Very beautiful space with delicious food, and even better service. Thank you to our server Taylor who was so accommodating. Make sure to get the grilled carrots, octopus, and crab cakes! Make sure to ask for their specials! Will definitely be back!

I went for brunch. The food was fantastic. I got the oysters, they were the best oysters I've had in a while. The fig dip with goat cheese was delectable and of course the mimosa was perfect. Would highly recommend.

Visited Bank and Vine for the first time with my girl friends for the girl dinner special. From the time we entered, to the time we left, the staff was incredibly sweet and went above and beyond to create such a beautiful and unique experience for us. The food and drinks were delicious and presented beautifully! We had a great time and will definitely be back!

All I have to say is WOW. Went here recently for a work dinner - we had a limited menu but between our group, we tried pretty much everything. Everything we had was outstanding! We also received complimentary fried potatoes and ratatouille. I can not wait to come back and have raved about the dinner to multiple ppl since being there a few nights ago. Edit : went for brunch in June 2022 blood mary - 7/10 flavor but packed a punch Complimentary deviled eggs - 5/10 Bacon - 7/10 - prefer crispy but they have thick cut so can't make it super crispy. Chicken and waffles - 9/10 - there is a bone which threw me off but I stripped it then ate it that way. The food is outstanding - the price is quite up there though - definitely not a weekly place to go but on occasion will definitely be back.

Bank+Vine absolutely blew my mind with the food quality. We had a 5 star experience, the service is one of a kind and this place has a special vibe, you can feel the energy which made this our #1 spot for a perfect date night. We have tried many restaurants before and after, it’s just that nothing comes close if you’re looking for premium grade high quality food especially the dessert is absolutely delicious! And it’s a must try, they said they have a pastry chef on site which is so rare these days.

Came for my birthday dinner. A spectacular historic building is the setting. The menu is concise and everything was on point. Custom cocktails, attentive service, unique food, good music and atmosphere. Will return for sure.

Lamb plate, duck confit, carrots, burrata appetizer, and dessert. My favorite dining option so far from Wilkes-Barre to Binghamton when out for a more refined dining experience when it comes to flavors. Every dish I tasted was expertly balanced and executed. Front of house was experienced, helpful, and welcoming. My server was Max who was very knowledgeable. Dishes were brought out with great timing and the atmosphere still feels relaxed!

Bank + Vine knocked it out of the park. Beautiful atmosphere, exceptional service and the food was top notch for a great price. We had the deviled eggs, chocolate doughnut, cinnamon bun, blini w caviar, shakshuka, biscuits w gravy and a side of potatoes. Everything was absolutely perfect on all levels. It was our first time and we enjoyed it so much that I'd love to get back for dinner one day soon. This is a must stop for brunch.

Our dining experience at Bank and Vine on 12/23/22 was extraordinarily pleasant. The food was exquisite and the atmosphere absolutely delightful. We arrived for our 7 p.m. appointment and was greeted immediately by the hostess, who took our coats and guided us to our table. About a minute later, Matthew, our server, arrived and told us about the evening's specials. He took our wine orders, returned quickly with the drinks, and then took our order. The burrata cheese and prosciutto plate, with winter citrus (grapefruit and orange) and balsamico appetizer was fresh and delicious, spurring our appetites. We were also treated to a complimentary small plate of Italian gigante beans in extra virgin olive oil, which was better than I ever imagined a plate of beans could be, leaving me wonderfully surprised. I had the Tagliatelle Cacio e pepe with Guanciale and hard egg yolk, which was heavenly. The sauce was very creamy, the pasta served al dente, and the portion adequate. The pepper in the sauce was not overpowering, and blended well with the Guanciale. The spaghetti carbonara, black pepper, truffle, and egg (poached) was also delectable. Again, the pasta was served al dente, and the yolk mixed in well with the rich sauce, and proving to be an utter delight. As with the appetizer, we were also give a complimentary plate of blistered Shishito, sweet peppers, pecorino, mildly soaked in olive oil and served with a hollandaise sauce. The pepper assortment was very tasty, and the hollandaise sauce a satisfying companion. Finally, for dessert, we had a milk chocolate Budino, with butterscotch caramel, and a house creme fraiche. The dish was very decadent, and was served with a complimentary molasses cookie, which was soft, sweet, and scrumptious. As a tasteful birthday nod to my girlfriend, a single lit candle was wedged in the plate's groove. Bank and Vine is part of the Friedman Hospitality Group, known for it's fine dining. We dined at several of the group's establishments, and disappointment in our selections were extremely rare. Bank and Vine was the best dining experiences we had this year, and I'm looking forward to visiting more of Friedman's venues in 2023.

