SO GOOD. First time I came here I got the pork ribs and was just amazed at how perfect they were. So flavorful without being too salty, sweet or saucy. Cooked exactly how I want ribs. I don’t live anywhere near here and only can come when I’m driving through and it’s 100% worth the stop. If there’s a line the food can take a while to get prepared but sooo worth it. Second time I came it was just as delicious as before and already excited for the third time. Best BBQ ribs I’ve ever had. Even the rice is cooked nicely and tastes good just plain. 10/10!!!

This off-the-Road hole-in-Wall Dive is a great stop in the small windy town of “Weed” at the base of the grand volcano Mount Shasta. “Got the munchies”? This will scratch your itch. Looking for fast food ? Don’t stop here. Looking for high quality 5 star customer service? Depends on who you get? The Asian lady - eh - she could care less, very casual, mellow, quirky funny. The Asian grill master - nice down to earth guy, will let smoke everything he has cooked.. Lots of grill pits and smokers out front. Inside is pretty basic, no frills. Asian rock music playing in the background. The food is slow smoke cooked all day and delicious. You can’t go wrong with any of these choices. We got the beef, buffalo chicken and pork and also the brisket. Yum!

The food is so good! My friend and I ordered a 3 meats with veggies and a grilled pork belly, both came with rice in generous portion! The meat is so tender, the grilled pork belly is a must! Uncle/the owner, he’s very friendly, we were talking and when we left waiting at the parking lot, he walked by and gave us some fruits too! You guys should come, I barely review but this is a must and overall experience is exceptional!

This place is a little hole in the wall. You wouldn't even notice it if it weren't for the mouthwatering aroma of his outdoor BBQ pit! It is owner operated. He is super friendly with a genuine smile. The service is impeccable. And, his food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!! I love it.

I have been thinking about this place for the last 6-7 years since I visited the first time back in 2018 or 2019 . Since then I have tried so many bbq places and I swear this place has the best beef ribs and brisket with rice my goodness .

Thomas was amazing. Food was even better. Honestly, I’ve had a lot of BBQ, and this was genuinely some of the best. Super fun with the Asian flair to it. Be a kind, good human, and he will treat you right. Expect to pay restaurant prices, but you WILL NOT REGRET getting that BBQ. So good. Thanks man.

This was the best bbq I’ve ever eaten. Actually I’ve never had food that tastes quite like this. My fiancé and I stopped here because we saw the smoker going outside and it exceeded any expectation we had. Amazing service from the owner who helped us pick from the menu (we got the spare ribs and rice) and also taught us how to eat sticky rice. :) All around amazing experience and incredible food. 10/10!!

Great place! We stopped in during a road trip down the coast. We called him at 7:50 saying we'd be there in 5 minutes and he kept the shop open waiting for us. Great food and even better service. 10/10 recommend.

I grew up in the south and worked a BBQ pit in college. I have travelled throughout the south, literally cataloging bbq shacks and stands. I know bbq. This is probably the best bbq I have ever had. Truly out of this world. Moreover, the owner is wonderful. I see some reviews have called him “rude.” Could not be farther from the truth. He is passionate about his craft (and straight to the point about getting you fed). Get the pork spareribs, sticky rice, and a Coca Cola. Truly remarkable.

I was on my way to Oregon. I pulled into weed California and I was hungry. Right when you pull this place looked great the smoker was going and the guy was out tending to the meat. I came in and got an order of SMOKED PORK BELLY and it was some of the best pork belly I've had. I live about 3 hrs away and am debating going back just for the pork belly

Stopped here after backpacking in Klamath. Very filling and delicious! We shared a combo plate with extra rice and a refreshing Thai tea. Sat outside with a view of Shasta. Owner was very friendly and food was great! Would stop again next time I’m in Weed.

Wow! Food was just as GREAT as there service. Flavor was just amazing and the BBQ, a bit spicy but worth the kick. To think I’ve driven passed so many times and never stopped. Don’t be like me and pass up this place. Treat your taste buds to some amazing BBQ. Thank you guys for the great tasting food. Definitely making your place my “MUST STOP” until the next time guys.

