The red velvet pancakes were amazing; no syrup needed. The chicken scramble (with pieces of chicken tenders) was very savory. The biscuits and gravy were like none other I had ever tasted. The piece of fried chicken was not greasy and very tasty. The cinnamon roll had great taste but was a little dry, perhaps because it was a corner piece. Joey V says, "Check It Out !"
Great place! First time there. Nice, friendly and accommodating staff. We had a larger group and were able to find one of the unique larger tables to dine at. I tried the catfish and grits with egg, it was really good flavor on the catfish and was perfectly cooked! The pancakes had a great flavor to them, some of the best I've had at a restaurant (bold I know, but true). The egg was perfectly cooked as well. Chicken was super moist and fresh. The biscuit and gravy were just right. All of the dishes were just the perfect amount of food for each dish. Nice unique place and for large or small groups. If you have a few minutes to look around, check out all the cool photos of the show chickens on the walls. Enjoy!
First time going was great. I tried out their chicken fried steak and it was wonderful. The serving size is huge also. The restaurant itself is a mix of old furniture, which my wife fell in love with. The staff is very friendly and we were even given a free desert because we had to wait on a side item without us complaining at all. We will give it another try for sure.
I have never been here before, let me tell you...FANTASTIC. The ambiance was perfect and so quaint. It wasn't crazy inside but there was a consistent line. The concept is perfect and a great place for people with big families or have family in town. The food, so fresh and tasty. The fried green tomato grilled cheese, outta sight. The chicken tenders were crispy and juicy. Corn 🍞, top notch. Go and check this place out.
It was fairly busy but we were able to snag a table without terrible at this counter other establishment. My companions love it and have eaten there many times, it was my first. They were both pleased with their egg combos. I had the giant chicken tender on a biscuit with sausage gravy and an egg. The gravy was super thick and not very gravy like but tasted pretty good, and the tender was kind of salty. Overall it was a good meal. Prices aren't bad, I added a side of fruit and coffee and it all came out to about $13.
This place is fantastic. I like to consider myself somewhat of a Chicken Sandwich connoisseur and this definitely didn’t disappoint. You can tell they use good seasonings and balance the heat level just right. I will be returning to this establishment next time I’m in the area.
* Chicken fried steak* Is beef not chicken, still good. Ordered to go, a long line. Real mashed potato. Fresh fry Okra has a hitch of mustard~nice. Like their biscuits. The price matched better meat quality compared to the other two we went to. Meat is a bit salty to my taste. Definitely will be back again soon.
1st time here & will return! Enjoyed a tasty plate of chicken & dumplings that was excellent. Affordable prices & hearty serving sizes. Southern comfort food with weekly varying specials. Dinner tables & decor create a very homey, warm atmosphere.
Amazing first experience. Why? Well—service, staff, seating, and most importantly—delicious and perfectly cooked food were all on point. The ambiance is fresh and farm house like. Filled with mixed crowd on a common mission to eat what may be on the best fried chicken in Greater Orlando. Thumbs up guys—we’ll be back. Highly recommend trying them out.
Had lunch with a few co-workers, and loved the place. Great service, and great food. My first time here, but definitely not my last. Had the tacos(tacos Tuesday of course) and got it three ways. Loved it. The great service makes a great place even that much better...Edit, didn’t know till recently that they served breakfast. I was in the area with some time to kill so I gave them a try. Absolutely spot on, the food was fast, fresh, and delicious. I’m definitely a fan of this place. ( I had the fish, and grits) ...
We have had lunch many times at The Coop but it had been a while until today. The Coop and 4Rivers all over town were open today(usually closed Sundays) from 11AM-3PM to benefit the people of The Bahamas who suffered horrible loss from the hurricane this week. This is not the first time this company has opened their restaurants to benefit people in tragic situations. They are great role models for other businesses. Today, we joined the line which stretched outside and across the front of the restaurant. Even with such a long line, we only waited about 20 minutes to place our order. They were serving both breakfast and lunch and we ordered both. We ordered a Breakfast Combo which consisted of eggs, bacon, home style breakfast potatoes and a waffle, we also ordered a Spanish omelet and finally a chicken pot pie with sides of mashed potatoes and gravy and Mac n cheese. Everything was very very tasty. Nice thick cut flavorful bacon, eggs cooked just right, nice crisp and fluffy waffle, tasty Spanish omelet, flavorful pot pie filling with big chunks of chicken and perfect crust, lumpy mashed potatoes with a very tasty brown gravy (I prefer less lumps) and an average Mac n cheese. Service was friendly as always and the staff was attentive to each party as they were patiently waiting for their food to be brought to the tables. The restaurant was immaculately clean as always, plenty of space around tables, perfect cool temperature and clean restrooms. I cannot day enough positive things about our experience today at The Coop.
Loved this cafeteria style place. You order and they bring it to you. We ordered the big sticky bun, sausage gravy & biscuits, omelette and coffee. It was delicious. Not one bad thing. This was their first Sunday that they opened. Another great place to eat in Winter Park. Next time we’ll sit outside in a lovely patio area.
The coop, simply put southern comfort food. Like the kind my neighbors mom used to make when we went out to the ranch to bale hay. I had by recommendation the chicken and dumplings, they were perfectly seasoned and the dumplings had the right consistency. Collard greens had the right amount of seasoning. And the bread pudding could easily have a money back guarantee because it is that good. The wait staff was friendly the service was quick, and the price reasonable. we returned for a breakfast visit and found it to be just as good. We had a friend who was having a hard morning and Edwardo went out of his way to ding some hot cocoa. Two thumbs up.

