I’ve visited The Pembroke twice, and both experiences were outstanding. From the ambiance to the service to the quality of the food, everything was executed at a high level. The atmosphere is elegant yet inviting — ideal for both intimate dinners and special occasions. Service was attentive, polished, and professional without feeling overbearing. The team demonstrated strong knowledge of the menu and delivered a seamless dining experience from start to finish. The food was beautifully presented and thoughtfully prepared, with balanced flavors and attention to detail in every course. Consistency across multiple visits speaks to strong kitchen leadership and operational standards. Overall, The Pembroke delivers a refined, memorable dining experience. I look forward to returning.

I had the pleasure of dining and celebrating my birthday at the Pembroke restaurant and it did not disappoint. The atmosphere was so romantic and our waiter Artie was wonderful. I ordered the broccolini as an appetizer and the lamb bolognese to start. Both were prepared deliciously and proved to be flavorful. I ended with the ribeye which had homemade steak sauce and peppers. It was by far the most delicious ribeye I’ve ever eaten. I throughly enjoyed the drink Artie recommended and I am excited to share that my entire experience dining at The Pembroke was absolutely amazing. We even decided to enjoy breakfast there the following morning and we were just as pleased with breakfast. Hats off to the chefs and the entire culinary team for making my taste buds and my tummy very Happy on my 47th Birthday!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our brunch at The Pembroke!! We were celebrating my husband's birthday and the staff treated him warmly and brought a special Happy Birthday treat. Each of us enjoyed our meals and the truffle fries and cinnamon bun were the stars for me. Absolutely delicious!! We will be back!

The salmon Benedict was sublime. The hollandaise sauce was a slight reinterpretation with brown butter and a viscous consistency that emulated a fine melted cheese. The English muffin was soft and spongy and easy to cut, the poached egg was cooked to perfection. Apart from that, the fresh squeezed orange juice was actually very notably good as well. Atmosphere and service were excellent.

This place is one I can finally check off my list and it did not disappoint! The restaurant was spacious and a great place to meet and catch up with friends. Service was attentive and on point. We came for brunch. They really good options on their menu. Chicken and waffles- amazing!! The chicken wasn't standout but still good. But the cornmeal waffles were delicious! I would've been ok with just the waffles. Breakfast sandwich with prosciutto was flavorful. And also a nice option. I would definitely return. Make a reservation because this place fills up.

Food was bomb. We ate our plates so fast 😩. All three of my friends loved their meals too. One friend ordered the chicken and waffles—drum and thigh fried to absolute perfection—and the waffle 😋 was made with cornbread… so good!!! I had the Pembroke Benedict with my eggs fried hard, jumbo crab on top, and a side salad. It was super filling—I didn’t eat again until dinner, and even then I wasn’t really hungry. Another friend ordered the French toast and the jumbo cinnamon roll, which went around the whole table and got completely crushed 🤤. My girlfriend had the smash burger, and I have to say those breakfast potatoes wrapped with bacon were cooked with love—not too crispy, not burnt, not too soft—crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. Restaurants usually mess that up, but they nailed it. Just look at the picture—everything was glistening, and our stomachs were FULL. This is definitely about to be our favorite brunch spot in the city!!

The Pembroke is my essential brunch spot, delivering a sharp atmosphere and food that genuinely hits the mark. The Smash Burger is a masterclass in execution, and the pancakes are excellent—refined without being over-the-top. Tsion is a total pro, providing the kind of seamless, effortless service that makes a meal work. If you want brunch done with real intent, this is the only reservation that matters.

We are staying at the hotel and the service has been consistent throughout - amazing! We had brunch at The Pembroke and Tsion was our server. She was so hospitable! She took the time to get to know us and offered great service! The food was delicious. My husband had the steak and eggs and I had The breakfast sandwich - both were 10/10! My husband had the Wuthering Heights cocktail and rated it 10/10. I had a cappuccino with hazelnut and it was delicious!!

Unfortunately, I didn’t take more photos, but my friend and I had brunch at Pembroke and absolutely loved the experience. Due to the high volume, there wasn’t a table available right away—we hadn’t planned ahead and didn’t make a reservation. However, a gentleman at the door kindly offered us seats at the bar, which turned out to be perfect, as we love sitting at the bar. The service was excellent, the food was outstanding, the restaurant itself is beautiful, and the location is ideal.

