Happened upon this restaurant in our way to a ski vacation. An unexpected surprise. Delicious and authentic Turkish food. Nice vibe.
Our waiter, Obi was very attentive, helpful and pleasant. The cocktails were great and the food was delicious.
The Beyti and Doner Kebab are delicious 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻 Great taste and quality. I definitely recommend this place! 💯
I have been here a few times now, and I am obsessed with their food. They always provide delicious and flavorful meals that I wouldn't expect to find in a rural area. I highly recommend their Turkish breakfast, dolmas, and stuffed eggplant. Their service is fantastic! I highly recommend this restaurant for anyone!
Delicious food-high quality and flavorful. The lavash bread is different from any other Turkish restaurant I've been to-it's so soft. Love their hummus, baba, grape leaves, and lentil soup. Cozy, comfortable atmosphere.
My boyfriend and I had our first date here. Met online and met at Tuckerbox for our first meet and had a great lunch! Friendly people, great atmosphere, and amazing food (my first time trying this kind of food). We have decided to go back every year for the anniversary of our first date. Can't wait till June to make the drive back there to eat some great food!
I had the VT striploin at this Turkish restaurant in Vermont and it was absolutely delicious — perfectly cooked, flavorful, and well presented. The sides were fresh and complemented the steak really well. I also want to give special thanks to our server, Ege, who is Turkish. He was extremely professional, knowledgeable, and very descriptive when explaining the menu, which made the experience even better. His friendly attitude and attention to detail truly stood out. Great food and excellent service — I would definitely recommend this place and look forward to coming back!
Hello everyone, yesterday I went to Tuckerbox restaurant with my esteemed guests, and I wanted to share my experience with you. First of all, as a Turk, finding a Turkish restaurant in such a small city was very exciting for me. The atmosphere, authenticity, and aesthetic appearance I encountered when I entered reminded me of Cappadocia architecture. With my guests, we first ordered appetizers. We tried stuffed grape leaves, various mezes, and hot pastries. For the main course, we chose various kebabs and wine/cocktails. I tried the Beyti kebab; the portion was quite large, and most importantly, it was very delicious. We finished with complimentary baklava, and it felt like I was back in Turkey. After the meal, I met the restaurant owner, Mr. Vural, and saw how things are run behind the scenes, and that all the spices, dry goods, and deli products come from Turkey. Quality is not a coincidence; I would like to thank Mr. Vural and his team very much for hosting my guests and me so wonderfully. You should definitely visit if you have the chance!
Huge respect to the owners of this lovely Turkish restaurant. We were visiting this town and found out about this place and the next cafe place. We came here for breakfast/brunch and seated quickly to a booth. We ordered Menemen with added Sucuk and turkish white cheese (TOP CHOICE). It was one of the best we ate on the trip especially the succulent Sucuks. We also tried sour cherry turkish jam which was good. We also tried the Sigara Boregi (4 pieces only), and it had little fillings than I expected but good flavor. We also ordered cappuccino and turkish tea which were great! The place has a nice Turkish decor and friendly staff. Overall, this place is worth a try especially for a breakfast/brunch.
I was dazzled by my first visit to Tuckerbox! I ordered the fall specialty gin cocktail with cardamom which was awesome! I ate the chicken Guvek (Tavuklu) casserole and it was a yummy food experience! I highly recommend the atmosphere and food. I will be back- dinner before a show is the best!
Food, service, and atmosphere were amazing. Couldn't have had a better anniversary dinner. Our server (Anna), made wonderful recommendations and was very warm and professional. From appetizers to main course to dessert - everything was delicious!
Our family of folks from age 1 1/2 to 78 in a wheelchair enjoyed an early supper sitting outside at this Turkish restaurant. The food was delicious! Lamb kebabs, eggplant stew and yummy desserts as well as special appetizers were devoured by all. Fast friendly service. Recommend it, specially sitting outside. Prices aren’t cheap but you get what you pay for.
Must have is the kunafe. I know this is a dessert but just order it and will not regret it unless you’re lactose intolerant or allergic to nuts. If so very unfortunate. The meat mix and everything else on the picture was a chef’s kiss, except the octopus. Compare to the price $17.99, octopus portion was wayyyyyy too small. It was good but was a little surprised by the size. Service was great, it was a little busy so service was a bit slow but who cares if the food is good.
I have never been here for anything but stellar service and food. Sunday brunch is superb and the kebobs for dinner never disappoint. Swordfish and beef are my favorite. For an appetizer get the meza sampler. You will NOT be disappointed. We were 3 people and got the smaller order. More than enough with our meal. The wine flight was really good and worth it.

