A little pricey but the food is tasty and fresh. I like the My Quang and the Banh Beo the most. My dear sister likes their Banh Canh. Sometimes, the wait is pretty long. We have been coming to this restaurant since they were at their old location for 15+ years.
Delicious bun bo hue with great tasting soup. Didn’t even need all the aromatics like mint and basil to supplement. The Vietnamese iced coffee is super strong too! They have outdoor dining so plenty of space to socially distance! Come try it out! They have a vegetarian one next door too owned by them if that is better suited for you!
Everything is delicious. The Mi Quang has just the right amount of heat in the sauce to let you know that it is in charge. I could probably eat 3 orders of bun bro myself. The smokey, lemongrassy grilled beef wrapped in rice noodles are perfect and the anchovy sauce has just the right about of funk.
Delicious flavors and beautiful interior! Got their bun bo that had solid broth flavors with fresh herb toppings. I will be coming back often if I'm ever craving homey Vietnamese food. 10/10!
Great experience from service to food. 8/20/25 7pm. Shoutout to the adorable chef and waiter, they made our dining experience lovely. Never been more accommodated as a vegan and the chef personally came out to offer me different options and recommendations. She was so cute and welcoming! The waiter was lovely and attentive, and the food was also great! Quan Hy, shout out to your staff, they did a great job today!
#1 Banh Beo (steamed rice cakes), #19 Bun Bo Hue, #43 Mì Quảng (turmeric noodle dish), #25 Banh Canh Tom Cua (noodle soup w crab & shrimp) • Friendly, welcoming staff who make the dining experience smooth and enjoyable. • Delicious, well‑seasoned dishes with authentic Central Vietnamese flavors. • Good selection of vegetarian options for mixed‑diet groups. • Clean, modern, and spacious interior that feels comfortable and well‑maintained. • Large layout that can easily host big parties or family gatherings.
I love coming here every time I’m in Orange County! This restaurant is a must-visit for anyone who enjoys authentic Central Vietnamese cuisine. The food is always flavorful and consistent, the service is friendly, and the place has a welcoming atmosphere. I’ve introduced this spot to many of my friends and family, and they all loved it too. It’s definitely one of my go-to places whenever I’m craving delicious Vietnamese food. Highly recommend!
Everything qas delicious. I dont remember the names of the dishes we ordered (3), but we share a pic pf how everytjhing was finished.....we are coming back foure. Great food great service elegant and clean space The perfect combination.
Wow! What a hidden gem Quan Hy is! I recently dined here, and I can confidently say it was an amazing experience from start to finish. - Delicious Mi Quan: The Mi Quan that I ordered was absolutely delicious! The flavors were rich and satisfying, making it one of the best dishes I’ve had in a while. - Great Vegetarian Options: My husband is a vegetarian, which can sometimes make dining out a bit challenging. However, he ordered the vegetarian Mi Quan and was pleasantly surprised by how tasty it was. It’s great to find a place that caters to diverse dietary needs without compromising on flavor. - Wonderful Atmosphere: The ambiance and atmosphere at Quan Hy are fantastic. It’s cozy and inviting, which added to our overall enjoyment of the meal. The service was also exceptional, with attentive staff who made us feel welcome. - Menu Temptations: I found myself wishing I could order everything on the menu just to try it all out! There are so many enticing options that I can’t wait to explore on our next visit. Overall, we will definitely be coming back the next time we’re in town to try more items. If you’re looking for a delicious meal in a warm and inviting setting, Quan Hy is the place to be! Highly recommended!
Gave this place a try and everything was very good, the only thing I would say is that the bun bo hue is a little bland, other than that everything was great! The service was good and our server was very friendly. Will be back! :)
Went here for brunch. Nice decors & prompt service. Foods were very good, especially the Banh Beo and My Quang. Large portions. Delicious. Ice sweet coffee was perfect - strong & sweet.
We were having a difficult time choosing a restaurant to eat at while visiting Lil' Saigon and decided on this place! We were excited and learned new dishes! Food was completely fresh and staff was kind and wasn't bothered by out lack of knowledge. Thanks for the good good and hospitality!
Very good service, food is cheap and clean, flavors are great! Gush tanks are so clean too xD
We were welcomed with warm smiles on a Wednesday morning. The staff were attentive with our party. We ordered mi quang, banh canh cua tom, and bun bo hue. Every soup had their specialty flavors and uniqueness. I am absolutely in awe with their homemade chewy banh canh noodles. You can tell it is made with love and warmth. 10/10 will be back soon!

This should be a good go to place if they are not crowded. Situated right at the heart of Little Saigon so please expect crazy traffic and long line of waiting. The parking is shared with many other popular stores and a nearby supermarket so it's tough sometimes to get a parking spot. The food is decent. They are famous for bun bo hue and banh beo chen. We tried bun sua and it's actually better than we expected.
