Food was amazing! Service was amazing! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Can't wait to go back! Try the Blackened Chicken Penne! It's the best.
WOW 🤩 What a beautiful and modern spot for brunch with friends or family! This place is absolutely stunning, inside and out, with a gorgeous fountain outside that instantly catches your attention. My friend and I stopped by randomly without knowing what to expect, and let me tell you… we were NOT disappointed 👌🏽 We started with sugar-free vanilla oat lattes. They weren’t amazing, but honestly, this isn’t a coffee shop, so no big deal. The service made up for it right away — our waitress came back super quickly to take our order, which we always love! I ordered the Baja Cioppino and WOWWW 🔥 packed with so much flavor and a HUGE portion. Seriously, this dish can easily feed two people, so I highly recommend sharing. My friend ordered the 8oz prime rib French dip, and even though I was way too full to try it, my friend couldn’t stop talking about how delicious it was! Overall, amazing food, great service, and such a beautiful atmosphere. This is definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to — next time with my whole family so they can experience it too! Highly recommend 🙌🏽✨
We had a group of 8, and sat on the big round table on the patio. I ordered the Cajun chicken pesto pasta and it was really delicious. Absolutely would order it again. One of our party is vegetarian and enjoyed his meal. A few of the people in our group had special requests and they were able to accommodate nicely with no misses. Most importantly, our server(Daisy) was on top of everything and didn’t miss a thing. We haven’t been to Marmalade in quite a while and were pleasantly surprised with the quality and flavor of the food and with the service. Also, the patio has been upgraded with some very pleasant lighting which made the ambiance very nice.
So many choices this South Carolina visitor on a work trip didn’t know what to choose. But you can’t go wrong with Chicken and Waffles. My coworker got the Lamb Burger and apparently it was pretty good, as was my dish. Autumn kept our water glasses filled with and checked on us regularly. Nice place to grab lunch.
The famous American style all-day brunch in town. Come here late at around 15:30 then it has changed to the dinner menu as the Benedict are no longer available. Tried the chicken pasta as the sauce is creamy while the chicken breast stripe is fully seasoned and cooked, it comes out to be a huge bowl. Tried the prime rib in the french dip as the rib slices are sauced while additional sauce is offered. I had to say the bread is not as crispy as I thought which comes out to be a soft one. The Tiramisu is great as the staff tells me they make it everyday at the store. It comes out to be a huge one, which makes me totally full but with much happiness. The staff are really welcome, offering the refill for the tasty lemon juice and always ask about my dining experience. Might come back for brunch next time!
I would have rated Marmalade a 5, but the service was just a bit below the five star level. Simple things like getting our glasses of water took far longer than necessary. The food and atmosphere are great, and the prices are reasonable. With just a bit more emphasis on the service, this restaurant will be a very solid 5.
Needed a breakfast fix and found Marmalade Cafe. I ordered the Chorizo Benedict and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. It’s a nice touch that they give you three poached eggs, most places only give two. If you sit outside on a nice day, it has a great vibe with a small water stream running alongside the seating area. Service was good, and there’s plenty of parking. It does get busy quickly, so I recommend coming early.
My wife and I came here to grab lunch on our way back from Malibu. We found parking just fine and arrived when they weren't that busy. I got the club sandwich with fruits and my wife for the shrimp linguine. She loved her shrimp linguine and I thought the club sandwich was okay. It took our food some time to come out and they also charge an extra fee if you pay if a credit card.
The menu looked promising and the food was presented nicely but half our party was not happy with their food. The chicken & waffles was not great, the burger was crunchy. The quesadilla had just the right amount of chicken and was thankfully not too greasy and had great salsa, pico, and guacamole. Most of the party ordered hot chocolate and it had hardly any flavor to it, we went around lunchtime and the sun was in our eyes and there were no shades in the restaurant.
We stopped by this place recently — I ordered the Irish coffee and my husband had a cocktail along with breakfast. The drinks were definitely the highlight — the Irish coffee was smooth and well-balanced, and my husband really enjoyed his cocktail: Aqua Fresca. The food, however, was just okay. Not bad, but nothing particularly memorable either. It did the job, but we were expecting a bit more in terms of flavor. Still, the overall vibe was nice, and the staff was friendly. Worth a visit if you're in the mood for good drinks and a chill atmosphere!