A boursin-laced French omelette, piled-high avocado toast, and fresh-squeezed OJ made for a fabulous brunch al fresco overlooking Dupont Circle. Impeccable service on an elegant patio with gorgeous bathrooms — dreamy! The real star, however, was David, who was extremely accommodating and helped make my birthday brunch special. We will be back!

We love to come to The Pembroke for brunch with chips and cocktails. This is nice place and good food. One of my highly recommended restaurants you must try.

Had a best dinner on the best restaurant in DC! Every dish was thoughtfully prepared, beautifully plated, and bursting with flavor. You can really tell the chefs put care into both the ingredients and the presentation. I had Octopus and Green Circle Chicken and it was truly unforgettable. Service was exceptional, warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly without being overbearing. The team made sure everything was perfect throughout the evening. Shout out to Arty, Abby, and Kyle for arranging this special night for me. If you’re in D.C. and looking for a refined yet comfortable spot for dinner, The Pembroke should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be back!

Exceptional dining experience — a true gem The Pembroke is an outstanding restaurant that delivers a top-tier experience on every level. From the moment we walked in, everything — from the atmosphere to the service — felt refined and thoughtful. The dishes served here could easily compete with Michelin-starred restaurants. Each plate is presented like a piece of art — compliments to the chef for such creativity and execution. What truly elevates this place is the team. Every staff member works in perfect sync, showing a level of training and coordination that’s rare to see. A special thank you to our server, Arty, who made the experience even more memorable with his professionalism and warm attitude. Highly recommend for anyone seeking a fine dining experience that goes beyond just good food.

Had a wonderful experience here. Dined in with a friend and made dinner reservations prior. We were greeted and seated right upon arrival. Our server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was delicious! My friend enjoyed the swordfish and I had the Green Circle Chicken. We shared sides include carrots and crispy potatoes, both were also delicious. Overall a very enjoyable dinner and would highly recommend!

We enjoyed a satisfying breakfast in a sophisticated atmosphere. The bagel with cream cheese and salmon was delicious and presented beautifully. The only note is in regard to the coffee and cappuccino, both were weak. The breakfast potatoes were crunchy and flavorful. Highly recommended.

It’s a very delightful place! Loved the colors! The food was great and the staff were wonderful! Michele our waiter was attentive and kind! You valet park at the hotel to easily get at the restaurant. This makes your entrance a little more prettier. Overall, great spot for everything, including breakfast, lunch, brunch dinner, etc. I love the patio area as well. I didn’t sit outside, but it was beautiful to just look at. 💕💕

My friends and I recently visited for a brunch birthday celebration, and it felt like we had stepped into a charming European café! The waitstaff were incredibly professional and attentive, making us feel truly welcome. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. As a special touch, they surprised us with a complimentary birthday dessert and even a Polaroid photo for the birthday girl — such a thoughtful gesture! This place is perfect for any celebration. Highly recommend!

I had breakfast at the Pembroke, it was very tasty and they accommodated my request to add bacon to my breakfast sandwich. Atmosphere and ambience was pleasant. The food was so good.

My Mom and I needed this kind of re-set to cap our day yesterday. Everyone holds the highest standard of the lost art in service. Eye contact, warmth, engaging conversation, eloquence, attentiveness! Even over the phone their professionalism exudes. Tom the general manager shared memories of Ireland the locals would appreciate. We ordered and shared the vodka pasta and green circle chicken as well as butterscotch pudding and chocolate hazelnut ganache cake. This was another amazing memory in my notch of great dining experiences and couldn't wait to leave a great review for folks researching where to eat. We dined outside. It was absolutely lovely! 10/10! Thank you Chef!!!

The Pembroke is my favorite DC brunch place so far! It is bright, airy, elegant and all around beautiful! My overall experience was so pleasant and calming, it’s the perfect spot for a girls brunch, family outing, or celebration. They serve classic brunch fare like pancakes and French toast, and they do it well with fresh ingredients. Their coffee is delicious, they do a great iced latte. The highlight of my experience was by far the service and atmosphere. Our server was kind and patient with us, and the managers Chris and Jennifer were so sincere and made sure we enjoyed our meal. Chris even brought us complimentary Valentine’s desserts which was so sweet! Definitely give The Pembroke a try, say hi to Chris, and be sure to take tons of photos!

