Loved it! Amazing food, atmosphere and drinks! I had the cucaracha shrimp x2,that spicy flavor amazing!! We also had the Oaxaca Caesar salad with chicken, the mixed fajitas, and the mussels! Ooh and the drinks!
I came (first time) with my best friend who was visiting from Texas and we were so impressed with the flavors of their food. Both of us with Mexican backgrounds and grew up in south Texas, we know Mexican food and Zarape surpassed our expectations. I've been living in LA for 10 years and have had the hardest time finding a REALLY good Mexican restaurant until now. The food and service here A+. Try their chilaquiles and cafe de olla, you will not be disappointed.
I just had an amazing birthday dinner at this place. It is Oaxacan food. I tasted a bit of everyone's food just to make sure it wasn't just my meal that was delicious! Let me start off by saying... I'm very picky and selective when it comes to food and drinks. In my family, we have a lot of amazing chefs, so I'm a bit jaded. I had the mole chicken poblano, creamy, sweet, and a little spicy. My mom had the tortilla soup, which was very flavorful. My bf is allergic to shrimp, so he asked if they could substitute for more mussels in his paella, and they really delivered! I'm not usually a dessert person, but the churro cake and cheese cake with berries!!! Yes, please. You also must not skip on the chicken empanadas, crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. Great atmosphere, music was fun, service was on point, and the drinks were perfectly balanced. I can't recommend this place enough.
Nice place to meet up with friends, they do get busy so I'd recommend reservations. The food was on point with great flavor and service was excellent even with how busy it was. They have a great bar with amazing selection of tequila to choice from. The bar does have seating if you like seating at it. I would recommend getting there early as parking does get tight.
Absolutely a must visit and repeat visit if you live here! Everything was amazing. Our waiter was so friendly and everything is freshly made. Good portions, exciting menu, and great happy hour selection. We didn’t get a picture of our food lol we were too busy eating. Outside/inside seating and decorated beautifully. Support, support, support they deserve the business!
Zarape kitchen is a fairly new mexican restaurant in West Hollywood. The menu is Your classic Mexican fair with super good prices for the neighborhood. We walked in and for a table right away. Service is great and the menu has all the Mexican food you want. Our tacos and enchiladas were very good, fresh and light. The chips and guacamole were also good. We got our food fast. The restaurant is still waiting for its liquor license so mainly beer and wines are offered but you can still get a margarita made with tequila that contains a lighter alcohol content. Parking can be found with valet in the lot but given it shares the lot with other businesses, that could be a problem. Overall, great experience for a nice get together with friends. Last but not least, breakfast was also on the menu but we did not try it.
I want a plane like this next to my home!! Food was delicious! Spicy margarita just the right level of spice. Cerveche soooo tasty... honestly, everything was good. We tried enchiladas, machacs, and shrimp tacos and loved all of them! Our service was prompt and very attentive, though it was not too crowded when we stopped by.
The best of the best! Don't walk, run to this place! I will literally fly back to Los Angeles from Texas just to eat here. The chilaquiles were amazing. The bartender was top notch as well.
This new Mexican restaurant is what West Hollywood needed. I love Mexican food and this place checks all the boxes and more. I definitely recommend coming here and giving it a try for an amazing culinary experience. They have breakfast too.
Really cute spot for drinks and yummy Mexican food. The atmosphere is really nice especially the outdoor seating. Service is a little slow but the drinks make up for it

I visited Zarape for the first time and it happened to happy hour. I was blown away by how good their chicken tacos and guacamole tasted! I definitely want to explore more items in their menu, especially their margaritas. Special shout out to kindest and most helpful waitress, Bella. She went out of the way to make my experience worthwhile. I’ll definitely become a regular!

