The atmosphere and food was amazing. We enjoyed our anniversary there. They even included a small momento on our desserts to acknowledge our anniversary. The drink selection is great.

This is probably the fanciest restaurant in the area which happens to be French. Located in a shopping center you wouldn't think much of it but when you step foot inside it feels like you're transported to another place. Elevavated ambiance makes for a luxurious feel and the food didn't disappoint either. Had the 5 course menu to try a little bit of everything. The crab crepe was something unique and tasty, also the steak, fish and crab cake was wonderful. Desserts were tasty as well. Onion soup was good but not great, maybe that's just my preference. Definitely a restaurant id return to if I'm back in the area.

Absolutely amazing food, experience, and service. I got a simple glass of Pinot Grigio, started with the most amazing soup that is most definitely my favorite soup to date (fennel and potato), lobster and crab cake entree, and finished with a tiramisu. Every single bite was unbelievable.

10/14/25 Had the most delightfully delicious lunch meal ever at Le Yaca. Ming, our server, was just a joy and his recommendations for wine and specialties were perfect.

We had the five-course dinner a while back, and I have to say that Le Yaca is an excellent fine dining option in Williamsburg. The service, food, and decor were all superb. Le Yaca is probably the best place to eat at in Williamsburg and the 757. Despite being a tourist destination in the Hampton Roads with attractions like CW and Busch Gardens, Williamsburg suffers from a serious dearth of decent dining and cafe options. Many food establishments in Williamsburg are run by people who do not know their craft. There are some businesses that go as far as reacting in a hostile manner to deservedly negative reviews instead of using them as feedback to improve. Anyways, Le Yaca is worth splurging on in Williamsburg and is an exception in an otherwise sad food scene.

Had an amazing lunch with out of town friends. Food did not disappoint. Service as well. Was a little warm in the room but all else was great. French Onion Soup, Homard and Scallops all amazing.

I was transported back to France. We knew this would be a wonderful experience when we tasted the baguettes with he crust that as crisp and the soft insides it was the beginning of a culinary adventure. The onion soup is not the traditional style but a puréed version which was very flavourful. We had Beef Wellington with peppercorn which was so tender I could cut it with my fork. It was delicious. Do not skip dessert. I had the Chocolate Fondant with crème.and highly recommend it. My husband had Crème Brûlée and it was equally delicious.

Pricey! But excellent all around. Ming was a wonderful waiter, never rushed us but was there as needed. Everyone's food was done perfectly and tasted awesome. Definitely an occasion kind of place.

After a long day of traveling—seven hours by plane and car—we were excited to wind down with a great meal and try a new spot in town. We were visiting for a trip to Busch Gardens and had read fantastic reviews about this restaurant. The backstory, ambiance, and French cuisine all drew us in. Before making our reservation, we made sure to check for any dress code policies. I wore shorts and a jacket—nothing inappropriate—and my friend was dressed in an Arsenal kit with jeans and a matching hat. We arrived in high spirits and were seated promptly. Unfortunately, shortly after being seated, we overheard a rude and unnecessary comment from a guest across the room regarding my friend’s hat. Out of respect, he removed it without issue. However, moments later, the situation escalated when that same individual used a slur directed at me. My friend immediately got up and calmly spoke to the manager, requesting that we be moved to another table. The staff handled everything with professionalism and compassion. We were promptly relocated across the restaurant and offered complimentary drinks (which we had no expectation of receiving). A manager—who was pregnant, though I didn’t catch her name—personally came to our table, apologized sincerely, and reassured us that the guest responsible for the comment was asked to leave and would no longer be welcome at the establishment. (Blacklisted) What could’ve been a very uncomfortable evening was handled with care, empathy, and incredible professionalism. The food was outstanding—my duck breast was easily a 20/10, exceeding all expectations. I truly want to thank the entire team for turning a negative moment into a reminder of what exceptional service looks like. Whenever I’m in town, I’ll go out of my way to return here, and I’ll be recommending this place to everyone I know. Thank you again for your kindness and your commitment to making your restaurant a welcoming space for all.

