This is a very quaint cute little restaurant nestled in Warwick NY on the boarder of NJ. It is expensive but the quality is exceptional! Well worth the money. The menu changes seasonally since it is farm to table. Need reservations or you won't get a table. It's a very small restaurant about 6 tables. The restaurant is right next to a creek and has a very cozy vibe. Can't say enough about the food, it really is wonderful, great for a nice night out. You will not be disappointed and I always leave very full! About $100-$150 per person if getting 3 courses and alcoholic drink(s), they have a wine and beer menu and loose leaf teas! Would obviously be less if not getting the 3 course option that they have or alcohol. Hope you have a great time here like I did!
Diamond in the rough. Fantastic quality ingredients with top tier preparation. Amazing experience. Don’t think twice. Call for a reservation early as it’s a small place.
Love love love this place! The food is always amazing and service is great. Make sure to call ahead as it’s a very small place and they get booked up!
Knocked it outta the park. Delicious menu, I went with the prix fix, app of the butternut squash was phenomenal, dinner was duck such a great range of flavor and desert had the vanilla bean cream brûlée was best I’ve ever had. Staff was all super kind and the vibe is so cozy, love this place and will definitely be back
Our experience at the Grange was exceptional. The service was warm and on point, and the food was both unique and locally influenced and sourced, and delicious. Though there were not many vegan or vegetarian options, this was openly discussed when making the reservation (plus the restaurant affords some flexibility in meal options for specific dietary restrictions/ palates). I'd highly recommend this spot for an intimate setting serving exemplary cuisine (the creme brulee is not to be missed).
Amazing food, service, and atmosphere. The restaurant is small and full of charm, with beautiful artwork on the walls. We were given a really warm welcome and very attentive service. It is clear that the people who work here take great pride in the restaurant - as they should, and care about their customers. My friend and I opted for the prix fixe menu and started with a caesar salad and cheese plate - which were excellent. For the entree I highly recommend the sable fish - like cod, except silky! I had the lemon dessert which was amazing! I cannot say enough nice things about our experience. We were really spoiled by the service and gourmet food. I can't wait to go back! Thank you!
My husband and I took our daughter last night for a celebratory birthday dinner, and we were not disappointed; what a phenomenal culinary experience! We ordered from their prix fixed menu, and it was worth every penny as every course was a culinary delight. The Grange has a farm to table menu that would rival any Michelin star restaurant anywhere in our opinion! Our meal was some of the very best that we've ever had, cooked to perfection with an awesome presentation. The restaurant is small but cozy and charming, and the staff was so friendly and attentive. The restaurant is out of the way on the outskirts of the village of Warwick, NY, but well worth the trip from anywhere in the Tri-State area. Be forewarned that they're only open on weekends, and reservations are a must! Also, we loved that they played old vinyl records to have great music with our meal. We'll definitely return in the very near future!
After living within five mins from The Grange and never have gone in, my gf and I went there for date night last night. The Grange was by far the best meal I have had in a long time in the Warwick/Vernon area. From start to finish everything we had was awesome. The atmosphere was super cozy and very comfortable. Both meals were super flavorful and we were extremely impressed. We will be sure to go back.
I recently had the pleasure of dining at this place, and I must say, it was an extraordinary experience from the start to finish. The ambiance was warm and inviting, with a perfect cozy charm. The staff were incredibly attentive and made us feel right at home. Each dish was a masterpiece, bursting with freshness and flavors. Highly recommended this place. 😋😋😋😋😋
My friends and I are always in search of Farm to Table meals when we go out to eat. On this particular Friday we were heading over to hike the Stair Way to Heaven… which for me was absolutely grueling at most parts and while the view at the top was majestic what made the hike worth it was the epic 3 course meal we all got to share together afterwards. The Grange was extremely accommodating with our party of 6. At first they couldn’t take us but just as I was calling another location they rang back and had rearranged things to fit us in. We were told we would have to do a prefix meal costing $65 for each person because of our parties size. Only one person had a complaint about that because “she doesn’t usually eat that much.” Once we got to the entrees she was drooling all over the place and saying that she’s so happy we had to do a prefix because everything was delicious. Between the six of us we ordered the entire menu and got to try a little bit of everyone plate, cause that’s how we roll. Each bite was transcendental. Scored by soft and soulful music that played from a record player in the background. I just freaking can’t wait to go back there and have my mind blown again. ORDER EVERYTHING!
Place was delicious, looking forward to the course tasting menu next time there. Every dish we ordered was very good, starting with the bread. Always call ahead and make reservations, small place that gets packed quick on most days I’d say from how good the food was. I also enjoyed the music list they had playing.
Had dinner at a restaurant for the first time out this year, because you know. Best American cuisine I’ve had in a while. If I was to invite people from out of country and show off American cuisine this place will definitely be a hit. Atmosphere is quaint and invites you to have a glass or two with dinner and a conversation. Smoke from chimneys ligers in the air to give it a very country feel. The food is tasty and the portions won’t let you think that you need a second dinner after your dinner. Also I live five minutes from this place and will definitely come back . Update got takeout from here for my birthday. Yet another perfect celebration dinner. Food was absolutely delicious.
One word amazing! You can taste the fresh ingredients. They change the menu based on the products they have that week or that day. Had a nice stout salad and apple crumble. But the monkfish and halibut were incredible! Full of flavor and quality! The waitress was also very kind and helpful.
We went to dinner on Saturday night and it was a Prix fix night of 3 course meals for $65 per person. The food was absolutely amazing with a great choice of wine bottles to go with. The owner was playing some fantastic records in the background. Between the four of us, we had cod, duck, and steak and they were super delicious. We also tried all 4 desserts which are Chocolate lava, Apple crumble, Lemon meringue, and Crème brûlée. My favourites were apple crumble and Crème brûlée which was absolutely smooth and has a perfect sugar level.
Nice atmosphere. Oysters were OK but the didn't expect the sauces to come on the oysters which held back the oyster flavors. Smoked fish was good but very salty. The horseradish sauce was delicious. NY strip steak dish was nice served on a bed of mash potatoes. Cab needs to be upgraded to go with the food. The scallop and halibut dishes looked great but alas, next time.
I’ve heard so many good things about this place, I was happy that there was room for us last minute today. As a professional chef who has worked in the food industry for many years, I was pleased with the menu selection, presentation and balance of flavor. The oysters were great, the flavors in the NY steak and Brussel appetizer were spectacular and I appreciate that they plated our split entree. The flourless chocolate cake was heavenly. I give it four stars as it was cold in the dining room, the plates did not feel heated so the soup and entree quickly cooled off. I was told by the host they were pulled from the oven but I touched the plate immediately by habit when served, as heated plates is a basic when cooking professionally and sadly they were barely warm. The old house charm may contribute to the draftiness so it should be compensated by serving the food HOT. They forgot to leave off the croutons for my friend with a Gluten-free request and as she had to wait for a spoon to take out the croutons, it had more time to cool off. Though the server was kind, he didn’t check back after each course, so we couldn’t ask for a hot one. I will still give it another chance because everything was cooked perfectly, just wished the food were hot.
I came to Warwick to spend a pleasant day, escaping the New York routine, and I wanted to stop by this restaurant because it had good reviews. When I arrived, I was told they couldn't serve me because I had to make a reservation. I looked around and there was no one there. They should treat their customers better; I was just going to get something to eat and leave!
