Very friendly and hardworking people. Food always wonderful. Feels like another home.
Excellent Sunday buffet and very tasty daily lunch specials. Highly recommend
Amazing kosher food, great kosher sushi, they have an all you can eat buffet on Sundays..
Tasty food, properly seasoned. Extensive menu with significant variety. Responsible and attentive staff.
Kind service, yummy food, great selection on the buffet, really good vibes all around👌
The place could use some renovations, but the food is awesome
delicious food, reasonably priced, nice service, ample parking
Delicious. Nice Sunday evening all you can eat buffet.
Love love love this place! The dumplings are top and the owners are super nice!
Nice variety and options. Has labeled gluten free items and options. Has sushi.
Kosher good varity menu. Good service. Happy family dish excellent
They treated us very well. We came in for takeout and filled the order quickly. The food was great.
They have yummy food !! Super impressed :) I was coming from Brooklyn and grabbed a bite on the way back. Very pleasantly surprised !! Will definitely come back G-d willing
I can't get enough of Wing Wan's kosher Chinese offerings; my fave is the fresh Pineapple Chicken - extra spicy with hot 'n sour soup. It's a major bargain on the lunch special.
Got take out food for two familes. I ordered shhead of tome. The food was ready and hot when I arrived. Food was delicious.
Fantastic food and service!!!
We love Wing Wan! Amy and the entire staff are the best!!
My favorite place to eat, especially at the buffet on Sunday nights! Delicious, wide variety including sushi, and kosher!
Delicious food and great people and atmosphere!!! Wing-wan should be " Win-Win" !!
Food is outstanding! Price is great! Only place I know that can make chineCh food so fresh and great!!
Chinese style kosher restaurant. The food was good. When I was there they did not have Pas Yisroel bread. Confirm before.
Great kosher Chinese food in West Hempstead. I went here on a date once. Nice atmosphere.
It's very good Chinese food and I like the basic Chinese food that the other kosher restaurants have
Pastrami egg rolls are delicious! The wonton egg drop soup is a family favorite!
Theoretically: if I liced n five towns would still come here for Chinese authentic quality taste, very warm seating
Really enjoyed our dinner on our first visit looking forward to trying more of the menu.
Best Chinese food I've had! Sunday night they offer an all you can eat buffet.
A gr8 svc to west Hempstead community & beyond!...
Fantastic food from the nicest people. Really hard working and always deliver yummy food. Best kosher chinese. Strongly recommend you to try it out here. Personal favorite for eating in the store is the House Yat Gum Mein Soup. Take out I love their fantastic House Lo Mein. Buffet will rock your socks off. 6 stars for being so awesome.
The prices are cheap, the food is delicious, and the wait is extremely short. I recently ordered a ton of food (4 chicken and broccolis, 3 egg drop soups, 4 wonton soups, 3 sweet and sour chicken) and the waiter merely goes, ok, that will be 20 minutes. And the food was amazing!
Great food, Nice size portions ! Haven't eaten here in a while, since I moved out of area. Was back on L.I. today and decided to come back. Am I glad I did! Wife and I enjoyed great meal! Hope to be back, soon.
Very solid food with great lunch special. Has the atmosphere you’d expect for a Chinese place so overall very very good!
Great food. Sushi is always fresh. Sit down can be a bit awkward, but the quality of the food makes it well worth it. Also, the buffet on Sunday is worth it for the sushi alone.
Love this place! Great Crispy Beef! Great eggrolls! Love the Steamed Dumplings! Very tasty Hot and Sour Soup!
Best kosher Chinese in the world
Outstanding Chinese food. The hot & sour soup and Szechuan wontons are especially good. I really like that they use lemongrass in the soup.
Major West Hempstead establishment, only real Kosher meat option in the area. Certainly high quality food, even with the lack of real competition. Nice store too, very spacious seating area, tons of parking, and just good ol' chinese food with a great hashgacha.
The staff were very friendly. The food was delicious, and the portion was very large. The store is always clean. Lunch specials are a good deal.
Wing wan is a kosher Chinese restaurant focusing on a kosher style menu rather than a conventional chinese restaurant as they do not have pork, shrimp or lobster. Nonetheless wing wan is a clean delicious establishment that will meet your kosher Chinese needs. They offer a wide variety of foods ranging from dumplings to orange chicken and general t'so chicken/beef. I would definitely recommend going here for you glatt kosher needs. 5/5.
