Today was my first time trying this place and I haven’t been this satisfied with a meal in a long time! The pho was delicious! Just got enough to cook the rare beef but not so hot you couldn’t eat it right away. The service was amazing! Super quick and friendly 🥰 I will definitely be returning.
Very nice place. Calm quiet atmosphere. There actually wasnt anyone else in the building, we came at around 5pm. The food is a fair price and very good. Our server was chill. The food all seems very fresh and of good quality.
I've been eating here for nearly 20 years. I love this place. The food is amazing. Seriously amazing.
I bit into a small piece of glass. It was either in my pad Thai or bahn mi. I won't go back unfortunately. Did let staff know as I ate in doors.
Freshest food you'll eat. Combination vermicelli noodle is great. Usually eat here whenever I'm in the area. Have never had a bad experience
This place was wonderful. The older man who was attending us, was very kind and patient. I ordered the spring roll and it looks exactly like the one outside the restaurant on the window. The soup was perfect for a 30 degree weather. Will be coming back again soon
Great quiet atmosphere. Service was very polite and fast. Gave some recommendations. Ended up getting the No.31. Combination pork and shrimp with fried spring roll. Best Vietnamese food I've had. Flavor was overall fantastic. Big ups to the cook. The restaurant itself may look basic, but don't let it fool you. It's a great place for a quiet dinner night with the wife. A must try if you're into trying different Asian cuisines. Sorry no photos. Was too hungry to wait.
The Pho was good and service as well. Forgot to take photos next time l’ll update
The chicken pho is amazing! I was a little hesitant to order take out since it was my first time and it very much surprised me. I’ve tried so many different places and this place had such fresh broth. My husband tried the spring rolls and I tried the summer rolls. Everything was so fresh. Definitely coming back again!
This place always has customers, rush time is 12:00-1:00, pho is the best I always get the rare stake pho. Server is sweet and fast. He is allways taking good care of you. Makes you feel at home. And you don’t feel in a rush to eat. I’ve dined in and taken out either way it’s great.
One of my favorite places for pho. Staff is super polite and friendly. I've been eating here for years and have never received bad service. Most of the lunch and dinner plates are excellent. Usually not crowded (lunch is the only time I've seen it crowded before). Only personal compliant that comes to mind is their tea tastes funny to me usually. I just get a soda instead so it's not a big deal to me.
I've been here 3 times in one week! The sandwiches are great. And the lunch specials are very affordable. We had the combo sandwich, roast pork sandwich, combo pho, sesame chicken, and seafood egg noodle soup. Everything was delicious. We keep forgetting to take pictures, but will next time.
Where do i begin. This place is awesome just a random stop drop in, has now turned into a repeat destination. The food is delicious just some of the best food I’ve ever eaten. Perfect balance of flavor and taste in every bite. Every single dish had its unique qualities. You can tell the hard work put into making this the quality and time. They definitely honed the skills to making the best. The Staff was very courteous and welcoming and helpful. Time from order to table was reasonable portions are perfect. The interior of the building was comfortable and relaxing and clean. Felt like setting at the kitchen table at home. All in all a great dining experience. It has its regular customers come in and out. And has gained a new regular customer as well. If you don’t believe go try for yourself and prove me wrong.
For me when I eat at a restaurant the service and the people who run it is key for me. If the food is really good but the service sucks, the staff is rude, then food seems to taste not as good. But if the people are kind and friendly, the staff is accommodating, the owner are caring, it can make the food taste extraordinary. The owners of this restaurant is a very kind couple. Honest folks who want to share good Vietnamese tastes with the community. They take pride in their cooking and treat their restaurant like their second home. Five Stars all around. Thank you!✨️✨️✨️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
So glad that I found this hidden gem!! It so close to my work and ive been there to eat twice this week!!
Amazing mom and pops establishment. We talked to the owner and they have the soup going for 16 hours! You can tell when drinking the pho broth. I got chicken pho and it was so good. I really tasted the ginger and it just warmed my belly and my soul! I also got a banh mi and that was so tasty- best bread I’ve ever had! The owner said they make the bread in house! And they buy good quality flour that goes for 20$ a bag. Best French baguette bread I’ve ever had. I’m so glad to have found this gem! I wish them the best success and luck and hope they continue to serve quality food for many years to come. Thank you for the amazing service!
Great price and delicious banh mi sandwiches
This place is a little out of the way from the main road, but well worth a visit. Looks like it's been around a while, but the place is roomy and clean. Tried the pork banh mi and pork and shrimp spring rolls. Both fantastic. The pork in the sandwich had the best grilled flavor of any banh mi I've had in the city so far. The spring rolls were cold and perfect for the scorcher of a day it was. Try this place.
This place is a little hidden and kinda beaten but it shouldn't disappoint. Prices are good and pho isn't bad. The broth does seem to lack something in flavor to me but other then that, it's pretty good. They also have Banh Mi (Vietnamese Sandwich)and theirs is pretty good too. The baguettes are made in-house and everything about it is delicious. I recommend the thit nuong (grilled pork) sandwich. I did overhear that it can be a little greasy at times but just let them know beforehand and I think you should be fine. Owners seem nice and the place does have a hole-in-the-wall feeling. The only complaints that I saw were the table condiments could use a little sprucing up, a little worn out setting, not sure about the restrooms, but other then that, I recommend stopping by for lunch or even dinner. Also I would like to mention (from observation and overhearing)that it's run by a few people, older folks mind you, so have a little patience. I did get my meal in a timely manner but people can be impatient. They only have young bucks working every once in a while, if that. If you're in a rush or have little time, try this place at a more convenient time.