My girlfriend and I come here almost every time we’re in LA. Their happy hour is 3-630 and I highly recommend the happy hour mini tacos. The drinks are affordable and pack a punch. The service is always top notch. Isabella was great and the bartender Will is so knowledgeable and full of great recommendations. We will always be back! ❤️
When I first arrived, I had to wait a little longer and stood there. No one was available to help. The bartenders were seeing me yet didn't even prompt the colleague to attend. I understand they're busy and not their job as it may be front of house to seat people but they could have get their colleagues to attend. In the end , I have to ask a customer if it is table service or I have to pre-order. I then sat myself to a table and took another 20 minutes until I called the attention of the wait to get a menu at least. After I've been noticed by the waiter, the service seemed smoother. The food is okay. I have fish tacos with mahi mahi but didn't taste fresh. The guac and chips were gorgeous. The 3 way tacos is also flavourful.
Food is great. Staff is friendly & accommodating Got there before dinner time & left the place when it’s finally busy. Ambience is great!
We went for happy hour and Taco Tuesday and it was delicious (except for the elotes which tasted healthy? and burnt). The green salsa was phenomenal and my favorite taco was the asada which is deliciously spicy. It was my friend’s birthday so they also gave us these fried tortillas with cinnamon and sugar that had us all shook with how good a simple dish could be. Lastly the guacamole portion size was a little small given the price but maybe they give more outside of the happy hour window. Overall though it was a wonderful experience (minus the elotes 😅).
Lovely place with very attentive and friendly staff. The music playing in the background was a very nice touch that sets a great mood while still allowing for comfortable conversation. Great place for lunch. I ordered a burrito which was delicious. The rice was a bit on the harder side but everything else stood out. A no onion order was given with onions but we didn't send it back. The mole is among the best I've tried. Worth coming to give it a try.
Lovely Mexican in West Hollywood. Really nice ambience/vibe. Bit more upmarket than some other Mexicans we visited in the area. We had burritos - beef birria and carnitas. Very delicious but could’ve done with some guacamole inside or a dip of sour cream would’ve been a nice touch! But was probably the only normal size portion we had whilst visiting america (from UK) so at least we felt alright after the meal and not stuffed! The churros were delicious too (a dipping chocolate sauce would’ve been good tho!). Lovely service our waiter described all the different burrito fillings for us 🫶🏼 happy hour ended at 6:30pm which was sad as it used to be 7pm
Came for a simple brunch of huevos rancheros and a Bloody Mary. Both were very good. I wish I had clocked the outdoor seating to the side of the restaurant as I would have sat there but the service was great and it was a nice place to pop into. There was a large party having lunch and they looked like they were having fun!

Solid neighborly catina place in WeHo! There's an outdoor which allows dogs. Yay! Server was super friendly. Portions are a little small compared other places. The guacomole lacked seasoning. Ceviche was okay. Had better..no wow factor. Its decent enough

if you don’t mind wasting time waiting around then this is the spot for you 😂 came by on a Tuesday night around 8pm and was told a 20-30 min wait. host apparently forgot about us entirely when we checked in about 40 mins in, then suddenly sat us right away like nothing happened. we ordered two tacos and the molcajete. tacos showed up impressively fast… except they weren’t the ones we ordered, so back to the kitchen they went. then came the extended intermission…about a 45 min wait until the molcajete finally arrived. flavor wise, this restaurant hit the spot, but I will say the mint rice threw me off a lil. overall good food but the pacing was so chaotic i’ll probably never be back.
Entire experience was underwhelming - came at lunchtime on a Friday and service was extremely slow although the restaurant was mostly empty. Even more disappointing was the food - tacos (tinga, birria, and pastor) were bland. Esquites had no flavor either. We did enjoy the mahi mahi ceviche but overall wouldn’t come back
Had the chips and dips and grilled chicken burritos. To be honest chipotle does 200 times better burritos for half the price. Dry tasteless bland burritos and the salsa Was just like a peri peri sauce poured out of a bottle . 2/10. Don’t trust the fake reviews. This place is not worth it. They need to really learn Mexican before selling Mexican food.

We were told the wait time would be 45 minutes, but after waiting over an hour we were then told to wait an additional 15 minutes. When I spoke with the owner to share my disappointment, he just said they were busy and didn’t seem to care that we were leaving. I now regret all the years I’ve ordered takeout from this restaurant — lesson learned. One less customer for this place. We just went to Off The Hook Seafood Restaurant instead. They were very busy but gave us excellent service, which made all the difference.