If you're planning a date night or special occasion and would like an amazing fine dining candlelit experience, Le Yaca is the perfect atmosphere. In the warmer months, I would consider dining out on their terrace for a romantic setting. The waiters and staff are friendly and provide excellent service, their food presentation is a work of art and everything you eat is guaranteed to be delicious (you have my word!). I had the honor of photographing an intimate wedding cocktail/reception here and got to experience Le Yaca as a vendor and guest. The wedding planner and I ordered different meals so that we could try a little of everything which was the best! I can't wait to bring my husband here soon! Some of my favorites included; Onion soup, house salad, Filet (if you're  a filet connoisseur, you will be in for a real treat!), roasted lamb, scallops. Also make sure you leave room for dessert! Their creme brulee and cheesecake was heavenly!

Hubby and I’ve been here and loved Le Yaca on our last visit in Williamsburg. During this visit we had dinner again one night with our daughter & her bf. We did the 5-course menu and so happy that they are still very good as we remembered! We really enjoyed the ambience and delicious food from 1st course to dessert. Our server was absolutely a delight. For the price and portion size to the attentive services, I highly recommend this restaurant. Give it a try if anyone is in the area.

This is an elegant high end French Restaurant. We recently celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Reservations is the best option. We had a great server named Ming. He was very informative about the meals and their flavors which helped choosing what we wanted. The food was delicious and the presentation was beautiful. We had a great time.

The food was absolutely delicious (i.e., scallops and duck breasts). The house salads were very refreshing and crisp with fresh greens - I was in happy tears when my 6yo daughter ate half the plate. We ordered a steak and chicken pasta for kids: The steak we ordered from the kids menu was surprisingly good, tender and flavorful; but the chicken was too dry while the pasta was still good. Overall, both the service and foods exceeded our expectations - we were very satisfied with the overall experience we had.

The food was so amazing! Great service and we sat near the beautiful Christmas tree over the holidays 🤤 We very much enjoyed the set menu, with five different options you could choose from. I got the seared scallops, the French onion soup, the beef and lobster, the poached, peaches, and the pallet cleanser, of course! Highly recommend this restaurant :)

Nestled in the colonial heart of Williamsburg, Le Yuca is a transcendent culinary jewel that effortlessly marries French gastronomic precision with the warm embrace of Southern hospitality. From the moment one crosses its elegant threshold, it becomes clear: this is no ordinary dining experience—it is theatre, poetry, and fine art, plated. The food? A sonnet. Each course arrives like a brushstroke on canvas, a visual feast worthy of a Michelin star’s approving nod. My entrée—an ethereal duck à l’orange—boasted a crisped skin as delicate as autumn leaves, cloaked in a citrus reduction so harmonious, it might well have been composed by Debussy. The amuse-bouche, a miniature marvel of chèvre mousse on brioche, nearly brought tears to the table. Even the breadbasket felt like a curated affair: the sourdough had soul. Presentation is not merely considered here; it is revered. Dishes arrive with the elegance of a Parisian runway—plated with such geometric grace and color that one hesitates to disrupt the masterpiece with a fork. And yet, how rewarding the indulgence when you do. As for the service—ah, the service! Attentive without intrusion, knowing without arrogance. Our server, as deft as any maître d’hôtel in Saint-Germain, anticipated needs before they were spoken, and navigated every question with a connoisseur’s grace and a confidante’s warmth. Empathy, it seems, is their secret ingredient. Le Yuca is more than a restaurant—it is a whispered reminder of why we gather at tables: to taste, to savor, to be moved. For those who believe dining should transcend sustenance, this is your pilgrimage.

My wife and I came into the restaurant today to take advantage of an amazing restaurant week deal. We were blown away by the food! Delicious is an understatement. Our server Ahmet was great. Howard and the rest of the staff were phenomenal and very friendly. The atmosphere was warm and inviting. We look forward to future visits to experience more of their amazing menu.

Beautiful brunch on Sunday. We had not visited La Yaca in many years, but found ourselves in Williamsburg at the perfect time for their Sunday brunch menu. It is not only delicious but a bargain! Each course was amazing, the brunch cocktails were perfect, and dessert was impeccable. I had the gazpacho, halibut, and Creme Brûlée. My husband went with a crab and beef benedict. Service was attentive and friendly but not intrusive.

French onion soup is very flavorful without the gooey cheese common in most standard French Onion soup. Beef Wellington was tender with crisp pastry sauced with peppercorn sauce. Delicious. Seafood Coquille was loaded with seafood in a veloutte sauce gratined. Lemon mousse with almond crust and raspberry coulis was light fresh and a great finish to a delicious meal.

