Great pleace for diner and simple coffee next to the river as well. Nice view and good location. Waitress was very friendly and profesional. I ordered meat which was delicious, well cooked that you didnt need even knife, melted in mouth - love it. Tasty drinks.

We visited the Windsor restaurant for our wedding anniversary today. We were pleased to be welcomed by friendly staff and taken to our table by the window with a great view of the Thames, situated in the main restaurant by the window, as requested. We were pleased to receive 2 complementary glasses of cremant and ordered our food. We enjoyed sharing the potted crab and our delicious mains of beef bourginon with mash and steak and chips. We finished the meal with the tasty pistachio creme brulee. A lovely dining experience to celebrate our anniversary before our walk and shop in Eton and Windsor. Thanks for the fab service.

We recently stayed in Windsor celebrating our wedding anniversary, we decided to come to your restaurant and am so glad we did. The meal was impeccable... such a beautiful restaurant, fabulous views and a menu so difficult to choose from because I liked everything!! We will definitely be returning one day!! Thank you so much for making our special day so wonderful!

This place never disappoints! Food is amazing 🤩🤤 We've been here few times and every time the food was delicious, the view is superbe by the river, there's terrace, or inside table but open doors too, and little balcony tables too, I think is very romantic, or good for relaxing and enjoying good weather by the river with the beautiful swans and boats. Amazing service thank you so much for making our day special!

Côte Windsor is a charming spot by the river with friendly staff and a menu full of fresh, delicious dishes. This was my second visit, two years apart, and I’m happy to say the quality of the food is just as excellent as before. It’s a great choice for a romantic dinner date or a lively meal with a large group—service is efficient and fast. The only downside was the hot weather outside and the lack of air conditioning inside, which made it a bit warm, but the food and atmosphere still made it a memorable experience.

Great attentive service at this cute restaurant with views of the castle. The fish stew was good. The rum balls for dessert were delicious. The white wine was great for a summer’s night.

Fabulous prix fixe lunch menu at a table overlooking the river. Superb quality food, good prices, professional service

Very busy and popular restaurant. Good selection including GlutenFree. Staff very attentive, friendly and delicious food.

Booked for 3 originally for outside but as it was a little inclement asked if we could sit by a window and probably had the best view in the restaurant where the door was open facing the castle and the sun came out! Great food, service and a lovely atmosphere. Have been to different Cotes which are all great but always come back here for the views and atmosphere!

Service was quick and food was cooked to perfection. Great value for money

The staff are great, friendly and very accommodating. We booked a table outside along the river as it has great views and thought it would be nice but it got a bit breezy so asked if we could sit inside which wasn't a problem. The food was really tasty and came in good time in-between courses. The restaurant itself is very clean and friendly and I'd definitely go back and recommend.

As a long time customer at this branch, and having read several negative reviews recently , I decided to check for myself, and went for Sunday breakfast recently with friends from Devon. Arriving before 10am, the place was quiet, but we were served promptly and the menu was well explained by the waiter, food came within 5 minutes, and was well up to the usual tasty standard, served simply (its a brasserie; good food served simply in a relaxed atmosphere). By the time we left there were 50+ customers enjoying breakfast on a cold January morning. I had a quick word with the Manager who was in that day, he was suitably phlegmatic about the negativity received. To me, after 10+ years, Cotes Eton is still a place to look forward to, and leave with a smile on your face and not excessive damage to the wallet. Well done and thank you to Mark and team Surely the point

We went to Côte for the last day of the winter menu as I hadn’t got around to eating the Tartiflette this year. It didn’t disappoint as usual. Everyone enjoyed their meals and ate every bit. The wine and fizz are always excellent. The chocolate mousse for 2 was out of this world!

Several years since we've been to the Cote Windsor. Firt table (for 4, we were 2) was right beside coffee machine and where servers took clear-ups. We asked for an alternative and were shown to a nice table by the window overlooking The Thames. Greeter apologised about it being smaller. But it was plenty big enough for the two of us. We selected the set Menu. Starters (Crab for my wife and Beetroot for me) were excellent, Mains of Steak Frites for her and Sea Bream for me were also very good. We didn't have dessert but each had a coffee. For the quality of food, service and the view, Cote is great value for money.

Loved this place! Super warm and welcoming, with amazing views over the river and Eton College. The food was fantastic — every dish was spot on — and the service was friendly and really attentive. Such a great vibe overall. Can’t wait to go back! Definitely my point place for a business lunch.

Stopped here for early dinner and tried their set menu. Service from reception and at the table was welcoming and efficient. The quality of the food and value for money was very good and look forward to returning again in the future.