I would say the food is like 9 out of 10. Pretty tasty and delicious👌🏻. But if u already have good food and furnish, pls employee waiter more professional, instead of a bunch of young teenagers knowing nothing and playing phone on the front desk after I looking around asking for ice water twice🤷. Unless it is a family business and they r the son of restaurant owners 🫠. Go for the special shrimp and yellow noodles, it is gooooood🤛🏻
Update: Came back for more dishes. One little note: shrimp on bánh bèo had muddy flavor in some farm-raised seafood. Same good service, ty This restaurant specialized in the central region of Viet food. We came there twice in two days to try different dishes. The host gave us warm welcomes both times, he intentionally chose a good table to give us some space from others (when he could). On our first day, we tried vegan yellow rice noodle #15 and vegan lemongrass rice noodles #14. Didn’t like #15, just a note to their chefs: there was a strong flavor coming from either (1st guess) too much of vegan mushroom seasoning, it likely gave this flavor in more concentrated broth or in fried rice if too much of it, and/or (2nd guess) quality of the noodles. I personally loved #14, the broth and other ingredients was great, best lemongrass Hue vegan noodle soup I had ever had (there might be mushroom seasoning in this also but not detected maybe cuz in clear, not concentrated broth), liked their fresh herbs/veggies. On our 2nd day, we tried and liked both #17 jackfruit salad (too little of jackfruits but still enjoyed other fresh ingredients in it) and #23 salmon with crab, shrimp cake soup noodles. I couldn’t find any crab in the bowl and couldn’t taste any crab in their shrimp cake either, it was still great though. Just being a little critical for their chefs to be aware. Overall, we liked our experiences, will come back
I haven’t been back here at this restaurant for years since it opened. Things were looked the same as customers still coming and waiting to eat. The restaurant was very cleaned and staffs were very nice and professional. The noises were medium and respectful. We tried out the foods on their menu and they were delicious . Actually, we were happy with all the dishes that we ordered. Minus the coffee it was not like the other Vietnamese coffee I had tried at other places. Overall this is very decent place to eat and very practical prices.
Very Authentic! Not the typical Pho restaurant with a focus on pho noodles Plenty of selection, would be better if the server had a bit more English speaking or more organized when doing the order and bill splitting - otherwise a great place to try.
One of my favorite Vietnamese restaurants! Of course come here for the banh Beo. Their noodle dishes are great too, well known for Bun Bo Que and banh canh. They also have solid drinks Vietnamese iced coffee and coconut juice. It’s your typical Vietnamese service though, so don’t expect much in that department. I called to make a reservation in advance and that didn’t go smoothly. When we showed up the lady was just so confused. Ended up having to put our name down on a wait list but it was ok, not much of a wait anyway! I have so many bad words for the parking. So crowded and of course we went on a Saturday. Wait staff we had to flag down several times for the basics like utensils and dishes. But the food more than makes up for it!!! The decor is higher end than your average hole in the wall spot. It looks nice inside, with a pond and fish tank. Clean and modern looking. Sanitary. Lol!
I can see this restaurant getting busy. Luckily when we went, there was seating right away! We got the staple (#1 on the menu) Banh Beo. Made really well, flavors are good, the sauce it comes with is good but it actually tasted better with the nuoc cham sauce that came with eggrolls. Eggrolls (#9 on the menu) were very tasty! Came with the perfect leafy greens and leafy herbs. Wish the fry on them was crispier though. And we also got the Banh It Ram (#6 on the menu) which again tasted better with the nuoc cham sauce because the sauce it came with was the same as the Banh Beo. If you like the mochi chewy texture with crispy edges, you’ll like these! The filling was really good, definitely could’ve used more. And we tried the Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. Just okay. They jam pack it too much with ice so you barely really even get any coffee. I also go the Pandan Vietnamese Coffee at the end (that menu was only seen at the cash register desk area) it wasn’t on the regular menu. This one was really good. Would order again! Service was really great! Everyone was very nice. Very helpful. Didn’t rush us. Checked in on us. Super sweet with providing what we needed for our togo stuff too! Parking is a super busy free parking lot.
We used to love coming here a long time ago each time we visited OC, once upon a time when the waitlist was very long. After a few years of hiatus from exploring other eateries, we decided to revisit to see whether our favorite banh beo, banh it, and com hen remain great. We previously tried bun bo hue and other items but those were not memorable. I enjoyed the "fresh" chopped shrimp here vs the dry shredded shrimp at other places. The fish sauce, the most important ingredient IMHO, continues to be consistently good-banh beo 4.5*. The banh it wasn't hard or too mushy, 4*. The com hen, clam soup, and "special nam" sauce appeared consistent and great, 4.5*. Of course prices increased similar to many other eateries...even McDonald's and In N Out burgers went up due to the higher wages. So no fault of the restaurant I supposed. Overall, we would return for our main favorite items only.
Good food for vegetarians. Good flavors and portions. Price is good. One negative, is that they prefer you pay cash for high bill, due to merchant fees.