The restaurant was cozy with romantic and elegant looking/setting. This was our first time there (my wife & I). We were amazed and blown away by the quality of the food. It was high-end dining but in my opinion, worth the $. Each dish was unique, exquisite and delicious in its own way. Our waitress, Teona, was very friendly and helpful. We were grateful and extremely satisfied with her recommendation in selecting the dishes for my 5-course and my wife’s 4-course meals. We don’t drink but noticed that there is quite a good wine selection menu. It was a wonderful dinner and quite an experience for us with lasting impression. We will definitely come back when visiting Williamsburg again. And hopefully with our kids this time. Thank you again Teona!

Overall we had an amazing time here. We both got the three course meals where I go the beef and lobster and she got the beef and shrimp. It was all cooked to perfection. The sauce was delicious, the shrimp and lobster were cooked to perfection also. The grape salad was so delicious with the dressing surprisingly matching well. The corn chowder soup was also super amazing and just creamy and rich and so good! Finally the deserts were amazing. I got the cheesecake and she got the tiramisu which were both superb. We also didn’t know what wine to get and our server Rinka gave amazing recommendations and was so kind and courteous the whole time. Overall a great experience and for the price I can’t complain for a place as good as this!

Perfection!! Visited with my fiance for my birthday dinner on a Thursday evening. We were very lucky to get a last-minute reservation as they were booked. The ambiance is warm & inviting in an upscale atmosphere. The service was impeccable, friendly & attentive. We ordered off the prix fixed menu with the salad, French onion soup (best I have ever had!), Salmon, & 2 different chocolate desserts. Everything was presented so beautifully & tasted amazing!! Highly recommend when in the Williamsburg area, you won't be disappointed!! Just say oui!

Excellent experience! Pros - staff was professional, friendly, and attentive. We had brunch and my wife and I both really enjoyed our food. One of the best brunch meals that I have had. The food - I had soup of the day which was a fennel soup. It was my favorite thing I had all weekend during our visit. The scallops and crab Benedict were well prepared and I left feeling full and it was great to start our Saturday our with such a great experience.

Absolutely wonderful experience here! I kept hearing such great things and I’m so glad I finally came to try for myself! We made reservations and there was no wait at all. The food, drinks, service, atmosphere, and location are all incredible! We came here for the three course lunch special, I had the salmon and my husband had the pork, both are delicious! The desserts are so yummy and hard to choose from! We already can’t wait to come back again!

Nice restaurant with the interior tastefully decorated. There is both indoor and outdoor dining. The staff is friendly and courteous. The food was great, especially liked the lobster and lump crab. The salad was different in the the dressing was somewhat sweet and there were grapes instead of tomatoes. The desserts were good as well with the crème brûlée being fantastic. If you are in the area, definitely find the time to eat there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Le Yaca truly stands out as a gem in Williamsburg. From the moment we walked in, we were enveloped by an atmosphere of elegance and warmth. We started with their scallops, which were perfectly seared, delivering a delightful balance of crisp exterior and tender, buttery interior. The flavors were exquisite, enhanced by a subtle, complementary sauce. The Beef Wellington was a highlight; the pastry was flaky and golden, encasing the most succulent, perfectly cooked beef. The duxelles and pâté added layers of flavor that were simply divine. Next, we enjoyed the beef tenderloin paired with a lobster tail. The beef was cooked to a precise medium-rare, tender and rich, while the lobster was fresh, sweet, and cooked to perfection. The combination was luxurious and indulgent, a true testament to the chef's skill. Our meal was rounded out with a crab cake appetizer that was outstanding. It was packed with sweet, fresh crab meat, lightly seasoned to let the quality of the seafood shine. The accompanying remoulade was the perfect touch. Service at Le Yaca was impeccable, with staff who were both knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. The wine selection complemented our meal beautifully, and the ambiance made for a memorable dining experience. If you're in Williamsburg and looking for an unforgettable dining experience, Le Yaca is not to be missed. Five stars all around for an evening of culinary excellence.

Highly recommended! We had the best experience and it was our first time, a great place for a very romantic dinner! We had the 5 course meal and there was nothing we didn’t like, the food was delicious, the wine pairing is worth it. The desserts… to die for!! Give yourself at least 3 hours to enjoy the 5 course, it was spaced out nicely, we didn’t feel rushed eating. Great customer service as well, it it absolutely worth it! 10/10! Cannot wait to go back again! It is best if you make reservations, there’s a 6 month wait right now.