I always order the Lemonchicken grass with spring rolls and let me tell you it's so delicious. The owner already knows my order too cute. Its a must try.
Very good food! Looks empty but the gentleman waiter is very nice and he let me order off the menu !
I went for lunch with my daughter this past Saturday, and the host and hostess were very kind and attentive. We ordered Pho with everything and Vermicelli combos. Everything was absolutely delicious with fresh ingredients. The dining room is spacious and attractive. We really enjoyed our visit.

I've been eating here for nearly 20 years. I love this place. The food is amazing. Seriously amazing.
I've been here multiple times and have ordered different plates, from sandwiches, fried pork rolls, fried rice, vermicelli, and pad Thai, all have been overall decent flavored, but well done. They are quick, usually orders to go take no more than 15mins. Good Pho in here with fresh veggies. Friendly staff, place is clean and spacious. Not many Vietnamese restaurants that I know, but I have to say I definitely like this place and would recommend as it is not expensive for lunches and they serve you fast.
I had never tried this place, though I lived for 5 years in the area. When a friend and I couldn’t get a table at another place, we decided to go here. When we first pulled up, I thought it was closed, as it was dark inside, but everything indicated it was open. There were two people in the place being served. So, we went in. We both got the Vermicelli. They were out of the meat balls, so I had the lemon chicken instead. We also both got Spring Rolls, which weren’t bad, but not stellar. The gentleman was attentive, but not constantly back asking if we needed anything more, which is nice. The food was not bad overall. The cost for two was reasonable, especially in this economy. I plan to go back. I hope more people are there next time. I would definitely recommend it. My only real recommendation to the owner is turn all the lights on so you look open.
Enjoyed their bahn mi pork sandwiches. The french bread was warm and easy to bite into. The pork had great flavor. The restaurant was big with lots of tables available. Service was good, and our food was brought out quickly.
Very delicious food, nice and hot. Atmosphere is lacking but it's a good hole-in-the-wall spot for real Vietnamese food.
Interesting place. I went there with a friend on Friday night, and we were the only two people in there from 7 to 8 PM. I got the pho, and my friend got the pad Thai, we both had a good meal. Definitely no complaints about the food! The waiter – who I assume was the owner – was very gracious, and got us everything we asked for, but then, we were the only two people in the restaurant! I would go back.
One of the better pho spots I’ve been to here in San Antonio. Walked in initially and wasn’t sure I was in the right place due to some construction going on inside. Not many cultural decorations either to make it known that it is a viet restaurant. Nonetheless, service was quick. Think it’s just a mom and pop shop. Pho broth was really good. I do think options for chopsticks/forks at the table would be beneficial as well as a napkins dispenser. I was given a fork, which was my first time ever using to eat pho. Just went with it cause I assumed place was on a budget.
Leaving the supermarket across the street we were hungry and have always wanted to try this place out. Walking up the parking lot was empty, when we walked in we were the only patrons inside! We were greeted right away and sat right away. Few moments later our drink and food orders were taken. Drinks were brought out right away Ice tea and a lemonade which were both good. We received our food shortly after the pho looked great, the fixings were looking a little old and wilted but we kept them. After my wife fixed up her bowl she said it was still just missing something. I ordered the sauteed chicken and vegetables with Pan fried noodles! With a little soy and siracha they were great! Noodles perfectly cooked, tender chicken and al dente veggies! The place is huge, and like I said we were the only patrons... It was clean and quiet and showing signs of age but a nice place to eat. We visit the supermarket monthly so we'll definitely be back.
Nice place to go. I'm not sure if I missed the lunch rush since there were only three other people there eating. It is a little dated inside. But the food and service were good. Way in the back of the business complex.
Ate pho for lunch with summer rolls. Wait staff was good. Food took a little longer than expected for what we ordered, but there wasn't a major delay. Pho broth was a little bland but did the job. The restaurant is clean and looks to be maintained well.
Great prices & always tasty. We usually do take out. When we have eaten there, we've notice that a good amount of their customers do the same. Quality is consistently good, whether it's pho or a Chinese dish.