A new favorite, drove out to taste and the experience was well worth it. Food is outstanding, the service can't be beat and casual ambiance is superb! A must try restaurant, I will be back!
Fantastic turkish food. Great ambiance, and friendly staff. The restaurant was busy, but we were served quickly. If I didn't live so far away, I'd come more often!
Yum!! Lunchtime on a Tuesday and the place is hopping! Food - delicious. Service - friendly and attentive. Ambience - warm, relaxing, interesting. I can't wait to come back!
Wonderful varied turkish menu, with both classic dishes and some new twists! Beautifully rendered and well served!

Loved the interesting Turkish breakfast. Food was great here. It was expensive for dinner, but the Hotel Coolidge gave us a discount coupon for breakfast. It was wonderful!

Went to Tuckerbox on a busy Saturday night. The food was good, very fresh and you can tell it’s homemade. Service was attentive enough considering how busy it was. My only real complaint is the price to portion ratio, as the prices are a little high for the given portions…. But, the owner was very nice and we left satisfied, would definitely come back if we lived in the area.
Wanted to mention that the portions were really small. My baklava platter had three 1" square pieces, nothing like what is pictured. My appetite was much bigger than the Chicken Guvec (cassarole). Could have eaten two servings and I'm not a big eater.
We stopped in here on a whim for lunch and I am glad we did. The hostess asked if we had reservations (we did not), apparently that is a good idea because they are normally much busier at 1pm when we arrived, but she was easily able to seat my husband and I. Honestly, I was hoping to have a soup of some type but there was none available on the menu so I opted for the chicken salad Sandwich (didn't seem a very Turkish fare), but it was good...although the Sandwich needed more chicken salad to offset the thick Texas toast; there really was very little on the Sandwich. My husband had their PLT, a sandwich that had more substance to it (there was more bacon on it than there was chicken on my sandwich)...but again, both sandwiches tasted good. To drink we tried a couple of their cocktails and while tasty and unique they were very speedy, $16 is far too much to charge for them...the price definitely prevented me from having another, and when we go back to have dinner...we probably will skip drinks (not worth $32 for two people.) Don't get me wrong, we aren't cheap people, we just want a good value...the drinks aren't that. Our server was great! He was friendly, helpful, and there when we needed him. Couldn't have asked for more from him. We did also have a hot appetizer. I forget the name of it now, it was $9 for 2, deep fried rolls (like egg rolls of a sort but with Philly dough and filled differently), these were very good...I could have eaten several, I wish I remembered what they were, but they are last on the list of hot appetizers so you can find them.
Mixed appetizer was amazing. Entrees were quite good except I ordered a dish with lamb meatballs and received a lamb stew instead. Service was good and fairly attentive. Alas like all restaurants in older buildings and during busy times, was very very loud. Very hard to have conversation. Overall food was delicious and service good but at this point in my life, I’d rather have mediocre food in a quiet setting than good food in a loud one!
I arrived about 10 minutes after the restaurant opened, so there was no wait time, and I felt welcomed right away as I sat at the bar. The waiter was great at first, but as the place filled up, the wait times became quite long—especially for coffee, which took over 15 minutes. The wait for things like my takeout box was also excessive. I mentioned to the gentleman behind the bar that while I know it’s not his fault, more help would be beneficial during busy times, and he was very professional about it. The food was good but not as hot as I’d hoped. I also expected it to be a little tastier and juicier. The dessert, however, was delicious. I also really enjoyed the Turkish coffee, and the cocktail I had was magnificent. Overall, the staff was kind, and the atmosphere was nice, but the long wait times were disappointing. More help behind the bar would likely improve the experience. I would definitely go back to try it again.

Great food but call ahead to make a reservation. The hostess was kind enough to squeeze us in which we really appreciated. Terrific food.

We were really excited to eat Turkish food since we had eaten it many times in the past and have a lot of Turkish friends. I ordered the tenderloin kebab medium rare and we were disappointed when we received meat that smelled bad. When I cut it in the middle it was dark! It was obvious that the meat was not fresh because of the smell. We were disappointed especially for the price. The waiters were really nice to change my dish and did not complain. The other dish I ordered was good! We are probably not going to go back though.
The restaurant is grossly overpriced. I would say that every meal is $5 more than it should be. I ordered a spiced chicken wrap. For $14 + tax + tip + credit card fee, I got a small sandwich that left me hungry. They even didn't put any accompaniment like a few pita chips on the plate. My partner had a mezza platter for 4 (it was barely enough for one) and a soup. After tax, tip and fees, it came to $35! For these prices, one expects to leave satisfied. Unfortunately, that didn't happen! I can confidently say that I ate there 2x (my first and my last).
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere and beautiful decor, and the hosts were kind and welcoming. Unfortunately, the food didn’t quite meet our expectations, which was disappointing since we were really excited for a Turkish lunch. The portions were quite small (for example, four pieces of grape leaves for $11.99 and two paçanga böreği for $9.99), and the paçanga böreği barely had any pastırma inside. Overall, the food quality felt below average compared to authentic Turkish standards. I hope they consider bringing in a chef who’s more familiar with traditional Turkish cuisine, because the place itself has great potential.
