Just want to say the owner tommy is great so is the food and staff. Even though it was super busy on a Saturday night tommy took the time to talk to me and my coworker and treated us to our surprise to a mozzerella stixappetizer. The marinated skirt steak sandwich was amazing . Ty so much for a great experience it’s hard to find good food late night and colony is a great find.

I really enjoyed everything about the Colony Diner! We got there about 10pm. No problem, great service! I would definitely go back. It's better than some restaurants!

Great dinner. The food was great, the portions were very decent (I took food home and rarely do) and the food itself came out quick. The service was also good, the waiter checked in a few times and made sure we were taken care of. The prices are on par with every other diner on Long Island. The diner itself was very clean and well taken care of. I look forward to coming back soon.

One of the best Diners in the area. Me and my co workers stop by on the weekends after work for a group diner. There usually is no wait time and the food is great with decent prices. My favorite so far has been the butterscotch pancakes which are about $12. Definitely would recommend checking them out if your in the area. HezyJay Instagram: N0Hezitati0n

Great service, large portions. Right near Eisenhower Park. I see a lot of 1 star reviews and after eating here, I call BS on them. We were greeted kindly as we came in and the waitress passed our table a few times asking if everything was OK. This was our first time here as we went to Eisenhower park and gave it a try. It's a typical diner with tables and booths. There are a lot of choices on the menu and even healthy choices too. The service was fine. i asked if something had dairy and he knew it did not.

This is always my go-to area diner. I have been going here since the 90s. The food is always good and consistent. I usually enjoy breakfast food here. Also used to do the turkey burger deluxe with fries and onion rings. Always a win. I really enjoy coming to breakfast. There is something about their pancakes that are eggy and moist. The syrup hits these just right. I usually get a scrambled egg with cheese and some hash browns. I have never been disappointed The two brothers that own the place are always friendly and amazingly do not seem to forget a face. I hope they stay in business for years to come

Are you looking for a diner with diner food and diner vibes? Then this is the place. It's so "diner" like, you'll feel like you walked on a movie set all about the diner experience. Diner food at diner prices, diner service with diner banter, all surrounded by authentic diner decor. It's what you expect from a diner, when you're looking to eat at a diner. You can probably find better than this… but it won't be this 😉. Enjoy!

Haven't been to this diner in over 5 years. Prices seemed on the expensive side for the low quality food we got for dinner. My son's meatballs and spaghetti was watery and the meatballs tasted sour. My California Panini was on stale bread with grill marks. The cheese wasn't even melted and turkey was cold. We got a side of broccoli which was mushy and over cooked. I got the tuna melt, and it was not very appetizing. It had a lot of tuna and they used unmelted American cheese on it. Also the cheese fries were $11, and the burgers are about $20-21 if you want fries. I never leave bad reviews, but this place is very overpriced. The waitress we had was very sweet though and gave amazing service!!!

Last time I went I had a disappointing experience. I asked if we could split the bill since there were two of us, which I don’t think is unusual. The waiter said it was fine and just to let the manager know up front. When I did, the manager started complaining in front of us and acted like it was a big issue. I even said to forget it if it was that hard, but he kept getting more aggravated. As we were leaving he kept saying “next time you gotta ask before” and I honestly wasn’t sure what the problem was. Very strange experience.

I went with my kids to have dinner and I had been faced with a lot of upsetting things. First they serve me and my kids bad food and it had bugs in it. This is not worth the money or the wait or the time I had witnessed the hostess at the front desk harassing a young delivery driver that was just trying to do his job. He said the customer requested extra utensils and the host told him to get out and said “don’t tell me how to do my job your just a driver” just a driver is really rude and insulting. Everyone has a living to make but some people like to judge without knowing people or knowing the reason. Props to the teen for handling it right and left not causing any additional problems. I would never suggest coming here it is a waste of time can’t even have a good time with my kids because of the staff insulting teens and using foul language in front of my 8 year old. Please don’t waste your money and this place is not family friendly they just act professional for a tip…
