Friendly staff member, and I wish I had her name, came out and took my order while I had been waiting in line. Pulled around to the front if the line, and order fulfilled. Great burger, which I don't eat much of. 5 star rating--but deserves a 10!!!
Yes, the service was a little slow, but please keep in mind that they make it AS YOU ORDER IT. Friendly service. Always willing to make the burger YOUR way. No obvious complaints. Amazing onion rings and willing to give extra ketchup and dressing.😄
For a long time I've had a negative outlook on Whataburger, but this particular restaurant has changed my mind. Food is always delicious, service is friendly and fast and orders are always accurate. I love this establishment

This was my first visit to this chain...I'm not sure what I expected, but I got way more than that! Service was absolutely amazing and the food was right there with it! My sandwich was as big as my face! Well worth the money! This trip was a "date" with one of my kids...he paid and everything...the manager and one of the servers both went out of their way to make sure they told him what a gentleman he was and just overall made him feel really good about being a young man and treating me like a lady. Thank you again for the great first experience.
The double burger is fairly big as double burgers 🍔 go. I get mine fully loaded with or add green chilies. The fries are the best !!! Like a year later they are still one of the best burgers in Lubbock.
Possibly the best Whataburger in town. It had been awhile since I had visited this location , but I stopped there last night . There was approximately 8 cars in line , I figured I wouldn't have time to wait . However I was amazed , they kept moving the cars right through the line. I was at the window getting my food after only being in line for 7 minutes. I also stressed that I wanted fresh fries. I got very fresh fries and a great burger. Great job guys . I will be back . I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION

I was with a group of people late in the evening, and after trying multiple fast food restaurants with their dining rooms closed, we finally found this Whataburger. Not only was the dining room open past 10 pm, but the manager was working so hard to make sure we were all happy. Even though I normally prefer other fast food chains, I’d gladly come back here!
This is definitely one of the most consistently good Whataburger locations I’ve been to. Saturday night or Monday lunch, it’s always so fresh, fast and friendly service. I do recommend a Patty Melt dipped in gravy!

The staff working the inside and drive tonight deserve a raise! The food was great, get the double meat Whataburger add cheese and bacon! Sivi (I hope I had that spelt right) and another gentleman were at the registers inside and were both super nice and they were super fast! Favorite Whataburger in Lubbock!
We arrived at the drive thru on 4th St around 7pm, the line of cars was already 6+. The lady that took our order listened intently and repeated it back to us spot-on. The wait was understandable and not too terribly long considering how busy it was. The guy that took our money was polite and professional, and we got our food exactly the way we ordered it (we parked to double check). Overall, great experience and customer service. Highly recommend.

Went here on a Monday night and the place was Hopping! Walked in, placed my order, and waited. Thought I’d be waiting for sometime based on drive through volume and dining room popularity. 7 min later I had my order (they got it mostly right) and was walking back to my car. Love us some WhatABurger!!

Always the best on the weekends. A bunch of teenagers during the weekend but they stay on the ball and my food is always hot and never have to wait long.
I can't afford to go here as much as I would love to, which i guess health wise is a good thing. I always get their #5 with a strawberry milkshake.

The staff is consistently friendly and efficient. The seating area is clean and there are plenty of booths. A customer accidentally spilled a drink while we were here today and the manager reacted compassionately and quickly. Our favorite Whataburger in Lubbock.
Food was extremely delicious! Place very clean. Employees wore matching uniforms. Place look very professional. Prices were low. Plenty of parking and very clean! Restroom was clean. Atmosphere was quiet. Staff were always smiling. Food was delivered to where I was sitting!
When working in Lubbock I eat at this Whataburger. The food is always good. But unfortunately like a lot of places. The service is slow and seems to take a while.
I placed a breakfast order at 10:57am and i did not noticed it kicked it till 11pm the same day, one of the managers was so helpful and said that he would push it through it would just take a a bit since they had to make it fresh. I really believe this manager is the way to go. Thank you for making this happen for us.
I love their spicy chicken sandwich, but a few of the employees need to learn customer service. I went there with my daughter and grandson and we stood at the counter for about 5 minutes before someone said they'd be right with us. There were 2 workers already at the register and it wasn't busy at all, but they both ignored us and walked away. Once we did get help we didn't have anymore trouble. Their chocolate mint shake was really good as well.At least I liked the sandwich and shake. 🙂
The young people working there were so nice & helpful! I've only been to WB a handful of times but she was very patient & friendly with me. My order took a little longer b/c I ordered the fish, but they got it out quicker than expected. And the fish was tender, flaky and very tasty! (Although I think I'll just order the fillet next time...the "sandwich" part wasn't too impressive. But I'm not griping! The fish was really good! 😅
Language barrier between manager and I was complex, but food is always good. As far as the rest of the employees to much cussing. Overall I will go back just not with my kids.