What a beautiful experience! Everything was so wonderfully crafted, that French onion soup I could eat everyday. The beef tenderloin was so tender and perfectly cooked. Escargot we tried for the first time and they were delicious. Crab cake was all crab but that saffron risotto! Wow. The chocolate cake was so decadent and perfect end to the meal. Loved the course style menu option. This is definitely something I’m always going to remember and I will be back when I’m back in the area!

Best place to have your anniversary dinner, hands down! We were greeted with "Happy Anniversary" by the front hosts and any server that came by our table! Our server was very polite, friendly, and genuine. Food items are in French, but they list the items it comes with in English 🤗 reservations are strongly suggested! It's a small place and the waiter told us that an average table (2-4 people) stays for 2 hours or so.

Reservations highly recommended! We went for brunch and we weren't disappointed. The meal to cost ratio was fantastic. We started with a drink (choice of mimosa, bloody Mary, a Kir Royal, or non-alcoholic juice) followed by a soup or salad. The entree choices ranged from Wellington and beef tenderloin benedicts to lobster tail, crab, and pork options. Then a choice of dessert from options like creme brulee, tiramisu, grand mariner souffle, and others. Overall, we were stuffed and it only cost us $45 for the brunch. Plus the complimentary baguette and chocolate croissant at the start was amazing as always. Service was spot on and I don't think you'll be disappointed with your dining experience here. Brunch seems to be the bang for your buck.

We have been here several times, it’s my and my husband’s favorite spot that’s close to home. Tonight was exceptionally great! Our server was Yudi, and he was fantastic! He had great recommendations, he was very knowledgeable and professional but still made us feel “at home”. His attentiveness and timing were the best!! The next time we come we are asking for Yudi, and I will recommend the same to all of my friends!! Thank you for a beautiful experience!

My husband and I decided to celebrate our fourth anniversary here at Le Yaca, it was our first time visiting the restaurant but I was blown away on how wonderful everything was. We reserved a table at 11 on Saturday just as they were opening and had almost the entire restaurant to ourselves for awhile. The room was small which makes it feel more private and we were immediately greeted by our waiter. We got an all inclusive three course meal that included an alcoholic drink, an appetizer, an entree, and a dessert. My husband and I both ordered a pear mimosa which was quite tasty. I ordered the onion soup which was very delicious and creamy and my husband ordered the soup of the day which was potato and lentil (very creamy as well). For the entree we both ordered the Beef Wellington which is why I wanted to visit this restaurant and I was not disappointed! The crust was buttery and the beef was delicious and steak like. I would 100% come back for the Beef Wellington. We had an espresso and cappuccino while we waited for our creme brulee which was creamy and rich. Our server was attentive the entire time and the overall experience was amazing and memorable!

While visiting Williamsburg we noticed that Le Yaca had a Christmas eve menu. This is our first visit to a Williamsburg so we gave it a try. We were pleasantly surprised. The food selection was amazing and the wine selection was wonderful. The beef filet was fork tender, cooked as requested and delicious. This was a 5 course meal and each course was beautifully presented and delicious. The onion soup was amazing. I will recommend this restaurant to anyone going to or living in the area. Unfortunately, we live in Florida, but anytime we are in that area, we will return.

Absolutely perfect. Service was on point, impeccable. From the moment I walked in out of the cold, with a real fire burning in a huge fireplace; to seating arrangements that were comfortable and cozy; to food that was divine and artfully prepared -- this place was above and beyond. I never give five stars, especially all the way across. But this place earned it.

Very nice menu with many choices. You’re looking at nearly two Ben Franklins per couple. Well worth it. We will be going again. Business casual dress seems appropriate. Reservations are easy to make online.

The food was amazing. The atmosphere was really good. I was a bit disappointed that it took almost 10 minutes after we were sitting for the waiter to come around. I was already thinking of leaving. Then we ordered a couple of drinks which also took a long time to arrive. The taste of the drinks and the food made it for the wait, but at times it felt like we were unattended. Overall good, but I had greater expectations.

We enjoyed a nice dinner for two at this restaurant. There was apparently confusion on who our server was as it took a while to even have someone bring us water. Several staff from other tables who had seen us sitting there for a while with no water, had stopped and asked if we had been waited on yet & when we replied no, they said they would check on it for us. Once we finally did get our server, he was very kind & attentive and the service was great.