Not impressed at all. The place could use a real good cleaning and updating. Removal of the trashy looking decor may improve the first impressions. The food was nothing to brag about. We made the mistake of ordering a lunch special and not a "Pho" entree and you could tell it was certainly a "special". I thought from being there for many years it would be good but we won't go back.
They have tiny portions for the fried rice, the plate was barely bigger than my hand. And it was dead here, we were the only customers while here. The waiter didn't refill our drink (water) until we were about to leave. But it was good. Food tasted fine, just tiny portions.
1st time here, saw this place & see how it is. Food we got Pho (bowl 1: chicken, bowl 2 was steak & brisket). was good, missing mint to add alittle more tatse but in all was good. We had chicken spring rolls was was good as well. We came around 3 pm and it was dead, on us two then anout 45 min another couple came in. Very praceful just an enjoyable atmosphere. Would we come here again, we would if we didnt feel like drive out further (which we have two favorite places, jist didnt feel like driving nor hit traffic).

My husband and I were in the area and we're hungry, not many Asian food on walzem so we ended up here. The reviews looked good so we said why not. When we got to the place we were skeptical if the place is open or not. We went in to this shopping center in the back road of walzem and the place is open just looks vacant. A man tall with slight gray hair said"how many" we said two. My husband went to the restroom and the man came over already asking us to order. I ordered our drinks and told him we are still looking at the outdated menu(falling apart). Finally we ordered after the man saying "what do you want". Don't expect customer service here. Or table service asking how was your meal. We ordered the combo pad Thai. It was alright, looks small but filling. I won't return just cause it was a one time thing. But food was ok.
$12 for a plain chicken pho they need to lower their prices too expensive just for that
Pho broth is water downed no hint of tallow in extraction had to douse it in siracha. Noodles were not blanched they clumped it like most pho spots. Meat overcooked. 10 minute wait for pho. Would not recommend

This was my favorite place, but unfortunately I cannot come back here. My boyfriend and I got pad Thai and a pork bahn mi and we split the food. In the middle of my boyfriend chewing his food he took out glass from his mouth that came from the food. Somehow there was a piece of glass in the food. I brought it up to the worker or owner and we did not get a discount or anything... Just an apology. We couldn't eat the rest of the food on the plate. Unfortunately we paid and left. Super disappointed.
I went here on saturday at 11. Got some chicken fried rice and beef fried rice. Food looked like it was made at a high school cafeteria. I payed 27$. Tasted the same way. I would check out Pho Ba 9 near by. Way better and larger portions.
Food was actually great… spring rolls on point and so was the pho. The catch is that the gentleman ringing up your card will casually add to your bill and round up to the nearest $10. Not good, ruined all trust. He started making up prices when asked why, which were different from the menu - and the math still didn’t add up. The food is good, not super - definitely not with the risk with handing your card to these guys. Find your pho elsewhere and avoid the scamming.
Service isn’t the best. We’ve visited more than once. Our first time was great. They even brought out scissors for my child. Our recent visit was horrible. Wife found an unknown bug in her pho. They didn’t bring scissors. I never get a check. Just told a price once I go to the register. We’ll never return to this location and we’ll gladly drive an hour for Pho Saigon in Culebra
Food portions are small and non appetizing. Service rude. Atmosphere non existing. The restroom looked like a horror film, my sons words. The lettuce was browning. The pho broth was cold. The rice looked old and tasted weird. We eat these dishes often in the many locations in the area. This was the first location where it was not pleasant. With so many options within the area, i can't recommend this place.
I ordered a Pad Thai and there was a dead cockroach in it. Didnt eat it and I still ended up paying for it they didn’t even offer to replace it or atleast gave me a discount.
I found bugs in my cup of ice & in my pho 🤢 Small bugs 🤮 I would hate to see the food in the kitchen. Never going back i was so grossed out!!!! 1 star so I can write a review 0 stars for food if you like eating bugs go here 🪳🪰 0 stars for Service. Guy takes your order & gives you your food. After that you have to call him over for anything you need. Don't ask for to much or he starts getting mad. You dont get a check to see your total. He just says the total out loud & waits for form of payment. 0 Atmosphere TV is on but feels like a library. Where you have to be quiet & the guy is just staring at you. Waiting for you to be done.