Really good kosher Chinese food at great prices. We ordered off the menu but they also have an all you can eat buffet for like $20 a person that looked good with sushi
A Glatt Kosher Asian fusion restaurant with a buffet every week? Sign me up. Stumbled on this gem looking for any Kosher, Halal or Tawfiqi places near Uniondale. I went, and it was exactly the food you are expecting -- well prepared sushi and Chinese-American food with a certification in adherence to the Kashrus.
We went for the buffet and were pleased with the selection of dishes, there was a selection of different varieties of chicken and beef and other sides like french fries, dumplings and rice. The waiters were continually refilling the empty trays (including the Sushi). The place was well attended by families with children so eat upstairs if you would like a quieter dining experience. The buffet is held in the basement so bringing a stroller down needs some care. The experience and food was well worth the price.
I wanted to personally thank the entire staff at Wing Wan for their excellence and kindness to our family this past weekend. We needed a Kosher dining location after a memorial service and they went above and beyond expectations in accomadating our needs. The food was delicious, especially the vegetarian selections and the portions were very generous. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Thank you.
They were excellent for a recent Sheva Brachos that we hosted. The owner was kind enough to throw in a free platter of sushi plus a free tray of cookies for dessert. The food was excellent as it always has been.
Go there almost every week. Had the buffet last time. Well worth the money. Friendly staff, great service. Menu items vary in size. Large order very generous. Often enough to take home!
The food is excellent and MSG-free, and as a person who gets MSG-induced migraines, I am very grateful. True staple of the community.
5 star. The young lady at the counter is remarkable. A nice chef gave me a complimentary soup. That is hospitality to perfection. I will only support this business because of how kindly they treated me. 5 stars!!!
What would my childhood have been without Wing Wan? Great place.
As someone who has worked in the food industry and has Chinese food all the time, I must say that the dumpling here are 100000/10!!!! They are the real deal. They hand make them in the back with fresh garlic, ginger and greens and serve it alongside a garlic dumpling sauce where you can see the actual chopped up garlic. customer service here is 10/10. Go to some other chineese spots and you will see the difference with how this staff treats you. I can’t say enough good things about this establishment
A gem. Remember all you can eat buffets? Well they have that every Sunday. Amazing selection and great service! Sushi, soup, multiple mains lots of sides, popular dishes all you can eat for everyone! This place has been constantly good for as far back as I can remember! Dining in, take out, catering, all done with amazing customer service and delicious food...every time. 15 years ago I ordered 6 foot long heroes for a super bowl party and have been going constantly every since. Many things have changed, their quality and commitment to customer service has not. Still a family favorite.
Authentic and delicious chinese food for a surprisingly affordable price. Also, the service was exceptional and even better than my experiences at other sit down “fancy” restaurants.
Had a great time at the Sunday night buffet. It’s a great deal, especially if you have kids. Casual environment. Friendly staff, especially Eli!
Best kosher Chinese food on long island. Amazing food, great prices and service. This should be the gold standard.
Wow, My kids are super picky and they were so pleased with the fries and nuggets. Thank you Ruby for being so quick and patient. Resteraunt is run beautifully, great service, clean, atmosphere relaxing. Thank you
as it was my first experience at this restaurant, the best dim sum I’ve had in a long time! Not only are the staff super friendly but the food itself is piping hot & delicious, definitely a must try… you will not be disappointed… thank you for a great time.. Thank you 😊
This is the best bang for your bucket for any kosher restaurant in the tri-state area. They offer all you can eat good Chinese food at a very reasonable rate. They also have an even lower rate for children that order all you can eat Chinese. All you can eat includes many delicious dishes to choose from, drink, and even yummy sushi. I would definitely recommend going here for a satisfying tasty meal. Especially if you have a large family or crowd and you do not want to break your bank, Wing Wan is the place to go!
Our go to spot for Kosher Chinese. There are so few of these in the neighborhood that we like to support this restaurant! The waitstaff is always kind and attentive. They will give you multiple complimentary Chinese noodles with duck sauce while you wait (which is never really long). Portions are huge, even if you get the "small" portion. We always share. They have a sushi bar too. Worth the money and a great option if you are Kosher
Very standard feeling Kosher Chinese restaurant. Food was good, service was good.