An elegant restaurant with amazing food, even the salad was very tasty. Excellent service and upscale environment

Wonderful Bistro in an old bank building in Wilkes-Barre, PA. The duck confit was outstanding except for the fact that it was far too salty. This should be easy to correct. The salad and pasta dishes that my wife ordered were too intense.

I've been here twice now for brunch and both times were great. The service is good (shoutout to our waitress Jill!), you get decent portions for the price, and the food is some of the best I've had in NEPA (I'm from Philly and perpetually disappointed by food here). The chicken and waffles are great, although I'd suggest asking for your butter on the side because they slather it on and it gets super soggy otherwise. I also enjoyed the country biscuit, berry brioche donut, and housemade nutella French toast. The décor is really bright and nice as well!

The food here is delicious and the ambiance is very chill. The chef sent my table complimentary deviled eggs that had a zingy twist. I also had a strawberry “mimosa” which hit the sweet spot (even though there was no orange juice in it)

Wonderful dinner. We started with drinks and beef Tartare. The flavor combinations were perfect. Dinner was NY Strip and Duck confit. The steak was so smooth. The sauces for both were delightful. We were given an extra turnip carpaccio. It was the perfect step in-between appetizers and dinner.

While the first impression inside the door was a bit brash, it was immediately turned around by accommodating a special request for a different table. The server was happy, engaging, and full of suggestions, which is great! The bar manager delivering the drinks and taking time for conversation about how they are supporting local distilleries was completely unexpected and severely pleasing! That being said, the drinks were creative, not overpowering and very flavorful. The raw crudo and octopus small plate to start were without flaw, and the lamb and branzino entrees fell nothing short of perfection. Thank you for the wonderful experience. Will certainly be back!

Executive Chef Chad Gelso hits it out of the park with his new dining venture, Bank + Vine. His menu is fresh and innovative and the flavor profiles of his dishes are absolutely fantastic. We had the wonderfully prepared raw oysters, turnip carpaccio and roasted carrots, followed by the striped bass. The dessert menu was also excellent, especially the Meyer lemon tart and the decadent bubino. The wait staff could not have been more attentive and they are clearly dedicated to ensuring that guests enjoy their experience. True fine dining right here in Wilkes Barre, PA! Can't wait to come back soon to try their Sunday brunch.........

Super delicious fine-dining option in Wilkes Barre. Everything was delicious and the staff was super attentive. The chef came out to thank us and ask for feedback which was a nice touch. I look forward to coming back soon.

Cannot say more about the great experience I had at Bank & Vine. We were a large party (8) from out of town. By the time of our reservation (7:45) they had run out of one or two things but that gave me confidence that it was a true scratch and somewhat seasonal kitchen. We all ordered drinks, shared a few small plates, entrees, and desserts. Highly recommend the Roasted Carrots with Lemon Yogurt small plate and the Burrata. Everything was delicious and the service was honestly amazing. We never had to look for someone. They thought of things before we even thought to ask! If you're in the area looking for a nice meal, this is it!

Excellent dinner in a beautiful restaurant. The place was packed on a Wednesday night. This week the menu was all Italian so the dishes weren't from the normal menu but that's ok we'll just have to go back again!

This place never disappoints!! The burrata is something out of this world the way the chef prepares it😋 Delicious and fresh quality food! And amazing service. Highly recommend for a nice date or a casual relaxing evening dinner.

My friends and I went to their Bridgerton brunch. It was really cute but misleading. We thought the mimosas and flowers were included with the 50$ ticket, we were charged and additional $30 for the drinks and $20 for the bouquet… The service and atmosphere was great! We enjoyed ourselves and mingled. All of the appetizers were delicious but the main course was under whelming. The eggs Benedict was undercooked, the crab came straight from a container, it wasn’t cooked prepared and differently. The French toast was literally 1 piece ( these were 2 different Main courses, you choose one or the other and the crab was a 9$ upgrade) …. I had to send it back twice and on the third time that bright me someone else’s food. At that point. I didn’t want anything.. lol.. over all it was fun they just need to work out there menu for their themes.