I just wanted to say a really big thank you.. we had a large 60th birthday party on Friday evening. We are a rowdy bunch! We had a lovely spot downstairs over looking the river, wry pretty. Mo was our waiter, he was exceptionally good. He was calm, polite and helpful. He made it look effortless which I’m absolutely sure it wasn’t .. so a big thank you him. My only criticism.. was the seafood linguine, wasn’t linguine, it was more like a noodle quick cook spaghetti.. Otherwise fabulous thank you

Cannot thank them enough. Booked for 12 and didn’t require us to pay deposit or pre-book. Staff were really accommodating and helpful. We had a lovely meal Christmas menu was good value. We weren’t rushed from our table. Definitely recommend.

A family Sunday Brunch before the pantomime. 6 adults and 4 children, made to feel very welcome and served quickly and efficiently in a relaxed atmosphere. For special mention the manager (sorry I didn't get a name) dealt flawlessly with the severe allergy concerns of one child - when questioned whether the "seeded" bread was sesame (allergen), he immediately suggested that all of our meals would be cooked separately and that all would have brioche substituted for the bread, just in case. Excellent service and thoroughly recommended.

Lovely anniversary lunch here - really lovely welcome, good service, (lovely server) - set menu was excellent value and really very good food. They even gave us a couple of glasses of champagne on the house. Atmosphere was lively but not rowdy - and staff were very friendly. Would definitely return there.

Wonderful evening… the manager was so attentive, the complimentary Prosecco hit the spot. The attention to detail was perfect. Food was absolutely amazing. Service outstanding. Highly recommend Windsor CÔTE … can’t wait to go again

Delicious food & great service. Really lovely pre theatre meal with a window seat right by the river. Will definitely be back. There were 8 of us & we had a selection of starters from the set menu - all were good. The steak frites main was particularly nice.

Thought our waiter and serving lady excellent. Food good value and tasty on set menu, especially loved the offer price! Fab viewvofvriver and castle from ourctable. Only other comment would be add more crackers with the cheese please.

Went here for my mothers's 80th for a party of 10 and my goodness, we are so glad we did. Not just the location and the food but the service was second to none. Having worked in the high end customer service industry for 35 years, my experience helps me assess visits and here has to have been one of the best I have received in many, many years. Mo (Mostafa) the server and Adel, the manager excelled beyond what can be expected, working a busy shift and to say they may the visit, is an understatement......truly grateful to both of them.

Congratulations to all the Cote Staff at Eton/Windsor excellent food, fabulous happy service and lovely to see the side of the restaurant we were sat in full on a Monday lunch time. Booked to celebrate my friend's birthday today and could not fault the service and food. Thank you for making her day with all your surprise elements, we will be back, excellent value

This is a really cosy place next to the river to have a nice simple meal before heading to the long walk 😄 the food tasted really nice, especially the steak, very good !😊💯 The service was no good at all there (I don’t know why, probably because it was too busy or short of staff?) 🤦‍♂️☹️ - long waiting time for taking our order, no staff around for me to ask for an extra knife, bill, card payment… I’m not really happy with me paying 10% service charge for such a restaurant.

Being right next to the Thames is superb but the amount of wasps that came in through the open windows was unsettling. This did ruin the atmosphere, the view was amazing, the service was good. The food was hot and miss. My starter was amazing but had a bone in and when I pointed this out nothing was said, the main course we didn’t realise you had to order veg separately so it was literally just a main and my family had the chicken and found it a little dry. The desserts were fantastic. I would return but maybe in the winter without the wasps.

This was a return visit after at least na year. This time everything was better: friendly and efficient service, excellent food especially the special offer pork😋 belly. We had a very enjoyable lunch, thank you Côte!

We decided to try this Cote restaurant (been to many before on different locations) as were visiting Windsor again. Service was really good. Food is always good at Cote. It was lovely to sit next to the river as it was a lovely warm day. I have to say I was a bit underwhelmed with the seafood main I had (like a seafood pie) as some of the prawns were a bit cold and it didn't have a lot of flavour. My main salad was really delicious and my husband's soup was amazing (corn and mushroom truffle?). Will definitely go back again. Service is always good at Cote. Thank you.

A
Andy Bell

Great central location with river and castle views, seating up and downstairs, in and outside. Usual high quality food from Cote’s French leaning menu served by well trained staff. Serviceable wine list but surprisingly that a non-alcoholic cocktail can cost more than a “real” one.

A
Alessandro Butini

Ok restaurant with some ok food with an ok atmosphere. Good views of the castle. Steak and frites ok, I would go for the classic one. There is a great GF selection on the menu. Scallops very tasty and great texture. Corn soup is ok. The veggie gratin was flavoursome. They are super friendly with kids, but I would not rush to go back.