Food like any other of the chain always good. Waits are longer than expected for what you're getting and the building could be a little cleaner. I'm only saying this because the floors were both sticky and slippery and restrooms were not well cleaned.

Stopped by the speaker, perused the menu, had Avery patient and proficient experience. We pulled up in line to the right lane where we were greeted with our drinks and made payment. Suddenly we had lunch and were on the go. Great!

The food and service was great but the trainer of duty was doing everything herself and for some reason got chastised by the manager for actually doing her job, while there were 2 female workers hiding in the bathroom not doing their jobs that didn't get in trouble!!!! Make it make sense the manager should do better or get replaced by the wonderful female trainer.
A lot of locations get everything right, but others get it completely wrong, or take a long time. The food is mostly excellent but, it still could be better sometimes. I absolutely love their breakfast, but, I don't like the rubbery eggs on the breakfast on a bun sandwiches.
I intend no knock on the brand they're my go to favorite. And, I understand that there are shortage of personnel worldwide! With that said normally Whataburger we get four and a half to five stars from me, but an online order yesterday in Lubbock Texas took over 30 minutes for my dine-in after I ordered and checked in. It was properly prepared to my order and they were trying very very hard.
It is decent fast but the restrooms are always dirty. The employees are loud in the afternoon. Smudges on the windows and not so clean. Every since the new GM David started working there it went down. Not pleased with it but Gloria, Cynthia, Norma and a manager named B.J are GREAT!! By the way. If u want your food fast do not go to this one in the afternoon
The food is always great. The drive-through has issues. I have gone back a few times and have talked (calmly and rationally) to the management about a recurring problem we have. We will order 2 sides of gravy and sometimes cinnamon rolls. I have lost count of how many times they have both been missing from our order. We now check for the miscellaneous items before we leave. They really seem to be working on getting better! Tonight I ordered an apple and cranberry chicken salad. I get home and.... no chicken for the salad.
Honestly this location is great! The food is always perfect when I special order, the staff is friendly, and even when they are slammed the line is still moving. However, in the three years I’ve visited this location I’ve never once had a good sweet tea. Every single time I say “give them a chance” and every single time the sweet tea is old and sour. It’s so disappointing as I find the sweet tea vital to the whataburger experience but, I have finally hit my last straw. I love you Whataburger on 4th Ave but your sweet tea is… sad.
I went in last night around 10/10:30 to get some food for my husband and was waiting in line behind other people. The cashier was taking the order of another 2 ladies who had someone on the phone trying to tell the cashier what he wanted. She was rude to them but she wasn’t talking to me so I let it be. When it was my turn I went up there and greeted her, she ignored me and proceeded to ask what I want. I tell her my order and then ordered another chicken strip sandwich. She asked if I meant the bbq butter chicken strip sandwich and I told her I had to ask my husband real quick. She then proceeded to say that’s the only one they had and I cannot take off the bbq. I pay and go sit down. There was another man in front of me who had order #77. She called out his order and he said “I think it’s mine” while he was looking for his receipt to check. Then she rudely told him that this is why he should keep track of his receipt so he gets his order. I agree but she didn’t have to be so rude about it. I didn’t catch her name but she was a black lady. If she hates her job so much that she has to talk to people like that without someone being rude first she should think about looking for another job
They're mostly nice here, but they get my order wrong 75% of the time. They never have coffee after 10:30 either. Always finding a reason to not go to Mc Donald's, but they're winning right now.
Was given old crunchy biscuits especially around the edges. At the most there was 6 people in line and I had an online order. I would rather wait for fresh biscuits than experience a hockey puck after a 12 hour shift. Not to mention everything I ordered was a biscuit menu item.