The best cocktails and small plates in NEPA. The bartenders are charismatic and are masters at what they do. Service is always extremely organized. It’s me and my husband’s favorite place to go for quick cocktails at the bar or a celebratory meal. It’s very clear that the Chef has passion and love for what he does. The menu is playful, fresh and refined. It seems like every month or so they host a unique out of the box themed dinner — seafood boils, New Orleans dinner, North African dinner, Spanish tapas dinner, etc. The best small plates on the classic menu are the heirloom tomato salad and the tuna crudo. Thank me later.

Boyfriend lives in NEPA and we are frequently exploring viable breakfast/brunch options. Do yourself a favor and go to Bank + Vine. Our meals yesterday were incredible. Staff was very nice, even swinging over to give us a complimentary waffle. Boyfriend's Corpse Reviver cocktail was beyond good, and that's coming from someone who can't hang with absinthe. Our mimosas, aka Buckets of Bubbles, involved fresh squeezed orange juice. Interior of the restaurant was lovely to boot. We will definitely be back!

The food is no doubt 5 stars. We attended the seafood boil and I want to go back immediately 🥰 I think it was just a monthly special but what an ENJOYABLE meal!! And amazing Sangias. Beautiful place inside and out to eat. Spacious. Wonderful place for a date 100%.

Had a awesome experience here. Food was delicious and many options to choose from. The presentation was great too as well as the drinks. They really do a great job to go above and beyond a typical restaurant and stand out as a restaurant you need to go to. I'm excited to have gone here but can't wait to go back.

I had the pleasure to be a guest at a wedding this past weekend & I was truly impressed by Taylor and her entire crew. Everything was executed beautifully and ran so smoothly from beginning to end. The team was professional, organized, and incredibly attentive to every detail, which made the entire experience enjoyable and stress-free for everyone attending. You could clearly see the level of care and coordination behind the scenes. I also have to specifically recognize the bathroom attendants/cleaning staff. they were punctual, consistently present, and kept the restrooms spotless throughout the entire event. Taylor and her crew did an exceptional job. As a guest, I felt comfortable, impressed, and able to fully enjoy the celebration. Five stars all the way!

Date night dinner with friends. Everything was incredible!! Our server, Jasmine was such a doll. She made sure to ask if we had any allergies and immediately informed the bartender and chef to make sure everyone was aware. This made us feel so well taken care of. Fig apple martini was delicious and all of the flavors paired well together. My husband ordered The Arsonist, it was served in a beautiful box and smoked when Jasmine opened it for him to take it out. The aroma was phenomenal and lingered for awhile. What an experience!!! Salmon and duck were delicious!!! From the beautiful scenery inside each of the rooms, the decor, music, attentiveness of the staff, delicious food and drinks, literally everything was top notch from the minute we walked in until we walked out. Jasmine gave us a little tour of the building and even took a few photos for us. Definitely will be back.

Loved the experience here. Would have given it 4.5 but there wasn’t any option of doing so. Food was great with nauseating cheese sauce or tomato drenched meal dropped in every food you eat like other places showing an excellent knowledge on the chefs part in ingredients and certainly how to serve an amazing dish. Has that French touch to it which for us was something we had been craving since we moved here from Europe. Service was really good. Posh interior and the fact, that they kept it true to its history as Bank was pretty excellent. The cocktail was spot on and the desert was perfect. For Wilkes- Barre this restaurant is a breath of fresh air.

Good experience overall, would recommend! I like the classy feel of this restraunt. Doesn’t even feel like you’re in Wilke Barre! Feels high end. I got the Mexican breakfast bowl and it was a solid choice. Was worried on how the scrambled eggs would be, but they were perfect for this meal! (Just how I would have hoped for.) Main issue was the WAIT TIME…it took about an hr to get breakfast (table of 4). They didn’t appear super busy either… so kind of an alarming wait time. They did give us “compliments from the chef” (MINI pancake bite) - so between that, cocktails, and company - we were fine. The waiter was helpful with drink recommendations. Their orange juice looked really refreshing as well. Good atmosphere, service & food!

Went to this cool restaurant that was an old bank. It was Valentines Day, so little crowded. Our server Mckenna was very friendly and good. Food was was also good.

I'm rating this in the category of "fine dining" restaurants, since it's expected to have higher quality from the get-go. The food was fresh and prepared with exquisite detail. There were blends of flavor that were unexpected yet meshed well, making my meal explorative and pleasant. Compliments to the chef. They have a good kitchen from my experience. Edit: 3 stars to 4 stars. My original complaints had to do with slow service and poorly placed tables. We came back for brunch and both of these problems were not present. Hope to come back for dinner and experience a good time.