This used to be our favorite restaurant on weekend. So I’m a bit disappointed how it has turned. First they changed 3% on credit card payment. Today I found out that they increased the prices by 10% on the menu. However the food quality has declined. I ordered a lobster Benedict which costs 23 dollars. But see the picture, there is barely any lobster. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
I had a disappointing experience during a recent breakfast at the Westlake location. Our server, Courtney F., appeared to be juggling both hostess and server duties, which may explain why the service felt rushed. Unfortunately, that rush came through in the interaction—our order was taken quickly with no follow-up questions, and when I had additional requests, it felt as though I was slowing things down rather than being helped. The bigger issue occurred when my food arrived with a long hair mixed into several parts of the dish. Courtney did promptly take the plate back and had it remade, which I appreciate, as the situation was clearly unsanitary. However, this resulted in my husband eating alone while I waited for my replacement meal, as his food was already served and would have gone cold. What was meant to be a shared breakfast experience didn’t happen. Despite the service issues, the food error, and the disruption to our meal, no effort was made by management or staff to acknowledge the inconvenience or make the situation right. I paid the full bill without any adjustment or gesture, which was disappointing given the circumstances. I understand restaurants get busy, but basic attentiveness, food safety, and guest experience still matter. This visit fell short on all three.
The hostess in the front is very rude and unprofessional. I went and asked her to be moved because it smelled like toilet in the back of the restaurant where she sat us . While I was asking to be moved she had an attitude and said OKAY! As if I was a burden to her and the request was so obscure to ask her to have us moved . She even had the audacity to roll her eyes and ask me if I was ok ? I was shocked and taken back by her attitude and asked her if she was ok . She walked away and went to talk to another waitress . She needs to be coached and she needs to held accountable for her poor attitude and actions . If she does not want to deal with the public, she is in the wrong profession/ business . Her discription . Young girl with glasses and long light brown hair . She’s in front and a hostess . They need to move her to washing dishes so she doesn’t have to deal with the public’s . This employee is doing more harm to ur business then good . She is unapproachable, unprofessional and rude !
We were there Thanksgiving. There were no spoons or knives or salad forks. I ordered a coke. The waitress put a glass of beige liquid in front of me and left. When she returned I very politely told her the soda fountain had clearly run out of cola. She said she didn't notice. After dinner I got a coke and left it. The waitress was so anxious to turn the table over that she was ready to take my prime rib after one bite and put the check on the table. Pie was included in the cost/meal. She never mentioned desert but tossed a styrofoam container on my table on the salad dish never picked up. I tried to save the rest using a butter knife. She never returned. After 45 minutes I went to the front to pay. The manager was young and not trying to be polite. He was a wreck. For me to pay up front set him off. I mentioned the pie included in the meal. The manager said he was too busy. A bus boy overheard and brought me a piece of pie to go. I just spoke to the GM there and he too is a nervous wreck. They are in over their heads here. I wish I had not tipped but I am decent and did. This place is a no.
No service let alone bad service. I dont care how busy a restaurant is, there is no excuse for arrogance and bad attitude. Ive owned a restaurant and when one is busy is when you NEED to be extra attentive. My husband literally walked out and straight into Farfalle Italian restaurant. We waited 20 minutes at our table for a server to take our order. The blonde young lady who sat us couldn't have been bothered to get a server to us. 3 other tables got seated AFTER my husband and I are their orders got taken, in fact one of their orders hor to their table as we got up to leave. I pointed our issue out to the blond lady (seating hostess) who said "oh well we can send someone now". When I said we were leaving because staff passed us by and that she had not alerted any of them to take our order, so therefore we were leaving, she replied "ok suit your self". I had my father's 90 birthday there 2 years ago. Now I discourage everyone to not bother ordering a glass of water let alone sit down. As I am typing this review on my phone, Farfalle which is busy, have brought our drinks and taken our food order. A couple across from us at Marmalade's outdoor patio just complained about their food. Im glad it wasn't just us although sorry for the couple who waited so long for their food only to get below par quality. Respectfully Marmalade owners, get staff and hostesses at the level of the echelon one would expect from your establishment.