Prices are very good and the menu has American, Chinese and Japanese food.
Love the all you can eat option. Menu is affordable and offers great options. Great place to being the family for a meal. Parking available onsite.
Yummy food. Everything is fresh, unique tasting and delicious. I enjoy seeing the staff and other people.
The foods great every once a month, If you go there to often it’s gonna run you about 500 dollars and 3 hours of your day because you will need a new toilet!
Nice clean place. The food was good. Parole and service was good. I would go back again
only kosher chinese in the area. Food is ok. buffet is pricey. staff very friendly
Food is straight fire. Nothing beats the rice here and the selection of foods is huge! Sometimes my go to (general tzo chicken and fried rice) the chicken has less sauce some days then other but there is no issue asking for sauce on the sides. Cookies for desert are also straight fire. Soup tastes bland but that’s really the only downside.
Good food, kosher with vegetarian and gluten free options, wheelchair accessible and parking lot. It's not big on frills but it's comfortable and the food comes in good sized portions. Wait staff are very nice.
Good food. Bit high priced. I recommend getting the larger portion. Was enough to share and still have leftover for lunch next day. Call order ahead. They are prompt.
Good kosher restaurant, however the wait for take-out or a seat can be a bit long durring their all you can eat buffet night. The prices are good and the portions are fairly large.
The kids meal of chicken nuggets and fries were delicious and fresh tasting. The kids' burger was way overdone, but the kid didn't seem to mind. The Chinese food came 20 minutes after the kids' food which was annoying but grateful it wasn't the other way around with little hungry kids waiting. The chicken lo mein was a hit for everyone. The spicy sesame chicken was tasty too.
A kosher Chinese meat restaurant. So no dairy and no pork (or anything from a pig). At some days and times they have a fixed price buffet downstairs. All kosher. Large portions.
They can do better ordered ribs @ $25 no meat on it waited for food when it was empty
Foods was good. Big quantities. Service good. Recieved cold soup.
Meh. Food was good except the miso soup. Tofu was flavorless and too big.
Very Americanized Chinese food. I prefer authentic. But service and food quality are fine.
Got a side dish (fried rice) that was a bit bland for my tastes but otherwise fine. If i was ever in the neighborhood, I would be happy to come again and try a full meal when I am hungrier.
Average kosher Chinese food, on the expensive side. Our waitress was lovely and attentive.
One of my favorite Chinese restaurants that is historic . Beside this I would probably give it 5 stars but needed to remove 2 when my order of steamed chicken with broccoli came with a long piece of black hair. This should never happen and shows they may have sanitary issues. I will Give them the benefit of the doubt and try it some other time again.
Generous portions and affordable prices. Food is pretty good, but the place is not the most pleasant: definitely not very clean! Smelly! I am not returning because we saw at least three big black flies and one of them tried to land on our lunch. Also, it's a casual place, but one of the waiters looked almost homeless. His shirt was faded, stained, and musty. His beard and hair sweaty and untrimmed, uncombed. Our waitress was mostly helpful and attentive.
Wow this place is crazy! There are bugs flying all over the place, the chicken is good prices are average but the bugs really hurt this review, I don’t know how you can have bugs flying all around the place!!!!!
Tried the beef love mein. Tasted horrible. Either they need a better cook or better quality food
This is the only kosher Chinese restaurant in West Hempstead. They always make mistakes and they even don't give you your food if they run out of something. The food is okay would rather go to five towns or even get from queens.
Food is plentiful but it's a buffet all you can eat, so people of all ages are reaching in with their hands for fruit slices and other stuff. We might order to go but we'd pass on the all you can eat.
Went for lunch with client. Table dirty. Asked waitress if it can be cleaned and she answered all tables cleaned before seating, the dirt that is there is a table chip and not removable. I show her that the particles are movable and she hands me the napkin dispenser to clean myself. Food eh.
The only difference between the general and sesame was the seeds, tasted the same. The wontons seemed off as of the meat was spoiled. Way too overpriced for lack of quality. Place looks run down.