We had the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner. The seafood spread was plentiful and fresh, they were putting fresh seafood out about every 5 minutes. All 3 courses were perfectly cooked apart from the octopus which my friend found to be a little on the salty side, she loved the pasta and sauce that came with it. I had the prime filet and it lived up to the definition “melt in your mouth tender”. The service was perfect, Daniel Penda who attended to us was friendly, attentive, and always had a smile on. Everyone else was very friendly and we had several people check on us at appropriate times to see that we were having a lovely dinner. I definitely would recommend for a special occasion or fancy dinner. The ambiance at The Pembroke is perfect for that.

I knew before visiting DC that you have to make reservations for a good restaurant. Many restaurants are minimum $100 a person. The Pembroke is probably realistically about $50 per person. And very close to the area we were staying near Dupont Circle. The service was incredible, especially with Abby. They set us down at a table, but I did not feel comfortable being that close to so much walking by the staff. I asked if they could move us to the corner booth, which was a very comfortable corner booth and some chairs. They quickly said that there was a reservation at 7:30, and it was 6 o’clock. And if it was no problem that we sat there as long as we were done by 7:30 . I was worried the service might take a while, it did not. Again, not just Abby, but several of her staff associates were very attentive. They even pranked us a little bit, ordering the autumn pumpkin soup. There was three of us total, my wife and sister-in-law. They ordered a very delicious fish dinner. I had the ribeye on bone in, a little pricey, but 36 oz—- I enjoyed every bite. I highly recommend the Pembroke. If Abby waits on you, please encourage her to get her degree and keep smiling and sharing the humble heart that she has.

To celebrate my birthday, I met a friend for an early dinner. What a great choice! I feel so well-celebrated. The service was great. The food was delicious. And, there were little details throughout the evening that made me feel truly special & let us know that we came to the right place for my birthday. I recommend going to The Pembroke, and, maybe, you’ll be so lucky to have Arty as your server. He took care of us with ease and, in his care, I felt truly special — all while leaving two dear friends the time they need to truly connect and catch up.

Everything was amazing, we came for brunch today and had the steak and eggs with pancakes as our savory treat. The service was very immaculate, Michelle was very attentive and ready to cater for our every need. He made our experience more delightful. Special mention to the General manager aswell ( Tom ) who went the extra mile in ensuring our service was coordinated well and made us some fire drinks at the bar

I recently visited this restaurant in Washington, DC, and had such a wonderful experience. The food was delicious—classic American flavors done really well—but what truly stood out was the exceptional service. Our server, Arty, went above and beyond to make our evening special. Arty was warm, attentive, and had great recommendations for food when asked. He checked in at just the right times without ever feeling intrusive, and their genuine friendliness made us feel right at home. You can tell Arty really cares about the guests’ experience. Overall, this place has fantastic food, a relaxed atmosphere, and top-notch service. Huge thanks to Arty for making our dinner memorable—we’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Gorgeous restaurant. Love the bar area too. Food is excellent, service is kind and friendly without being overly familiar. I bring clients here all the time and we always have a great time. Great location and view of Dupont Circle. We are lucky to have it.

I had pretty high hopes based on reviews and it mostly did not disappoint- we tried the chicken & waffles and the Pembroke Benedict and both were really good. The lemon ricotta pancakes were dense and not as fluffy or tasty as expected. Would try it again and would still recommend it. The service and ambience are great.

The Pembroke offers a beautifully designed, upscale atmosphere mixed with neighborhood city vibes of Paris or London with options for outdoor, booth, and traditional table seating. When we arrived a bit early for our reservation, we were promptly seated at a four-top which was unfortunately quite uncomfortable. We politely requested to move to one of the available booths—both unoccupied at the time—but were told by the hostess that they were reserved for parties of six. While I understand the policy, it felt inflexible, especially considering the restaurant was closing in under two hours and those booths remained empty until close. It would have been a nice gesture to accommodate guests who were already there, rather than holding space for possible walk-ins who never arrived. Our server was warm, professional, and patient as we took some time to place our order while catching up with friends. She even recommended the lamb chops cooked medium, which I ended up ordering—and they did not disappoint. The food was flavorful, well-prepared, and served hot, which we all appreciated despite the extended wait time between ordering and receiving our meals. After dinner, we lingered a bit to enjoy the space, took a few photos, and noted that the same booths we had inquired about remained unoccupied the entire evening. All in all, while the food and ambiance met expectations, the customer service around seating could use a more guest-centered approach. Rating: 4.5/5 Great food and ambiance, but a rigid seating policy took away from the overall hospitality.

