We've been to the old location a few times pre-pandemic and happy to see Azerbaijan Grill in a bigger venue. We dined in with a party of 6 and were warmly welcomed. We sat on the terrace level, spacious and airy. They brought warm pita and yougurt sauce and it was really good. We also ordered hummus and it came beautifully arranged and tasteful. I have the salmon kebab and it was juicy and well seasoned. It went so well with the brown rice and the grilled veg. We also asked for the green sauce. Perfect combo. We were all happy with our order...Jujeh, Barq, Grilled veg, Lamb kebob. Ending dinner with Baklava and Persian tea. Would def be back again.

I've been going to this restaurant for YEARS! First time at the new East Meadow location. Everything is perfect as usual and the atmosphere is so inviting. This location is much larger. I'll be back!

Fantastic Persian cuisine served by wonderful people. I had a big family dinner and they were very accommodating which was nice. We all split some of the appetizer samplers which came with a lot. For dinner, we ordered a few meals to split. All of the kebab was fantastic. Flavorful, tender, and fresh. The sour chery rice had such a unique flavor, definitely a must try. The best dish for me was the lamb shank. The meat was fall off the bone and bursting with flavor. If you're looking for authentic Persian food, served by great people at a great price then you need to try here.

Great Persian food! Not really bland like what some reviews say, I must say that what we ordered were really tasty if I may say. We ordered Fish, Steak and Chicken and they all taste great. It was a bit of a wait though, like 20 minutes but the food was perfectly cooked, Salmon was done perfectly, not under or over cooked and the same with the rest. And they all tasted different. Some place they slather their meats with the same seasoning and then off to the grill, but here you can tell each meat was prepared individually. The price is a little expensive but again, I can say it is priced accordingly with the quality of food. Their white sauce though could use a hint of garlic but I guess its fine. The place looks nice and clean and the wait staff is friendly and helpful.

Solid Persian style restaurant. The staff are friendly and attentive. I personally love the salmon kabob. It's always cooked perfectly. The homemade ice cream is served in cubes in a martini glass, lacks flavor. Parking is a challenge here, so be prepared to circle around a few times.

We were seated right away but the food took about an hour to come out even with the place being empty. Lunch does not include soup or salad but portion sizes are good. When the food came out, it was hot but not as fresh and less seasoned than we have had at other places.

We live nearby so wanted to give it a try. It’s a good restaurant. We ordered Sambuse (appetizer) and a combination platter (entree). That platter is big enough for 4 people to share. The food, ambiance, and service, all was good but nothing spectacular.

The service was good and we have been treated very well, but the beef kabob was not cooked properly and although I asked for well done meat, I was given medium rare meat. Overall not bad , specially the deserts were very good

45 min wait time for order and it was not busy, completely understaffed. One employee was incredibly rude, he should not have a job dealing with people.

Our experience was extremely disappointing. We started with dolmeh, which was served ice-cold, as if it had just been taken straight out of a can from the refrigerator. The food overall felt more Turkish than Persian. They do not serve kabab koobideh and instead claimed that Adana kabab is the same, which is absolutely incorrect. Anyone familiar with authentic koobideh knows the difference, and you will definitely not find the real version here. We specifically asked for our kababs to be well done, but they were undercooked, hard to chew and of very poor quality. Additionally, they advertise having a live DJ, which is misleading. There is no DJ—just YouTube music playing in the background. The most unprofessional and unacceptable part of our visit was what happened after we paid. Because we did not leave the “desired” tip, a staff member or possibly the manager approached us, stopped us in the middle of the restaurant, and pressured us for more money, even turning to other customers and saying they were not paying enough. The situation was embarrassing, uncomfortable, and reflected extremely unprofessional and inappropriate behavior. After such a negative experience—from the food to the service and behavior—I would strongly advise friends and family to avoid this restaurant. Definite NO.
