to our server Emma. When not attending customers she was bussing tables. よくできました。
The server was awesome. Help with selecting a different dish. Had some extra heat added to it. Only downside was they don't offer a seafood ramen. The Beef rib ramen was really good. The fried cheese cake was good but a drizzle of strawberry or chocolate would have made it outstanding
The reviews mislead me!! We visited from out of state and were excited to eat here based on the awesome reviews. Unfortunately it was just not a good experience. The passionfruit bubble tea was bitter, both our ramen dishes were very oily, the egg was over cooked, there was only one thin slice of meat in my dish despite the price... I wanted to love it so badly.
Pretty standard sushi experience. We started with the crab rangoon, which were decent - the filling was creamy, but the wrappers were a little on the greasy and tough crispy side. For the sushi, we tried LOL rolls and Hamachi heaven rolls. They were fresh enough, and the presentation was fine, nothing particularly exciting though. We ended with two Hokkaido milk tea (boba). The service was also just okay; our server (Jonathan M.) was polite and attentive. Overall, it wasn't a bad meal, but it wasn't particularly memorable either. It's a solid option if you're looking for a no-frills sushi spot.
Delicious, but estimated wait time of 30 minutes for take out… can easily be over an hour… or they give your order to someone else (it’s happened to us, it’s happened to Uber Eats drivers picking up in line before us). Seafood is fresh. But organization, timeliness, customer service— awful. We are stuck though- bc we love fresh/raw seafood— & it’s Waco… but they are way subpar in the service department.
I hate doing this because the service was really good. Even though I got my order to go the person would set up my meal got everything in the bag (it was a lot) and the host that gave me my food was super polite, the problem was the food. I only gave two stars instead of one because the broth was excellent as always. However the beef rib was so fatty with more skin than meat. The Texas roll which is $14 came with only six pieces, my marinated eggs which I bought extra of because they are my favorite were overdone (might have been okay if they were kept whole instead of cut open) and overall it was just a super disappointing meal for the $90 I spent including the tip. I don’t know when the quality took a dive but I used to love coming here. The last few times have just not been up to par.
The service that me and my group received here was ridiculous! We were in the back left next to the bathrooms and we arrived at 6pm on Wednesday. Appetizers were brought out very quick and my food was as well. However my group had to wait for almost an HOUR for the rest of their food and the waitress accidentally dropped half of one of the entrees on the table and into one of my friends drinks and did not offer us a remake or a refill we had to ask for it after she asked if we wanted the check! She didn't check on us at all unless food was brought and the time that she asked if we wanted the check. She asked two of us if we wanted refills on our drinks the other two sat with empty glasses basically more than half the night. We finally got our remake (after they asked if we wanted ANOTHER ONE TO PAY FOR or a remake for what was dumped) and she didn't check on us for another 40 minutes! Had to wave her down to get the check. Saw her chatting with other servers or just standing in the corner just looking around basically the whole time. And at the end of the night she didn't know how to split a check! Managers of this establishment: don't put your servers on the floor until they are TRAINED FULLY regardless of low staffing! It seemed like her first server shift! We showed up at 6 and didn't leave until 8. I enjoyed the food so hopefully I can place to go orders but as my first time at this establishment I do not want to get sit down service here ever again!
Food was amazing. Worst service we have had in a long time. Server would not clear table, we asked a busser and he refused saying it was the servers job. Asked for towels as my grandson spilled his drink and they were never brought. Had the server bring me napkins finally. Another server cleared the table of the dishes when asked. Very hectic and chaotic atmosphere. Food has also changed. Ramen was greasier than normal and not near spicy enough. We will not be back.
My girlfriend and I came for dinner and our waiter was not very attentive at all. First off we ordered the crab ragoons and my gf bit into like idek a weird piece of onion or something that definitely wasn't supposed to be in the food. Then we ordered beef fried rice. That literally had almost no beef in it despite it being an up charge. As well as when we ordered drinks, my gf wanted a diet coke, our waiter offered a dietPepsi because that's all they had and told us he wouldn't charge for it...he charged us for it anyways at the end. We ordered two rolls that also were OK. I didn't touch one at all, and our waiter saw and didn't care nor did he ever check up on us. We waited like 10 minutes alone just looking at him on his phone talking with all the other servers ignoring us. I had to get up and walk over and ask for the check. Our server apologized for the wait and said "Sorry its never this slow so we dont usually get to all hangout and talk." So he ignored usto sit there and chat with his coworkers on their phones. Anyways, he came over and our bill came to about $57 before tip for us to not even get bare minimum service and not even touch our food. I dont remember his name but he had a bunch of facial piercings, super chill dude just bad service, slow and not attentive.
This used to be one of my favorite restaurants, which makes tonight’s experience really disappointing. We ordered two boba teas (about $6 each) and after starting to drink them realized there was no boba at all in either cup. No big deal — mistakes happen — so we flagged down our waitress to ask about it. Unfortunately, the explanation we got was confusing and contradictory. First, she explained how she poured the drinks and said she added extra juice to “make up” for the missing boba. When I asked why we weren’t told there was no boba before ordering, she then said she didn’t know there was no boba. Both can’t be true. We assumed the drinks would at least be discounted since the main ingredient was missing, but we were charged full price. When we asked to speak to a manager, we were told there was no one available to talk to. To make matters worse, after we handed our waitress (Destiny G) a cash tip, she went to her coworkers and began speaking negatively about us. If we had been told upfront that boba was unavailable, we simply wouldn’t have ordered the drinks. Selling an item without its main component — without disclosure or adjustment — isn’t something we can support. We’ve loved this place in the past, but after tonight, we won’t be returning.
This placed used to be really good. We have eaten there several times. But, we went there yesterday for lunch and the service was terrible. The sushi roll came out pretty quick but my friend waited for about 20-25 minutes for a ramen bowl. Their excuse was "we are short handed". The waitress could not answer any questions because this "was her 2nd shift on the job". They were out of the small sushi bowls. If this is the case, why not let people know upon arrival? Will probably never go there again.
Will never order from this place again. Ordered Chicken rich Ramen, and came with no broth at all. Also ordered a couple of dragon rolls from door dash and the eel was almost completely black with one slither of a piece of meat that looked somewhat edible. The photo of the Ramen was taken after my sister added water to it. Not to mention you couldn't eat the chicken because it was so dry.