The atmosphere was spot on, really cozy and welcoming. Service was great, super friendly and effortless. We had the Pembroke breakfast; it was okay, just a bit on the dry side and didn’t quite hit the mark for us.

This place is really beautiful and a great vibe for brunch! The service was great and pretty quick as well. I ordered an iced latte to start, it was okay but nothing too special. It was also $7, so not super cheap either. We shared the French toast, chicken and waffles, a side of potatoes and a side of bacon. The chicken & waffles were great! Waffle was delicious, but I wish the chicken was a little more seasoned! The potatoes were delicious and so was the bacon. The French toast was pretty good. I probably wouldn’t order it again though. It was a super thick slice, but personally wasn’t sweet/flavorful enough for me. It came with some various toppings, but I wish there was some type of fruit or whipped cream.

I made reservations for my pre-birthday brunch. It was our first time visiting this restaurant and it was beautiful just as the photos show. The restaurant was full with predominantly groups of women and families dining. The restaurant is aesthetic and great for photo opportunities, however, the part of the restaurant towards the outdoor eating and windows has amazing natural lighting but the other side of the restaurant has yellow dim lighting yet has more of the cute booths. Regardless, we had a great experience and the customer service was exceptional. We dined towards the end tale of brunch so I think the experience was a little tainted regarding waiting times to receive your cocktails, starters, and entrees. But we will surely return again and want to experience dinner as well.

Very relaxing spot for breakfast. Pricing is too high in my opinion versus other comparable spots around the city. Food was very good and prepared well. It seems that the opportunity for brunch is very specific to certain times, so that was disappointing. As the weather begins to clear comfortably, the atmosphere for outdoor seating should be pleasant.

They offer an elegant dining experience in a beautiful setting. The ambiance is sophisticated yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both special occasions and casual meals. The breakfast here is especially delicious, with generous portions that leave you satisfied. The quality of the ingredients clearly shines through in every dish. The staff is attentive and professional, adding to the overall enjoyable experience. The only minor drawback is that it can get a bit noisy during peak hours, but it doesn’t detract much from the overall experience. A lovely place to dine in DC, and I would definitely recommend it.

Food was pretty standard French style. The cocktails were thoughtfully crafted. The service was polite and just attentive enough. The real winner is the ambience and atmosphere. It’s a good date night spot to wine down and talk.

It was my first time to this restaurant and i was not disappointed. I had dinner for one and the staff were nothing but professional service in mind. What a delightful experience. I see this place can be for family gathering with a elevated food experience. The food is delicious came prepared freshly modern twist on classic dishes which i loved. The cocktails are amazing to. Would come back for sure to try something new. A bit pricey but good food.

Our food was okay, and we felt too pricey for what we got. We were sat in a back corner even though the restaurant was fairly empty and better seats closer to the windows were open. As we walked down the street we found two other places with a greater variety on the menu and reasonable pricing. We made a reservation for a special gathering and felt we were not welcomed.

Great meal overall. Paid $190 after tip for 2 people. I've been here previously and have had great service before but this visit wasn't worth the price IMO, maybe folks were having an off day. My wife was served a half cup of water however at the start, and they ran out. I had to ask for water from 3 people: 2 different waiters and 1 manager. We got 1 lunch and 1 breakfast menu, even though lunch was served. Nbd, I can share a menu with my dining companion but again at this price point I want my own menu. A good 20 mins - 30 mins after we sat our order was taken and I finally got some tap water. Steak was well done instead of medium well. My fork and knife had waterspots and some crud on them. I asked for an old fashioned with a splash of soda and got a regular old fashioned. It was still good and no big deal; but for a $40 coctail, an Angel Envy old fashioned, they could've added a splash of soda like I requested. Food was good, service was ok. If they can remember to fill up water cups when customers sit down, remember my food and drink order better, and clean the silverware better, then it would be a truly luxury restaurant! Decor was cute. Worth visiting when you are in town!