This place is alright .. I've been here several times.. and really when I do visit the restaurant it's only because I'm looking for something different because McDonald's gets old real quick. Let me tell you about my experience here at this place. . I've had to go back four or five times 0ut of 7or 8 times that I've been there.. because something wasn't right they got the order wrong or they charge me for something I didn't get or their service is shity straight up they're like rude as hell I guess it just really depends on which person you get but it is not the greatest place like I said I just go there for something different because everything else gets old quick food is good it's just the employee that's working most of the time that pisses me off cuz I got a smart mouth or they want to argue with you usually I get the burger like the avocado Burger or a salad they're pretty good actually... Good luck to you if you plan on visiting this place I guess maybe I'm just going at the wrong times
First ever visit to Whataburger. After hearing nothing but praises sung by others on Whataburger, I was excited to try it and had high expectations. I left feeling very underwhelmed. I got a Double Whataburger meal. Fries were floppy and sad. The burger was decent, not really super flavorful. Every drink I tried was watered down and not good. I'd overall be willing to try this establishment in particular a try again...but not for a while. On the flipside, staff were great and helpful and for the most part, a clean store.
Ordered to go in the lobby. 4 jalapeno cheddar biscuits with sausage. This was apparently difficult for the cashier to ring up. I don't know if it was the register programming or her skills. When we opened our order at home, it was not jalapeno cheddar biscuits but regular biscuits. To be fair these were good just not what was ordered.
I pulled therough the drive through around 3 o clock today 06/14. The person taking my order was rude and rushing me so much so to the point she wouldn’t let me finish my sentences. She truly sounded like she just didn’t want to be there. Once I get up to window am I’m greeted rudely by a young man. He says nothing expect for the price. He hands me my drink and it’s covered in soda. He was impatiently sticking a straw out the window while I try to wipe down my drink. Usually I come her and service is always great, today not so much. I hope they both have better days.

Do not go to this location! Food is usually good, but if you order curbside there's a good chance they'll give your food to someone else. This is not am unusual occurrence for me at this restaurant and then when you do the food you order you get this (see picture). This is the only fast food restaurant in town that doesn't ask your name when they bring you food. To their credit they remade our order every time this had happened, but we ended up spending about an hour waiting in the parking lot each time. Plenty of locations in town chose another one.
Whataburger has been a favorite of my family for years. And I have given rave reviews before. However this is not one of those. For the second time in a row, they have messed my order up in the same way. But that comes later. First, let's discuss time and temp abused eggs. Scrambled eggs should not be green or mildly cardboard in texture. Biscuits should not be dry and crunchy. Hashbrowns should also have at least a semblance of freshness. But the final blow to my breakfast bowl was the simple fact that "on the side" is not the same as "don't send any gravy with my meal". The first interpretation lets me control the amount of that particular vice, while combating the vagaries of dry biscuits and eggs. The second interpretation just annoys me.
This place will never get your order right. I didn’t know it was so hard to read off a screen in front of you. Crazy how much Whataburger has declined over the years.
waited forever for a kids meal but cars that ordered after me got their food before me.theres no reason i should be waiting 15 minutes for a cheeseburger.
Order was wrong after waiting 10 minutes in drive-thru line. Manager was extremely rude at window not too mention his shirt was filthy. Not the first time this has happened in the morning. Won’t be going back again. Do better Whataburger!
After waiting more than usual I finally got my order. I did not check it which was a mistake. I got home with only half my order. Ordered jalapeño poppers and I got ranch dressing but no poppers. Minus a chili cheese hotdogs as well. Tried to call and phone busy all afternoon. Off the hook I would think. Not good service.
I don't know why I keep giving this location more chances. I can't remember the last time I came here and didn't have some kind of issue. Today, they were directing people into two lines, but only serving one of the lines. After 17 minutes, at least 8 cars that had been behind me originally but were directed to the other line had been served and driven off while there were still 3 cars in front of me in my line. When I finally got my food, it wasn't even warm. I guess I should be happy they got the order correct this time. Absolute incompetence. TL; DR don't go to this location