I want to start this review out by saying this place is a gem. The chicken is delicious, the mashed potatoes top tier, and the coconut dessert we had was divine. Everything was tasty, but some was nothing to write home about. The fried okra was okay. I love fried okra and make it every special occasion. It was my favorite Sunday staple growing up, and this dish here, while good, was not the best. It came out a little cold and some pieces didn’t have any flavor at all. The macaroni wasn’t anything special. It was edible, but lacked any flavor other than salt. We ordered a couple different sauces to go with our chicken plate. The white sauce is good, but is not traditional. It’s the consistency of ranch. The honey mustard was okay. The chicken and waffles were our favorite out of the two entrees. The sweet waffle and savory chicken paired really well together. I enjoyed putting a little pepper sauce on the chicken to give it a little kick as well. Overall, we will be back and I will edit my review accordingly. We had just got there right before a big rush and that could have honestly been the issue with a lot of my complaints. My biggest one being was that it took nearly 40 minutes to get our food. I don’t care to wait, but it’s disheartening to see people who ordered after you not only get their food, but eat and leave before you even get your meal. Everyone was super friendly and the place is cute.
This was a nice, casual place for a reasonably priced breakfast! I really liked the counter service vibe, it was pretty unique for a place that isn’t fast food. I was there on a Sunday morning at 8am and it wasn’t busy at all. I had the Caramelized French Toast and it was good! My partner had the Chicken & Waffle Benedict and he also liked it! Nothing too rave about, but I would come back.
The wait was insane but this place is awesome. Their food is so so so good, especially their chicken and waffles. My omelette was great but that fried chicken was heavenly. From their pumpkin pancakes to their peanut butter cookie with Reese’s, everything was delicious. Highly recommend!!
Pretty good southern fried chicken and southern style brunch. The fried chicken is better than what you'd get at a typical chain restaurant, but it's not the best. The batter is a little too over-seasoned while the chicken meat doesn't have much flavor penetrated into the meat. Sides are ok, but nothing too exceptional. We ordered too late for brunch menu, but I'm looking forward to trying the egg benedicts. Prices are a bit high for what it is. Service was fast and that curb side window was relatively convenient.

Ok this place is cool looking and has a southern charm theme which it definitely stick to through the restaurant. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The dessert selections are very delicious. The chicken is seasoned to perfection. The problem...? All of the food is seasoned the same way, so the chicken and potatoes and bacon taste the same. I don't want all of my food to taste the same, their should be distinct differences-flavor wise-between bacon and chicken. Also the way you get your food is a bit chaotic because servers have to search for the table you're sitting at. They might as well invest in a PA system and call your number to grab your food. Having a server go table to table asking whether or not you ordered something is annoying for them as well as the person who has to keep getting excited for food that turns out NOT to be theirs. The potential here is great however the execution could use some improvements.
Third time trying the Coop, and sealed the deal that I won't order/dine again. Nothing special about burnt edge French toast, lukewarm gravy, and shashooka. Gravy has a good kick to it, very flavorful. The tenders are incredibly tasty when you dine in though if u get carry out breading come right off the fried green tomatoes and chicken tender.

Very disappointed. I came here to try their fried chicken but today it’s Sunday so only breakfast. That’s fine I can try something else. Very crowded and tables and floors are super dirty. Food waited super long then finally came out. My waffle is cold. My chicken seasoning is ok but it’s not hot food. My boyfriend’s food is just ok. Nothing tastes very nice or delicious. They are really just ok. Not worth the time and the money. I thought since it is 4 river it will be good as their normal bbq house. Disappointed.