You Need To Know? Restaurant reviews

You Need To Know? Arrived with reservations on NYE & we were seated immediately. The dinner menu was changed up for the holiday & included many surf & turf style items. The venue, an old bank, looked magnificent from within. We'll decorated & classy. Service was very timely as many people were taking care of the table. On this occasion we had the filet mignon which was served with a potato & asparagus. Meat was cooked to perfection however I would think that a higher end establishment would allow for toppings on a baked potato & a choice of vegetable but that was not the case. The potato was dry & we waited for the waitress to return to ask for more butter but by that time the steak was done. We also had the shrimp & linguine which was very tasty. Disappointed in the plate options, but I hear the regular menu is a winner. Now You Know! -TBH

My friends and I went for the "girl dinner." Unfortunately It was a little underwhelming and portions were extremely small. One of my friends ordered a new York strip meal and she really enjoyed it. I would like to go back and try a meal, but was unimpressed with girl dinner 🥺 Drinks, however, we're yummy and made well.

In town for business and came across this place. Ordered the lamb, great presentation, but not alot of flavor. The server, host and manager were very attentive and the atmosphere was okay(too cold). I’d give them another try, just not the lamb dish. Dessert, tiramisu was just okay. Was expecting more flavor… I finished it, but wasn’t really impressed with this selection.

The service was good, the restaurant was very nice, and the food was great. My only issue was the portions were insanely small for the dishes costed.

We went on Xmas Eve and ordered from their special Xmas menu. The atmosphere is lovely and the cocktails (Manhattan and vodka martini) were perfectly made. Great bar and our appetizers -spicy shrimp cocktail and pear burrata were very tasty. Our entrees were disappointing to say the least. Short ribs with papperdella pasta was very under cooked and hard, the sauce was good but not enough meat. I order squash gnocchi that stuck to the roof of my mouth and were not made of squash just some chopped on top and swimming in butter. I would recommend sticking to steak and chicken.

My boyfriend and I have gone here every year for our anniversary and it seems this year may be our last. We were so excited we even drove over 2.5 hours to visit, since we had moved since last year. We had a lot to celebrate including out time spent together, a big move and promotion. In the past the food was mouthwatering and spectacular. Our server, in the past was incredible, attentive and remembered everything. We always received champagne for our special day and usually a course or dessert as well. Not only did none of that happen, but we were also really dissappibtwd by the food. Everything seemed unbalanced and like the timing was off or sitting in the kitchen too long. They did not have peaches for their buratta dish so they just used oranges which were not nearly as good. The mexican street corn was not only brought out late and cold but it was extremely salty. The duck was also like it was pulled out of the dead sea to the point where it was hard to eat. Our server was extremely slow, forgot dishes and had terrible timing when it came to wait times, things coming out together and all the things you expect to see from a nice restaurant. There were only 3 small groups of in the place so it shouldn't have been that bad. Not only did we have issues with these things but to top it all off the cocktails were also subpar at best. The bartender was making drinks for the fall and even the combination sounded terrible. I ordered 3 separate drinks between my partner and (2 of which we've had in the last) and none of them were enjoyable. Overall we were very disappointed for our special day on top of spending too much time and money for this type of visit. They offer a comment/feedback form with the check so I wrote my thoughts amd contact info, however no one got back to me so I had to post here as well.

Was super excited to come here for my mothers birthday. We drove 43 minutes from our airbnb bc this place looked so beautiful and had amazing reviews. We arrived at 7:34, we were sat around 7:38. We were not greeted until 8:05, hello??? We didn’t get drinks until 8:36! Mind you, there we 4 other visible tables, to other servers, 2 eating dessert, 1 with entrees. So not busy. Appetizers around 8:40 maybe. We were supposed to get bread, we had to ask another server for bread bc we had no drinks and no appetizers for 40 minutes at this point. Mom got a drink she took a sip of and didn’t like, asked to have it removed. It was supposed to be a pear drink and it tasted very little of pear. The calamari was bottom of the bag leftovers, will say food is cooked very well and tastes great! But it was clearly the leftovers. Mostly fried veggies. Dinner finally arrives and mom’s salmon is fried to living hell. The shrimp scampi was very tasteful, but my shrimp was clearly overcooked. It’s a super high end place, great ambiance, but the server we paid absolutely no attention to us. We had said it’s my mom’s birthday! Wouldn’t you want to make it extra special, we were gonna tip big! Mom had to go talk to the manager because she was so upset, she didn’t want to embarrass us because she knew we worked hard to find such a nice place for her. The manager was super nice she said, apologized for such a crappy birthday dinner, and settled the bill, which by the way the server left the drink on that my mom had a single sip of. The server failed to tell us originally that the meal my mom wanted the kitchen had run out of. Overall we left really unhappy. Forgot to mention an other table was sat about 2 minutes after we were. They left 25 minutes in to waiting for the server to greet them. We honestly should have followed their lead.