3 times in one month that my order has been wrong and not just forgetting ketchup wrong, but handing out the wrong order, wrong size drinks, and it’s always on overnights. Won’t be back.
First time at a Whataburger. Got bacon cheeseburger, chicken nuggets, and Cobb Salad. Salad was great but I have had better burgers and nuggets microwaved from the bottom shelf of the frozen section of Walmart.
Can’t be prioritizing the drive thru and going slow
I ordered at the drive thru at 2:57 pm and was asked to pull up to the arrow and they would walk my food out. I waited until I became very irritated and had to call them at 3:24 to tell them I was sitting there waiting for my food and 20 cars had passed me in the drive getting food. They only had 2 people in line when I pulled up. I ordered a patty melt meal and that was it. Waiting 30 minutes from ordering in the drive thru to getting my food ir ridiculous. I want my money back! I wish I could give y'all no stars.
I ordered fried and chicken strips with gravy and received chicken strips in a box with half a old burger patty. There was no gravy and they put chicken crumbs in the fries box where there should’ve been fries nor did I receive ketchup. The person working at the window read my order but still decided to give me that trash.
Brenden or Braden was outside in the drive thru taking orders. Immediately upon the interaction he was very rude and impatient. He then completely ignored us then rolled his eyes at us. while we were figuring out the payment he sighed and tell us to just pull forward. Thankfully we were greeted by a very nice lady but in the kitchen Brenden was back there making our order. The fries we received were very noticeably old and cold. This hasn’t been the first time we’ve experienced very bad customer service from this whataburger. I just ask that they provide more kind people to be doing these service’s instead of the people who are projecting negativity on others.
The service was terrible. The person ringing up what I wanted had no idea what she was doing. The girl bringing out the food had a terrible attitude. My sister had to wait on her food, even when the people after us got their food before her. The manager had no control over the workers, like how to work with the customers. Last time I was here, food was fast and service was awesome. Talk about going down hill quick.
I have never seen an establishment show such hatred towards a white employee in my entire life. It was the first time I had ever seen a employee apologize for not handing out catch up because they were told quite forcefully to leave I will not be coming back because of woke being in full swing in this establishment I could not believe the way she was treated it was absolutely heart-wrenching to watch unbelievable. I would have went through drive-thru but there's so many people putting the styrofoam cups where all your ice is it's just gross very unsanitary completely disgusting. The lobby was absolutely filthy there was toilet paper all over the floor it was an overall wreck I cannot believe there's even any managers there because they're certainly nobody cleaning scary thought for eating out I actually rejected my food and got a refund because of the female that was white and the overwhelming extent that she was yelled at and persecuted was unethical and uncalled for.
This is the absolute worst Whataburger I have ever been to! The manager himself made our order and we made it home with no gravy or dipping sauce for the chicken. The fries were not even warm. I called up there to visit with the manager about our order not being complete, and the employee that answered the phone told me the manager was too busy to talk to me and that I would need to call back later. After I told her no that I needed to speak to a manger she hung up on me. I called back and spoke to another employee that also hung up on me. My wife called back and the manager told my wife that it was probably just an accident that they hung up on me. Needless to say that we will not ever be going back to this whataburger!
Ordered 4 piece chicken meal, fries, gravy and toast...Short a chicken strip and toast, manager notified and was told it will be right out. We finished and left with a shorted order. Keep your expectations low, just get a burger and fries.
I ordered extra gravy with my order and I checked I didn’t get any. When asked the girl in the window gave me an attitude and this is their idea of “extra” it was cold. So I went down the street to sonic and got HOT gravy instead. It’s always an issue at this Whataburger when asking for extra.
I am sick of this place. No urgency at all from the staff, you have to pull to the side when you go through the drive through regardless if you are the only customer, my orders are wrong 50% of the time. The food has definitely gone down in quality and up in price since they were bought out. I remember working as a waitress and in a kitchen for an actual restaurant, it’s not rocket science. Do better.
Food was okay but I had to wait 30 minutes to get it after the staff giving me attitude instead of directions when I’m told to move up. It’s 8:30 on a Thursday it’s not like they are the only place open and the line is wrapped around the building. Maybe every 10 minutes a car leaves. I also had literally one item. Not a meal, a single item.
I have been waiting over 30+ minutes for my order that the app said it would take 4-7 minutes to make, I had a very simple order and 3 cars passed me while I was waiting. I was given my drink after 20 minutes and told that they were still working on my order it was a chicken sandwich. I’m extremely disappointed with this service and will never be back to this location.
Well food was good and it did not take long for me to receive my order. But the employee which I think was the manager was rude to me. So I asked him for ketchup and he only gave me 4 packets. Since I ordered 3 different meals I needed more ketchup so I kindly asked him for 3 more packets. He looks at me and then only gives me 2 I told him I needed 3 and u only gave me 2. He looks at him and rudely tells me in front of 5 customers that were behind me "dang ketchup ain't cheap". So well I did get upset and I told him bk I am paying for it ain't I, I paid for my meal. So why would he say something so stupid like that??? Well if your the manager you really need be better what a stupid comment. If it wasn't for us the customers you wouldn't even have a job!!! BTW it was a tall heavy set Hispanic guy with a beard that was rude to me.