C

Came for brunch before going to the panto. Food was excellent although the service whilst quick could gave been friendlier. The lady who took our order failed to smile once and our presence seemed to be a genuine inconvenience to her. She bought the wrong coffee over for one of our party and again looked annoyed when we politely pointed this out and we did not receive an apology. The other lady who delivered our food was great though

We had our Wedding Reception in the dining area downstairs and we had a lovely time! Staff and service was attentive. Great intimate setting! Frites were flowing as well as drinks! Overall guests really enjoyed the food, the only dish that wasn’t enjoyed was the Half - Roast Chicken. Special shoutout to all the servers and to the management team for their excellent communication prior to the booking we really appreciate it! Thank you for being a part of our special day! Would highly recommend and will be back!

Six of us had Christmas dinner at Cote in Windsor tonight and I have a few things to say. The food was hit and miss. The chicken was okay, the béarnaise sauce was too buttery (on the hollandaise-y side with not enough tarragon), and the burgers were too poor in presentation and taste too. See for yourself. For the £18 it should have been served with a lot more to be desired for. On the other hand, the creme brûlée was superb. Now, the service. The waitress either hated our guts or she is like that always. I guess I wanted to feel like I was welcomed in the restaurant and I suppose I needed a smile from her. One would have been enough. Saying that, she served us well, it was just that, a smile was needed. She is, after all, working as a server. Oh and one last thing. We were charged £1 for charity and on the bill it was added under “Mains away” which is a ridiculous place to put that charge. (See image) Without even informing us of the fact. Mains away. That’s funny. I mean what, you call our mains, and charge us for the call? Pft.

We were fortunate to have a seat next to the windows where we were able to see the river and the castle where the view was magnificent. The food was not as great as I hoped as the reviews that I have seen had gotten my hopes up. The chicken I got was tender but was quite oily. The muscles in the Breton fish stew had large shells but the actual muscles inside were quite small. The stew was also a bit to salty for me. The sour dough bread that came with the dishes were not that great either as the bread was too dense and dry. The waiter was friendly and helpful. Overall, I’d recommend this restaurant more for those who prioritize a great view and are willing to pay a premium for it over food quality and value. Personally, I don’t think it’s worth the money.

R

The view was incredible and the restaurant was clean. Depending on your waiter you got good service. I noticed some waiters were attentive. The food was well prepared and presented.

had dinner on new years eve with my mother and wife. it can best be described as underwhelming. The service felt rushed as if they wanted to get us out as soon as possible. starters were ok, souffle, prawns, and french onion soup. portion size of french onion soup has been reduced and prawn starter is small bearing in mind there both nearly a tenner. informed there was no chicken left during the order. not informed beforehand. mains ok but expensive. the portion size of the spinach side order was the smallest thing i have ever been served!! waitress said it was always like this. if you want to go to cotes maybe have something to eat before you go and be prepared to spend a lot of money on some very small portions that are at best average. i guess they dont have to rely on repeat business with the restaurant being in such a great location.

I love Cote but this visit on my birthday wasn't as good as usual. The waitress was lovely but in a tearing hurry and made a mistake on the order. The French onion soup was lukewarm. The chicken was dry. (The chips and veg were great). Someone else was treating me and so I didn't return food or make a fuss, and I enjoyed the evening very much - atmosphere, as always was great. But it's the first second rate meal I've had at Cote in all the many years I've been going there. Sadly.

Food was ok, good atmosphere. Scallops and black pudding very dry, cheese soufflé was really good! Some friendly staff. The service started off good, but went down hill as it got busier. The waiting staff who bought the food out of the kitchen came to the table asked who was having what, then just passed it across the table for us to take from them, no putting it in front of you. Cote isn’t quite what it was, not sure if it’s since it’s been taken over! Not sure we’re go back.

P

Not great. My burger was extremely dry and unappealing. We also ordered a minute steak that was incredibly gristly. We called the waitress over. She apologised, but offered no solution or refund. I won't be returning anytime soon.

D
Donna Sidebotham

Food was OK....I can't say it was super special but it was what I would expect for the price point.....not special.... that said, I was blown away by dessert so definitely don't miss pudding as it's the best bit! Low stars because I am not on board with cashless business. We wanted to pay with legal tender or cash. They refused and I didn't see anything in advance of this to tell us this would be the case and it was not mentioned on booking so we couldnt make an informed choice which put a cloud innthe evening. I'm fed up with not being able to manage my legal money as I choose. So we won't be back. There are many lovely places to eat who will still take cash

Windsor residents and we haven't been to Côte in about 5 years so decided to give it another go...Prime location, it doesn't get much prettier and better location than that.. Staff is very attentive and friendly, but the food is nothing but lackluster... So bland and unimaginative.. Shame, as with a prime location like that, Côte could easily be a prime restaurant for both residents and tourists.. Seems they focus more on the one time visitors that won't return..