Went for dinner and was hungry but left unsatisfied. The ambiance was nice and vibrant. The service was about average. The food was disappointing. We had the shrimp appetizer with so e type of sausage and it was OK. We both ordered the halibut and it was tiny. Too tiny for almost $40. The kale served with was vinegary. The side of broccolini was just OK. The creme brulee was average. Our cocktail was OK but left an aftertaste. Overall, there was nothing that made us want to return here.

I came to Pembroke for brunch and had a very pleasant experience overall. The restaurant itself is beautiful—lots of natural light, big windows, and a bright, airy atmosphere that gives off really good vibes. For food, I ordered the smoked salmon everything bagel platter as well as the breakfast sandwich. The breakfast sandwich was very delicious, though I would have liked a few more potatoes on the side. I also ordered the Greek yogurt parfait, which was very good and a nice lighter option. Overall, it was a solid breakfast, and I actually felt healthier eating here compared to some other brunch spots. Service was good, and the food came out relatively quickly. Everything felt smooth and easy, which is always appreciated for brunch. While nothing completely blew me away or made me feel like I needed to rush back immediately, it was still a very enjoyable, reliable spot with good food, great ambiance, and a relaxed feel. A great choice if you’re looking for a calm, sunny place for brunch.

Metro'd in to this gem of a location to dine with friends. The glassed-in patio is spectacular, offering people-watching and city bustling without experiencing DC's debilitating August heat! Two from our party order the filet, but we were informed there was only one left in the entire restaurant! Rather than play "rock-paper-scissors" hubs ordered steak frites and was NOT disappointed with his red meat! Dings for over-truffling the truffle fries, salting the vodka sauce on my vodka pasta, and undercooking my shrimp ordered a la carte for my pasta. I did, however, sear them once I arrived home for an absolutely delicious experience!

Decided to go here for brunch because of the reviews of the apple french toast. Beautiful resturant with great service. The food was OK, and not worth the price. I will not be going back.

Me and my husband decided to have brunch here, we were excited to get to eat something savory and delicious, but sadly it wasn’t it. The coffee was great, I had a smoked salmon beagle with cream cheese and confit tomatoes. It was very hard to digest and overall bitter. My husband got a shot of Montenegro and a smash burger, decent size and it comes with fries, but the flavor and the bacon were off, according to him. Very pricy for no reason if not for the location and the staff that was super friendly and funny!!

My husband and I are regulars at some of DC's famous brunch spots, from something upscale like Blue Duck Tavern to traditional like the Clyde's. This place missed the mark on almost every aspect - we had to wait 20 minutes past our reservation, the server left us alone for another 15. The cappuccino had too much milk. My iced coffee came without any ice - close to lukewarm. The place was also extremely loud and crowded with a lot of people just standing. We will not be revisiting here and for those who are looking for a brunch spot, please do yourself a favour and look elsewhere.

This place is actually horrible. I’ve never written a review anywhere until today because I want people to know that this place is not worth it. The atmosphere was nice but that’s it. Service was horrible. We came for lunch on a Monday and there were only four other tables and it somehow took our server 15 min to ask the kitchen about an allergy issue, which he forgot about and the host had to go back and ask again. We ordered the pumpkin soup and bread. The pumpkin soup had zero flavor. No salt or pepper was added thats for sure. We paid $12 for bread that was STALE, burnt, and dry. For entrees we got the cavatelli that was drowned in oil and a club sandwhich that came with avocado spread that was basically the sabra snackers. Actually, those are better. Paid $125 for ???? Definitely go somewhere else for lunch!

Restaurant staff did not call even after leaving multiple messages with front desk. I wanted to increase the no. Of guests to my reservation and online open table won’t take more than 5 people. Ultimately I had to make another separate reservation thru my daughter. They were aware of our 50th birthday celebration note, still they gave us the last table at the back end. when we asked them to seat us in nice front area which was more lighted and bright as this is a milestone celebration, they refused. The lady Manager had the guts to argue in front of all my guests at my table and didn’t apologize or stop the heated argument. I had to tell her to leave the discussion but she refused. Overall, very had customer service. I chose this restaurant as I wanted to try it for a long time. It was a disaster for my birthday. Never recommending anyone to go there and get humiliated on your birthday EVER.