This might actually be the best BBQ spot ever made. Every meat has a strong smokey flavor and the cook is very polite and generous. The special spicy sauce they have is outstanding. I would highly recommend the carnitas they have.

I'm not sure how to succinctly describe my experience here but I'll try: We walk up to the restaurant and there's a lone man operating a smoker, the smell it's producing can only be described as divine. So we walk up and browse the menu, none of us have any idea what we want to eat. The man emerges from the shop and asks us what we think we want, we tell him we are unsure. He boldly proclaims that we probably want the pork sandwich. We ask him about altering the toppings or more sauce or what have you and he assures us we don't want too. He assures us not to worry about the sauce, people have fought over the sauce. I thank God everyday that we listened. The sauce was incredible. What we received 15 minutes later can only be described as the greatest sandwich that has ever blessed my mouth and nose. I say this as someone who spent no small amount of time working at a high end sandwich shop. The food was so good in fact, that after about an hour of swimming in the local lake, we came back to order more. Despite us being dumb and misreading the listed hours, he still served us once again, with a limited stock due to having begun shutting down for the night, it was just as amazing if not better the second time. In short: absolutely a 10/10 experience, I can only describe what occurred as being served immaculate food by some kind of incredible BBQ sage who was frankly too good to a bunch of confused, and frankly, probably pretty annoying kids. This man has it figured out and I wish him absolutely nothing but the best after experiencing both his skill and hospitality. I cannot reccomended this establishment enough.

This food was Soo good. We got a pork belly and chicken with rice. It was super quick, he told us what was about to finish up, so we only waited a few minutes. The meat was smoky, tender, and juicy. Amazing. He was super nice, as long as you listen and treat the people well, you will have good experience.

As pitmaster Rodney Scott says: If you're looking for authentic bbq, look for the wood pile. Amazing bbq with a Thai influence and just the right amount of spice. Definitely making a return trip!

Ordered a rack of ribs ( comes with white rice ) at this restaurant & really enjoyed the ribs. Their menu is hard to read ( I am over 60 ) & the sauce for the ribs a bit salty . We paid $50 for the ribs … seems too high for Baby back pork ribs . Nonetheless we recommend this sweet spot.

Brisket and rice plate was delicious. My husband took a calculated risk and ordered the smoked corndogs and I would not encourage others to do that (see pics below) the dumplings were pretty good as well. The sauce has a bit of a kick to it so order with it on the side if you’re feeding kids or spice adverse adults. It was peculiar watching the owner turn away another family with darker skin than ours due to being “so busy and having a very long wait” and then proceed to serve others as they came in. I don’t know what to make of this.

As you walk into Asian American BBQ you might be scared away. Do not be scared! It is absolutely amazing with the nicest staff! The food was to die for. Perfect balance of Sweet and spicy. The meat was cooked perfectly. I recommend the beef, beef ribs, and pork belly. The pork melts in your mouth. I'll be coming back!

Stopped on Weed just to get this BBQ. Super excited. Pulled in and was told we needed to sanitize our hands before entering. Ok Looked at the menu and it looked fabulous! We ordered 2 combo plates with rice and pork dumplings. Cranky man said dumplings take a long time. That’s ok, we’re not in a hurry. Order was placed and paid and we were told to go outside. Too crowded inside for our 4 people. Ok! Got ourselves drinks from our cooler and got an outside table. Went to pick up our food and a guy at the inside table said to make sure to try the hot sauce so we asked for extra. Owner said no! You already got some…. Ok Started eating our meal and owner asked if everything was ok. Yup! He asked if we wanted more hot sauce….. um, ya!!! He came out with a smile, gave us tons of hot sauce and extra napkins. Bbq was fantastic, rice was dry. You’d think it would be perfect, right? So 4 stars for food, 3 service and 3 atmosphere since we were forced to eat outside.

Well, for over $60 for 2 dinners one would think it was going to be great. Not great. Weird smoked meat and vegetables dish. The pork ribs were too spicy. We will not be back