C

I had lunch at Côte Windsor with a friend today, having booked a table in advance. While the food was good, the overall experience was disappointing. We were seated outside in a cramped corner with inadequate space, squeezed between a banister and a table of six. Despite the restaurant not being full, the staff seemed too busy to attend to us properly. We had to place our order three times, each time with a different waiter, and waited 35 minutes for it to be entered into the system. We ordered Calamari and Chicken Liver Parfait, followed by the Father’s Day platter for two. Unlike other customers, we weren't offered the accompanying beer. The constant disturbance from a nearby table with energetic children added to the discomfort. Despite the beautiful view and good food, the service and atmosphere were subpar, worse than some fast food experiences.

We have been having a girls lunch at Cote’s Windsor for many years. We get together every 5-6 months and Windsor is in the middle for everyone to travel to. Cote’s has always been our favourite, but we were left very disappointed after visiting this week. The service was non existent , you had to keep trying to get the staffs attention,. It’s not as though it was busy ,there were only a couple of other tables occupied. When the food arrived it looked as though it had been thrown on the plate, lettuce leaves all over the plate, my friend even had the lettuce stalk on her plate. The steak 3 of us had was all fatty and look insipid. We spoke to the waiter and he sent the manager over. He understood the problem and took the 3 steaks off of the bill. . After much waiting we were offered the sweet menu, poor selection but we all found something. When we eventually got the bill I was blown away, by how much there prices have increased. We had 3 main courses removed and it was still more than we’ve ever paid before. It’s a shame as I’ve always called it my favourite restaurant, I even bought mum and dad a voucher for their Xmas present last year. We won’t be back I’m afraid, another Windsor restaurant will have our custom for lunch.

R
Ryland Kenney

Service was pretty slow and the food was below average especially for the price. Ribeye had grill marks but no char and a lot of fat. Steak was under seasoned. Got the crème brûlée for desert and it was loose and bland. I wouldn’t go back.

L
Lucy Hargreaves

We have had better experiences at cotes and unfortunately this was disappointing. Steak was not cooked how we asked and was unable to cut it. Meal was changed to something else which was appreciated but makes the experience different. Also had to change table as was cold.

The single most awful lunch . We were a party of 4 , although Valentine’s Day , we were celebrating my mother’s 82nd birthday . The service was abysmal . Staff making eye contact yet continuing to ignore you . Hygiene was minus the highest number. The food was terrible . I did not eat anything . My onion soup tasted of water . The sea bream looked boiled and not grilled . It was served skin facing upwards . Underneath the fish were cherry tomatoes and fake soggy saute potatoes . The steaks were tough . The fries cold and stale . Cote were advertising free flow frites which we did not experience . Instead they served the tiniest portion of stale old fries with no top ups offered . The mousse was sloppy and runny . We ordered a double mousse for 2 and they served one forgetting the second one which they tried to serve 20 minutes later. We could not get the attention of any staff . Finally I asked for the bill which took time to arrive . No one came back with the card machine for payment . After waiting some more time we got up and made our way to the exit stopping to pay. The food was not fresh and inedible . Avoid at all costs. Complete waste of money .

Some of the worst food I’ve ever eaten. The seafood linguine was terrible! There was no sauce literally just 6 mussels and 6 prawns with egg noodles??! (See photos) My boyfriend ordered the half chicken, it was very dry. To be honest we could have made better food at home and for cheaper. What’s the purpose of eating out?

D
DANNY R

came here last year and was absolutely brilliant however this year has gone very down hill, service is so poor waited 30 minutes to be served , i ordered a calamari and it came in no joke 2 minutes which felt odd, then comes the seafood linguine were i swear to god the pasta is instant noodles from the corner shop. Not to mention the fact the waitress dropped a pot of sauce all over me and laughed it off . Not worth it anymore .

R
Rodrigo TA

We recently visited Côte Windsor and unfortunately the experience didn’t fully meet our expectations. The management at the entrance and in the dining area felt a bit unwelcoming, although our waiter was friendly and attentive. We ordered a sharing steak and fries for £65, which felt quite expensive for a fairly simple dish, and the dessert was also quite basic. For two people, the total came to £98, which didn’t feel fully aligned with the overall quality of the meal. Additionally, the toilet facilities were not in the best condition during our visit, which affected our overall impression. We hope these points are helpful, as the restaurant has potential to provide a much better experience.