Very good food. Although it was busy for dinner and they only 2 servers, they did a great job and everyone was always taken care of. This is my first time here and I liked everything that we ordered because it was flavorful and not bland nor too salty: - banh beo : fish sauce with cut fresh chilli peppers - bun bo hue : lots of vegetables with a side of chilli oil to make it spicy to your liking - com suon ram : the side of soup was delicious and not just pho broth. The fish sauce has some red chili peppers which gave it just a mild kick. - Vietnamese iced coffee : 3.5/5 stars thoughts of ice and flavor is decent I would come back.

It's been over 10 years since I've been back here. I've always came here for the Bun beo. It seems to have changed a bit but still better than most places. The consistency and texture of the bun beo was a lot more firm compared to before but still very delicious. The Mi Quang was phenomenal, perfect ratio of protein, veggies, and noodles with no additional sauce needed. Overall, food was great. Service, however was subpar. The restaurant was well staffed but they were not attentive. Many of the wait staff were on their phones, chit chatting, and distracted. I was speaking very highly of this place to my wife but the service was a bit disappointing.
The place is pretty nice, the staff can use some manners and be more attentive, our good took too long as they served my 2 friends that were asian and me n my friend that were mexican they forgot and didn't even bring our foid till like 15m after we told them.. I took no pics of my food just my friends as I was hungry
First time trying this Vietnamese food restaurant, it is okay, not wow and not yuck. Staff are not attentive, but they do bring the food out fast once you order. It didn't stand out that much that I would return. It was pricey for smaller portions and not much pictures on the menu to know exactly what to get. The noodle soups are more likely their specialty, so lean towards that and it has veterinarian options. Parking is free and easy.
This restaurant has a variety of dishes but I’ve only been once so can only comment on what I had. The banh canh was awesome, not surprising. I saw tons of people eating it so I think it’s one of their specialties. We also had the beef rolled in steak rice paper/cake which was pretty good, though maybe slightly overpriced for how quickly they can make it. The large fish tanks were a nice touch for the ambiance. One word of warning regarding service: this is a typical Little Saigon restaurant so don’t expect stellar manners and the wait staff to be extremely attentive :)

Very spacious and there were a lot of empty tables but made us and the group before us wait 10 mins. I think this place is only for local Vietnamese as the sign was hard to read and hard to pronounce.. even my Vietnamese friend who took me there couldn't remember how to spell the name. Anyway, I tried Mi Quang and did not like it at all. Their pork had really strong smell that I couldn't even finish.. egg noodle was over cooked. I even tried their famous ban beo but the rice paper portion was too much compared to the topping. I could only taste the rice paper and barely the topping. Sorry but I do not wanna go back..not my kinda Vietnamese food :(
Bun bo hue had no flavor AGAIN, and definitely not authentic, so i was very disappointed. As you can see from my picture, it looks just like plain old soup broth, not the dark spicy & flavorful broth that bun bo hue is famous for. The meat was extremely tough & impossibleto chew, so I tossed that to the side. Another disappointing visit of many here. Their saving grace is their banh beo, but it's nearly impossible to screw that up. It seems that they offer less dishes of banh beo per order too. Their MI Quang was really good the first time I had it a few years back, but the next two times I had it, it was so bland, watery, and sucked so bad, I never ordered again. The food here is extremely inconsistent, so if you're ever craving a certain dish, and must have the real deal, go somewhere else. It's 50/50 gamble here. This has happened to me numerous times when I come here, no matter what I order, it could be pretty good one day, then totally sucks the next few visits. I'll probably only come here for banh beo, and bun this nuong, since they're both easy to make, and doesn't require talent in the kitchen. Their prices have gone up quite a bit. We usually pay around $37 each time we come, but this time it was about $50. Needless to say, we were pretty shocked when they rang us up. They did change their hours to stay open till 9pm, from the ridiculous early hours before. They were taking last call at 7:30pm, and closing by 8pm up until recently. Eat here if you like to gamble.
It'd be a 1 star if it wasn't for the friendly server and nice interior 😬 We had high expectations for the restaurant considering the menu had good options and seemed promising. Unfortunately, we were deeply disappointed with the terrible quality of the ingredients and unusual flavors. * Bánh Bèo: 6/10 - shrimp didn't taste fresh at all * Bánh Bèo Chả Tôm Chả Huế: 5/10 - the additional plate of shrimp and pork patties was just weird and didn't make sense * Mì Quảng Đặc Biệt Có Sứa: 7/10 - flavor was weird * Gỏi Hến: 6/10 - sesame crackers were old and didn't go with the salad * Iced Tea: 9/10 - refreshing There seemed to only be 1 server working and he was friendly and kind. The interior was nice and they have a cute bridge when you first walk in. The restaurant is located in the Today Plaza so it can get crowded at peak times. Extremely disappointed and we don't plan on coming back any time soon -- or ever.
After seeing 4 stars from over 1000 reviews we figured this restaurant would be promising. Perhaps it was really good years ago but our suggestion is to read the current reviews. The starters were delicious and fresh. Our entrees looked beautiful but lacked seasoning and flavor. Besides the chicken being cold, it was even paired with cold rice. The soup tasted like room temperature tap water. Only reason we gave it an extra star was for the starters.