I had a party of 3 for "Girls Dinner" last night. The advertisement skills are great, but the food & drinks were 🗑. Small portions, the pics advertised were not the same size you will be getting for this event, breadsticks were frozen ones just thrown in oven, pasta has no flavor, "truffle fries" were just fries with cheese thrown on & lots of pepper 🤣. Drinks weren't good either. Beautiful place, staff was friendly but if you are looking for good food & drinks this isn't the place.

This was the absolute worst food I have ever eaten. They label this a fine dining experience with farm to table freshness but that was not my experience. First issue, the drink was very odd. And very salty. I chucked it up to having an acquired taste! I figured it was something new and maybe just not for me. Moving along to the brioche bread with summer jam as an appetizer. That was another disappointment! It wasn’t good at all! And lacked flavor! The bread didn’t taste fresh nor did it stand out. It tasted like a regular slice of white bread. The reviews showed the chicken and waffles was a great choice! (Last photo I attached was from a previous review) The photo sold me and was one of the reasons I decided to try this established . I ordered that along with a side of the fried potatoes and avocado toast. When they brought out my plate, I was shocked. My waffle was burnt. Which first caught my eye. I didn’t want to cause any issues so I tried eating it. That’s when I realized that they served me frozen fried chicken. The kind that you get in the frozen aisle at your local supermarket!(photographed below) They neatly displayed said chicken on the burnt waffle! Bad enough the chicken wasn’t fresh, the skin was lukewarm and cold on the inside! I didn’t think you could mess up avocado toast. But they somehow managed to as well. The avocado “toast” wasn’t even toasted for starters. Also, they made a avocado like cream , instead of it sliced or mashed onto the bread. But then they had added sliced radishes all over it. None of this was listed in the description. I will say, the potatoes were delicious! They were unique and not a typical breakfast potato. They had a garlic aioli with sliced jalapeño which was flavorful! Another positive not was the complimentary sausage they served us. They also gave us complimentary deviled eggs. The taste was odd. But I wouldn’t like to stress I didn’t order it. So I wasn’t upset by the odd flavors and texture. From the drinks then onto the starters and entrees, everything got worst! For a table of 6, 5 of us had issues with our meal. To make it worst it was a birthday celebration. All in all, this has the style, decor and service of an upscale establishment but the food is more aligned with Applebee’s. I do not recommend this establishment, specifically for brunch.

Heard good things about this place. Had a date for two on a birthday. Got the steak feature which was supposed to be 32 oz of prime rib. The steak itself was more than half grizzle and fat. The potatoes were undercooked and still chewy. The wedge salads were warm and brown. The meal itself without any other drinks or appetizers was $130. I never leave bad reviews but I feel taken advantage of. The total bill with tip was $250 for two people. Sad and disappointed, won’t be going back.

Beautiful space, but service was a major letdown Bank + Vine has so much potential. It is stunning space with a fun, creative “restaurant in a bank” concept. Unfortunately, the experience ended up being one of the most disappointing dinners we’ve had. We arrived 10 minutes early for our reservation to find only one other table seated, so it was surprising how slow everything was. Our mocktails took a bit to arrive, but the real issue was the food. We waited an entire hour for our meals. We were told four times that the food was coming, only to keep waiting. When we asked to speak to a manager, we learned that our server was the manager. She apologized and said the pork chop takes 30 minutes to cook, admitting she didn’t know that and should have told us when we ordered. That kind of oversight is unacceptable at a place with premium prices. The food (including the pork chop) was just okay, not memorable, and definitely not worth the wait or the cost. We were offered dessert or more drinks (which we declined) and they did comp the pork chop, but honestly, more should have been done to make things right. Gorgeous restaurant, lots of potential, but completely failed on service. We will not be returning.