Parking can be a problem. I found their brunch prices very high. Food was good but the price really put me off. The service was slow. The acoustics were on the loud side making conversation a little difficult.

I’ve went back and forth on whether to leave 4 stars or 5 stars. I’m settling on 4 stars because our visit got off on the wrong foot right away. Made a reservation earlier in the week for 12:30pm to celebrate my wedding anniversary. We arrived approximately 5 minutes early and checked in. Right behind us a group of two checked in and a group of 5 who couldn’t find their reservation. Both groups were taken to their table before us & despite having a 12:30 reservation. We weren’t sat until 12:45. Not sure what the issue was or why those parties were sat before us. But what is the point of a reservation if I’m still going to wait 15 minutes? On top of that both ladies checking in and seating parties didn’t seem to enjoy their job. This was further solidified when my wife asked where the bathroom was and was given a short answer. Too me part of booking at fine dining restaurant like this is unparalleled customer service from start to finish….. That wasn’t the case yesterday. I will say the meal was fantastic. Minus a couple of hiccups of it taking over 15 minutes to get bread. We were told the runner brought bread to the wrong table, which seemed to be the case because the table next to use who came in 10 min after us got bread right away. Our waiter, Ming noticed this and brought us bread immediately. The runner also mixed up which soup my wife and I had. All in all, if the service was better, it was a 5 star experience. But yesterday it wasn’t and the start of the experience left such a bad taste in my mouth that I’m not sure if I’ll be back despite how good the meal was from first course through dessert.

C
CARTER

Just okay. Considering the reviews and the price, I was really shocked at just how average the food is here. All the dishes had a similar taste - like they have a house sauce that they use liberally throughout the menu. Not much variety, no innovation and certainly not elevated. While the staff was nice, the service still lacked a bit - think missing cutlery & napkins and cloudy stemware. Overall a decent but rather boring relatively expensive meal. I would spend the money elsewhere to have a more memorable experience.

We were seated immediately upon arrival with our reservations. The host that seated us could have attire that was a bit more appropriate. We were seated and upon reviewing the wine menu to order, I was told that the selection I made was not available. Then I selected my meal choice. My celery root soup was delivered with "sour cream". French soup, my experience, is always served with creme fraiche, not sour cream. I will say that the main course was enjoyed by both myself and my husband. The waiter took his time coming to our table. We had to ask another host for additional items needed. Dessert was disappointing. French- American cuisine should said.

T
Tavish Magnus

The service was outstanding and the interior was very well thought out, pleasant and welcoming. The dinner itself was underwhelming at times. The onion soup and mushroom soup were both excellent, the bread was crisp and warm and the desserts were delicious and had a beautiful presentation. The butter for the bread was cold and hard, seemingly straight from the icebox, my filet and lobster were both cooked perfectly but the filet had a noticeable lack of flavor and the most disappointing thing was the sauces. The cognac peppercorn demiglace had a lack of depth and was not very savory (a pan cooked au poivre would have been preferable) and the beurre blanc on the lobster was also uninspiring and neither mixed well with the other. As I said, they were cooked beautifully but as with most french cuisine it is all about the sauces and unfortunately I was left underwhelmed by the experience.

Edit: a woman named AMANDA SWAN FULTON attacked me via Facebook after posting this review. No clue how this place has the high ratings. Maybe because it's in a food desert. First, for a restaurant this expensive someone should have come to quality check ONCE in the 3+ hrs we were here. Not once did our waiter come. It took about 45 minutes for them to take our order. We were sat at 5:30 and no one was here and yet it took almost an hr for our server to take our drink order. I ordered the filet rare. It came medium. I usually wouldn't send something back but when it comes 2 temperatures more done than I order I feel I got a totally different meal. I also ordered a glass of red wine which took 45 minutes AFTER my steak was dropped, to arrive despite me ordering it with my entre. I sent it back and got a rare steak but the potatoes were charred and I'm not usually a fan of the burnt flavor. They serve soufflé and I tend to be picky about souffle as I've never had it outside of France. I asked our server how good it was, and he assured me it was excellent. It was burnt on top, cooked full and not fluffy or light as it should be. I re-ordered the lemon cheesecake and it was quite good. They claim the chefs are French. I've been all over the country and have yet to encounter such poultry food or absent service. It's good they add the 20% automatically bc the service isn't attentive enough to warrant much of anything. No quality check, got our orders wrong and what's more, added 2 extra glasses of wine to our order. Would NOT recommend