WORST buffet food ever….I WOULD NOTfeed this to my dog …there’s NO FRUIT for dessert what kind of Ripped off buffet is this
The service was awful. The food was o.k., but I asked for a menu to order another dish. When I finally received the menu, I waited until the waiter would come back so I could order another dish. He never came. When he placed the plates for the original order, he moved the plates too close. .. As long as that waiter could possibly be there, I would never go there.
i’m sorry but this food was not it . i eat kosher food all the time the vegetables was cut too big and i threw up everything i ate i will never go here again and if your smart you won’t eat here either horrible and i’m upset my money was wasted for some fake a$$ kosher food ugh!!!!
i was visiting West Hempstead and i saw a glatt kosher chinese restaurant so i stepped and ordered a chicken with vegs it was.disgusting and im not that picky the food tastes like been its been frozen stay away
One positive - service is fast. Here are the negatives - the place is a mess, not clean, old, rundown, ok I can overlook that... but... staff is really gruff, not polite, don't make you feel like a customer. Then there is the real problem, the food. This is not Chinese food, I don't know what it is, but its not Chinese. Flavors are all off, presentation is off, actual dishes were totally wrong. We had some fried wontons, chicken with mushrooms, and sweet and sour chicken, along with some fried and plain rice. The fried rice was actually inedible, it had a chemically taste to it. The rest of the food either had a chemically after taste or no flavor at all, the sauces made no sense, there was more color than flavor, just really, really bad. We actually said "well, here is a place we'll for sure never go to again".
Went there with my two kids to buy some food, was completely ignored. They close the entry door; I could not know that they use the parking side doors, but the concierge played dead. She does not know that I am an Israelite by faith. A brother opened to door for us because he felt embarassed by how rude the Chinese lady was. The food was far worse than their attitude. Eat at another kosher place if you can at all cost.
My husband and I went out to eat at Wing Wan I started to feed my baby when someone came over and told me that I’m not allowed to bottle feed at the table This is outrageous! I was never asked if the bottle is dairy as that seemed to be the problem. Very rude lady escorted us out This is not a kid friendly place Would not recommend eating here
Horrible place. They give you the least amount of meat as possible. Very cheap with the food. Sesame chicken had absolutely no meat inside of it. The rice did not even come separately. Furthermore, I did pick up and they gave the wrong food. I asked for hot and spicy chicken and instead got chicken with onions. However, even with this new order, there was more onions then chicken. The chicken was also greasy and distasteful. Do not be fooled by their cheap prices, it is cheap for a reason.
The food was good but I was surprised and disappointed with how little chicken was actually in the sesame chicken. It seemed that most of it was just fried batter. On the plus side, the portion size was huge so the food will last two meals. Edit: I wrote the first paragraph around 3 years ago and initially gave them 3 stars, but after today's experience, I have to review this review and give them 1 star. They've raised their prices, put less food in the order and actually managed to put less chicken in the sesame chicken. At least 80% of the sesame chicken was nothing but fried batter. I honestly don't know if there was even 2 ounces worth of chicken in my large order of sesame chicken. It's ridiculous.
I would give zero stars if I could. I went in with low expectations and was still disappointed. I ordered chicken with broccoli and vegetable soup. The mushy, sinewy,, greasy chicken was even lower quality than what you would nornally associate with "bad" Chinese food". If they didn't claim it was chicken, you wouldn't know what it was. I was inexplicably given 2 pieces of broccoli and a variety of other vegetables. The sauce had an unpleasantly strong fennel taste. The portion was also tiny for $15, which was a positive since it was that much less waste when I threw it away. The soup was so flavorless I actually added salt to it before noticing the peppers inside were black and spotty and discarding that as well. The best part of the meal was the white rice. I don't get why anyone goes here.
The all you can eat buffet was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. It was expensive, the food was absolutely horrendous, and we were placed in a dreadful basement with foldable tables and 99 cent tablecloth.
Bad service the lady on the cashier and the team really bad and not care from nothing do for you self favor don’t go to this place
Horrible service, terrible staff, they made me ashamed and behaved in a really shameful way. In addition, all the food is not fresh, full of oil and not fresh. I do not recommend it to anyone.
17.50 for a sesame lunch combo no soda…. Asked to swap my eggroll for a soda and they said it would cost 1$ extra… after all that, the food sucked. Chicken was covered in slimey soy sauce.