Soda machine was apparently broke and 3 liter bottles set out for customers to fill drinks. Lots of chaos in store. Chicken sandwich was raw. Had my mother go to the doctor to get prescribed antibiotics as a precaution to avoid foodborne illness. Complained on website, received response back that I could come get a refund. Since I live out of town have not as of yet been able to go back by the restaurant. Overall highly dissatisfied.
Went by after work today and put in order for everyone at my house (only 3 people) the girl at the drive thru window was not only the rudest person I've had the displeasure of interacting with this week but also perhaps might be the dumbest as well. Got damn near everything wrong on my order and then had an attitude when I told her that the drinks themselves weren't even the right size . This location is terrible . Do yourself a favor and go to the 50th Street location . Never had a problem there
Ordered multiple times from their in app delivery service and every time I had a problem with the driver taking my food or cancelled, they would rarely help or just told me their not responsible for the deliveries, even though it’s through THEIR app. Employees help more and are understanding most of the time but management always has attitude.
6 months ago i was impressed by how the staff worked here. I suppose it was the manager then. She had a super clean store then and custoner service was grest. Tonight i came and stood at counter waiting to order while the male cashier played around with coworker( all while a young manager stood there watching and not saying anything to him) before paying attention to us.no greeting at all either. I placed my order and had to stop and wait because cashier kept turning around and talking to female coworker. I waited to have his attention 2 timesthen he fianlly takes my order asked toasted buns on both sides 3times!! And kid said he would take care of the order😒.20 minutes almost for food to get to us and buns are cold and food half thrown on patty.Floors are dirty and the tables smell of dirty wet rag. Not to mention all the flies!!!! This is usually a great place to eat. What happened the the quality and cleanliness here.this place needs more responsible and driven team leaders. Managers need straightened out here.
Placed an online order threw the app then got the the location and had to wait 11 minutes for it once I arrived. I really don’t know what is going on with Whataburger but it seems every time I go I have an issue with service. I feel like why order on the app when it didn’t save my anytime from ordering at the restaurant
I wish the people that worked. There were on the same page, but there's like maybe four people on the same page and everybody else is scattered everywhere. It really is a shame. I could not believe a manager staff member said "the register was racist and that it only works for white people" It was offensive towards my guest, myself. Pretty much every time my girlfriend & I come here our order gets messed up. My girlfriend gets the chicken tenders with two sides of gravy (one comes with the meal & we order one extra) & literally every. single. time. BOTH gravies are missing. So we then have to pull into spot & go inside (you know, the last thing you should have to do when ordering through the drive thru) & let them know we’re missing stuff & they always act annoyed like we’re somehow at fault for their incompetence. I would recommend staying away from this whataburger if you actually want the things you’re ordering, but if you do come here, ALWAYS check the bag before you leave window. You can thank me later.
Ordered a head and selected my spot the second I parked... multiple people who came in after me got in the drive through got their food before me. I can understand sitting here waiting my turn but to allow people to come in after and leave before is not a good business practice.
The absolute worst Whataburger I’ve ever been too….. okay first off no spicy ketchup was given. No order was made right. I had to drive 2 1/2 hour back home and didn’t have time to turn back around this late at night with two little ones in the car. My order had whata sauce and it was sweet and disgusting so no dinner for me :( Please follow instructions on orders! You never know peoples situations and what they can afford. How you can ruin someone’s night and long drive home.
This whataburger is straight trash. Picked up the #26 breakfast this morning gravy was water, no silverware to eat my gravy soup even if i wanted to. Service is always unfriendly. One thing you are consistent with is bad food and unfriendly help 👍
25 minutes waiting at the drive thru window for 2 taquitos and a breakfast on a bun. Went inside to try and get a refund and just like that our food was just setting on the counter. Do better What a Burger.
We thought it be different if it seems like they don’t want to improve my family and I just want to go to eat but some of the people like to give us attitude throw our fries in the bag upside down when we order them and claims they don’t give fries with breakfast ordered we had to wait for abit and the food was cold by the time we got home I had many problems with this Whataburger back in 2024 but I thought I give them a chance in 2026 but it seems like the past is repeating itself
